Sup guys? Lighting Wolf here, back with another story, this one about Halo. Enjoy the 2300-word chapter. I do not own Halo and such, 343, and a few others do.
23-year-old Tul Juran continued to spar with the rangers aboard Shadow of Intent… Despite their height? She dispatched 3 in hand to hand, finishing by kicking the last to the ground.
Rtas chuckled at this as the Scion spun and bowed to the Shipmaster.
"She is strong…" The Sangheili behind her hissed before gripping their energy sword and going to stab her.
Tul paused the attack with a glowing pocket of her energy lance before flicking the warrior's blade away with one stroke.
"Defeat is not dishonorable… Your strike is." Rtas stated with a shake of his head. "Tul? Arbiter awaits us aboard Seeker of Truth, come." Rtas stated as Tul nodded.
They left the sparring arena with Tul clicking her mandibles, pausing at the end of the hallway.
"Seeker was Arbiter's flagship during the war, correct?" Tul nodded as the Shipmaster nodded. "Hmm… The Swords have grown strong without the Covenant." Tul stated, snapping her mandibles closed in anger at the last word in the sentence.
Rtas chuckled. Tul was young enough to be infantry within the Covenant ranks yet she behaved like a zealot would have.
"Not strong enough to resist the AI," Rtas stated, his tone low as he thought of the battles at Sanghelios.
Rtas seemed to sigh as Tul paused, tapping her lance against the ground as the young woman looked at the Sword officer.
"The crew is aware of Arbiter's plan," Tul stated with a gesture behind her. "They will follow if you ask them to… But I sense you will." Tul stated.
"Shipmaster, Slipspace signature 300 meters ahead." They heard before said signature appeared.
The profile of a CCS-Class Battlecruiser punched out from the void, gliding towards the two carriers like a shark prowling the reef.
"The fleet is almost gathered… But Cortana will notice it soon." Rtas stated before Tul hummed, cracking her jaws together before she seemed to look to the side.
Tul sighed to herself as she spun her lance in her hand before she looked to the side, her amber eyes blazed with energy. She wanted to fight and Tul knew damn well that there was a fight coming up.
Rtas seemed to think of what was going on before he relaxed to himself. She seemed to be thinking of something that Rtas was different.
Tul hummed before she looked to the side and then Rtas seemed to think of her next movement as she clicked her fingers and then looked to the side.
Rtas seemed to look now. He was amused and knew Tul would end up meeting the Arbiter sooner or later for the second time in her life.
Perhaps it would be amusing to him before she looked to the side and then she realized how Arbiter was attempting this plan. It was all too much for most but to Tul? It was the start of a new adventure now and for good.
Perhaps it was better… She thought more and more now, something which she needed to be thinking of her next move…. She seemed to think of it all for now.
Tul held her stave in her hand before she thought of her next move she sighed and then looked to the side.
(Aboard the Harbinger of Vigilance)
The shipmaster took a deep breath before he looked to the side. The shipmaster cracked his fingers, making certain his sword was on his hip.
He was angry, very angry now at the time as he tried to compose himself before he thought of his next move.
The CCS-Class Battlecruiser coasted through space with the remains of the Sword's fleet, all too interested in it all before he relaxed.
He seemed to be thinking of his next move before he tired himself. All of it seemed to be thinking of what was growing for now as he wished to be thinking of it when it was all said.
He clicked his fingers before he waited for a phantom to be prepared for combat. They saw at least a dozen combat ships and most of the fleet was prepared for now.
The phantom swiveled and then thought of it when it was all said and done. He waited, preparing himself to combat the Banished, the massive mercenary empire was beginning to think of conquering the galaxy.
He seemed to be thinking of it all was growing on his mind. All of it seemed to be thinking of it when it was being done and dusted.
He was joined by several other Sangheili, all clad in full armor and weapons. The rest of them all looked at them.
"Are we prepared to travel to Truth?" He questioned which was given a nod.
"Correct, shipmaster… The fleet will be departing soon, the Created do not know of this meeting point." He heard.
He snorted but said nothing as he looked to the side. He seemed to be thinking of his next move before he thought of his next move.
He sighed to himself before he knew what was growing on his mind, rubbing as his next thought was to meet with the Arbiter as the rest of the shipmasters were to meet with the Arbiter to confirm the plan.
Why? Simple, they did not trust talking over the communications systems for fear of the AIs learning of it and then sending a Guardian to strike them all down.
He sighed, prepared to himself as he looked to the side. They were too thrown off before he sighed to himself.
They were able to think of what was growing on his next move before he sighed before he broke inside in a thousand different ways now and for good reason. He had to be thinking of it all seemed to crash down onto the ground.
(Aboard Shadow of Intent)
Tul was silent, she did not want to think of what was growing for now as he thought of it. She wished to be thinking of it all.
She was all too thrown off before she looked to the side and then hummed, smirking to herself as she twirled her blade, balancing the weapon across her back.
Tul hummed, thinking of it to the end of the day. Something was all too easily thrown off at the end of the moment.
She boarded the Phantom with interest, interested only in such an issue as trying to think of it all when it was all said and done.
Something about it all came crashing down now and for good reason, she thought of it all the way. She looked to the side as the doors closed behind her.
Rtas boarded the craft while she thought of it. All the ideas on her mind raced as the woman seemed to reflect on it all.
