A new day has begun and the anticipation was palpable as Ash, his excitement evident in every sprinting step, made his way to the stadium for his next battle. He was pumped and ready to take on his next challenge, fueled by the thrill of competition.

Inside the stadium, the pairings for the next round were revealed by Freddy O'Martian: Ash would be facing off against Georgia, Antonio would battle Dino, Luke would test his skills against Cilan, and Iris would confront Stephan. Ash couldn't help but wonder who Georgia would choose as her battling pokemon after her impressive performance with Beartic in Round 1.

As the battle began, Ash confidently called upon his Charizard, the fiery Agni, to the field. Georgia countered with her Pawniard, setting the stage for an intriguing showdown. It had shocked Ash that she had chosen that pokemon, as he had expected her to use an Ice-type against his mostly Dragon-type team. Then again, Ash realized that Georgia had no idea that Ash specialized in Dragon-types. On both of his rounds he had chosen his non-dragons pokemon.

The stadium buzzed with energy as Ash and Georgia took their positions on opposite sides of the battlefield. The sun shone brightly overhead, casting a warm glow over the arena. Don George, always insightful, noted the fascinating clash between Agni's long-range fire attacks and Pawniard's close-range battling skills.

The battle began with Agni launching into action. With powerful flaps of his wings, he propelled himself into the air, hovering just above the ground. Flames danced at the edges of his maw as he prepared his opening move. Pawniard, agile and focused, darted forward, his metallic body gleaming under the sunlight. The clash between fire and steel was about to begin.

Agni unleashed his signature move, Flamethrower, sending forth a torrent of searing flames toward Pawniard. The intense heat distorted the air as the attack hurtled forward. Pawniard, displaying remarkable agility, evaded the flames with a nimble dodge to the side, his bladed arms raised defensively.

With quick thinking, Ash ordered Agni to follow up with Aerial Ace. The Fire/Flying-type descended upon Pawniard like a blazing comet, his wings aglow with energy. Pawniard tried to counter with a swift Metal Claw, but Agni's attack was faster.

The collision was spectacular, with sparks and flames erupting upon impact. Pawniard was knocked back, his sturdy defenses tested. Georgia, however, was undeterred, her confidence unwavering.

The battle continued, with Agni and Pawniard exchanging moves and strategies. Agni showcased his versatility, employing moves like Fire Fang and Dragon Tail, while Pawniard retaliated with his sharp claws and Iron Head.

The crowd watched in rapt attention, witnessing the dynamic battle between two determined trainers. Each move was met with cheers or gasps, creating an atmosphere charged with excitement.

Ultimately, after a hard-fought exchange of attacks and strategies, it was Ash and Agni who emerged victorious. Their unwavering teamwork and resilience had carried them through, finishing the battle with a powerful Inferno.

"Oh, well, I do not consider this a loss, as I have not been bested by a Dragon Specialist," Georgia shrugged uncaringly, as the referee called the battle on Ash's favor.

Meanwhile, Ash sweat dropped as Agni snorted a black cloud in amusement. "About that… I am a Dragon Specialist. My dream is to be a Dragon Master."

"No… that can't be true!" Georgia exclaimed shocked. "You used an Ampharos in Round 1 and now a Charizard on Round 2! They are not dragons!"

"Both Ampharos and Charizard can Mega Evolve into Dragon-types," Ash explained, chuckling. "The rest of my pokemon are Dragon-types though."

"Ah… no… but that would mean…" poor Georgia looked as if she was having a meltdown. "It still does not count! I was not defeated by a dragon! I will not count this as a loss against a Dragon Specialist! Next time we face each other it will be my Beartic against one of your true dragons!"

In synchronism, Ash frowned as Agni growled warningly. "Astrape and Agni are true dragons and members of my Thunder. I do not care about your opinions about dragons, but do not insult my pokemon like that every again. You want another battle? You've got one!"

With one last growl, both Ash and Agni left the battlefield. Their excitement for their battle and victory now gone, replaced by a burning inferno that pushed them to burn everything down in rage.

As Ash and Agni tried to collect themselves, it was time for the second match.

Dino and his Tranquill stepped onto the battlefield, exuding confidence. On the opposing side, Antonio seemed equally determined as he selected his Cottonee to battle. However, the match turned out to be rather one-sided, with Tranquill's superior strength and strategy leading to a swift victory for Dino.

With the battle concluded, Don George announced a brief intermission, allowing the trainers and spectators to catch their breath and prepare for the upcoming matches. The competition had everyone on the edge of their seats, eagerly awaiting the next showdown.

"How are you, Ash? I can't believe that Georgia! How rude she was to Agni!" Bianca pouted, as Ash finally joined them at the stands.

