The clone star fleet is under siege! Dozens of Republic warships have been destroyed in merciless surprise attacks that leave no survivors.
Rumors spread of a terrible new Separatist weapon. In the face of growing fear, the Jedi Council sends Master Plo Koon
to hunt down the menace before it strikes again...
A bunch of Republic cruisers and a large cruiser called the Triumphant is approaching a ship in the distance in the Abregado system . Inside the Triumphant, a clone commander named Wolffe approached the Kel Dor Jedi Master Plo Koon.
"The enemy ship has reduced it's speed, General" he informed
"They must've realized we are tracking them" Plo Koon said
The ship in the distance is in fact a Subjugator-class heavy cruiser called the Malevolence. Inside, a Kaleesh cyborg was walking over to some battle droids piloting the ship. His name is General Grievous, the commander of the droid army. Count Dooku was standing behind them
"We're tracking three Republic cruisers" the battle droid at the controls said "What should we do?"
This earned it a roar from Grievous
"Jam their transmissions" Dooku ordered
Back in the Triumpant, the Jedi Master and the clone commander noticed that the ship has not moved
"The fleet is holding it's position, sir" Wolffe said "
"I think it wise to report our position before we attack" Plo Koon suggested as he walked off
"Skywalker's fleet is nearby in the Bith system" Wolffe reported as he followed after him
"Good. Perhaps he can reinforce us" the Kel Dor Jedi Master said
"From what I hear, Skywalker's always ready for a fight" Wolffe said
"So I've heard" Plo Koon said as he reached the holocommunication table at the center of the ship. Plo Koon turned it on and shows a hologram of Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano, and Kamron Lor
"Ko-to-ya, Master Plo" greeted Ahsoka
"Yeah. Ko-to-ya, Master" greeted Kamron
"Ko-to-ya, little 'soka. And ko-to-ya, Padawan Lor" Plo Koon greeted
"How's the hunt for the mystery weapon going?" Anakin asked
"We've tracked it to the Abregado system" Plo Koon reported "We need reinforcements"
"I'll have to ask the Council, Master Plo" Anakin replied
Both Ahsoka and Kamron looked at him in surprise
"I was given strict orders to protect our staging area" Anakin said
Just as he said that, their holograms begin to fizzle
"Master Plo, what's happened?" Ahsoka asked
"Is there a problem?" Kamron asked
Then the transmission got cut off
"What's wrong with the transmission?" Plo Koon asked
"There's too much interference, sir" Wolffe said "We've lost em"
On the Republic cruiser in the Bith system, Anakin, Ahsoka, and Kamron were walking through the ship to the holocummincation table
"You heard Master Plo. He needs our support. We have to go help him" Ahsoka said
"I second that" Kamron added "What would happen if we left Master Plo and his forces to fight that weapon all by themselves?"
"We have to see what the Council decides first" Anakin answered
"You know Master Kenobi told me about you, Master Skywalker" Kamron said "He told me that you sometimes disobey orders when you fought in this war"
"I wouldn't say I disobey orders, Kamron. More like, I just do my own thing" Anakin said "And I just feel like following the rules this time"
Kamron looked at Ahsoka who shrug her shoulders in response.
"Now then, Ahsoka, Kamron, this is an important meeting. Remember, be mindful, and speak only when spoken to" Anakin instructed
"Yes, Master" Kamron said
"Don't I always" Ahsoka added
They reached the room to see a hologram of Mace Windu, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Master Yoda, and Chancellor Palpatine
"This mystery weapon has struck in a dozen of our systems and disappeared without a trace" Mace reported
"We cannot afford to lose anymore of our ships, my friends" Palpatine said "Ah, Master Skywalker. Have you had any success in finding General Grievous' secret weapon?"
