The Sovereign Of The Sunrise Kingdom
Chapter 4: Morning Lessons
One day at the Sunrise Kingdom, Crown Prince Simba and Princess Amani are spending some time with each other at one of the locations of the kingdom which is the Tarangire Grove along with their best friends Nala who Simba is betrothed to, Tojo who Amani is betrothed to, Chumvi, Kula, Malka, and Tama, and while they spend some time with each other in the Tarangire Grove, the group of best friends admire the great beauty of the Tarangire Grove since it has so many impressive baobab trees and how it is inhabited by so many elephants besides many other animal inhabitants of the kingdom.
Also, Simba, Amani, Nala, Tojo, Chumvi, Kula, Malka, and Tama witness the many animal inhabitants who live in the Tarangire Grove are living together in peace and harmony such as a herd of elephants walking down the road together, a group of cheetahs taking good care on each other in the savannah, a troop of baboons eating some baobab fruit together in some of the baobab trees, a herd of impalas leaping throughout the savannah together, a group of banded mongooses going in and out of their burrows, and a flock of weavers take good care of their own nests in some of the acacia trees, much to their amazement.
"Wow! Isn't the Tarangire Grove is awesome, guys? Isn't it?" asked Simba.
"Yeah, it sure is, Simba, and it's the most beautiful place in the whole kingdom." said Tojo.
"Actually, this place is one of the most beautiful places in the Sunrise Kingdom, and that's what we've learned during scouting." said Amani.
"That's absolutely right, and we really need to remember that everything about the kingdom we all live in is very beautiful." said Nala.
"There are so many wonders around here besides this place such as the Serengeti Plains and that's where the Royal Kopje Of The Shining Sun is located." said Malka.
"There's the Ngorongoro Valley, and it has been named after a volcanic caldera that has been inactive for many years," said Chumvi.
"There's the Arusha Hills, and it has many refreshing lakes to drink and swim in besides having many hills to frolic and eat the grasses," said Tama.
"And there's the Biharamulo Forest, and it is covered in so many trees to climb on and it has the most rain when it's the rainy season." said Kula.
"The Sunrise Kingdom is a really amazing kingdom to live at, and besides learning about it from scouting, my and my sister's dad and mom told us the same thing." said Simba.
"Our parents, the king and queen, have always told us that about the kingdom, and they told you guys as well," said Amani.
Nala nodded her head in agreement. "Since the kingdom is filled with wonders just like your parents who are the sovereign and his consort as well as our own parents and the rest of the Sunrise Pride says, this is one of the best places to hang out together."
"Yeah, and we would come here to spend some time with each other sometimes and we all enjoy it so much." said Tojo.
"Speaking of hanging out together like we usually do, let's have some fun together in the Tarangire Grove. " said Tama.
"The day is still young, and we have plenty of time to do so and there's really no rush to do so at all." said Malka.
"Come on, guys." said Kula.
"Let's do it already," said Chumvi.
The twin prince and princess and their best friends continue hanging out with each other in the Tarangire Grove just as they continue admiring it's great beauty since the Sunrise Kingdom is such a great beautiful kingdom just like any other many kingdoms in Africa according to Simba and Amani's parents King Mufasa and Queen Sarabi as well as the mothers and fathers of their best friends Nala, Tojo, Chumvi, Kula, Malka, and Tama and the other members of the Sunrise Pride. The group of best friends begin doing various things together in the Tarangire Grove, and they had so much fun together doing so.
Simba, Nala, Tojo, Chumvi, Kula, Malka, and Tama played the game of hide-and-seek where each of them got to be it by finding each other in the savannah and each of them got to hide in some places while some young impalas were part of their game as well, the group of best friends raced each other throughout the savannah along with some young cheetah cubs, they danced with each other in the savannah along with some young banded mongooses, they had some fruit from on top of one of the baobab trees along with some young olive baboons, and they all went swimming in a river together along with some young elephant calves.
