The scene starts with Luffy on the boat taking a nap when he heard something, "oh, wow! A whirlpool! ... And we're getting sucked into it." Mirio said casually.
"Wow, talk about a 1st day." Denki said and a few laughed while others worry.
So Luffy got into a barrel half full of food, later he gets picked up. It sounded like sailors in a passenger ship, then up on the crow's nest. They are alerted of pirates, alvida pirates.
"Alvida pirates?" Sen asked.
"It's a pirate crew who are scared of their own captain, you'll know why." Joanne answered.
The sailors dropped the barrel and fighting can be heard, later the barrel is picked up once again. He was moving it to the storage room when mirio hears a bunch of pirates bullying the cabin boy who has the barrel, "that's Coby, he's my 1st friend at sea." Luffy said.
"Friend? Is he a pirate?"
"No, he's a marine."
"But I thought you dislike marines."
"Some, but Coby's different. I helped him join the marines."
"Why?"
"Because it's his dream."
The pirates wanted what's inside the barrel, "You can't!" Coby cried out in fear, "Lady Alvida will kill us if she ever finds out!"
"She won't if you keep your trap shut." The pirate sneered at him, "Right, Coby?"
"Yeah, right."
"Wow, he was a coward. He seemed more different in shell town." Pony said.
'kinda reminds me of myself... sort of...' Izuku thought.
Then Luffy burst through the wood, smashing the lid to pieces. He also knocked out the same pirate who had been attempting to break open the barrel and he was out before he even hit the ground, "man, that was some nap!" Mirio laughs.
The straw hat kid yawned and stretched, he was very confused of where he is. "Who's that?"
"A pirate you knocked out." Ectoplasm said.
"Who the hell are you?"
"Who the hell are you?!" The pirates screamed at him.
"Your friend will catch a cold sleeping like that." He said rather casually and step out of the barrel.
"Is he not aware he knocked him out?" Power loader asked.
"Nope." Anita answered.
One of the pirates pointed a sword at Luffy's face as he demanded, "Hold up! Are you messing with us? Don't you know that we're vicious pirates!?"
Naturally, he ignores what they were saying as he turned to Coby. Who was staring at him in panic—like he thought that Luffy was going to eat him, "I'm starving, got any food?" he asked him.
Everyone sweatdrop, "always thinking about his stomach." Vlad sighed.
The pirates attacked him with their swords but the straw hat kid broke them, they were completely terrified. "Wh… who are you?" one croaked out, his eyes wide and sweat pouring down his face.
"Me? My name's Monkey D. Luffy." Luffy said happily as he crossed his arms and grinned. "Hi."
It was kinda funny, "he's so casual." Hound dog shake his head.
The 2 pirates screamed and dragged their unconscious friend away from there, Coby was cowering on his knees behind Luffy was now gawking up at him. As he peaked through his trembling fingers, "So ah… what just happened?" He stuttered, Luffy wasn't concerned or thinking about the situation much. "Quick, you gotta run! If those guys come back with their buddies then they'll kill you on the spot!"
"Luffy just took them out without breaking a sweat, I don't think he has anything to worry about." Hado smiled.
"Maybe it's because of alvida." Tamaki said.
"I don't care about that, I'm hungry." Luffy said still grinning, even as he was sniffing the air—much like how a dog would when he smelled food.
"How can you just blow this off like that!?" Coby continued to panic, now screaming. "There are hundreds of them up on deck and they're waiting for an excuse to kill anything!" Luffy ignored him as he headed towards the nearest door, Coby now attempting to hold him back as he grabbed hold of one of his arms. But Luffy kept going forward, not paying any attention as he went sniffing out for the source of the food. Nothing was going to stop him, even when Coby's head was slammed in the door.
"And of course, he found where the food is stored." Sir nighteye said.
Luffy began to eat and asked Coby if he's on a pirate ship or something, he quickly answers their on a passenger ship being raided by the alvida pirates. He wasn't too concerned of some pirate he's never heard of, he just needs a boat. He also explained how he's boat got sucked into a whirlpool, Coby is surprised he somehow survive. "So are you one of the pirates or one of the passengers." The straw hat kid asked, Coby suddenly flinched and looked down in shame as he explained that he had been Alvida's prisoner after he accidently mistaken a fishing boat and a pirate boat together. So in order to live, he had been forced to work as a cabin boy for the last two years. He said that the only reason he was still alive was because he did whatever they told him.