Anakin pressed a button on the table to show a hologram of the Abregado system
"Master Plo was here in the Abregado sytem when we lost contact" he reported
In the Abregado system, the Republic cruisers were closing in on the Malevolence
"The enemy ship is closing" a clone trooper said
"Prepare for battle" Plo said to his troops
In the Malevolence, the battle droids were working
"General Grievous, this will be a suitable test for our new weapon" Dooku said " You may fire when ready"
"Yes, my lord" Grievous replied
The battle droids in the Malevolence begin to charge the ion cannons
"We're picking up a large energy reading from the target, sir" Wolffe informed
"Open fire" Plo ordered
"We're not in range yet, sir" Wolffe said
Back with the Malevolence,
"Fire!" Grievous ordered
The Malevolence then shot their ion cannon which head straight for the Republic cruisers. Plo Koon saw this
"Brace for impact!" he shouted
The energy beam went through the cruisers which caused all the power to go out
"We're losing all our power!" Wolffe said as their cruiser begins to fall through space "That energy field has left us defenseless"
"Their shields are down" a battle droid said
"All cannons. Fire!" Grievous ordered
The Malevolence begins to fire at the Republic cruisers. It hits one of them
"They're tearing us apart! One by one!" Wolffe yelled
Grievous laughed as the Malevolence continues to attack. It destroyed one of the cruisers
"Quickly! Into the pods!" Plo ordered
As the Malevolence continue to fire, all the clones begin to make their way into the escape pods.
"We don't have much time!" Plo yelled "Get inside! Hurry!"
Once they were all inside, all the escape pods begin to jettison into space. One of them hit the wreckage of the Republic cruiser and exploded
Back in the Malevolence,
"Another successful test. Wouldn't you say, Count?" Grievous asked the Sith Lord
"We must keep our position secret" Dooku said "Send out the hunters. I want all of those lifepods destroyed"
Grievous snarled at this. Then the Malevolence ejected a droid pod to search for the lifepods
Back in the Bith system, Anakin was still talking to the Council
"And we have no further contact with General Plo Koon" he reported "The absence of the distress beacon indicates that his fleet was..."
Anakin paused and looks at Ahsoka and Kamron. They both frowned
"That his fleet was destroyed, like the others. We are about to prepare a rescue mission" Anakin said
"Hasn't Clone Intelligence reported this weapon never leaves any survivors?" Palpatine asked
"The Separatists are being unusually tidy" Obi-Wan said "They don't want any witnesses"
Kamron nod his head at what his Master had said
"Tragic are these losses, but prevent more we must" Yoda said
Back in the Abregado system, a lifepod was floating in space. It contained Plo Koon and Wolffe and two more clone troopers. The troopers remove their helmets. One has white hair while the other one has two patches of hair on his head.
"The power engine is burned out. We've no engine, communications or..." Wolffe said "Life support recharge"
"So we just sit here, and hold our breath" said Clone Sergeant Sinker
"Someone will come looking for us. Right?" asked a clone trooper named Boost
Wolffe looked at Plo Koon for answers
"Let's get the power restored" the Kel Dor Jedi master said "So we are here to be found"
Back in the Republic cruiser on the Bith system,
"All our battle groups will be reassigned to guard our supply convoys. Including yours, Skywalker" Mace said "I'm afraid we can't risk anymore ships with a rescue mission"
"Wait!" Ahsoka spoke up "Just because there haven't been any survivors before, doesn't mean there won't be any this time"
Kamron smiled at what she said
The Council looked at each other
"Bold spoken for one so young" Palpatine said
Ahsoka bit her lip
"She is learning from Anakin" Obi-Wan said
"Excuse my Padawan" Anakin said as he glared at his Padawan "We will deploy as you have instructed, Master"
The hologram then disappeared. Ahsoka begins to walk away. Kamron decides to follow after her
"Ahsoka!" Anakin yelled
"If anyone could survive, Master Plo could!" Ahsoka said "I don't understand why..."
