Chapter One:

Ever since 'Superpowers' began to appear 300 years ago, very few people can claim to be the owner of something from before the Dawn of Quirks, as the 'Superpowers' had become more commonly known as. One family of people who could legitimately claim to own something from the era before the Dawn of Quirks was the Midoriya family, who had an item that was equal parts super advanced technology and mystical item of legends in their possession, which was labeled as SG-i01. Waiting for the right time and wielder to use it. Little did the members of the Midoriya family know at the time of guarding the item that the item's rightful owner and wielder would be a descendant of theirs. One born into a world of Superpowers without any powers of their own. Uta Midoriya, the first Midoriya in a century to be born without a Quirk.

Not that Uta's lack of a Quirk would really mean much as unlike her predecessors and their trusted friends, when she went through something on her twelfth birthday that could be considered a family tradition of the Midoriya family, which consisted of placing one's hand on the box that the item that the Midoriya family had been keeping safe and testing one's 'compatibility' with the item, Uta's results showed that she was 100% compatible with the item, which revealed itself to be a necklace of some kind that was accompanied with a piece of paper with some writing on it. 'Various Shul Shagana tron' was what was written on the paper, something that seemed like complete nonsense to most people, but something that for some reason struck a chord with Uta. Almost like a prayer for the strength to stand tall and fight against otherwise overwhelming odds. The ancient necklace was seldom far away from either Uta's neck or wrist ever since the day the box it was stored in was opened.

Throughout Uta's life since that day, she occasionally felt the urge to sing on various occasions. Most notably during times of danger, be it from a battle between a Pro Hero and a Villain in the distance or from a more direct and personal source. The boy who had been something like a brother to her turned into the main bully in school. Katsuki Bakugou. The urge never got too strong for Uta to ignore however, as there was simply something that told her that it wasn't the right time. A time that wouldn't arrive until the day when her life would take a dramatic turn. The day of the Entrance Exam into U.A-High School's Hero Course.
