Despite actually seeing (and hearing) it happen in front of her very eyes, the young girl known as Ochako Uraraka couldn't help but simply watch the two girls her own age with far too professional looking equipment rush towards the massive mechanical titan that was the Zero-Pointer with the intention of fighting it in disbelief, all while singing at the same time. While she couldn't help but find it a bit bizarre, there was a definite beauty in the two girls who had to be complete strangers' duet. A song performed by one girl wielding a scythe and another girl wielding various sawblades, united by the calling to be heroes.
As the Zero-Pointer continued to rampage throughout the test site, the two weapon wielding girls hadn't been able to cause any significant damage to the mechanical titan, especially since they were more or less forced to divert their efforts to damage the giant robot in favor of slicing up the falling debris caused by the aforementioned robot's rampage. The weapon wielders' frustration was rather difficult to miss as the scythe wielder had stopped singing in favor of voicing her frustrations.
"Damn it! This isn't working! Our attacks aren't doing enough damage to even slow that oversized tin can down!" Shouted the scythe wielder, the frustration practically dripping from her pores, as she sliced through another piece of debris along with a smaller robot.
"I know. There has to be something we can do to stop it." Muttered the saw-wielder. Despite the calm of her voice, it was still rather clear she too was frustrated by their lack of progress.
"But what!? So far, our weapons have only left a couple small dents in it, what are we gonna do!?"
"Small dents… that's it!"
"Huh? What did I say?"
"Your weapon can shapeshift, right?"
"Yes, why?"
"I think I have an idea to destroy this thing."
"Go on."
"We're gonna use the biggest blades we can make and introduce 'Mister Big, Fat, Dumb and Metallic' to them."
"Our biggest blades… that's crazy!"
"Perhaps, but do you have any better ideas?"
"Nope. And I didn't say it was a bad idea, just crazy."
"Oh."
"Good thing I happened to like it on the crazy side. Let's do it… you know, I never asked earlier, but what's your name?"
"Midoriya. My name is Uta Midoriya, no Quirk. You?"
"Toga. Himiko Toga, no Quirk either. Let's go! Death!"
"Hai! Let's rev it."
(Himiko)"Sie sind das Essen!"
(Uta)"Und wir sind die Jäger!"
(Himiko)"Haa! Haa! Haa!"
(Both)"Wir sind die Jäger!" As the two weapon wielders' duet completed what sounded like the prelude to the first verse, the two girls were already on the move, running towards the Zero-Pointer's rear leg while slicing falling debris and smaller robots into pieces along the way.
(Himiko)"Our names won't be remembered, if we die like trampled flowers."
(Uta)"I refuse to be forgotten, written off as less than worthless!"
(Himiko)"Scream and cry but none will hear you."
(Uta)"Plead and beg but none will help you."
(Himiko)"You no longer live as cattle."
(Uta)"Will you rise and join the battle?" By the time the two weapon wielders had finished the first verse of their song, they were already making their way up one of the mechanical titan's 'legs', the saw wielder carving a trail behind her as the saw blades on her boots dug into the metal of the Zero-Pointer while the scythe wielder had shapeshifted her weapon into what could easily be described as a giant red throwing star with a green edge on a chain with the aforementioned throwing star being imbedded in the Zero-Pointer's 'butt' and was rail-grinding on an arm rail using a pair of rocket powered skates. Giving the chain a good yank while at the same time unfolding a pair of scythe blade-shaped wings with built in rocket engines and activating said rocket engines, the scythe wielder launched herself into the air.
"Woohoo! Air-time baby! Death!"
(Uta)"There are beings that live off of our fears."
(Himiko)"And their words are like knives!"
(Uta)"As they play with our lives!"
(Himiko)"They'll try to control you!"
(Uta)"As if they own you!"
(Both)"Will you let them steal your freedom!?" Throughout the duration of the pre-chorus, both of the two weapon wielders had been making their way up onto the Zero-Pointer's 'head'. Once they reached the top, they launched themselves high into the air, shapeshifting and combining their weapons into something that could best be described as an absolutely gigantic red and green colored halberd (originally the scythe-wielder's scythe) with a green and pink colored buzzsaw (originally the saw-wielder's yo-yos) for an axehead levitating mid air via the use of several rocket engines. Needless to say, more than a few people (if not everyone at Examination Site) were simply staring in complete and utter disbelief (some of them were even legitimately slack jawed at the sight) as the saw-wielder aggressively performed a few powerful yanks on the green and pink strings of energy connecting her to the giant halberd, more specifically the buzzsaw, as if she was revving up a chainsaw. On the third yank of the 'cords', she finally managed to start the engine and the buzzsaw rapidly started to spin.
"Now this… is MY kind of crazy. Wanna hang out after this? Death." Asked the scythe-wielder as she grabbed a hold of the giant halberd and prepared herself to make her swing, somewhat unsteadily keeping herself in the air by transforming her shoes into rocket shoes.
"I'd be happy to. Karaoke?" Replied the saw-wielder, who kept herself at the same height as her fellow weapon-wielder by shapeshifting and combining the buzzsaws on her boots into a rapidly rotating platform that seemed to be controlled through the shifting of her feet and distribution of weight. Despite it being rather clear that this was the first time using the platform, she wasn't struggling to keep herself balanced.
"Karaoke."
"Okay then. I think it's time to end this. You ready, Toga?"
"I'm ready, Midoriya! Deeeeeaaaaath!" With mighty yell of effort (in the form of her apparent catchphrase (or catchword) in the scythe wielder's case) both weapon-wielders swung the massive halberd at the Zero-Pointer, the buzzsaw quickly eating through the mechanical titan's plating and internal machinery, a few of the giant halberd's rocket engines turning off while others increased their power output, which allowed the weapon-wielders to swing the giant weapon with surprising speed despite its incredible size. The giant halberd's buzzsaw of an axehead 'chewed' through the Zero-Pointer surprisingly quickly and once it made it all the way through, the two resulting halves of the mechanical titan started to erupt with explosions before being completely consumed by a really big explosion, which became the background for the two weapon-wielders' landing, during which their respective weapons transformed back into their original states, a scythe and a pair of yo-yos. "Woohoo! KABOOM!"
"Indeed." While the saw-wielder didn't necessarily display her excitement as loudly as her fellow weapon-wielder, the fact that she was grinning and had raised her fist in invitation to a fist bump, which was met by the scythe-wielder, showed that she was enjoying the rush of adrenaline just as much as the scythe-wielder. "Hmm. Three, two, one."
"AND THAT'S TIME! THE TEST IS NOW OVER!" Shouted the very same Pro Hero who had started the Entrance Exam in the faux city, the Voice Hero: Present Mic, as if in response to the saw-wielder's countdown.
"Shall we get going, Toga?"
"Yes. But, please, call me Himiko."
"Okay, then you can call me Uta."
