Hello,just a quick thing before I start the chapter. Before I forget,whoever finds all the references will get a shout-out next chapter,in both chapters.Also,another game for you all,you have to find all the underlined letters in the story to make a sentence,first three to figure it out will get a shoutout,and if you have any stories then I'll tell everyone to read them/it.
Chapter 2:A new puppet for Satan.
The poster had a creature that looked like a demon from one of those old cartoons,it had dark brown fur that almost looked black,grey horns curving backwards,and it had grey hands.It said that the casino it was advertising was open 24/7 except on Sundays,it gave Luigi the same unholy aura he had in the forest.He looked up at Daisy,"What am I supposed to do with this?,"asked Luigi, wondering why Daisy gave him a advert for a casino,and why it said 1930 on it."I don't know,just thought you might want to do a Collab or something like that with them,"she replied,confusing Yoshi,and made Luigi give her a stare,which she saw and knew she messed up."Why would Mama Luigi Collab with a casino?He doesn't even gamble in the first place!,"Yoshi stated,then Bowser,who had been waiting for Mario and Peach yelled,"But he owns one!,"Luigi gave him his famous death stare,which Bowser reacted to by running out of the house.
"That's why the house smelled like burnt chicken nuggets," Daisy commented,not realizing what Bowser said,but Yoshi did,and he didn't like that,"Is this true,Mama Luigi?,"Yoshi asked,hoping the answer was no,but he was wrong,"Yeah, it's true,but I wouldn't go too far though!Like gambling all my life savings away,or getting drunk!,"he reassured Yoshi that he would never be like his parents,not after the scars they gave him.
Yoshi's parents weren't so great,heck they were basically the worst parents that every child didn't want.They would always gamble all their life savings,drink alcohol and force Yoshi to drink some,even if he didn't want to because he was only six years old.But that wasn't the worst they would do,they were much more sinister.They never looked after him expecting him to take care of himself,they yelled at him,and even abused the poor kid for the simplest mistakes that everyone does.
They'd say that they only did it because they cared for him,and that he was only exaggerating things.But Yoshi knew that wasn't true at all,that they were the worst parents ever,that if he were to disappear,they wouldn't give a $#@t about him.That they would only act like they did,to fool everybody,and have another child,to make themselves look like the greatest parents in the universe,when they were the worst.
One day,he decided he had enough,and was going to leave them once and for all!That he was gonna tell everybody that they were fooling them,all of them,and that they abused him every day of his life,and that he was never going back to those rotten people,never again for eternity.All he had to do,was sneak out at night and run to somewhere far away,so that they would never know where he went.His plan succeeded,he was free from that horrid,miserable place for good.Know for the part he didn't plan out,where was he gonna go?He didn't have time to think about that because his"dad "had realized that he was gone,and was chasing after him.
He ran,fear controlling his body,and he ran so fast that his "dad"couldn't catch up,but he didn't know his "dad"was gone,and kept on running,until he reached the end of the island,he knew this would happen,and got into one of the boats on the dock,and rowed until he got to the Mushroom Kingdom.There,he met the Mario brothers, Princess Peach,Toad and Toadette and many other people.
Yoshi still didn't feel safe about the casino Luigi had,not even telling him about it. Maybe he didn't tell me because he thought that I would run away from home,like what I did to my parents.He gave him a tight hug, forgiving Luigi for not telling him that he owns a casino,and Luigi hugged back.Just then, Luigi's cell phone rang,it was Toadsworth."Luigi, The Princess has arranged the funeral for next week Tuesday"Toadsworth said with sadness in his voice.On the other side of the phone,he heard Bowser screaming like a little girl,and Peach was yelling at him.Luigi asked what was going on over there. "Huh? Oh yeah Peach is angry at Bowser so she's beating the f#@k outta him,"he answered,leaving Luigi confused. He asked why she was made with Bowser for. Apparently,he was gonna kidnap her, was saying that Mario was a fool and such and that he was not gonna stop him this time,like all the other times he said that. But Peach just completely lost it,and just pounced on him,teaching him a lesson to not call someone names when they're dead.He said he didn't know that Mario was dead,but Peach was not having that at all,and continued to beat him up.
Luigi hung up the phone,shocked at what he was told.He told Daisy when the funeral was,rubbing the back of Yoshi's head to comfort him and himself about the incident.He still couldn't wrap this "Mario being dead"thing around his head,let alone believe it wasn't a sick joke Mario was pulling,though the evidence showed that he was definitely dead.
