Summary: At seventeen years of age, Atreus and his father found themselves in another realm, one that was unfortunately filled with the less crazy, but irritating versions of the gods they had slain. Can they live their life in peace? Or the supernatural world of DxD will be forced to know the full might of THE God of War? Atreus will try to make sure that won't happen… anytime soon at least.

The story will focus on Atreus, with Kratos being a side-character most of the time.

Friendly reminder for those who might have forgotten: For the time being, Kratos and Mimir are known only as Kevin and Mike by other people.

Pairings: Atreus x Harem

Kratos x Yasaka (final)

Son of War

Chapter 28

The first sign of his arrival was the howl of the family's pet wolf.

And then, they all saw him, charging straight into battle while riding on Fenrir, who had enlarged to his true size, towering over even the largest monsters in the area. Several golden armored soldiers tried to stop the pair, but Fenrir forced them back with a wave of icy wind, encasing several in the ice before leaping over their heads and the gate of Kuoh academy to come crashing down the center of their army within the school ground.

Snarling ferally, Fenrir began tearing apart monsters and soldiers that dared to get too close to him with his god killer fangs and claws, causing chaos within the tight formation that the golden armored warrior of Hyperion had formed as they matched together into Kuoh academy. The warrior riding on his back also wasted no time to jump off, already understanding what had to be done upon seeing his son as he descended upon a group of soldiers, hacking them and their weapons to pieces before they could even do anything against him.

A nearby minotaur charged toward Kratos with a roar and brought its gigantic battle axe down his head, but the weapon shattered into pieces immediately upon colliding with the Leviathan axe as Kratos brought it up. Holding the weapon briefly in the air, Kratos then brought it down in a wide arc, chopping the arms of the half bull, half man monster off before he swung his weapon at its left shoulder, cleaving it in two right down to its right hip.

"Get out of my way!"

Instantly, Kratos raised his shield and blocked the flaming sword of his attacker, creating a ring of fire upon collision that ignited the ground and blew up everything around them, even those of the monster army, upon collision. The ground under their feet cracked before a giant crater was formed, but Kratos did not even flinch, looking directly and fearlessly into the flaming sockets of Hyperion as he stood his ground against the mighty strength of the powerful Titan.

"So, you are the one called Kratos."

Hyperion smirked, but Kratos said nothing in response despite the fact that someone he had never met before, at least in this world, had just addressed him with his real name. On a flaming path behind Hyperion, the charred corpses of monsters and golden armored warriors lay scattered around, displaying that in order to get to Kratos, the flaming titan had run over his own soldiers.

"Gotta say… I was expecting someone taller." Hyperion said as he brought his sword back for another strike, but Kratos was fully prepared this time. Swinging his shield down, Kratos thrust his shoulder forward, knocking Hyperion off balance while looking to be unaffected by his flame or the heat before bringing his axe out to swing at his enemy. Hyperion was able to parry it, causing a tremendous dome of divine energy to expand around them from the point of impact before sending both combatants flying back and crashing hard into the ground.

Recovering about at the same time, Hyperion was about to run toward Kratos again, but he was stopped when his inner alarm alerted him of an incoming danger. In an instant, the flaming Titan snapped his head to the side, dodging an energy arrow that was shot at him by Atreus. This, however, led him not being able to react in time to Zagreus, who emerged from the shadow on the ground to leap into the air and uppercut the flaming Titan in the chin with the right Malphon gauntlet, sending him stumbling back while grunting in pain.

"What? You have forgotten about us already?" Landing on the ground, Zagreus asked Hyperion tauntingly with a smirk on his face.

"Insolent spawn of Hades!" Snarling hatefully in response, Hyperion swung at Zagreus, but the son of Hades simply roll to the side to avoid his flaming sword and threw Aegis at his head, hitting his right temple with a loud clank.

"Wolf boy!"

"Got it!" Just like before, Atreus appeared exactly where the shield was in the air and caught it in his hand to bash it across Hyperion's face, sending the Titan flying several feet back.

