Chapter 72
Mean while back in at NRC the morning after the attack despite being a Saturday morning the school was completely quiet. All extracurricular activities were canceled as was all of Monday's classes.
Since Diasomnia was untouched Silver decided he would took on the responsibility of taking on the horses at the stables. He had convinced Sebek he could manage by himself.
Sebek had been conflicted, he wanted to help but wanted to stay by Malleus's side.
Once Silver was done he decided to check on Odette. He was shocked by the condition of the Ramshackle dorm.
'She surely couldn't have slept here last night.' Silver thought as he jogged up to the open gaping hole in the lounge. "Odette! Odette are you here?!" Silver called out.
'Such destruction, was this really necessary.' He wonder was glanced around the lounge.
"She left yesterday." Harold the tall thin ghost said as he appeared in front of Silver.
"Left? To where?" Silver asked.
"She didn't say. She ran in real quick to say she would be back soon as she grabbed her jacket then left with the lilac haired boy who was living here for the last month." Gerald the short rounder ghost said as he appeared next to Harold.
"Lilac hair? Epel?" Silver asked.
"Yes that's him." Harold said nodding his head.
"She sure was in a rush. I hope she comes back soon, this place was so much better with her and the others here." Harold sighed.
"Thanks." Silver said as he left. 'Epel and her? So maybe she's at the Pomefiore dorm.' Silver thought as he made his way to the hall of mirrors. Instead of going through his normal mirror he went through the pretty mirror of Pomefiore.
'It's so different.' He thought as he looked up at the beautiful and bright castle. He flagged down a student who was jogging out of the castle.
"Excuse me."Silver called out catching the attention of the Pomefiore student.
"I can't talk long, we're still reeling from yesterday." The student said waving back but not stopping but slowly down.
"I was looking for Odette Thropp, I was told she was last seen Epel Felmir." Silver said following the student.
"Well whoever told you that you need to tell them to go talk to Professor Trein because no one has seen him or Rook since last night. I'm going to tell Professor Trein that right now." The student informed him.
"Rook Hunt is gone too?" Silver gasped.
"Yeah just when we need him the most." The student muttered.
Silver followed the student to the headmage's office where Trein was.
"A Pomefiore student causing trouble on this level? Unheard of!" Crewel said. He had stayed to help Trein.
Trein just gave him a side eyed before replying to Silver and the other student. "Thank you for informing me about this. Please go back to your dorms."
"Yes sir." The student said and left.
"Professor Trein, I regret to inform you that the Ramshackle ghosts have said Odette Thropp has gone off with Rook Hunt and Epel Felmir." Silver sighed.
"Her too! Unbelievable." Crewel snapped throwing his hands up.
"Thank you Silver. We'll deal with this the best we can. Please return to your dorm." Trein sighed shaking his head.
"Yes sir." Silver said and left as well.
He returned to his dorm and was greeted by his father. "What's wrong Silver? You look more tired than usually."
"I went to check on Odette and I've discovered the Ramshackle dorm is wrecked. If it was barely inhabitable before it's completely unlivable now." Silver sighed as he sat down in one of the chairs in the lounge.
"Oh poor Odette. Well luckily we have spare rooms here. Where is she?" Lilia asked play looking around to see if she was with him. 'I didn't except this from him.' Lilia thought as he placed a hand on his shoulder.
"I've been informed she's left the campus. It seems she has gone off with Epel and Rook. I don't understand." Silver said.
"What don't you understand?" Lilia asked tilting his head to the side.
"Where did she go with them? They couldn't have possibility gone to try and find the Island of Woe. What is she, they thinking?" Silver asked shaking his head.
"Oh Silver, as long as I've been around I still don't completely understand humankind's actions. All can I say is she's never been the type to sit around." Lilia sighed as he patted Silver's head. 'After all she's done this seems mild.' Lilia thought.
"I hope she's not in over her head." Silver said as he looked up at his father.
"I hope so too." Lilia said smiling down at his son. 'I'm glad he's still such a sweet boy.' Lilia thought. "How about we get you some tea?" Lilia offered as he floated off to the kitchen.
"Thank you Father, but I can handle it myself." Silver said as he bolted up and quickly overtook Lilia and headed to the kitchen.
Lilia just chuckled as he watched him go. 'I hope she returns in one piece for everyone's sake.' Lilia thought as he looked up at the ceiling above him.