Tuesday:Day of the funeral.
"But let us not mourn that he is gone.Let us celebrate the life he lived and that he would be in our hearts,"a toad dressed up like a priest finished his speech.Every body that knew Mario was there,Princess Peach,Luigi,Daisy,Yoshi,Toad,Toadette,Toadsworth,Buckenberry,Olive gold,even the residents from the Koopa kingdom and the galaxy were there.They were all huddled by his coffin,mourning the plumber thunderously around it.Except Luigi,he was deeply in thought,staring at his dead brother's coffin,trying to figure out a way to get his brother back,even if it was hopeless,he had to at least try right...Right?
It hit him like a mallet,what if he were to get someone to revive his brother! That's genius!But how would he do that though? And who would he find to help him?He would have to figure that out before he went head first into things,like his brother did before this accident happened.It started to rain,as all of the Mushroom World grieved the plumbers death more loudly then ever,as the Toads burried him in sorrow.
Luigi,Yoshi and Daisy walked home together.When they got there,Luigi asked Daisy if he could use her device."Sure,but what do you need it for?,"she asked,refusing to give it to him until she got an answer."Well,to revive Mario of course!,"he said it like it was the most obvious thing in the world,Daisy thought that he was joking and started laughing.Luigi gave her a confused look,then she realized he wasn't kidding."Oh, you're serious,"she started laughing awkwardly in embarrassment,"O-of course I-I knew you were serious,I was just joking around!Just thought a-a little bit of light play wouldn't hurt anybody!"
Luigi knew she was trying to hide her embarrassment,and she also knew he knew.He gave a side-eyed smile,"Could you please get me the Dimensional Traveller already?,"he continued on with the conversation,"Sure! Let me go get it quickly!,"she recovered from her little awkward moment and went inside to get the DT."You can come inside if you want to!,"she offered.Yoshi yawned loudly,Daisy heard and said they could stay the night."Sure,sounds like fun,"Luigi agreed,feeling a bit tired himself.
"Great! I'll get a mattress ready for the two of ya!,"she went to go get a mattress while the green duo waited on the couch for her.The TV was on "Chain-chomp cartoon comp"with the cartoon"SWAT CATS:The fight against evil" being shown."Now Star beam!Use your galactic powers to destroy Muttly the dalmatian"one of the Swat cats said on the TV"You got it,Milky way!Now take this you hotheaded Mutt!"another one said,using a snap of her fingers to summon a galaxy theme beam that shot at Muttly"Oh boy am I in for it now!"said a dalmatian that seemed to be Muttly with the beam headed right for him"Ruh-Roh!"he added as the beam hit him leaving a lot of smoke on the screen.After a second or two the smoke cleared,showing a knocked out Muttly and Milky way heroicly standing on his head.Yoshi was so into this,that he sat on the floor right Infront of the TV.Luigi watched as well,but he was on the couch.
"Good job squad!Now let's go on our flying motorcycles and ride off into the distance!"the SWAT CATS motorcycles came from nowhere and they hopped on them,riding into the sunset as the credits rolled.Daisy also had a Chain-chomp as a pet which acted like a dog.His named was Chainsaw.He barked excitedly when he saw two and hopped over to Yoshi.He kissed him like a dog on the cheek to show his affection"Wait! Chainsaw stop! It tickles!"Yoshi laughed,trying to get Chainsaw of him.Right after Chainsaw showed up,Daisy was walking with a cup of tea and a mug of hot chocolate.She gave the hot chocolate to Yoshi,the cup of tea she set down on the coffee table"For you,Luigi"she said,then went to another room and Chainsaw followed.
Luigi took the cup and sipped the tea.He thought the tea Daisy made was flavorsome and delightful. After he took a sip of the wonderful tea,he placed it back on the table and continued watching TV. Yoshi's mug was gigantic and filled to the brim with hot chocolate when he first got it,and it was already halfway done.Another cartoon was being shown,"Mr Chihuahua and Mrs Adonis"was the name of it.It was about a chihuahua chasing a butterfly,while the butterfly used sneaky ways to stop said chihuahua from trying to eat her,kinda like Tom and Jerry.
Daisy got a fully inflated inflatable mattress and brought it to the living room."Luigi!could you go get the blankets and pillows in my bedroom,please?,"she asked with her hands on her hips.Luigi did as she asked and went to her room.The pillows were on the floor right next to the door,and the blankets were on a wooden chair next to the pillows.
