Katara and Sokka had experienced numerous extraordinary and peculiar events in their relatively short lives. They had borne witness to a duel involving the Avatar in a state that seemed almost divine, pitted against a golden-haired boy with striking blue eyes. This boy possessed remarkable strength and speed, not to mention the ability to create clones of himself and summon weapons. In Sokka's eyes, this newcomer was a sorcerer; there was no other plausible explanation.

However, amidst all these strange occurrences, an even more peculiar event was unfolding.

"I like your jacket, the orange one looks great on you."

"Thanks! I really dig your suit too. Can you actually fly by generating wind like that?"

"Wow, yeah! And I use this staff as a glider."

As Appa sailed serenely through the skies, the two younger boys had been engaged in a lengthy conversation for hours. It was as if they were old friends, reuniting after years apart. The two water tribe natives were familiar with the saying that your enemy might one day become your friend. But they hadn't anticipated this transition happening in less than a day.

"Hey, watch out!" Sokka nearly dropped his water canteen as the bald boy soared above them, demonstrating his glider skills. All of this occurred under the amused gaze of Naruto, who watched in astonishment as the monk gracefully traversed the skies. "They're like two peas in a pod, a pair of idiots," he grumbled, wiping his face from the splashes of water.

"Isn't it adorable?" Even Katara had her doubts about whether the two boys were long-lost brothers or something of the sort. Both Naruto and Aang shared a cheerful, joking, outgoing, and bright character, and they even sported matching orange clothes. What more proof was needed? They were like two peas in a pod.

The conversation between the siblings came to an abrupt halt as the monk touched down on Appa.

Katara and Sokka held differing opinions about Naruto. On the one hand, he seemed like a genuinely kind and noble boy, which was exemplified by the care he took in giving a proper burial to everyone at the Southern Air Temple. But...

When Sokka inquired about Naruto's origins, the reply was simply, 'From a faraway place.' This response did little to ease the brothers' suspicions. Naruto's peculiar traits, from his golden hair to the unusual marks on his cheeks (which momentarily stirred Katara's curiosity), only intensified their wariness. He was like no one they had ever heard of or seen before.

However, Aang's immediate acceptance of Naruto into their group forced Sokka, the more skeptical of the two, to put his questions aside for the time being.

"Leave that alone, you little troublemaker!" Sokka yelled at Momo, the monkey-bat that accompanied the monk. At that moment, Momo was rummaging through Sokka's sleeping bag in search of a snack. "Katara, are my pants ready?"

"Quiet, I'm still working."

"Come on, Katara, this is supposed to be simple," he complained while sharpening his boomerang.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Katara stopped sewing and shot her brother a dirty look. Naruto wisely moved a bit away from the girl; he knew what could happen when a girl got angry.

"You know, women are good at baking, cooking, and cleaning, while we men do the fighting, hunting, and all that stuff," Sokka stated casually, as if discussing the weather.

"…?" Naruto just tilted his head in confusion at Sokka's words, while Aang was busy playing with his pet monkey.

"Here are your pants, silly!" She tossed the pants to her older brother, crossing her arms in obvious annoyance.

"Oh, come on! There's still another hole," Sokka complained. When he realized that his sister wasn't paying attention to his grievances, he simply sat down and gazed at the sky. However, when his stomach growled, he rummaged through his belongings in search of something to eat. "…" The crumbs at the bottom of his bag were not a good sign. "Hey, wizard boy."

"I'm a shinobi."

"It's the same; you can't make food appear with those things on your wrists," he pointed out skeptically.

"I can only summon weapons or non-organic items. I don't have the ability to create seals for things like food," Naruto responded with a snort, struggling to recall the seals Tenten had once shown him.

"Ugh, you sorcerer."

"I'm a ninja!"

"What in the world is a ninja?"

"Now, guys," Aang interjected, calming his companions. He gazed out at the sea on the horizon, where a small island was gradually coming into view. "We're a bit short on supplies, but there's a nearby island that might have what we need. Plus, there's something cool I want to show you."

"Well, hurry up; I need to use the bathroom." Naruto shifted uncomfortably where he sat, considering the idea of simply dropping his pants and relieving himself. After all, they were on the sea. However, he knew Katara would toss him overboard if he dared.

"Of course!"