Soon, the group of best friends take a break of playing with each other in the savannah of the Tarangire Grove, and they begin relaxing on some rocks that is located in the midst of the savannah and witness the red shining sun over the whole kingdom, much to their amazement. Also, Simba bonds with Nala while they are both unaware that they are in love with each other and Amani and Tojo bond with each other while they are unaware they have romantic feelings for each other, and Chumvi and Kula bond with each other while they have feelings for each other which they are unaware of and Malka and Tama bond with each other while they are in love with each other which they are unaware of as well.
Just as the royal twins and their best friends relax with each other in the midst of the savannah of the Tarangire Grove together, admiring the sun together, and bonding with each other while they are unaware that they are deeply in love with each other, some of the members of the Royal Advisory Council Of The Sunrise Kingdom such as Zazu, Bahati, Afua, and Damisi arrive at the Tarangire Grove and they quickly find them in the savannah just as they approach them, and they suddenly notice their arrival in the Tarangire Grove and they greet them while they inform about something that is very important for the Sunrise Kingdom.
"Their royal highnesses Crown Prince Simba and Princess Amani." said Zazu just as he bowed to Simba and Amani.
"It's their friends Nala, Kula, and Tama." said Bahati.
"And their other friends Tojo, Chumvi, and Malka." said Afua.
"Hey, Zazu and Afua." Simba greeted.
"Hello, Bahati and Damisi." Amani greeted.
"What are you children doing out here in the Tarangire Grove? " asked Damisi.
"We're just hanging out with each other, that's all." said Nala.
"That's what we would usually do together," said Tojo.
"We already know that, but we need to tell you something," said Damisi.
"Yeah, what is it?" asked Chumvi.
"Today is a very special day for the whole kingdom," said Afua.
"And it's for everybody who lives in the kingdom too." said Bahati.
"Including the royal family and the Sunrise Pride," said Zazu.
"Well, what is it anyway?" asked Kula.
"What is today that is so special?" asked Malka.
"Today is a very special holiday," said Bahati.
"Really? It is? " asked Tama.
"Yes, and today is the Festival Of The Sun." said Zazu.
"Today's the Festival Of The Sun? " asked Simba. Zazu, Bahati, Afua, and Damisi nodded their heads yes. "We didn't even notice it's gonna be today, guys."
"So, when is the Festival Of The Sun is gonna start today?" asked Amani.
"It's starting right now, and the whole Sunrise Pride and everybody who lives in the kingdom are gathering at the Ngorongoro Valley," said Zazu.
"The Festival Of The Sun is gonna be held at the Ngorongoro Valley this year, and last year, it was held at the Kitulo Meadows." said Afua.
"Your parents, their majesties King Mufasa and Queen Sarabi asked us to search for you and your friends, and thank goodness we've found you just in time," said Damisi.
"What are you children waiting for? You must be present at the special event just like everybody else. Come on, let's go already." said Bahati.
"You're right. Let's go to the Festival Of The Sun, everybody." said Simba.
"Yeah, let's go there at the Ngorongoro Valley since it's gonna be held there this year. C'mon." said Amani.
Then, Simba, Amani, Tojo, Chumvi, Kula, Malka, and Tama stop relaxing with each other and bonding with each other and they all leave the Tarangire Grove along with Zazu, Bahati, Afua, and Damisi, and they begin heading to the Ngorongoro Valley so they could attend The Festival Of The Sun with the rest of the Sunrise Pride and everybody else who lives in the Sunrise Kingdom. They travel throughout the kingdom for a moment until they all arrive at the Ngorongoro Valley where the Festival Of The Sun is about to begin, and all the male lions and all the lionesses of the Sunrise Pride as well as all of the inhabitants of the Sunrise Kingdom, including the rest of the members of the royal family, the rest of the royal advisors, and Rafiki who is the shaman of the kingdom.