Her room was filled with video game references,books on bookshelves and some proto-types of the DT.But something shiny caught his eye,like some sort of gemstone.The moonlight from the window shone on it,making it glisten."Luigi!What's taking you so long?!,"Daisy asked impatiently.It turned out he was staring at the brilliant jewel for 10 minutes,"What?Oh,sorry!I'm coming,"he took the pillows and blankets and went to the living room,but before he went,he put the gemstone in his pocket,just in case.
Mario was pierced with a spear in his back.He fell to his knees,only feeling pain in his body as he fell to the ground,lives flashing before his eyes, everything became blurry and the last thing he saw was Toad,as he heard the chilling,evil laughter of King Dice.Then he couldn't feel the pain anymore,heck,he couldn't feel anything.He could only see Luigi,Toad and Yoshi in the distance,he wanted to say hi to them,but he noticed they looked...sad.He didn't understand why until Yoshi ran up to him,sobbing.He thought something bad happened to them,so he put his arms in the way you hug people and kneeled down.But,Yoshi didn't seem to notice him,and this made Mario confused.Until...he looked down.He saw his body,covered in blood beneath his feet.He realized that he was dead,this explained how he didn't feel anythin g,but he still was freaking out,like any normal person would when they realize they're dead.He saw the whole thing you saw in chapter one,and even his funeral.He thought that he was just going to roam the realm of the living for the rest of his ghost life,but he thought wrong.
The environment he was in,faded into a saloon type area,he didn't have a clue at this point,and Infront of him,he saw a man in a clock with a dog's tail sticking out"I always get people's souls when Michael and Lucifer don't know what to do with them,"said the man,when he turned around to look at Mario,he saw that the man was a wolf with beady,red eyes,wearing a clock with a hood on it with two sickles strapped to his belt and he had black bandages on his wrists and ankles.He was sitting at a bar drinking beer,"So this isn't new to me, take a seat,"He offered,sounding more like a command.As the anthropomorphic wolf said,Mario walk to the seat right next to him.The saloon was filled with many souls.Including a ginger cat wearing a black hat with a yellow feather in it, polished boots,a belt that went around his waist two times,a wedding ring and an axe right through his chest,a black and white cat with boots as well,a belt like the ginger cat but only going once around her waist,a wedding ring similar to the ginger cat, a gunhole through her arm which made Mario almost go over there and ask her if she was okay or not,but she seemed fine so he ignored it and kept on walking ,and a small dog that looked to be a small teacup mutt with a brown,black and white coating,a blue sock as a jersey ,and his face in not a good condition.
Mario walked right past them and sat right next to the wolf.The wolf passed Mario a glass mug filled to the brim with beer."No thank you,I don't want to damage my health,"he refused,making some people look at him like he did something only an idiot would do.Then the ginger cat in boots climbed up onto the table and yelled,"You can't damage you health WHEN YOU'RE DEAD!!!".This - of course - embarrassed Mario,he turned away from the crowd,his face redder than his clothes.The wolf saw this and calmly talked back at the cat like this happened often,"Like I said before,Puss, don't go after the newcomers when they've just arrived,"he asked politely. Oh,so that cat's name is Puss,noted. "Sorry 'bout that, they're just such easy targets!,"he was basically teasiing Mario at this point." Don't worry about he can be a little...rough with the newcomers,"the wolf said,he turned his head slightly with a deathstare at Puss,"And if he doesn't stop it well I'm gonna make him wish he wasn't in the inbetween," Puss saw this and gulped,his fur sticking out like a hedgehog's quills when they're scared.The cat with a gunhole through her shoulder who was sat next to him asked "Darling,are you alright?Your fur's sticking up,"Puss got off the table and went to a corner and replied with "Yep I am absolutely not afraid of anything whatsoever because I'm Puss in boots and puss in boots is not afraid of anything no-sir-re"he went on and on with a whole bunch of gibberish that Mario couldn't hear
The wolf gave a sigh,turned back around in his chair and chugged his whole mug of beer down ."So," said the wolf,breaking the awkward silence."Are you going to drink the beer or..."he continued,making the moment a little awkward."Well,I have no reason for why not,"Mario answered,he then grabbed the mug of beer and chugged it.
They chugged beer all through the night,sharing stories,playing games,all those things you would do with your friend group at midnight and you're both hanging out.
"What took you so long?!,"Daisy asked,when luigi finally got to the living room,"Oh, just looking at the moonlight and lost track of time I guess?,"Luigi decided not to tell Daisy about the gemstone,because he had a feeling she wouldn't and shouldn't know.Yoshi yawned and just plopped onto the mattress,he didn't let them put the pillows or the blankets on it.