"What you don't understand is Jedi Protocol or your place my young Padawan" Anakin said sternly
"She was just speaking her mind, Master Skywalker. And frankly, I believe she has a point" Kamron said as he crossed his arms
What he said made Ahsoka smile
"Stay out of this, Kamron" Anakin said
Just then, Admiral Yularen and a clone trooper came in
"Admiral" Anakin said while clearing his throat "We'll split up our ships to maximize our defense area. I'll scout ahead for enemy activity"
"Isn't that risky, with the mystery weapon out there?" Yularen asked
"It might be" Anakin replied "But I know you won't argue my orders. Come on, Snips. You too, Kamron"
They begin to walk in the ship.
"Snips?" Kamron asked Ahsoka
"A nickname that Master Skywalker gave me during our mission at Christophsis" Ahsoka replied
"Oh" Kamron said
Back at Plo Koon and Wolffe's lifepod
"The air in here is getting a little bit stale" Wolffe said
"Don't look at me. It's Boost, sir. He only takes a bath when he's on leave" Sinker replied as he was working on the getting the power back
"Save it! Just keep working on the pod, not your jokes" Boost ordered
"Do you think we got a chance, General?" Wolffe asked
"I don't believe in chance, Commander" Plo replied "I know if we work together, we will stay alive, and someone will find us."
"With all due respect, General" Sinker said "Strategically, it doesn't make any sense for someone to come look for us. If I was in command, I'd be hunting that weapon down"
"I value your life more than finding that weapon" The Kel Dor Jedi Master replied
"Sir! There's another pod out ther!" Wolffe yelled as he points at the viewport
They look to see another pod near them
"If only we had power, we can contact them" Wolffe said
"Well, how about we just wave hello when the viewport comes in" Boost suggested
Plo Koon used the Force to get the pod around so they can see the viewport. Unfortunately, they see that the viewport has been shattere and clone troopers in the pod are all dead
"They're dead" Sinker said
"Someone busted their pod wide open" Wolffe added
"We are not alone out here" Plo said
Back with the Republic Cruiser, Anakin's ship, the Twilight flew off into space. Anakin was at the controls while Ahsoka was in the passenger seat. Kamron was in the back seat while R2-D2 was next to him.
"Set those new coordinates, Artoo?" Anakin asked
The astromech droid beeped affirmatively
"Master, I should tell you why I spoke up before..." Ahsoka began
"You don't have to explain anything" Anakin said before looking at Kamron "And Kamron. I hope you didn't take it so personally when I snapped at you. I understand that you were defending your friend"
"That's okay, Master Skywalker" Kamron said "Just prepare this ship for lightspeed"
Anakin nod his head and pulled the switch. The Twilight then disappeared into hyperspace
In a Republic cruiser in another system, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Commander Cody were standing on the bridge.
"Our ships are in defensive formation, sir" Cody informed
"Alright, Commander. I'll check on Anakin's progress" Obi-Wan said
He walked up to a screen and an image of Admiral Yularen and Captain Rex came up
"Admiral, how goes escort?" Obi-Wan asked
"Oh. Convoys are proceeding on schedule, General" Yularen said "No sign of enemy activity"
"And where's Skywalker?" Obi-Wan asked
"The General felt a redeployment of this fleet would increase our defensive perimeter" Yularen replied
"I see" Obi Wan said "Thank you, Admiral. That will be all"
The transmission then ends. Obi-Wan then begins to think about something
"Problem, sir?" Cody asked
"Anakin had just redeployed himself. Again" Obi-Wan said "Then there's Kamron. I just hope he's doing okay"
"I'm sure Commander Lor is doing fine, sir" Cody said "He can handle himself out there"
The Twilight came out of hyperspace and into the Abregado system.