It was at that moment all hell broke loose across the entire academy, becoming a battlefield when the combined force of the Three Faction and Yasaka, gaining morale from Kratos and arrivals, charged right into the army of monsters from the front, meeting them head on in battle with the leaders of the three factions leading the charge while being aided by their forces.

"You two, with me. We will deal with their commander." After finishing a Minotaur with his axe, Kratos walked over to his son and Zagreus, who recalled his shield and turned it back into his sword to slash at a nearby soldier.

"Yes, father!"

"You got it."

Nodding his head to them, Kratos then turned his attention over to Rias and her servants, ordering them in the same tone "You! Watch our flanks, but keep your distance. Remember your training!"

"YES, SIR!" Rias and her servants, with the exception of Asia who stayed behind with Nyx to aid them from afar using her healing bow and arrows, answered in unison.

Nodding in approval, Kratos then looked over to Sirzechs and Azazel, speaking to them with a voice strong and loud enough for them to hear over all the fighting around them. "Sirzechs, watch over them! You! Split your army into three groups. Tell them to spread out and watch the sky!"

"Me?" Azazel repeated before saying "Look pal, I know that you are scary and all, but I am not taking…"

But Azazel was interrupted when a minotaur charged at Kratos, bringing its enormous battle axe down toward him in a wide swing to cleave the man in two. Before the weapon could find its mark, Kratos swiftly sidestepped to the side and grabbed the minotaur by both of its horns, wrestling it down before it could react to him and snapped its neck.

In a tornado of fire, Hyperion teleported back to the fight with his blade at the read, but Atreus and Zagreus did not let him strike, throwing themselves at him to force him back from Kratos, who then spun around and brought out his axe to slash at a giant Drakon, a giant serpent like monster that came right at him, shattering its jaw before Yasaka tore through the middle section of its body with her Senjutsu infused claws.

"Remliel, Salathiel! Gather your troops and spread out." Needing no more persuasion, Azazel immediately turned to his two commanders and gave the exact command that Kratos had wanted him to, making both fallen angels nod their heads before taking off. Michael and Gabriel also gave the order for their own army to aid their fallen brother and sisters, while the devil faction were led by Serafall against the army of monsters on the ground.

Meanwhile, Kratos dealt with two cyclops that charged at him with Yasaka, who used her tails to gracefully swipe the one eyed monster off of its feet before slashing it with her claws, empowered by her youkai technique, cutting it into pieces. Next to her, Kratos jumped into the air and grabbed the other Cyclops by its head, using the momentum behind his jump to push the giant one eyed brute down before he shot his hand out to grab onto its one and single eye, making the Cyclops roar in pain as he brutally yanked its eye out of its socket.

Blood splashed all over his right arm and the side of his body, but Kratos did not stand there and enjoy his victory. Tossing the eye to the side, Kratos then charged at a group of golden cladded soldiers and rammed into them, sending them all flying despite the fact that they had stood together with their shields raised in front of them before using his spear to quickly deal with the others.

The display of strength and brutality that Kratos had shown along with the combined powers of the three factions greatly demoralized the army of Hyperion. Some began to nervously back off from Kratos whenever they were too close to them and switched to easier targets to pick off, while those who were foolish enough to keep on attacking met the same fates as those before them when the Kratos, and occasionally, his students, dealt with them.

Snarling like an angered wild animal, Hyperion pushed both Atreus and Zagreus back by unleashing a wave of invisible energy, but both gods stood their ground using their shield before ducking in the opposite directions to dodge a giant fireball being thrown at them. Before Hyperion could make another attack, Atreus, who was boosted up in the air by his father, rained down a barrage of arrows at Hyperion, forcing the titan to raise his sword to deflect them, leaving him wide open for Zagreus to slash both of his thighs, drawing boiling ichor from the wounds and allowing the following arrows being followed by Atreus to hit.