"We are ok," Ash sighed. "I just had to reassure Agni. He is quite sensitive about his typing and being surrounded by pokemon that do not need to Mega Evolve to become dragons."

"At least, he has Astrape now," Cilan reminded Ash. "Your pokemon know you love and cherish them; you do not need to worry about that."

"I hope, I do not," Ash smiled slightly at his best friend. He then turned to Luke, who was looking at him in return. "Why so nervous Luke? Do you need something?"

"Well, I was going to ask you to film my next battle for the documentary," Luke asked hesitantly. "But I don't think it is the best moment…"

"Nonsense! I would love to!" Ash cut him off in excitement.

Soon the break was over, and the matches began once more. Both Cilan and Luke went down to take their positions. Cilan offered some friendly advice, encouraging Luke to approach the battle as if he were directing a movie. He urged Luke to visualize the final product and formulate a plan accordingly. This advice seemed to both astound and baffle Luke, who couldn't fathom how Cilan could imagine so much.

The battle between Cilan and Luke commenced, and Cilan sent out his Stunfisk, who he had to call his brother to send him from their gym, to face off against Luke's Larvesta, which he referred to as his special effects master.

Cilan's Stunfisk wasted no time and unleashed a Scald attack, dousing Larvesta in scalding water. The Water-type move should have been super effective against Larvesta, a Fire-type pokemon. However, to everyone's surprise, Larvesta emerged from the attack unscathed.

Cilan, ever the connoisseur, complimented Larvesta's strength and determination. Luke, on the other hand, ordered a String Shot, ensnaring Stunfisk. Cilan countered with Thunder Shock, but Larvesta dodged with remarkable agility and struck Stunfisk with Bug Buzz.

The battle continued to heat up as Larvesta unleashed a powerful Flamethrower. To everyone's astonishment, Cilan allowed Stunfisk to take the full force of the attack. "Why are all so surprised? It was part of my plan all along," Cilan smirked. When the flames cleared, Stunfisk was free from the String Shot, leaving Luke and Larvesta baffled.

"You need to realize the importance of considering all aspects of a battle, including battlefield awareness," Cilan used this opportunity to educate Luke. "While Larvesta was a powerful pokemon, it had limited visibility, as demonstrated by his sidestep to dodge Thunder Shock."

Luke was left feeling a bit embarrassed but also enlightened by Cilan's words. Cilan continued with his lesson. "A skilled Trainer should envision their pokemon in various situations and adapt accordingly, a trait befitting a Gym Leader."

The battle took an unexpected turn as Stunfisk displayed a new ability—flight. He soared into the air, revealing his newfound skill as the crowd watched in amazement.

Cilan gave the command for another Scald, and Larvesta countered by cocooning himself in his String Shot. Stunfisk used Mud Bomb, launching Larvesta into the air. However, Larvesta skillfully broke free from his cocoon and used his flames to stay airborne, resembling a jetpack.

With an impressive display of power, Larvesta unleashed a final Flamethrower attack, roasting Stunfisk and securing victory for Luke.

The battle concluded with a handshake between Cilan and Luke. Cilan praised Luke for his intriguing battle, and Luke attributed his success to Cilan's valuable advice. Ash, true to his promise, had recorded the entire match on camera.

"Always the teacher," Ash teased his friend, as he handed Luke his camera back.

Cilan smiled back serenely. "What can I say? Our time in the Opelucid Academy and having both, you and Celeste, under my care, influenced me quite a bit."

"Well, we would have not become the Trainers we are without you there for us," Ash assured him, nudging him playfully, as Cilan flushed in pride.

As the Club Battle competition continued, it was Iris and Stephan's match next. With the battlefield set, Iris decided to send out her formidable Dragonite, a powerful and imposing pokemon. In response, Stephan made his choice, selecting his newly acquired Sawk, a Fighting-type known for its incredible strength and determination.

The battle between Iris and Stephan was fierce, with both Trainers displaying remarkable skill and strategy. Dragonite and Sawk clashed in a spectacle of power and technique. It was a battle that had everyone at the edge of their seats.

However, throughout the battle, Ash wore a troubled expression. His friends, including Bianca, couldn't help but notice his unease and concern. "What's wrong?" Bianca asked worriedly. "Iris is winning and avenging me! We should be celebrating!"

Ash, his frown deepening, shared his worries. "Iris's Dragonite is out of control, driven solely by brute force and disregarding Iris's commands. The victory in battle may have been achieved, but it came at the cost of losing the harmony and understanding that should exist between a Trainer and their pokemon."

Ash sighed, before continuing. "Dragon-types, like Dragonite, possessed incredible power, but they were much more than mere brute force. Dragonite's behavior, fueled by anger and insubordination, had the potential to turn dangerous, not just for opponents but for everyone involved."

