Really just filler, but it is based on an anime arc I liked.
Two Weeks Later
"Really, Sakura?" Mika was stunned, listening to Hinata as they sparred.
The girl had, in a short time, become a beast of evasion so he was really challenged in the spar. Sparrign with Hana and her three dogs, moving at Jonin speeds, really boosted that attribute. The constant praise from Mika, Hana, Neji and even Tsume ( who flat out declared that Hinata was probably the strongest girl of their generation by a mile) had done wonders for Hinata's emotional issues. That she also killed a powerful servant of Orochimaru with only her own skills really did more though, the girl no longer squeaked or stuttered, she was strong and potent and powerful and learning at a Mika level pace.
"Yes, she is Lady Tsuande's personal student, under Shizune. She is already showing high potential academically." Hinata replied, ducking under Mika's strike and chopping his wrist to the side before kicking his chest. He flipped back, using the motion to kick her though she grabbed his ankle and threw him aside.
He pulled out his blade, ready to up the spar, when he saw Hinata freezing. "What?"
"People in prison garb, rushing through the forests and village! Mizuki is among them!"
Mika rummaged through his thoughts. "Come with me, act as backup. You are easily Upper chunin level, between us two we can capture some of them, taking the burden off of ANBU... but remember, if we cannot capture, we kill. That is the law, and the standing orders for anyone that escapes imprisonment."
And so they moved off, into the woods, with Hinata guiding him toward their targets. They found a group of seven ninja, none of which were familiar. Realizing that he could not carry them all back, even with his clones, he resigned himself to killing them. Turning to Hinata, he nodded. Her eyes grew cold, and she nodded in return. Gathering themselves, they both leapt down, and unleashed holy hell on the idiots.
Hinata, a graceful dancer of death, killed with the merest of touches. Mika, with his flawless blade, beheaded three on his own in three perfect swipes.
Without hesitating, they bounced toward the next group, and again made light work out of the weakened, sickly, rusty ninjas. Most criminals in the Leaf were genin or chunin, Jonin level criminals were often killed to ensure they could not reveal secrets or kill more. They were not so easily contained, so death was the best option.
Things got rough after the thirty second criminal they slaughtered, the woman they were chasing slammed her palms together before slamming them onto the ground. A massive ripple of earth rushed toward them, they did manage to dodge but it was enough to give her a second to try and rush off. Mika was there, in her face, slashing and stabbing, Hinata poking and jabbing, but the woman was desperate. She fought with all she was.
"I WON'T GO BACK! SUICIDE BOMB JUTSU!" And like that, her body started to glow, radiating heat and energy. Hinata threw herself in front of Mika, and did something he never saw coming.
"ROTATION!" A wall of chakra and kinetic force shielded them both from the explosive attack, but still pushed them back quite far. Dropping the jutsu, Hinata collapsed, shaking. "My chakra levels are barely enough to manage that... I need to do better. I have a new jutsu I am working on, to make it easier, but I wanted to, needed to master that one."
Mika put a palm on her back, and pushed chakra into her core. A lovely trick, using his chakra to bolster her natural healing process, it helped restore her chakra without draining too much of his own. A trick he just learned. " Better?" She nodded. "And be proud, that was remarkable."
She stood, shaking her head. "We need to continue on, there are more and they were startled by the explosion."
"I figured... just be careful. I hope none use that jutsu, it was one I hear was Used a lot during the war to prevent people from becoming Sex slaves in Rock or Cloud."
She sighed. "My Great aunt made that jutsu, to help keep woman from suffering that fate. Few know that, but it is one of the only nonclan jutsu I know... My father has no idea I know it."
"I hope you never feel the need to use it."
