The Next Day

Watching Mika in her sensei's crystal ball as he sparred with the Raijin with Hinata and Neji Hyuuga, Tsunade sighed mournfully. "You were an idiot sensei. This boy, he is of the same clothe as Orochimaru, but he is so unlike him. Warmer, kinder, not twisted. He is a ninja, and capable of death and murder, but he is good and kind." She saw the boy laugh with the Hyuugas, making Neji smile, and Hinata giggle. "There is nothing in his soul that makes me wonder if he will be a monster, experimenting on babies and all sorts of evil things."

Turning her gaze to the Third's notes, she just sighed against.

"You couldn't stop Orochimaru, but would condemn this child. In some ways it was best that you passed. You were too warped and stuck in the past to see your flaws... I will always miss you, but your actions were almost unforgivable."

It was then that two chunin, the Gate gaurds burst into her room and she learned something she had not foreseen.

Sasuke Uchiha had defected.

"Go to training field eleven, get these three, now!" Mika and his Hyuuga's were there in moments. "Sasuke Uchiha has defected, I will not pretend otherwise. He is likely defecting to Orochimaru's care. I normally would not be able to spare any one bar one chunin but Mika,... you have the best chance of capturing him alive or dead. You are the only one that would be willing to kill Sasuke... and that is what I am counting on."

Mika bowed, his eyes cold and serious as a glacier. "How many may I take with me? What rank?"

"Genin, I would take your Hyuuga friends.:"

"I planned on it. Hinata, get Kiba, Neji get Tenten. Meet me at the gate in ten minutes."

Tsunade stopped him. "Take Naruto with you, he may be a pain but if we do not put him on this mission... well we would never hear the end of it."

The boy was clearly annoyed, but he did not even sigh. She saw it so briefly in his eyes it startled her, but he actually controlled himself well.

"Then I will get him. Be at the gate in ten minutes, let's go."

"I wish you luck,... remember, Sasuke is not going to be alone."

Mika grinned. "I am aware, no way he is not being guarded." Mika walked over to her, handing the Rajin. "I do not want to lose this if I die... or am wounded. It is safer until i master it."

She nodded. "I agree, sadly...be safe. "

Mika hated Naruto at times, the boy was a brat and immature and weak... but he had raw power and those fucking clones, He would be an asset if he could control himself. So when Mika told him that Sasuke defected, and Naruto overreacted and left to gather his stuff, Mika only sighed for a second. Naruto and him rushed out, to the gates where his team was already formed.

"Good. We must be swift in our leaving." Mika turned to Tenten. "You take middle, tossing your amazingly accurate tools out at anyone. Neji said you have borderline telescopic vision, I expect open eyes. Neji you take back, I need you to react to any thing. Hinata you are in front, you may not have Neji's range but you are still great at picking up details. I expect you to be open to anything and report to me.

I am next, I am our strongest fighter and can react well to most things. Kiba you are next in front of Neji, I expect your brilliant nose and Akamaru's to sniff out anything yo can. Naruto you are in front of Tenten but behind me. I swear to the Shinigmai and Jashin, if you do not act right I will happily behead you." He glared at Naruto with enough force the boy actually nodded in terror. "Your clone can be amazing here, I expect you to use them and kick ass."

It was about then the sniffling Sakura stepped toward them. "Please,... Naruto... bring him back to me, promise of a lifetime!"

Mika stopped Naruto from answering. "Aside from that being unfair, you barely know the traitor Sakura. Your stalking victim is a traitor and may be killed for his actions, at the least he will be jailed. You need to back off and grow up. I don't even like Naruto and I know he deserves better. Let's go catch the traitor."

And like that they shot off, into the distance, to Sasuke and a fate they had no idea they would endure.