"R2, set up the scanner. Modulate for any 'Mystery weapons'" Ahsoka said to the astromech droid
R2 beeped in response and prepare to do what he was told
"No, R2. Tune the scanners for lifeforms. Highest sensitivity" Anakin ordered
"Why would we scan for life forms to spot an enemy weapon probably filled with" Ahsoka said "battle droids"
She and Kamron got up and see a red planet in the viewport
"This must be the Abregado system, no doubt" Kamron said before noticing a red planet "I could see the sun Anza over there"
Anakin smirked at them
"Hold on a minute, Master Skywalker. You mean to tell us that you actually lied so we can go rescue Master Plo and the others?" Kamron asked with his eyes narrowed
Anakin nods his head
"So it's okay when you don't follow what the Council says" the Togruta Padawan said
"Doing what the Council says, that's one thing. Having go about doing it, that's another" Anakin replied "That's what I'm trying to teach you my young Padawan. And also you too, Kamron"
"I do not know how to respond to this" Kamron said
"So you always meant to come out here and look for survivors?" Ahsoka asked
"Lives are in danger, Ahsoka" Anakin said "We can't just turn our backs on them"
"That's what I said back in the briefing room!" Ahsoka yelled as she dropped onto the co-pilot seat
"Does this mean you secretly agreed with her?" Kamron asked as he got back in his seat
"You could say that" Anakin said before looking at Ahsoka "But the way you said it was wrong. Hurry up. Switch on the Illuminator"
"We haven't got much time before the fleet misses us" Ahsoka said with a smile
"I agree. We got some survivors to rescue" Kamron added as he worked on his end
Back at the escape pod, Sinker and Boost were figuring out a way to restore the power to the pod.
"No, that's not it" Sinker said as he points at the wires "This one goes there, That one goes there"
"Are you sure?" Boost asked "We don't want to make things worse"
"How are we gonna make things worse?" Sinker asked
"When you ask for trouble, you should not be surprise when it finds you" Plo told them
"I think trouble already found us, sir" Sinker said
"What if we connect these two wires right here" Boost said as he connected them
This caused pod to whirr as the power was restored
"I'm getting something" Wolffe said as he head to a console and heard someone, but the voice was faint
"We're under attack! Is anyone out there?!" a voice asked
"It's one of our other pods" Wolffe informed
In another pod, clone troopers were trying to make contact
"I repeat! We are under attack" one of the clones yelled "Is anyone out there?!"
"That signal is weak. They must be close by!" Plo said
Suddenly, a pod hunter latched onto the escape pod.
"They've locked onto our ship! They've locked onto our ship!" shouted the clone
Back at Plo Koon's escape pod, they continue to listen to the transmission
"Our position is Mark 12 at .26" the clone said
"I have visual contact" Wolffe said as he points at the viewport
Plo Koon, Wolffe, Sinker, and Boost watched as the battle droids cut through the escape pod
"Pod 1977, do you copy?" Plo Koon asked
"The droids our hunting survivors!" the clone yelled "They're coming through!"
The battle droids then finished cutting the pod opened, causing the clones to fly out into space
"Things ... Just got a lot worse" Sinker said
Back with the Twilight, it has reached the wreckage of the Republic cruiser
"This must be where Master Plo and his crew were attacked" Kamron said as he looked through the viewport
"The scanners are practically useless" Ahsoka said in disappointment before turning to R2 "Go anything on the emergency channel, R2?"
R2 beeped in response
"No, huh? Keep trying, R2. The survivors must be there" Kamron said
R2 whistled in agreement and got to work. The Twilight then got closer to the wreckage
"Now Ahsoka, we might find something we don't want to find" Anakin warned
"I know, Master" Ahsoka replied "But I have to believe"
Kamron couldn't help but smile at Ahsoka. She really had faith that the Kel Dor Master is still alive
"How do you know Master Plo anyway?" Anakin asked
"He's one of my oldest friends" Ahsoka answered "It was Master Plo Koon who found me and brought me to the temple where I belonged. Which is also where I met Kamron and Tek. Now he's lost. So I thought, maybe I can find him"
"Hey. I'm sure Master Plo is around here somewhere, Ahsoka" Kamron assured his friend "We just have to trust in the Force. "
"Thank you, Kamron. You always have the right words to say" Ahsoka said
"Hey. It's a gift" Kamron replied
R2 beeps. they then received a transmission
"Incoming transmission Master." Ahsoka said "I think someone notice we're gone"
A hologram of Obi Wan Kenobi appeared
"Anakin, where are you?" he asked
"Oh, hello Master" Anakin greeted "Uh, we made a quick stop in the Abregado system."