Inside the Ngorongoro Valley where the Festival Of The Sun would be held this year, the members of the royal family are getting ready for the event with while Nala, Tojo, Chumvi, Kula, Malka, and Tama, their parents, and the other members of the Sunrise Pride get ready for the event too somewhere in the savannah while Rafiki, Zazu, Bahati, Elewa, Mwanga, Afua, and Damisi gather the many inhabitants of the kingdom elsewhere in the savannah at some large rocks where the royal family and the Sunrise Pride will begin the special event.
Simba puts on a royal prince grass crown, Amani puts on a royal princess flower crown, Mufasa puts on a royal king grass crown, Sarabi puts on a royal queen flower crown, Zahara puts on a royal princess flower crown, Ushindi puts on a royal prince grass crown, Wepesi puts on a royal princess flower crown, Nala, Kula, and Tama put some flowers on each side on their heads, Tojo, Chumvi, and Malka put some grass on each side on their heads, Jabari puts on some grass on each side on his head, the royal twins' best friends, parents and Jabari's parent put grasses and flowers on each side on their heads, and the rest of the male lions and lionesses of the Sunrise Pride put grasses and flowers on each side of their heads as well.
The royal family and the Sunrise Pride are all ready for the Festival Of The Sun and they all proceed to start the event, but before they could do so, they all quickly notice that Scar isn't present at the pride for attending the festival, and they realize that they don't have that much time to search for him, so they decide do the festival without him. They went to the location in the savannah of the Ngorongoro Valley where all of inhabitants of the Sunrise Kingdom has gathered at along with Rafiki and the members of the Royal Advisory Council Of The Sunrise Kingdom, and the royal family gathers on the top of the rocks together while the pride were right on their side as well as Rafiki and the six royal advisors were on their other side, and they begin the Festival Of The Sun.
"Animals of the Sunrise Kingdom, we have all gathered here at the Ngorongoro Valley to celebrate something very special today." Mufasa announced to the large crowd. "And it's the Festival Of The Sun, one of the most important holidays of the kingdom. It's to celebrate the very day when the Sunrise Kingdom has been first founded by one of the ancestors of the royal family which is King Jua himself thousands of years ago, and he was the one who first formed the Sunrise Pride and constructed the Royal Kopje Of The Shining Sun with the help of his pride. The Festival Of The Sun is also one of those holidays for all of us to be together since we're all connected to the great Circle Of Life, and the Circle Of Life is a concept that everybody can live in peace together. Now may the festival begin."
All of the inhabitants of the Sunrise Kingdom began cheering and King Mufasa, Queen Sarabi, Princess Zahara, Prince Ushindi, and the other adult male lions and adult lionesses roared over the savannah in complete joy while Crown Prince Simba, Princess Amani, Nala, Tojo, Chumvi, Kula, Malka, Tama, Princess Wepesi, Jabari, and the other young male lion cubs and young lioness cubs cheered as well just as the Festival Of The Sun begins, and even Rafiki and the six royal advisors cheered as well.
Then, everybody turns to one of the vast lakes of the Ngorongoro Valley where they all witness a very wonderful performance for the celebration of the day when the Sunrise Kingdom has been first founded by the very first sovereign King Jua as well as how the Sunrise Pride has been first established by him and when the Royal Kopje Of The Shining Sun has been first built by him and the Sunrise Pride, and the performance is being carried out by a large flock of flamingos who danced in the lake and danced in the air together, a large herd of elephants who used their trunks to make light drizzling water drops in the air over the lake, a troop of vervet monkeys using some sticks and logs to make some drum music with them, a group of honey badgers used some sticks as flutes to make some flute music, a group of hares used some sticks and strings as harps to make some harp music, and a large herd of thomson's gazelles danced around the lake.
The royal family, the Sunrise Pride, Rafiki, the six royal advisors, and everybody else who lives in the Sunrise Kingdom watched the outstanding performance for the Festival Of The Sun together in complete amazement, and while the celebration of the day when the Sunrise Kingdom has been first founded by King Jua as well as the Sunrise Pride being founded by him and the Royal Kopje was constructed by him and his pride, a beautiful rainbow appears over the Ngorongoro Valley and some of the spirits of the past members of the royal family begins attending the celebration in the clouds such as Queen Uru and her husband King Ahadi who warmly nuzzle each other and King Mohatu and his wife Queen Yumna who warmly embraced each other, much to everybody's amazement.