As the battle concluded, Ash's concerns remained. His frown became more pronounced as Iris celebrated her victory, uncaringly about her pokemon's behavior. "It seems that she has not learned her lesson yet. Let's hope she does have to pay the price for it."

Cilan looked at his best friend with worry but stayed quiet. He knew better than to get involved in a moment like this. When it comes to dragons, it was better to just leave Ash to it. Maybe if they face each other during this tournament, Ash will be able to help Iris. Cilan sighed as he watched Ash going down for his next battle.

The stage was set for the semifinals of the Club Battle Tournament in Nimbasa Town, and the excitement in the air was palpable. Ash, along with his trusty partner Nephertite were determined to make it to the finals. On the other side of the battlefield stood Dino, ready to give it his all with his fiery Darumaka.

The battle commenced with a burst of energy as Darumaka unleashed a scorching Flamethrower towards Goodra. Nephertite, trained and battle-hardened, swiftly dodged the fiery attack, leaving a trail of steam in her wake.

"Alright, Nephertite, let's start strong! Rain Dance and then use Dragon Pulse!" Ash called out.

Nephertite responded and clouds began to form above them. As rain drops began to pour down, Nephertite became stronger, she unleashed a powerful burst of energy, forming a spiraling Dragon Pulse that streaked toward Darumaka. Dino, quick to react, had his Darumaka dodge the attack with a graceful leap to the side.

The battle continued with both sides displaying impressive agility and strategy. Darumaka utilized his Fire Punch, and Nephertite countered with a swift Dragon Claw. The clash of elements filled the arena with intensity as fire and water collided.

With the momentum hanging in the balance, Ash seized the opportunity to make a decisive move. He knew that Nephertite had the power to turn the tide. With a determined expression, he issued his command.

"Nephertite, it's time! Hydro Pump, at full force!"

Nephertite's eyes gleamed with determination as she unleashed a torrent of water with immense pressure. The Hydro Pump surged forward, a powerful and unrelenting force of nature. Darumaka, caught off guard, was engulfed by the watery onslaught.

The crowd watched in awe as the Hydro Pump enveloped Darumaka, pushing him back with overwhelming force. Dino tried to rally his pokemon, but it was clear that the power of the Hydro Pump was too much to withstand. Darumaka was knocked out, and the battle was decided.

The stadium erupted in cheers as Ash and Nephertite emerged victorious, securing their place in the finals. Ash, beaming with pride, rushed to embrace his pokemon, thanking Nephertite for her incredible performance.

Without losing another second, the next semifinals match began soon after. The battle between Luke and Iris was in full swing, as the two Trainers faced off, their pokemon ready for battle, the crowd watched with bated breath.

However, before the battle even began, Luke noticed something amiss. He turned to see Bianca filming his Zorua instead of focusing on his battle, a look of exasperation crossing his face. He had asked her to capture his battle, and her misplaced attention was a clear source of frustration.

Putting that aside, Luke turned his attention back to the arena, determined to give it his all. He sent out his Golett, a formidable Ghost and Ground-type Pokémon, while Iris confidently released her Axew.

The battle commenced with Iris giving the command for Axew to use Scratch. But it quickly became apparent that this Normal-type move was ineffective against Golett's Ghost-type, causing no damage. Luke saw the opportunity and ordered Golett to counter with a Mega Punch, which landed a direct hit on Axew.

Iris, undeterred, decided to switch tactics and had Axew unleash Dragon Rage. However, Golett employed Double Team, creating illusions of himself that confused Axew, causing Dragon Rage to miss its mark.

Luke, seizing the moment, instructed Golett to use Gyro Ball. As the three Goletts spun in unison, Axew struggled to keep track of the real one amidst the dizzying display. The attacks struck Axew simultaneously, creating a powerful explosion.

Iris, determined to make a comeback, ordered Axew to use Dragon Rage once more. Luke, however, had other plans and commanded Golett to retaliate with Shadow Ball. A dark, purple energy sphere formed in Golett's hands, which he hurled towards Axew. The collision of the two attacks created a spectacular display of power.

But the battle was far from over. Luke decided to use Gyro Ball once more, causing Golett to chase after the exhausted Axew. As the chase continued, Axew stumbled and fell, worn out from the pursuit.

With Golett closing in on Axew, Iris made a dramatic cry, calling out her pokemon's name. Suddenly, in a burst of determination, Axew unleashed his newfound power, a bright red aura surrounding it. With incredible strength, Axew hurled Golett into the air.