"A rescue mission I suppose. You had other orders" Obi Wan said
"It was my idea, Master Obi Wan" Ahsoka said
"I hope you understand why we are doing this" Kamron said
"I understand" Obi Wan said "Well, have you found any survivors?"
"No, you were right. The Separatists don't want any witnesses" Anakin said
"All the more reason for you to rejoin the defensive escorts" Obi Wan said "We need you, Anakin. You're going to miss the rendezvous with the fleet if you don't hurry"
"I know, Master. We are on our way" Anakin replied
The hologram of Obi Wan then disappears
"I'm sorry you two" Anakin said to Ahsoka and Kamron
Just as the Twilight is about to leave the wreckage, R2 then beeps excitedly
"What is it, R2?" Anakin asked
R2 beeps in response
"R2 says that he got something on the emergency channel" Kamron translated
"Can he trace it?" Anakin asked
R2 beeps and whistles
"Yes, he can" Kamron translated
"Well then, let's get going" Ahsoka said with a smile
Back with Plo Koon's pod, the crew is still waiting for someone to help them
"I think they see us" Boost said
"Corporal. There's another pod over there" a battle droid said as it points at Plo's Pod.
The pod hunter begins to head over to it. Plo saw this as it got closer
"It is time to go" he said
"Go? Where are you going, sir?" Wolffe asked
"Outside to destroy the enemy" the Kel Dor Jedi Master answered "I can withstand the pressure for a brief time. Put your helmets on"
"If you say so sir" Sinker replied
"This is a difficult situation. But there remains a possibility we will survive" Plo said
"That's good enough for me" Boost said as he and Sinker picked up some guns "Come on. Let's go!"
Just as Boost and Sinker put their helmets on, the pod hunter latched onto their pod
"Wolffe, keep the communication signal alive. It is our only chance someone will find us" Plo ordered
"Let's just hope someone's looking for us" Wolffe said
The Twilight continue to fly through the wreckage. R2 showed a map of the Abregado system
"Are we still picking up that signal?" Anakin asked
"Yes. But why aren't we finding anybody?" Ahsoka asked
"The Abregado system is very big. With all this wreckage out her, it is almost like a maze" Kamron said
Back on Plo Koon's side, the battle droids came out
"Well, this looks like the last one" a battle droid said "Let's finish the job"
Before it can cut open the pod, another battle droid spotted Plo Koon on top of it. With him are Boost and Sinker
"Hey. What's a Jedi doing out here?" it asked
Plo ignited his lightsaber. The battle droids begin to fire at them. The Kel Dor Jedi deflected the blasts and leaps down while Boost and Sinker fired back. Plo then begins to slice one battle droids
"Take cover" one of the battle droids said
Plo then used the Force to push a battle droid into space
Back in the Twilight, Ahsoka had turned on the radio to make contact
"Is there anyone out there?" she asked "This is Ahsoka Tano. Can anyone hear me?"
Back with the pod, Boost and Sinker continue to fire at the battle droid. The remaining droids flew up on top of the pod hunter
"I can't get a clear shot" Sinker said
"Let's put the squeeze on them" one of the battle droids said
The pod hunter begins to squeeze the pod. Wolffe, who was inside, saw this. As it begins to put pressure on it, Wolffe then heard Ahsoka's voice in the transmission
"Is there anyone out there? Come in. This is Ahsoka Tano. Is there anyone out there?"