While the Festival Of The Sun was being held in the Ngorongoro Valley and everybody was attending it together, Scar was elsewhere in the Ngorongoro Valley witnessing the whole festival in complete jealousy and contempt along with his three hyena henchmen Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed as well as some other four hyenas who also serve as his henchmen since he desires to have the throne of the Royal Kopje Of The Shining Sun by somehow assassinating Mufasa's two children Simba and Amani with the help of his hyena henchmen so he could steal the throne just as he believes that it's rightfully his even though the twins are the rightful heirs to the throne and Simba is the true future king.
Sometime later in the Sunrise Kingdom, the Festival Of The Sun has ended in the Ngorongoro Valley, and all of the inhabitants of the kingdom return to their homes. The royal family and the members of the Sunrise Pride begin returning back to the Royal Kopje Of The Shining Sun while the six royal advisors and Rafiki did the same thing, and while they did so, Mufasa informs Simba and Amani that he would teach them all about the concept of the great Circle Of Life, their ancestors who used to rule the kingdom before him, and the responsibilities of being sovereign and having siblings to help them run the kingdom the next morning, much to his twin son and daughter's delight just as they both warmly embraced him.
The next day, in a such beautiful morning at the Royal Kopje Of The Shining Sun, the royal twins Crown Prince Simba and Princess Amani comes out from one of the dens where they both witness the red shining sun rise over the kingdom, and they smile at the crack of dawn since they notice it's the perfect time for their father to give them lessons about being the sovereign and the siblings of the sovereign to help them out when in need, and they both head back inside the den where the royal family and the members of the Sunrise Pride are sleeping together and they approached their parents who are both sleeping at the midst of the royal den which is the place for the sovereign, the sovereign's royal consort, and their children.
"Dad! Dad! Dad!" Simba and Amani called out.
"Come on, we gotta go and the day has just started!" Simba called out.
"Let's go already! Wake up!" Amani called out.
The royal twins continued approaching their parents just as they managed to get through some of the male lions and lionesses just as Simba accidentally jumps on one of the lionesses which he apologized for and Amani accidentally jumps on one of the male lions which she apologized for, and they quickly managed to approach their father and mother and they attempt to wake their father, but he's still fast asleep along with his wife, and they still attempt to wake him up while they became annoyed by their behavior in their sleep.
"Your son and daughter are awake early in the morning." said Sarabi sleepily.
"Before the sun rises in the morning, they're your son and daughter," said Mufasa.
Simba and Amani are trying to wake up their father, and Simba even attempts to pull Mufasa's ear with his teeth in order to wake him up but he ends losing his grip and tumbles over and Amani even attempts to jump on Mufasa's head in order to wake him up but she ends up losing her balance and fell over on Simba by accident. The royal twins then ran up to their father and they both headbutt him on his face which caused him to drowsily stare at them with one of his eyes open.
"You promised that you would give us the lessons today!" said Simba.
"Yeah, and today is the day you would do so!" said Amani.
The drowsy Mufasa stared at his two children for a moment just as they both glared him, and he quickly noticed their impatience and quickly decides to give them the lessons about being part of the royal family just like he promised them after the Festival Of The Sun in the Ngorongoro Valley from yesterday just as he finally wakes himself up.
"Okay, okay, okay. I'm awake." said Mufasa sleepily.
"Yeah!" cheered Simba just as he rushed out of the royal den in excitement.
"Hooray!" cheered Amani just as she rushed out of the royal den in excitement.
