Itachi's hand is in Sakura's waist. His dark-eyes stared at his surroundings. "What do you think?" Itachi asked Sakura.
"I think, I will be happy here with you." Sakura whole-heartedly replied. The smile that graced her lips made his heart flutter.
Itachi decided to buy a house outside the Uchiha compound when Sakura announced that she's pregnant again. It wasn't an easy process; he doesn't want to leave his brother in the big house but Sasuke assured him that he will be fine and only think of his family for the moment.
"I'll be fine, nii-san." Sasuke assured him. "You're just leaving the compound. It's not as if you're passing your responsibilities to me." Itachi smirked at his brother's words. "Just take care of your family first. I want to be an uncle so that I can spoil your child rotten, make him or her attached to me, then I am going to poke their head and say, some other time." Sasuke's eyes are swimming with mirth as he teased his brother.
"Hey, that poke means I care." Itachi defended himself. "But I guess, I always make you wait."
"I know, Itachi." Sasuke said. "Just take care of her, okay? Coz, if not the whole team 7 will be after you. I just managed to hold them back when she left, I don't know if I can do that again."
Itachi smiled at the protectiveness that his wife's team has for her. "You don't have to tell me, brother."
Itachi wants to avoid all conflict and anything that will make his wife uncomfortable. He lost a child once; it will not happen again. Not in his watch.
Though the clan is changing to embrace new ideologies, there are still some who is set on their ways, and he knows that he can't force them to change. But there are some that still doesn't accept Sakura in their fold. Although the kunoichi learned how to ignore them, he wants to protect her and their unborn child.
Itachi kneeled in front of Sakura, her bump is noticeable now. He kissed the bump and promised, "No one will ever hurt you. I will always take care of you and your mom."
Sakura smiled at the scene in front of her. At first, she was afraid when she learned that she's expecting again. The wound left by her first pregnancy left a deep gash within her, although she learned how to live with the pain, she will never forget of her lost baby. But when she told Itachi about it, he immediately thought of ways to protect her. Her heart fluttered at the man who fought for her. She left him once but his devotion didn't waver. Who would have thought that the stoic Uchiha heir will be this affectionate?
She patted her husband head, his long hair tied in a low ponytail. " Aishitemasu, Itachi."
Itachi smile at her. " Aishitemasu, Sakura."
Looking at her husband's eyes, she knows that no matter what life throws at them, they will find a way to conquer it. Their love is stronger than any obstacle.