"GRHH!" Gritting his teeth, Hyperion tried to swing at Zagreus, but his sword did not even make it halfway as Kratos leaped into the air and elbowed him hard across the face. The hit was so powerful that every combatant across the entire academy could feel it, and it hurt Hyperion far more than when Zagreus did it with a divine possession like the twin Fists of Malphon, stunning Hyperion long enough for Atreus to unleash multiple elemental spells upon him, with each one being more powerful than the last.

"Eat this!" Weaving through the explosion of magic, Zagreus lunged at Hyperion and punched him, with Atreus descending at the same time to kick the other side of his face. Shocked, Hyperion collapsed for the first time, struggling to get back up on his feet while crawling pathetically on all four, though just like before, he was able to recover fairly quickly, but the moment that he did, Zagreus gave him another punch with his fist weapon.

His attack was then followed up by Atreus, who dashed toward him and kneed him hard across the face before twirling around to fire an arrow at his eye with Coronacht as he fell back, making Hyperion roar in pain. His soldiers tried to aid their master and heal him by once again throwing bottles of Greek fire at their master, but they were instantly stopped and dealt with by Rias and her servants, with Kiba and Xenovia jumping into the air and catching the bottles before they could explode and rain the fire down for Hyperion to absorb.

Before Hyperion could make them his target, Kratos had already rushed in and punched him in the guts. The Titan tried to block the punch and counter with his sword, but Kratos simply blocked the blade with his shield before his punch landed, lifting Hyperion into the air with the force behind it as a ring of fire exploded around them. Not wasting even a second, Kratos then disarmed Hyperion as he stunned the Titan with another punch to the face before following it with a series of devastating blows that left dents on his armors and shattered the bones inside his body.

Across the battlefield, his troop could do nothing but watch while getting taken out one by one as Hyperion got savagely beaten down by who they thought were just a nobody. Even the members of the three factions had never seen a beating like that before in their life, as Kratos did not give him even a moment to catch his breath. With each earthshaking blow from his fists, Hyperion's body got smaller and smaller until he was back to his original size. His flame also started to dwindle, burning far weaker than it had been before as he was forced to exhaust his strength to heal up from all the damages he had been suffering.

"ENOUGH!" Suddenly, Hyperion roared and shot forward to grab Kratos by his head, gathering all of his flame into his hands and trying to burn the man with every fiber of his godly essence, using all the remaining strength that he had left.

Once again his flame burnt strong, radiating a heat unlike anything anyone had ever seen or felt before, becoming so intense that the metals of the destroyed structure around him started to melt away in a mere second, forcing those who were fighting nearby to immediately run away.

"Burn to…"

But his words were cut off when Kratos shot his hands up and grabbed both of his wrists, making Hyperion grit his teeth in pain and loosen his before Kratos started to pry his fingers off of him, slowly but surely lifting his hands up as Hyperion fought back. The struggle between the two powerhouses was enough to cause the ground under their feet to break, shaking violently before eventually splitting up in the center, creating a rocky, burning canyon right in the middle of Kuoh, but it was quite clear that Kratos was winning as he slowly pushed Hyperion back, his face showing nothing but pure determination as he endured the Titan's fire and his hands burnt with one of light orange color.

Just before Hyperion could do make his next move, Kratos suddenly shot forward and headbutted him hard, breaking his nose before Zagreus and Atreus jumped at the Titan and punched him in his face at the same time as he was stunned from Kratos' headbutt, sending him reeling and stumbling back. Seeing his chance to deal the final blow, Kratos reached behind his back and brought out one of his chain blades, igniting it with its primordial flame before slashing it up, slicing Hyperion's right hand clean off much to the shock of all those who were watching.

"T-that flame…" Hyperion murmured as he stumbled back.

That fire burnt him, HIM, the Titan of fire itself.

What more? It even cauterized the part of his arm where his hand was cut off.