Mufasa yawns loudly just as Sarabi also wakes herself up, and they both get up from the sovereign's sleeping place and begin leaving the royal den along with their son and daughter. Outside of the den, Simba and Amani both skipped out of the den in complete joy and excitement while their parents Mufasa and Sarabi came out of the den in joy as well. The twins approached their mother and they both rubbed against her leg affectionately, and their mother nudged each of their rumps in encouragement. The twins then begin ascending the Royal Kopje Of The Shining Sun along with their father while their mother watches them with a proud smile.
At the top of the Royal Kopje Of The Shining Sun which is the summit, the rising red sun illuminates over the Royal Kopje while it also illuminates over the whole Sunrise Kingdom, and King Mufasa sat on top of the summit along with his son Crown Prince Simba and his daughter Princess Amani who are his two royal heirs to the throne of the Royal Kopje just as he showed him the whole kingdom from the summit and began teaching them the responsibilities of being members of the royal family and the concept of the Circle Of Life as well as their own ancestors who used to rule the Sunrise Kingdom before him.
"Look, Simba and Amani, my son and daughter," said Mufasa. "Everything the red sunlight touches is our own kingdom which is known as the Sunrise Kingdom, and the main emblem of the kingdom we all live in is a red sun and it always has been."
"Wow! The emblem of the Sunrise Kingdom has always been a red sun?" asked Simba. "Just like the red sun that has always appeared in the sky over the savannah?"
"Yes, and it's even when the kingdom was first coming to be and was first founded by our ancestor King Jua." said Mufasa. "Also, a sovereign's time as a ruler rises and falls like the shining sun. Someday, the sun will set on my time here, and will rise with you as the new sovereign, Simba."
"That's really amazing to hear about, Daddy." said Amani. "So, about Simba becoming the next sovereign someday, all of the Sunrise Kingdom will be his?"
"Everything. All of the locations will become his when it's time for him to ascend the throne and become king." said Mufasa. "The Serengeti Plains, the Arusha Hills, the Ngorongoro Valley, the Tarangire Grove, the Manyara Lake, everywhere in the whole kingdom will belong to him, especially the Royal Kopje Of The Shining Sun. Oh, and when your twin brother becomes king, you will be helping him with running the kingdom and that's what the siblings of the sovereign's always do, and you must work together to do so."
"Alright, and you're absolutely right about what you said. It is about teamwork, and we must work together if we're gonna do it someday." said Amani. She observed the Sunrise Kingdom along with Simba. "The whole kingdom is really fantastic, even when you see it from the top of the Royal Kopje."
"The view of the kingdom from all the way up here is really outstanding," said Simba. "Everything the sunlight touches is absolutely the kingdom we all live in." He and Amani then notice the Shadow Domain in the distance from the Sunrise Kingdom. "What about that Shadowy Place? Will that belong to me too when I become the new sovereign?"
"That is the Shadow Domain, and that's beyond the borders of the Sunrise Kingdom," said Mufasa. "You and your sister must never go there, Simba."
"But we've always thought that sovereigns can get to do whatever they want whenever they want to." said Amani.
"Well, there's more about being a sovereign than getting your way all the time." said Mufasa.
"Really? There's more to being a ruler of a kingdom?" asked Simba.
Mufasa chuckled just as he smiled at him and his twin sister Amani, and Simba and Amani smiled at their father and they leave the summit of the Royal Kopje together just as Mufasa continue to each their children about the Circle Of Life as well as their ancestors who are the past kings and queens of the Royal Kopje and the responsibilities of being royalty.
Soon, the twins and their father arrive at the vast glorious savannah of the Serengeti Plains while the Royal Kopje Of The Shining Sun is in the distance, and they witnessed a herd of antelopes prance across the savannah together, a troop of vervet monkeys spending some time with each other in the savannah, a pod of hippopotamuses taking a bath with each other in a river in the savannah, a flock of eagles flying over the savannah, a group of ants carrying some food to their anthill in the savannah, and some butterflies fluttering across the savannah, much to the amazement of the royal twins.