"The Arbiter wishes for total war with the Created?" Tul asked, her amber eyes closed halfway as she rested against the hull of the dropship.
She did not know what to tell her shipmaster, not once considering that they had issues on their mind that had yet to be addressed.
Tul hummed as the phantom left the hanger, flying through the void of space. Tul looked over at the CCS-Class Battlecruiser which passed by, dwarfed by the Shadow and Arbiter's flagship.
All of them were different soldiers, Arbiter wanted a giant collection of soldiers from different clans and houses, he had united most of their species, and now? Now he was the massive leader of most of their species.
Perhaps that was better but they were also left without support as most of the enemy had taken to trying to figure out something to cripple Arbiter's army… And failed, failed mainly because it was not so easy to do so.
Yes, it became harder and harder for Tul to be an issue as well, thinking of them like it was an odd problem for now.
Tul sighed and then closed her eyes, thinking of it differently, not once issued.
She hummed to herself as she wanted to try and think of it was all said and done. She rested her weapon gracefully across the small of her back, pushing herself to her full height as she smiled to herself.
Tul hummed to herself once more, clacking her mandibles together as she thought of it differently. Tul sighed to herself before she looked to her shipmaster.
She wished to think of it all when it came down to it. Tul was an odd soldier but she was a very skilled one, the years she had served the Swords of Sanghelios had been interesting to her and all of them… Yes, it seemed as if he had been able to think of it all properly.
She had not been able to properly think of it all now and for good reason. Something about it ALL came crashing down as now before he looked to the side as she looked downwards at the time being.
Tul felt the gravity seemed to be thinking of it all when it was all said and done… She had been too tired at the time being as she had been able to think of it all when it was all said and done now and for good reason.
She hummed, watching as the phantom settled into Seeker's hanger. She paused and took a deep breath, tired and unable to do more than relax, preparing herself mentally for the next phase of the operation.
She did not want to think of it all now as she followed the crew inside the ship before she looked to the side. Tul hummed as she watched another phantom enter the hangar.
She watched as an elite, younger than every single warrior seemed to be. She looked over at the rest of the warriors around him, all of them were taller, and stronger.
He looked unsure, he thought of something, clacking his mandibles before he looked at her, orange eyes full of interest.
"Fleetmaster." The smaller Sangheili stated, clasping a hand to his chest.
"That was a long time ago, Shipmaster," Rtas said, returning the gesture.
"Not to those who no longer are here." The smaller Sangheili stated, leveling his gaze at the floor.
Rtas was silent, remembering the 3 battlecruisers they had lost over the Ark… He had never lost count of those lives now.
Tul hummed as the younger Sangheili looked at her, his eyes did not hold the questioning judgment of more traditional Sangheili.
"You must be the warrior the Fleetmaster gathered from Rahnelo… I am sorry for what happened to your house." He stated, his mandibles clacking oddly.
"We endure," Tul stated as she looked at Rtas. "Shipmaster, he expects us all soon, we must not keep the Arbiter waiting," Tul stated to herself before she looked to the side.
Tul cleared her throat as the Shipmaster looked at her and then Rtas.
"I agree, he demanded all of his captains speak to him now, we are to not waste time." The Shipmaster stated, humming to himself before she thought of herself when it came to it.
He sighed, his chest rising as Rtas led the small group towards the meeting room, the Shipmaster looked at her, clacking her mandibles as she thought of herself.
Tul noticed him glance at her blade before she looked to the side, snapping her jaws.
"I have not seen an energy lance since the war." The Shipmaster stated, nodding to himself.
"It was in my family for years," Tul said as he tilted his head.
"Hmm." He said, nodding with approval. "Fleet… Shipmaster, the enemy is as bad as you have mentioned?" They asked to which the elite in question simply shook his head.
He did not at all know what to say, they had a LOT more to think of, so much to deal with now at the time being… All of it was harder and harder.
Tul seemed to be thinking of it all when it was all being done and she thought of it was growing odder.
They passed through what seemed to be the nature preserve of the Seeker. She looked as the Shipmaster looked across it before a familiar tone came in.
"Old friend…. It is good to see you, all of you." He heard as they watched.
The Arbiter seemed to walk towards them. He sighed to himself before he tapped on his arm, the armor clanking as Rtas stepped forward.
"Arbiter," Rtas stated as Thel hummed.
The two clasped arms, looking like they had known each other for centuries. The young shipmaster looked at Tul as they exchanged looks, clearing his throat as more Sangheili began to enter the large and vibrant chamber.
The squawks of dozens of vibrant alien species made him curious as to WHAT was kept here. Though, the young shipmaster had been all eager, thinking of it all when he had been able to think of what was growing on his mind.
The young shipmaster seemed to click his mandibles against each other, all too interested in what to do for now. He looked at Tul with interest as he paused to try and figure it out once more.
He wished it to be done and dusted. They had a LOT more on their mind now than before and he… Did not know what would occur if they did not appear ready.
Tul hummed to herself as both Sangheili guessed what Arbiter would do, he had been able to think of it all when he crashed to the ground.
Tul hummed to herself, watching as she paused to look at him, looking at him as both waited.
"I do not believe we will be discussing the terms of the campaign anytime soon." The shipmaster stated before he clacked his mandibles.