But he was never given the chance to realize how, as Kratos recalled his other weapon and swung at him, giving him no time to react as the blade of the Leviathan axe cut into his armor and sunk into his rib. As golden blood flowed out of his wound, Hyperion fought through the immense pain and tried to punch Kratos, but this proved to be his last attempt at trying to wound the man, who yanked his axe back and dodged his fist before using his blade to cut the other hand as well and then stabbing it down his shoulder, forcing Hyperion to drop onto his knees before him.

"I see… I get it now…" Hyperion said as he looked up at Kratos, who raised his axe over his head, while golden blood poured out of his mouth. Deciding that he would not show fear, Hyperion had a smirk on his face as he spoke his last words "Enjoy your victory while it lasts… my brothers and I will be seeing you soon, Ghost of Sparta."

With that, Kratos brought his axe down Hyperion's head with a battle cry, almost cutting it clean off in half. There was no word spoken, no sound made as his golden eyes rolled back into his skulls as his arms, what were left of it, fell lifelessly at his sides. Once his flame was gone, Kratos planted a foot on Hyperion's shoulder and yanked his axe back, leaving the lifeless corpse that was once the flaming Titan of the East to fall face first onto the ground before slowly dispersing into golden dust.

Across the battlefield, his army started on in horror at the scene before them, while those from the Three Factions could only look at it, specifically the ashen skinned warrior who stood before the dead Titan with nothing but shock, amazement, and also even fear in their eyes.

A Titan, killed?

They had heard that even gods could possibly be killed with a powerful Longinus type Sacred Gear, but a man slaying a Titan, whose very existence was even more ancient and more powerful than the gods themselves? It was a feat that not even the six eldest gods could accomplish during the first Titanomachy, leaving them with no choice but to seal them all away in the deepest depths of Tartarus.

Was Kratos even a man? His name was the name of the Greek god of strength, but they all had the feeling that they were not the same being, as they were not sure if the other Kratos could do something like what they had just witnessed.

Resting his axe on his shoulder, Kratos then turned his attention over to the army of monsters and hardened his gaze, causing them all to immediately turn around and scramble away in fear, even the bravest soldiers of Hyperion's own golden armored troops. Roaring in victory, the combined force of the Three Factions immediately chased after them, picking off the remaining monsters and aiming to capture a few for questioning before they could escape.

"No." Rias and her peerage would have joined them if Kratos had not raised his hand and told them to stay still. As they stopped, he then turned to them and continued. "Leave it to the soldiers. Your job here is over. You have done well today. All of you."

"Thank you, sir!" Rias and her servants said at the same time, before Gasper slumped down and sighed in relief, having fought and assisted the others beyond what he thought he could do. Soon, the peerage grouped up with Asia and celebrated their victory with Atreus, who could not help but glance over to his father and saw the man having a faraway, somewhat thoughtful look on his face as he gazed at the spot where Hyperion had been.

It was on that day that the peace treaty between the three factions was signed, becoming the first stepping stone for the other Factions to do the same and come to come together.

However, it was on that day that the battle of Kuoh Academy was known across all the realms, and the rest of the world learnt about the man who shared his name with the Greek God of strength, Kratos and his son, Atreus.

End of chapter 28

Note: And that is the end of this chapter! And the conclusion for the Peace Treaty Arc!

A bit shorter than the last one, but I hope that you guys have enjoyed reading this chapter regardless. I don't want the fight scene to drag out for too long, because we all know that Kratos is not gonna do dialogues in the middle of the fight and focus solely on ending it. I hope that I have done a decent fight scene for Kratos, even if it's still kinda, unexpectedly, one sided with Atreus and Zagreus assisting him. I have a good time writing it, so I hope that you guys will have a good time reading it as well.

That will be all. Next chapter we will move on to the next arc! Now that everyone has known his real name, I will stop using Kevin as the name everyone addressed Kratos with lol.

As always, leave behind a REVIEW once you have finished reading! It seems that everyone really enjoyed the last chapter! I am glad that I was able to deliver an awesome fight scene between Atreus, Zagreus and Hyperion, so I hope that this one will do the same having Kratos in action. Please give me a lot of reviews and feedbacks to inspire me to write faster and better, okay!?