"Everything you see has been worked so hard to build by our ancestors who used to be the sovereign way before me." explained Mufasa. "Especially Jua who founded the kingdom thousands of years ago and became the very first sovereign, and everything you see exists in a delicate balance where everybody lives in peace together and treats each other equally. As sovereign, you need to understand that balance, from the crawling ant to the leaping antelope."
"But, Dad, do we eat the antelope just like we eat the zebra, hippo, buffalo, and giraffe?" asked Simba in surprise.
"Yes, my son, but let me explain about the way of life around here," said Mufasa. "When each of us dies, our bodies become part of the grass, and the antelope would eat the grass as well as the zebra, hippo, buffalo, and giraffe. So, that's why we are all connected in the great Circle Of Life."
"Wow. Everything about the Circle Of Life is really amazing, especially since it's all about peace and harmony for everybody." said Amani.
"Also, not only the Circle Of Life is being respected in the Sunrise Kingdom, it's being respected everywhere else, and it's the other glorious kingdoms." said Mufasa.
"Dad, that's really wonderful." said Simba.
Simba and Amani witnessed the view of the beautiful savannah of the Serengeti Plains just as they also witnessed the herd of antelopes arrive at another river and drank some water from it as well as a herd of giraffes eat some leaves from some of the acacia trees, a troop of baboons sharing some flowers with each other, a flock of ducks swimming across the river together, and a group of hares playing together along with their father Mufasa, and they are very amazed by how everybody are connected in the Circle Of Life and how the concept of the Circle Of Life is everywhere else besides the Sunrise Kingdom.
Soon, Zazu arrives at the savannah and warmly greets King Mufasa as well as his two children Crown Prince Simba and Princess Amani just as lands on a nearby rock, and he kindly gives the morning report to King Mufasa about what goes on in the kingdom and what does the inhabitants of the kingdom does. While he does so, Simba suddenly sees a grasshopper in the grass and attempts to pounce on it but he misses it, and Amani suddenly sees a cricket in the grass and attempts to pounce on it but she also misses it. Mufasa suddenly notices the royal twins attempting to pounce on the insects, and he decided to give them some pouncing lessons, and they could use Zazu to do so.
Zazu continued doing the morning report and Mufasa asked him to turn himself around which he did so, and Mufasa proceeded to teach his twin son and daughter on how to pounce. Zazu suddenly notices what's going on and realizes that Mufasa is using him for pouncing lessons for his children, and he attempts to go against the idea but he was forced to comply when Mufasa ordered him to do so, much to his embarrassment. Suddenly, just as Mufasa gave orders to his son and daughter, he and his children seemingly disappeared, much to Zazu's surprise, and the twins manage to pounce Zazu on the ground which made Mufasa very proud of them.
Suddenly, a gopher appeared and informed Zazu about the spotted hyenas intruding the Sunrise Kingdom, and just as Mufasa was going to give his son some more pouncing lessons but he suddenly got interrupted when Zazu informed him about the hyena intruders. Mufasa then springs into action to deal with them along with the patrol group of the Sunrise Pride, and Simba and Amani wishes to come along with him but he refuses for their safety and he then leaves to deal with the situation while he orders Zazu to send his two children back to the Royal Kopje which he agrees to do so. Simba and Amani still wishes to join their father to deal with intruders so much just as they became very disappointed, and Zazu managed to cheer them up by informing them that they will be able to chase out intruders as well as go out hunting someday, even when Simba ascends the throne since he's the rightful heir.
Later on that day at the Royal Kopje Of The Shining Sun, Simba and Amani witnessed the view of the Sunrise Kingdom from one of its locations in complete amazement, and right after their father Mufasa has taught them about the great Circle Of Life as well as the past kings and queens of the Sunrise Kingdom and the responsibilities of being royalty, Simba really can't wait to be the new sovereign someday and Amani can't wait to help Simba with things around the kingdom when in need when he ascends the throne since they are both the royal heirs to the throne of the Royal Kopje, and they express their sibling love for each other just as they warmly nuzzled each other and began bonding with each other.
