Kakashi's eyes are fixed on the new band that adorned Sakura's fingers. The first one is familiar to him. But the new glinting silver ring that Sakura is wearing is new to him. But looking at the happy visage of his former student, it seems like he knows what the second ring meant.
"Haruno Sakura." Kakashi said. Causing Sakura to turn and face her former sensei. "Or should I say Uchiha Sakura?" he teased.
Sakura's wide eyes scanned the room and pushed Kakashi out of the hospital, her cheeks burning.
"Kakashi-sensei!" Sakura said.
"Why? Are you ashamed of your husband?" Kakashi teased.
"Yes, Sakura. Are you ashamed of me?" Itachi's form suddenly materialized beside her, his voice is laced with hurt.
Sakura's face turned an even deeper shade of red, but a bright smile played on her lips. "No, I'm not ashamed! I will never be ashamed of you, Itachi." she assured her husband. "It's just... I wasn't expecting you to tease me about it so soon." she accused Kakashi.
Kakashi chuckled, his eye crinkling with amusement. "Well, you know me, Sakura. I can't resist a good opportunity for teasing. But on a serious note, I'm genuinely happy for you. Itachi is a good man, and you two make a great couple."
Sakura's embarrassment faded into gratitude, and she nodded. "Thank you, Kakashi-sensei. It means a lot coming from you."
Itachi, standing beside Sakura, gave Kakashi a nod of acknowledgment. "Thank you, Kakashi. Your approval means a lot to us."
Kakashi, despite his teasing demeanor, couldn't hide the genuine happiness in his eye. "Well, you two take good care of each other. And Sakura, don't hesitate to knock some sense into this guy's head when he needs it."
Sakura laughed, a sound that carried the joy of the moment. She hooked her arm through her husband. "Don't worry, Kakashi-sensei. I've got that covered."
The three of them shared a moment of camaraderie, a testament to the bonds formed through years of shared experiences as a team. As they stood outside the hospital, the village bustling with life around them, it felt like a scene from a story—a story written in the language of ninja, shaped by love, loyalty, and the enduring spirit of Konoha.
Kakashi, with a subtle smile, excused himself, leaving the couple to bask in the glow of their reunion. Itachi and Sakura, hand in hand, watched Kakashi disappear into the crowd.
"So, Uchiha Sakura," Itachi said, a playful glint in his eyes. "How does it feel to officially carry the Uchiha name?"
Sakura grinned, her gaze meeting Itachi's. "It feels like the beginning of a wonderful chapter in our lives, Itachi-kun."
He leaned down to kiss her forehead, the affectionate gesture sealing the promise of their shared future. "I'm glad to be back, Sakura. And I'm looking forward to every moment with you."