As Golett soared skyward, Axew pounced, launching a relentless barrage of punches and powerful kicks. One particularly strong kick sent Golett crashing against the arena's border wall, rendering him unable to battle. The judge declared Iris the winner, and the crowd erupted into cheers.

Iris rushed to her victorious Axew, congratulating him on learning the powerful move Outrage. As Axew began to rest, the stadium buzzed with anticipation for the final round, where Iris would face off against Ash in an epic showdown.

"Epic showdown? I will obliterate her," Ash scoffed, glaring down at the battlefield.

"You must really not like her," Luke commented, after he had snatched his camera back from a pouting Bianca.

"We have history," Ash admitted. "But what I cannot handle about her, is her inability to differentiate between true power and brute force. All her battles had no finesse or strategy, just depending on the dragon's superior strength."

"That is not true, her cute Emolga's battle had a strategy going for her," Bianca cut in. "Though, her Emolga was not as cute as mine."

"I think what Ash meant is that all of Iris' battles with dragons depend on their raw power," Cilan corrected. "Which is true. I can see that Iris is good with dragons, she can understand them… but being good with pokemon and being a good trainer are different things."

Cilan's eyes widened in realization, before rapidly turning to Ash. His friend stiffened underneath Cilan's gaze, as if Ash had been caught with his hand on the cookie jar by his mom. Cilan's gaze softened in understanding. Finally realizing why Ash was so hard on Iris. It was not because of his grudge or true dislike against her. Iris simply reminded Ash of the naive boy he used to be. A boy who was incredibly good with pokemon, understanding them and capable of becoming friends with any of them… but who had no idea of how to train correctly.

Iris was just like that. She understood dragons, could read their hearts. But was unable to earn their respect or train them as they deserve to reach their full potential. Which made Ash angry, because it caused him embarrassment. He was embarrassed of how he used to be.

"I will repeat what I told you yesterday, little prince," Cilan finally spoke up. "Do not be too hard on her, especially for that kind of reasoning. You will regret it afterwards."

Ash looked away, but still nodded. He did not say anything else and stood up to go and get ready for the finals.

Ash with determination in his eyes, took out his Poke Ball and threw it into the air. "Alright, Ladon, it's time to give it everything we've got!"

"Excadrill, let's give it our all too! Show them what we're made of!" Iris smirked confidently.

The stadium seemed to hold its breath as Ladon and Excadrill took their positions, ready for battle. Ladon moved with grace and power, his eyes locked onto Excadrill with unwavering focus. Excadrill, stood firm, radiated an aura of confidence as he prepared for their clash.

"Ladon, let's start strong with Dig!" Ash commanded and the battle began with Ladon's roar, a primal declaration of intent. His immense form launched forward with astonishing speed, closing the gap between him and Excadrill within moments. The ground trembled as he unleashed his fearsome Dig attack, disappearing into the earth.

With a deafening crash, Ladon burst forth from beneath the ground like a mighty dragon emerging from the depths. His jaws clamped down on Excadrill, who had tried to evade but found herself ensnared.

"Hang on, Excadrill!" Iris gritted her teeth.

Excadrill was determined not to falter. Despite the tremendous pressure from Ladon's jaws, he summoned his inner strength and launched a powerful Drill Run attack. The arena echoed with the sound of clashing forces as Excadrill's drill collided with Ladon's immense power.

The battle raged on, with Ladon showcasing his diverse move set and Excadrill responding with equal ferocity. Dragon Claw clashed with Drill Run, and Dragon Tail countered Metal Claw. The ground quaked beneath them as Earthquake met with Sandstorm, creating a chaotic maelstrom of power.

But as the battle wore on, it became clear that Ash and Ladon had the upper hand, even when they were holding back as requested by Cilan. Despite Excadrill's valiant efforts, he began to show signs of exhaustion.

The decisive moment arrived when Ladon unleashed his powerful Outrage attack, a relentless flurry of dragon-infused blows that left no room for Excadrill to counter. With a final, earth-shaking collision, Ladon's Outrage overcame Excadrill's resistance.

"Ladon, finish it with Dragon Claw!" Ash shouted with elation.

With a mighty roar, Ladon struck a finishing blow with Dragon Claw, and Excadrill was sent reeling, unable to battle any longer. The Referee held up his flag and announced, making the whole stadium erupt in cheers: "Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of the Pokemon Club Battle Tournament is Ash Ketchum!"

Which lead to Ash standing on the winner's podium, a wide grin on his face, as Astrape, Agni, Nephertite, and Ladon gathered around him. The display case of wings, a symbol of his victory, glistened in the sunlight.

"We did it, guys! We won!" Ash hugged his team, overwhelmed with joy. The pokemon cheered and roared, sharing in their Trainer's jubilation. It was a well-deserved victory that showcased their growth and determination.