"It's Ahsoka" Wolffe said "She must be close"
"Keep the signal alive, Commander" Plo ordered
Back in the Twilight
"R2, see if you can boost the reception" Ahsoka told the astromech
R2 beeped in response
"He says that he can't" translated Kamron
This caused Ahsoka to groan in frustration
"Patience, Ahsoka. We're trying to boost the power" Anakin told her "Hang on"
Plo Koon and the clone troopers continue to battle the droids. Inside, Wolffe begins to feel the pressure building as the pod hunter begins to crush it even further
"We're losing the signal. The pod can't take much more damage." Wolffe said urgently
"Sinker, your turn" Plo said as he turn to him
"I'm on it, boss" Sinker replied
Plo Koon then used the Force to hurl Sinker over to the pod hunter.
"What the?" a battle droid puzzled
Sinker then got behind them
"Eat laser, clankers!" he yelled as he opened fire on them. Once they were distracted, Plo used his lightsaber to cut the arms holding the pod off. He then used the Force to push the pod hunter away and to pull Sinker back over.
"Uh oh" a battle droid said as they hit a debris from the wreckage which destroyed them
On the Malevolence, a battle droid was checking the screen
"Sir, we have lost contact with the pod hunter" it informed
"Perhaps some survivors are putting up a fight" Grievous growled
"That is something we cannot allow" Dooku added
In the Senate Building on Coruscant, Palapatine was speaking with Obi Wan Kenobi, Mace Windu, and Yoda on his holocommunicator
"We must find a way to destroy this mystery weapon." Mace said
"Hmm. In this war, a step ahead of us, Dooku always seems" Yoda added
"Tell me. Has there been any word from Master Plo Koon or his fleet?" Palpatine asked
"No. We must fear the worst" Mace said
"Actually, I just received word that Anakin has found the remains of Plo's fleet and is searching the debris for survivors" Obi Wan informed
Mace and Yoda looked at each other as he said that
"On whose authority has he done this?" the Supreme Chancellor asked
"His own. I'm afraid" Obi Wan replied
"With his fleet out of position, we are left vulnerable" Mace said
"Oh his fleet is right where it should be" Obi Wan countered "He's taken only a small ship, and both his padawan and mine."
"Hmm. Thrice the trouble, they have become" Yoda said with a frown "A reckless decision, Skywalker has made"
"Let us hope it is not a costly one" Palpatine said
Back with Plo Koon and his crew,
"Well, General" Sinker said "This is another fine mess we've gotten into"
"Your sense of humor is improving" Plo said
"I don't mean to say I told you so, but I never believed anyone would come looking for us" Sinker said
In the Twilight, Kamron decides to use the Force to sense where Plo Koon and his crew is. He had closed his eyes and begin to focus. Just then, the hologram of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine came up
"Anakin, the Council is furious. Why have you left your post?" he asked
"I decided we just couldn't give up on Master Plo Koon" Anakin answered
"A noble gesture, Anakin. But the Coucil feels your daring may put others in danger." Palpatine said "Please listen to me, Anakin. Return at once."
"Yes, excellency" Anakin replied
The hologram then vanished
"I sense something" Kamron spoke up
Ahsoka looked at him
"I could feel that Master Plo Koon and his crew are on an life pod." Kamron said before opening his eyes. "They're still alive"
Ahsoka gasped
"Time to go, you two" Anakin said
"We have to stay!" Ahsoka yelled
"Ahsoka, I want to believe Master Plo is alive, but..." Anakin began
"No, Master Skywalker" Kamron interrupted "I felt it through the Force. Master Plo is still alive. He and some clone troopers are on a lifepod somewhere around here"
"Exactly!" Ahsoka said before taking control of the ship "Kamron, tell me where I should go"
"Okay" Kamron said "Make a right"
Ahsoka makes a U turn as they go through the system. Anakin and R2 yelled as she did that. Kamron held on to his seat
Back with the pod...