Later on in the middle of the night,Luigi couldn't sleep.Yoshi was snoring noisily on top of him,but that wasn't quite the reason.For he was to busy thinking about the poster Daisy gave him.Why did it give him an unholy aura?Why was it the same one from the forest?Why did it give him an urge to go there?
So many questions he couldn't ask,because people would not answer him,for they would think he was either insane,or suicidal.But he couldn't find answers,and questions kept coming and coming.He thought there was no solution to his problem.He had a feeling that he might be refusing to let go of his brother,but he brushed that feeling off,and sat up.He had the advertisement in his pocket,the same one the gem was in.With no warning,the advertisement flew out of his pocket,a green glow emanating from it.Luigi was shocked when this happened - like anybody would - he felt a strange feeling when it fell it his hands,like this happened before.
He stared at the poster for a while,trying to figure out why,how and what happened.Why did the advertisement just fly out of his pocket,how did it fly out of his pocket and what made it fly out of his pocket.His pocket started to glow the exact same green the poster emanated when it flew.He immediately took the object out and put it under a couch cushion that fell when he saw it,so it didn't wake Yoshi up.It was the gorgeous gemstone that Luigi was staring at in Daisy's room.It then glowed even more brightly,shining through the cushion.He didn't want to wake Yoshi up,so he lifted Yoshi's head,put a pillow underneath it and booked it to the bathroom.
He put the gemstone and poster on the counter and closed the door as quietly and quickly as possibles.He then covered all the nooks and crannies with towels so the light of the gemstone didn't shine through and wake up Yoshi.He sighed a sigh of relief,putting his hand on the door.The gemstone shone,more brighter this time,which caught Luigi's attention.He turned around and walked to it, thinking 'bout how curiosity might get the best of him.The gemstone just suddenly started to glitch, and Luigi - being the coward he is - jumped up in the air and tried to hide under his cap,his behind in the air and shaking like a leaf.The gem glitched more,then a girl that seemed to look like an angel and a demon at the same time glitched onto the gem.She was looking all around for the one that activated her gem,then she saw Luigi on the floor,shaking like he was about to explode out of fear.She side-eyed at the look of him then she spoke in an angelic voice,"Why hello there,mortal,"Luigi looked up,he saw the dark angel on the gem speaking.He was dead quiet,because he didn't know if he should scream or introduce himself.But he stood up and he stuttered,"W-w-w-w-w-w-what?,"confused. Alright, I either ate to many mushrooms or this is a dream because there ain't no way a demon angel hybrid is talking to me through a gemstone.
"Don't worry,hurting is not one of my morals,"she rhymed,trying to get Luigi to trust her."Huh,what,how wha,HUH!?"he responded confused about the literal angel demon in the gemstone."It's quite rude to say huh,that is what I would say if I was a perfect wittle,angwel like Ange Parfait.Oh that girl makes me sick,always with the 'If you were more friendly then you could actually have better 'friends'' I have loads of friends!!!Including her crush for PETE'S SAKE! Even her BEST FRIEND AND SHE KNOWS THAT!!!'she ranted loudly,which we t against what Luigi wanted to do."I'm sorry,but could you be quieter,please?"he asked.She just gave that "'are you serious'"kinda look.
"Don't tell a half-demon to be quieter when they're ranting,only get ya' into trouble,"she warned,annoyed and so done with this mortal already."S-sorry ,I just don't want to w-wake the others at 1 in the morning with a huge r-ruckus,"he apologiticly stuttered nervously rubbing the back of his head."Yeah,yeah go right ahead,I know you're going to do it next time anyway,kid,"she was puffing out smoke from her nouse,scaring Luigi after he had just calmed down a little,which was unusual for him when he meets someone that looks and acts scary.And,why did she call him kid?Heck people say he looks older than he really is,like ridiculously old,like the one time someone said he was 35 or something like that.He was only 28 for GOODNESS SAKE!!!"Uh, I'm a-actually not a k-kid, I-I'm -"he was about to continue but he was interupted by the angel demon,"An adult because you're 28 years old in human years?Yeah,no that's not that old. I'm very much older than that,"she bragged, confusing Luigi in the process. "W-what do you m-mean by that?You look about 20 years old,"he asked,not ready to hear what she said."Yeah, I get that alot. That's because of the immortality and all,but I'm actually 133 centuries old, alot for you humans,but a little young for immortals like myself,"she said as Luigi's jaw just dropped in disbelief.But when he actually thought about it more,it actually made sense.
