Hello everyone! Aduubo here. I'm sure this has been a long time coming for the past couple months. So let's get right into it. I'll be pulling up questions that the general audience has probably asked as a basis on what to say.
Where have you been?
I've basically been busy having a crazy ass tango with life. A full time job I had has been really taking up my time along with other stuff happening in my personal life. It's all the same old, same old. But, I'm planning to get things back into gear. Not only with HLK, but with my youtube channel as well! Comic Dubs, Yui Gaming videos, and streams! What's the future of HLK looking like?
To answer that, I've been meaning to come forward with an announcement. At the time of Chapter 45's publishing, I had disbanded the HLK writing team. I will be taking over as the main writer of the story from now on. The reason I did so was because I felt that the project would be better off with less cooks in the kitchen. The project was starting to stagnate as time went on, and I felt that this was the best solution. I am really grateful for the work that Bucki and PK have done over the years and wish them all the best. Now that HLK has a fresh new direction to take, I'm confident that things will get rolling again.
But there is one thing to note; now that it's just me writing, it may take longer for the chapters to come out. Though, that may not be guaranteed. It all really depends on what cards life deals to me. I do think that I will be able to manage since I still have a circle I can count on when it comes to knowing MHA and KLK's essential lore. That's usually the part where I need to discuss with other people. Writing themes and scenes however, I pretty much can get that nailed down when I'm in the mood.
Rest assured however, content for HLK will keep coming no matter what; chapters, audio fics, and especially comic dubs.
What's going on with the HLK comic dubs?
The comic dubs were starting off strong, with some pages and chapter scripts already being made. But over time, it started slowing down as I realized I couldn't manage everything all by myself. So I started scouting out other artists to widen my circle of friends. I've met some really cool people and it's made me confident that this can work. There are a few things I need to take care of before I can get things rolling again however. So I can't give an estimated date of when the comic dubs are happening, but I can say that they will be getting picked up again.
There are actually a few videos I'd like to upload to YT involving our favorite characters, Izuku and Ryuko, before we get back on track!