"Sergeant, why are you so certain no one is coming?" Plo asked
"We're just clones sir. We are meant to be expendable" Sinker replied
"No to me" Plo said
He then sees a bright light behind him. Plo turns to see the Twilight coming up
"There they are!" Ahsoka said as she saw the pod in the viewport
"Ready tow cable" Anakin said
"Come on, Kamron" Ahsoka said as she left
"Right behind you" Kamron replied as he followed her
Once the Twilight got closer, Ahsoka and Kamron got the tow cable ready
"Cable loaded, Master" Ahsoka said
"You may fire when ready" Kamron added
Anakin pushed a button and the Twilight shoots a tow cable and latched onto the pod. It then reeled it in. Anakin, Ahsoka, and Kamron came to the back where they see the pod reaching inside. The clone on the pod slid off
"Come on! Hurry!" Ahsoka yelled
They made their way over to the pod where Plo Koon was lying on the floor
"Are you okay Master Plo?" Ahsoka asked as she knelt down to him before noticing someone inside the pod "There's someone in the pod"
"I got this" Kamron said
He used the Force to pull out the viewport and Wolffe came out coughing. Anakin grabbed him and sets him down. Then a medical droid came in and examined the Clone Commander
"Will he be alright?" Anakin asked
"The pressure suits offer some protection, but they require a medical frigate for recovery." the medical droid replied "I will stabilize them, sir"
"Your men our safe now" Ahsoka told Plo
"Yeah, Master Plo. Just rest for a while" Kamron added
"Tell me. Were there any survivors?" Plo asked
"We... couldn't find anybody else" Anakin answered
"The hunters must've destroyed the rest" Plo said
"I'm sorry, Master Plo" Ahsoka said as she hugged him
Kamron looked down in sorrow
Anakin, Ahsoka, Kamron, and Plo Koon came up to the front
"Okay, Master Koon. Tell us what happened" Kamron said
"We tracked the mystery weapon to this system" Plo informed "That is when we found out it was an ion cannon"
"An ion cannon?" Ahsoka asked
"That's a new one" Kamron added
"A weapon that neutralizes all power to our ship. Leaving the targets defenseless" Plo explained
Anakin then sees something on his radar
"There's a massive vessel approaching" he said
"Shut down the power systems before they detect us!" Plo ordered as he begin to turn everything off
The Jedi followed suit and then the ship was cut off. Unfortunately, R2 was still turned on
"The droid!" the Kel Dor Jedi Master yelled
Ahsoka runs over to the astromech droid. R2 beeped nervously as she came up
"Sorry, little guy" she said as he turned him off
The Jedi all look in the viewport to see the Malevolence flying over
"That is one big cruiser crusher" Ahsoka said in amazement
"You can say that again" Kamron added as he watches this
Inside the Malevolence,
"There's still no signal from the pod hunter" a battle droid informed
"Reduce speed and activate your scanners!" Grievous ordered "We will find who is responsible"
Back in the Twilight, while the medical droid was tending to the clones, they noticed the power have shut off
"Hey, what's with the lights?" Boost asked
"Power has gone out" Wolffe said "Maybe that ship has returned. We should get up to the bridge"
He attempts to leave, but the medial droid stopped him
You are too weak. Let me go see what is wrong" it said
Anakin, Ahsoka, Kamron, and Plo watched as the Malevolence passed them
Back with the Malevolence, a battle droid was picking up something on the sensors
"We're picking a faint signal from a droid" a battle droid said "Not one of ours. They're right behind us"
"Move us into attack position!" Grievous growled
The Malevolence then begins to turn around. The Jedi saw this
"It's coming back" Anakin said
"Are all the system shut down?" Plo asked
Just then, the medical droid came in
"Is there a problem, sir?" it asked
"We forgot to shut off the medical droid" Ahsoka said
"It's too late now. We have to restore the power and make a tactical retreat" Kamron said
"You heard him. We got to get the power back on now" Anakin said
As the Jedi worked quickly to restore the power, Kamron went over to R2-D2 and turns him back on. R2 beeped in confusion