"Alright, enogh beating about the bush!So the reason why I'm talking to you, is because I'm here to help you revive your brother,"she casually stated out of the blue. "Yeah,yeah I know it sounds insane, and a very bad suggestion that you probably wouldn't do,"she said," If you didn't love your brother all that much,which you probably d o after all the things he has done to you,"she continued,making Luigi want to know what she was referring to."I'll do anything for Mario!,"Luigi exclaimed, knowing what she might suggest was maybe something that people who were selfish wouldn't do.It better be better than the plan I had before,or not be the plan I had before. "You have to make a deal with Satan himself, it's the only way to bring your brother back!" And it's the plan I had before,just great. Alright Luigi just pretend you had no idea what to do before,or say that that her plan was better than the old plan. "Wow,that is so much better than the plan I had before!" Please don't ask what it was!Please don't ask what it was!Please don't ask what it was! ,he panicked in his head,not showing it on the outside.
"Well duh!Did you really think I would suggest something worse to you?,"she said in vain,yet calming Luigi down. Oh thank goodness! "No,no, I just thought it'd be nice to compliment your plan,but it is true that it's way better than my plan!,"he was trying to think of a way to change the subject as he said that. "What is this plan that you say is so bad of yours anyway?,"she asked,of course - in the moment - she'd ask the question that Luigi dreaded. Oh great! " Well,I'd rather not say,it's too dumb,"he tried to by some time so that he could think of something. "Don't worry, I won't laugh that hard,"she tried to reassure him,but if he did have a plan and it was dumb,she would've missed by a kilometer. Luigi gave her a 'Are you serious?' face.
"What!? I'm just being honest! Don't you mortals like honesty?!"she replied to his silent answer.He just put his finger to his lips and pointed at the door with his thumb. She rolled her eyes at luigi,"Whatever, wet blanket," she added.An awkward silence filled the room for a moment or two.Luigi decided to be the one to break the it. "So,"he said,catching the demon angel hybrids attention." My name's Luigi.What's yours?,"he added, hoping that would change the subject." Soleil Nuageux,but my friends call me Sally for short,"she introduced."That's a very nice name!"Luigi complimented,still hoping that that changed the subject."Yours as well,"she replied.
It felt like 5 in the morning,but it was 8.
The morning sun rised and shone it's beautiful shine like a peacock showing his feathers.Toads were getting ready and some already leaving for work as morning yawns filled the fresh air of dawn.Luigi was sleeping in the living room again,snoring and sleeping on his stomach,while Yoshi was sitting in front of the tv on the floor.Mr Chihuahua and Mrs Adonis was being shown.Daisy was sitting on the couch,watching the television with Yoshi, also waiting for Luigi to wake up.
Once awake,Luigi rolled onto his back.He then gave out a loud yawn and stretched a big stretch, showing that he just woke up.He then got off the inflatable mattress and went to the bathroom sleepily to wash his face.He closed the door behind him and started to wash his face.Luigi looked up at the mirror in front of him,just to someone that looked like him but way tougher looking.This figure,by what Luigi could tell,was a demon.They wore an eyepatch on his right eye,and the other eye was a blueish-green colour,a snake's pupil was in it.Their hair was indeed very messy,it was so dark brown,it almost seemed black,and it faded to reddish-brown.They also wore a small bow tie and had a red clover symbol on his cheeks,with eyebags to go with it. The figures dark green,button-up shirt was unbuttoned at the top,you could also see their under shirt was an emerald green. The cuffs of their sleeves were teal,the one rolled up to their elbow and they had gloves that were a little grey,they had a few scratches here and there ,but not too many to be scared of.Luigi jumped back in shock,he landed on the ground as he felt his fear crawling on his back. Aw great,not another one. "What do you mean by 'not another one'!?!?"the mysterious figure sounded offended,like Luigi said something offensive.It also sounded like they heard him talk in his head.
"W-what? Who a-?"was all Luigi could say before he was interrupted. "Who am I? Well, I'm you from like a decade later,but I'd rather be called Luciano than Luigi,"was what this figure called Luciano said."By the way, I'm not gonna tell ya how to get ya brother back,because ya already know. But,if a person called King Dice kidnaps a child called Mugman and brings him to ya future boss,tell them to use the kid as bait for his brother and waste time on the last day Mugman and his brother's contract expire , ya won't be able to save both but cha' gotta save one I guess,"he continued,leaving Luigi so confused that all he could think to say was 'okay?'."Alrigh',now go tell ya son and girlfriend what cha' gonna do to bring back Mario, and ya forget cha' eva' saw me,'kay?"and with that,Luciano vanished out of the mirror, leaving Luigi as confused as a cat locked in a room full of rocking chairs.Luigi thought that it was just him seeing things.