"Wait, how did he mistake a pirate ship for a fishing boat?" Momo asked.
"Fishing boats are early to rise, Coby entered when the sun wasn't up yet. It was still dark and he couldn't see very well, alvida's ship had their sails down. It was a mistake but Coby should have brought a lantern to see in the dark." Joanne explained.
"So that's how." Ochako said.
"Geez, you're pretty stupid, you know that right?" Luffy asked Coby bluntly once he had heard everything and finished stuffing his mouth.
"So blunt." Sero sighed.
"Geez, thanks for your honesty." Coby muttered as he lowered his head pitifully.
"If you hate it here then leave?" Luffy suggested, the pink coward is too scared to leave because of alvida. "So you're a moron and a coward!" He laughed, "I hate people like you!" The pink coward started to cry.
"Jeez, even deku wouldn't cry from that." Katsuki said.
"Huh, this kinda reminds me of how Ace said he hates cry babies. Ribbit." Tsuyu said.
Coby regained control and rubbed his swollen eyes as he muttered, "Hey, you're right Luffy… If I had the courage, I could drift alone in a barrel and be rid of this place. I actually have my own dreams! Someday… I'd like to live out all of them." mirio smiled, the pink coward stayed quiet for a few seconds before he finally looked up at Luffy and asked timidly. "So what about you, Luffy? What was it that got you to first set sail on these seas?"
"Well, I'm gonna be King of the pirates," Luffy said with a wide smile, this causes the boy's jaw to dropped in horror. He confirms that his a pirate, no crew yet. He still needs to find them. Coby is very, very surprised at Luffy's dream and how it is very impossible. He began to rant about it, so Luffy finally gave him a sharp punch to the top of his head, so that he did a face-plant on the floor.
"Thank you, it was getting annoying." Kyoka was covering her ears with the special earmuffs.
Coby moaned on the floor with his hands over his head, "Ow!" he whined, "Why did you hit me!?"
"Cause I felt like it." Luffy answered.
Everyone almost fell off their seats, "seriously? Didn't you get a little annoyed of his impossible ranting?" Kirishima questioned and sweatdrop.
But Coby is used to being smacked.
Katsuki flinched because it reminded him of how he treated Izuku.
Luffy gently put his hand on his hat as he explained, "It's not about if I can, I'm doing it 'cause I want to do it." Coby looked up at him as Luffy took the straw hat off and stared at it, he was thinking about shanks. "I decided long ago that I was going to be King of the Pirates." he said without any doubt or fear in his voice, "If I have to die fighting for that, then I die."
"Die trying, without regrets." Hawks said.
Coby declared he's dream is to become a marine and hunt down criminals, Luffy encourages him which made the boy feel excited. "I'll break out and then turn right around and catch Alvida myself!" He proclaimed loudly, quickly following Luffy… but almost as soon as he said that, the ceiling above them suddenly exploded.
"Who is that your planning on catching Coby?" Asked a feminine voice, "and you actually think this twig will help you?" The poor boy shrank back to the corner, very afraid. "Well? Answer me!" The dust cleared.
"That's one fat lady." Mirio said bluntly.
"It's impolite to call someone fat, it's sensitive to people." Recovery girl said.
"Who are you going to catch!?" Alvida demanded again harshly, holding up an enormous mace over her shoulders. She thought Luffy was the pirate hunter zoro but she was wrong, she glared back down at Coby. "Coby!" she barked and he jumped in terror, "who's the most beautiful of all on these seas?"
... "Isn't that title belong to madame moselle Boa Hancock?" Yuga asked.
"If it's for her than she needs a mirror." Mina said.
"What if the mirror breaks once it sees her? That world doesn't make sense so it fits why she thinks she is beautiful." Mezo said.
"She is also cruel." Koda signed.
"Hey Coby, who's the fat lady?" Luffy asked bluntly as he pointed at Alvida, there was stunned silence for a fraction of a moment. Coby and Alvida were both gapping at him, as the pirates who were sticking their heads down through the hole were staring at him in shock.
Mirio is laughing and rolling on the floor, "i-i-i'm sorry! B-but that was too f-funny!"
Half the audience roared in laughter, "I know that was mean but it's true and funny!" Fatgum laughed.