"It's a long story, R2. Which is something we don't have time for" Kamron said as he rushes to another side of the bridge to turn more of the power back on
"Can I be of assistance?" the medical droid asked
"That won't be necessary" Kamron said "Just go back and tend to the clones"
"That is my programming" the medical droid said as it left
"Come on we've got to get out here!" Anakin yelled
"I know! I know!" Ahsoka said
"I'm going as fast as I can!" Kamron added
Then the Twilight came back and flew away from the Malevolence
Inside the Malevolence, Grievous looked at a map to see something flying away
"Sir, the enemy is attempting to flee through the debris field." a battle droid informed
"General, I don't want any witnesses" Dooku said
"Energize plasma rotors!" Grievous commanded
The battle droids did what they were commanded. The Twilight continue to fly away
"R2, programmed the navicomputer. Be ready to get us out of here" Anakin said
R2 beeped in affirmation as he plugged in
"Good thing I turned him on when we were getting the power back on" Kamron said
"I owe you one, Kamron" Anakin said
"Thank you" Kamron replied
Back inside the Malevolence,
"Target ranged almost locked, sir" a battle droid said
"They're not going to make it" Grievous said
"R2, program the hyperdrive" Ahsoka ordered
R2 beeped as he was still plugged in and moved the socket. He asked where they should go
"Anywhere! Hurry!" Ahsoka yelled urgently
"You heard her, R2!" Kamron added "Quickly!"
"Enemy ship targeted, General" the battle droid informed
"Fire!" Grievous yelled
The droids charged up the ion cannon and fired it at the fleeing Twilight. As the Twilight continue to flee, the energy beam got closer. Kamron saw it through the scanner
"Uh. I'm picking up a strong energy beam heading straight for us!" he warned
"Master?" Ahsoka said as she heard this
Anakin continue to navigate the computer away from the the energy beam while maneuvering through the wreckage
"Anytime now, R2" Kamron said as he looked at the astromech
R2 beeps and whistles at him
"What do you mean don't rush you? We have an incoming energy beam getting closer to us by the minute!" he yelled
The Twilight continue to flee as the energy beam was getting even closer to them. R2 then moved through the socket and beeped in confirmation. The Twilight was then out of the debris
"We're clear" Ahsoka said
"Get us out of here, Master!" Kamron asked
Anakin pulled the switch and the Twilight disappeared into hyperspace. Grievous roared in anger at this
"Now the Republic will learn of our ion cannon!" he snarled to Dooku
Dooku just looked at him without saying anything. All the battle droids looked at the Sith Lord
"Your failure is most unfortunate. I will have to discuss this with my master" Dooku said as he left the bridge
Grievous growled at a battle droid which scares it
"Get back to work!" he yelled before storming off
"Roger roger!" a battle droid said
In the Republic fleet, the Twilight has just made it back to the Resolute. Anakin and Wolffe were walking down the exit ramp while Ahsoka and Kamron were checking on R2.
"Thanks for getting us out of there in one piece General Skywalker." Wolffe said
"You have my padawan and Kamron to thank for that" Anakin replied as he looked to them
Kamron and Ahsoka stood up and smiled
"They always said you guys will pull through" Anakin said
General Plo said someone would come for us. We're glad he was right" Wolffe said
"Skwalker, it is time to give our report to the Council" Plo told Anakin
"Right. The Council report" Anakin replied as he and Plo walked off
"Come on, Ahsoka. You as well, Kamron" Anakin called to them
"You want us there?" Kamron asked
"I figured because of before..." Ahsoka began before Anakin interrupted
"Ahsoka, through it all you never gave up" he said before looking at Kamron "Especially you Kamron when you reached out to the Force to find them. Obi Wan would be proud of you"
Kamron smiled
"You both did a great job" Anakin said "But if I get in trouble for this, you're both gonna share some of the blame.
"Very funny, Master" Kamron said
"So come on" Anakin said
"Right beside you, Master" Ahsoka said
"What she said" Kamron said as they begin to a room to give their report