He just brushed it off and went to dry his face.Daisy came iinto the bathroom with an apron on. "Yo!Luigi! What cha'want for breakfast?,"she asked with a smile on her face."Just eggs and bacon,please,"he replied, his face buried in the towel as he spoke."By the way,could you go into the living room when you're done,and tell Yoshi to stay there as well?I just need to tell you guys something,"he continued, lifting his face out of the towel so he could breath.
"Sure dearie!," she replied," Do you want coffee or tea with that?,"she continued."Tea please,"he answered with his face buried again.He then proceeded to do whatever you do in the bathroom when it's morning,except shower because he does that at night.
As soon as he got out the bathroom,they both were waiting for him on the couch with his breakfast on the coffee table. He sat on the couch next to Daisy and began eating his scrumptious breakfast.He told them the plan of how they were going to bring back Mario while he ate.They tried to persuade him out of doing it,but he insisted that it was the only way to bring back Mario."Forgive me for saying this but why do we have to bring back Mario?If you're worried that the Princess Peach will get kidnapped, then we'll just save her ourselves, can't we?"Daisy asked,but Luigi just continued with how Mario must be revived and that he'd be a better hero than he was.
Daisy knew it was useless to fight with him,so she just got up and went to go grab the DT to give it to him.
"And then I said: So long,Gay Bowser!",Mario said with all the in-betweeners sitting in a circle around him and laughing like hyenas.Puss laughed so hard that he accidentally banged his mug of milk on the table." That*Hic* Bowser dude *Hic* really got wh*Hic*at was coming for *Hic* him!"he said before he passed out on the table. Kitty Softpaws,Puss' wife, then took her husband into one of the hallways behind some classic saloon doors,like the ones you see in rodeo movie with the cowboys in.
The Side trio were already at this place called Inkwell Isles where the Devil's casino was located.Luigi he had a leather crossbody bag with some stuff he thought he might need if anything went were to go wrong in there,like he'd say something to upset him and got hurt he had a med-kit ,if he'd get trapped in a dungeon he would draw in his sketchbook to pass the time,if anybody else were there he could play card games, all that jazz. Yoshi only had his last giant berry in his mouth,and Daisy had the DT device in her hand and she had her purple back pack on with money and such.
The three of them looked nervous as they stood in front of the Devil's casino, especially Luigi as he was the only one going in."Well..I just this is it,"Luigi said in a very depressing tone."The maybe last time we'll see each other,ever,"he continued to make the atmosphere even more depressing.Yoshi swiftly hugged him as hard as he could and Luigi rubbed his head to comfort him.
"Please,don't forget me!,"the dinosaur pleaded for his adoptive father to not forget him.Luigi was surprised to hear this from Yoshi.He got on one knee to get to eye level with Yoshi,which changed from almost being the same size to only a head taller than a toad,and put his hand on the child's shoulder."Now,why do you think that I would forget you?", "Well, I thought that because you are an owner of a casino and now you're making a deal with the Devil at his casino that you would - ",the green dinosaur then bursted out crying.Luigi held him tight against his chest,stroking his head as he comforted him.
Once Yoshi calmed down he kissed him on the forehead,"I'll never forget a kid like you,ever!",he held Yoshi's face as he said that.He then kissed him on the forehead again."And don't you forget that!"he commanded,Yoshi held Luigi's hand,"I won't!" "Good!Now, don't put himself down over things like that,alright?",Luigi commanded sternly,Yoshi nodded in agreement.
Luigi got up and rubbed Yoshi's head.He then took off his hat and put it on Yoshi,"To remember me by."
He proceeded to walk to the casino,but was interrupted by Daisy."Forgetting something?" Luigi then started to panic like he always did.Daisy then pulled Luigi by the collar of his shirt and kissed him right on the lips.Daisy pushed him back and wished him goodluck.
And he was definitely gonna need it...
As soon as Luigi walked in, he saw a medium sized fountain with all different plants around it from eucalyptus to roses to the famous Hollywood hibiscus,name any plant and it would've been there. Two
dolphin statues stood in the middle of it,both spitting out crystal blue water. The carpet was velvet with golden accents and patterns on it,Luigi even felt sorry for stepping on it with normal shoes. Lanterns glowing yellow and orange were hung on the ceiling,which was about a good sixty feet off the ground give or take.
