Fall writing prompt #7: Write about the change in season.
Janner Wingfeather sat outside, in the tree that sat right outside his window, watching as the orange leaves fell off its branches. At this time he would normally be in the library, organizing new shipments of books from Skree, but he didn't care.
He watched as one orange-red leaf barely held on to the tree branch, then with a light gust of wind, it fell to the ground.
Janner smiled as he admired the Maker's creation.
Now, Kalmar sat outside, sketching the forest that lie just west of the castle. The scratch of a quill was heard throughout the castle courtyard, and all the royal servants knew their king was in his artistic-mode.
Kal put his quill down and took of his wool scarf. It was late winter, and snow was starting to melt, which meant that the temperature was a little warm.
A servant looked over at Kal, who was taking his coat off, and chuckled.
Leeli rode her houndrick around Anniera, and took a deep breath. The air was sweet with summer, as trees began budding and blossoming with new blooms and flowers. Leeli loved this time of year, as so many dogs would give birth to new litters of puppies. She felt that this was the time of New Life, when animals from all over would give birth to their young ones.
Leeli loved Spring and nobody could change her mind.
