This is my first-holiday fic. We never go into Boxman parents. So, here we go.
It is the first Cobmas since Prof. Venomous and Fink moved back into Boxmore. They decided to invite KO, Carol, and Gar over to spend the holiday with them. They were gathered in the living room, where Boxman called them to pick who they will get a gift for and from. "Okay, everyone, it is time for Gifting Roulette!" he said before pressing a button on his remote control and a three-row slot machine a rosed from a panel from the floor.
The robots screamed in joy. Shannon started punching the air and accidentally hit PV in the face. "Soaree, Professor! Got excited," she said.
"Well, I already got my present for the year at that moment," Carol said before letting a laugh and taking a sip of her hot cocoa.
"You okay, Boss?" Fink said before handing him an ice pack for his new black eye.
"I'm fine. Not the first time I got a black eye from a woman," he said before applying the ice to the swollen eye.
"And not the last time either," Gar chuckled.
"Why? Are you gonna hit me next?"
Darrell and the other robots snickered. Gar let out a growl. He and Venomous began to sneer at each other. KO stepped in between them. "Can you two get along for the holiday? Please?" he asked gently.
They both sighed. "Okay, KO," they said together.
Boxman cleared his throat. "Can we please start the roulette?" he said in an annoyed voice before his phone went off. "Hold on," he said before answering. "You got the Boxman," he said with a smile, a second later becoming a frown. "Oh, I see. Uh-huh, yes. Okay, I understand. Goodbye," he said before hanging up. "Okay, the roulette is off. We have two more guests coming tomorrow and it will be weird for them not to know what's going on," he explained before pressing the button and machine back into the floor.
Everyone looked confused. Prof. Venomous went over to Ernesto. "Is part of the traditions?"
The purple shook his head. "Nope," he said before walking over to his father. "Papa, is there something wrong? You have never canceled the roulette before."
Boxman took a deep breath. "My parents are coming to celebrate."
Raymond spat the oil he was drinking. "Our grandparents? We have never met them before?"
The organics looked at each other with more confusion. "You've never met your grandparents before?" Gar asked.
The robot children shook their heads.
"I was trying to protect them," Boxman said without looking back at them. "My parents are rich civilians who believe that family is blood and blood alone. I haven't spoken to them in decades. I left home when I was about 18 and I made a name for myself without their money. They know about my children, but not that I'm dating you, Ven," he said to his boyfriend. Venomous started to look crestfallen. "I'm not ashamed of you, I'm ashamed of them," he said looking away. Venomous then tried to give him a hug but he rebuffed. "I need some time to be alone," he said before leaving the room.
"I will go talk to him," Venomous said before following his boyfriend.