Luigi was just admiring the casino,which looked like luxury compared to the old scruffy one he was working at,when a dice wearing a purple suit came up to him.
"Anything I can help you with,Luigi?",the dice asked.Luigi was kinda surprised he knew his name,but thought that the man knew him because of his brother,it was still a little uneasing to hear a stranger call his name without Mario around.
"Um...How do you k-know-?"the man interrupted and finished his sentence for him."Your name?Well basically everyone knows you here!Did you really think a sidekick is forgotten after the hero dies?",the man basically explained what Luigi was here for,but the green thunder thought it was a mere coincidence."Well,how coincidental that is!",Luigi stated,the dice stared at him like he was a talking gibberish.
"What is?",he asked.Half of Luigi thought the man was just pulling his leg,though the other half believed what he was saying."And before you ask where The Devil's office is I'll take you there.My name's King Dice and I can read your soul.C'mon, let's go!",King Dice started walking to where this office was.Though trying to take in what King Dice said,he didn't want to harass him with the pile of questions he had and followed him.
There were many tables with folks either sitting at them, walking around trying to find the manager,or being dragged away by purple,gigantic bodyguards that had..demon tails? Maybe they're cosplaying?
Luigi stopped to stare at a pair of them,almost losing the man in the crowd.Once Dice realized he stopped,he called him,"If you wanted to come here to see demons then stay there!",he spoke loudly,but not loud enough for it to be a shout.
Luigi caught up with him and they went into the next room.It was a hallway with ruby red walls and ceiling with a flowy pattern on it .The carpet was garnet with jaguar patterns and the wall trim was a reddish-brown.Various paintings hung on the walls,some were black and white with either a completely normal asthetic,or the complete opposite with peacock spider hybrids and all those eerie things .Those ones were the ones that scared Luigi the most.But one in particular that terrified him the most,which he regretted even glimpsing at it.
This painting was at the end of the hall,a very big portrait of the very same demon Luigi saw on the poster but really,really messed up and horrifying with hundreds of eyes and empty eye sockets with bloody running like tears out of each one.It looked like a spider,snake and bat was mashed up together into this monstrosity creature thing!The background of flames were moving - which would've terrified him if it was the only feature - but the feature of this portrait that was most terrifying?The fact that it stared at Luigi straight in his eyes and blinked!
Luigi thought he was hallucinating again and rubbed his eyes.The portrait was looking to the left again. But to Luigi's dismay,King Dice vanished,only a hole in the ground stood where he was.Full of terror,Luigi was frozen like a popsicle stick,staring at the hole until it vanished as well.
He glimpsed at the portrait again,the demon in the portrait was body was facing Luigi,he was the Chesire Cat with his grin so wide and fading before his eyes,bouncing menacingly to a tune that was playing in the background.Luigi was so filled with terror,that he couldn't scream at all,let alone think!
As soon as the unholy creature ' disappeared ',Luigi felt like someone was towering over him.He turned around slowly,only to be face to face with the same monster that was in the painting.."Hello,"it said,its voice sounded like multiple people speaking at once in a scary yet trying to sound welcoming tone but missing it by a long shot.
Luigi's colours faded into white within seconds,trying to scream but failing,only high pitched sounds came from his mouth.The creature bent over and whisper into Luigi's ear."I'd suggest you run,but I'm going to catch you anyway with your wee little stature,but I'll give you a 10 second head start,"it teased. Luigi didn't have to hear that twice!He was the flash with how fast he sprinted past the creature.
I now see why the Red and Lime made us do so many laps around the island
"1..2..3..4,"the creature counted.Luigi was was a good distance away from the creature,about 20 yards or so.When the creature suddenly counted faster,making Luigi panic and run even faster than he was running."5,6,7."Luigi was panicking even more,trying to go faster than he already was."8 9 10!"the creature began to fly with its bat wings,Luigi searched for something in his cross body bag to make him go faster.He pulled out a brown leaf that kinda resembled a tanooki,a Japanese raccoon.He shoved it back in to the bag.The next thing he grabbed instantly had him in a green cat costume with jaguar spots,darker green tips on the ears and tail and white patches on his belly and his paws.
Ah.Right,I forgot that was in there.Although it's very useful because of the momentum going fast.I don't wanna look like a furry.
The creature then threw a gigantic fire ball at Luigi,but he dodged it with great speed from the power up.The creature just kept the fire balls going,until Luigi met a dead end.He stopped dead in his tracks to not hit the wall. "Nowhere to run,nowhere to hide,Luigi!And I thought you were the green thunder,
not the green pussy cat!",the creature teased, menacingly laughing right after.
Luigi turned around to face the creature,it looked way more horrid than it did before it was chasing him.Luigi was trying to not let the instincts the cat suit gave him get the best of him,but they did and he sat like a cat waiting for its food,his tail swaying side to side.The creature stared at him with simple confusion.
The creature then grabbed a ball of yarn out of nowhere and threw it to cat Luigi's direction.He instantly started playing with the yarn,and continued doing so until the creature forgot the one thing to never do to a cat :Never touch it's belly.Cat Luigi immediately gave the creature a lot of bruises and scratches on its terrifying face as well as making a hiss and meow sound as he did so.
After he gave it what he thought the creature deserved,he ran to the other end of the hall,where he saw King Dice."First I can't find Boss,and now I can't find Luigi!Just great!"King Dice thought aloud to himself.
Maybe he knows how to get rid of this thing!
Luigi went full charge to get to King Dice,even though he was a good distance away from the creature, he didn't want to waste any time to get to maybe a safe area.The creature was still recovering from the scratches Luigi gave him.Luigi ran behind Dice,without him realizing,and got as low to the ground as he could.
Dice looked at him like the creature did,simple confusion.The realization struck him like lightning,he was literally sitting like a cat on its belly...Infront of two things that work at the very casino of the Devil.
He immediately stood up and started apologizing like his life depended on it,well there was a chance his life depended on it,but that chance was way too slim to happen...Right?
"I'm so sorry!I accidentally touched a certain bell that's a power up and I grabbed it when I was looking in my bag and if you touch it you a cat costume spawns on you,I don't know how it works but it just does and I'm so sorry I was acting like a cat!Please forgive me!"was the last apology he said before the creature caught up to him.
"HAH!I got you-!",the creature said,only now realizing King Dice was blocking the way.Luigi was standing behind King Dice,still terrified even though he literally attacked this very monstrosity only a couple minutes ago.
"Nowwwwww?,"the creature saw the face Dice was making,which it seemed it was afraid of.Somehow it was afraid of him,not the other way around!What confused Luigi was that a creature that could maybe scare the heck out of anyone,was frightened by a man with a Dice for a head.
"I've been looking for you everywhere in Hell!And here you are!In your...Whatever form you're in, petrifying this poor man!" Dice scolded the creature like a child,"I-",was the only thing it could say before Dice went back to scolding them."You're s'pposed to be in Hell,Lucifer!"Then they started fighting,like an old married couple.
In the Devil's office after the two stopped fighting.Luigi and the Devil were left alone together,with only a desk separating them,which was way bigger than Luigi."Are you sure you wanna sell your soul for your brother?",the Devil asked,now looking like the one Luigi saw in the advertisement."Well of course! He's my brother after all! I'd do anything for him!",Luigi exclaimed."But...Y'know what? You're not gonna lis'en to me anyway! Let's just cut to the chase.And can ya please get out o' that cat costume?",he then somehow grew smaller and walked towards Luigi swiftly.He pulled out a contract and quill out of nowhere - cartoon logic Luigi assumed - and gave the quill to him.
"Sign this contract and your soul is mine. You'll become a demon and will have to serve me,if you forge someone else's signature then your soul will be ripped out of your body and be eaten by an ancient god of the Inkwell Isles called Sorain.And in return your brother gets revived,got all that greenie?",he explained.Luigi answered with a polite "Yes" and proceeded to sign the contract,before he heard voices in his head.
They told him not to do it,that he should live his life and move on,that he deserved more than to be a slave of the Devil for the rest of his life...
But he didn't listen.
He finish signing it,and pain and agony filled his body.Like his soul was being burnt alive as flqmes danced around him like ballerinas at a musical play about swans.It only got worse,and his eyes turned from blue to red in a matter of seconds.Evil filled his body,he could feel it rushing through his veins.
He was no longer the lovable,clumsy and sweet Luigi anymore.He was a monster.
And he enjoyed it...
Finally!After 7 or 8 months I have finished!And it's 5k longer than the last one!Yahoo! Btw,I might've changed my mind on the whole asking characters questions thing. I'm also working on another fanfic about Mario,but there is a Sonic and cuphead one I'm doing but it might take a couple months because of procrastination.Ciao!