Alvida is in rage, she brought her mace swinging down at Luffy. Who easily jumped up and landed light as a feather next to Coby once Alvida smashed the floor where he had been standing a moment before… the attack sending the shrapnel everywhere, "Let's go!" Luffy said excitedly as he grabbed Coby's arm, and together, they went flying through the hole, Coby clinging to Luffy in terror.
They jumped up in time to arrive on a large deck with Luffy already fighting the entire crew; who was jumping around and smacking them all like they were rag dolls. He got to show off his powers too, Coby staggered to his feet and took a few shaky steps towards Luffy. Staring at him with his jaw wide open, "Luffy… what are you?"
He answered by grabbing a hold of his cheeks and stretched it out, "I'm a rubber man." He was still confused until alvida arrived and knew Luffy is a devil fruit user, she only heard rumors of these mysterious fruits. She questions Luffy's occupation which he proudly replies his a pirate, who just started.
Alvida only laughed again as she demanded, "Tell me, if we're both pirates and we're not under the same flag… then that makes us enemies am I right?"
"Luffy? Let's go." Coby whispered in fear, trying to get his attention.
"But why?" Luffy asked in confusion.
"Coby needs to get it together! Stand up for yourself and tell alvida how you really feel!" Toru said.
"I mean, he has his limits against her." Mashirou said.
"You saw how powerful her club is, and of all the villainous cheats in all these waters she's easily the most…" Coby suddenly stopped himself in mid-sentence, he stared long and hard at Luffy.
"Go on, tell me?" Alvida asked with a wide grin on her face.
Coby was shaking, his teeth were grinding together as he fought to find the right words. Finally, he looked Alvida straight in the eyes and yelled out, "You're the most… ugliest thing on the seas!"
Everyone cheered for Coby, "that's how you do it! Go Coby!" Setsuna cheered.
"He finally mustered his courage." Tokoyami said.
"Now he has to make a run for it, that lady doesn't take well with insults." Dark shadow said.
Luffy and mirio are laughing in the background, "What did you say!?" Alvida demanded, and though it was clear that Coby was terrified, he didn't back down—even with tears burning his eyes.
"I'm leaving and I'm gonna join the Marines!" he yelled up at her, his courage rushing forward like how it did before when he talked to Luffy. "Then I'm gonna spend the rest of my life beating up dirty pirates like you!"
"Do you have any clue to what you're saying to me right now?" she bellowed at him.
"Of course I do and I'm gonna do what I want and no one's gonna stop me! And when I join the Marines I'll join them!" He said loudly, before finally screaming out. "And I'm gonna capture your lousy ass first!"
"And there's all that pent up rage." Monoma said.
Alvida lost it completely as she held her mace high, screaming out that he was dead. Coby froze, and was screaming just as Luffy stopped laughing, but the smile never faded. "Well said!" He told him, moving to stand in front as he took the full blunt of the weapon. Blunt objects cannot harm a rubber man, he pulled back his arm back, sending it back as far as it would stretch so that it left the ship and was already over the ocean. "Gum Gum… PISTOL!" he screamed, bringing it back—and like that—Alvida was sent flying off as he punched her to the gut.
"And there she goes, I hope they don't encounter her again." Shoda said but joanne and her friends knew better.
The former pirate crew gawk at Luffy, who ordered them to get a boat. He and Coby are leaving, not too far a marine ship showed up.
"They're kind of too late, Luffy took care of it." All might said.
"Why doesn't Coby sign up on that ship?" Denki asked.
That was Luffy and mirio's question, but Coby explained even if he became a pirate against his will, he can't enlist until he proves his not one.
"So it's like ex convicts trying to look for work, I heard it's very difficult for them." Jozu said.
"And your right, it is." Nezu said.
"So Luffy." Coby asked, suddenly turning his attention back to him. "If you're searching for the elusive One Piece, then that would mean you're heading to the Grand Line. The guys I've talked to all call that place the pirate graveyard."
"Right, and that's why I need an extra strong crew." Straw hat said firmly, thinking to himself. Then he remembered the pirate hunter that was mentioned.
"Oh, you mean Zoro? Last I heard he was being held prisoner at some Marine base."
"Back in zoro's memories, he was being held prison because of both captain morgan and helmeppo." Izuku reviewed his notes.
"He did it to protect those people." Rin grumble, he has a strong dislike for those miss using authority.
Luffy sighed, "Oh, well. Weakling huh?"
Almost everyone had to hold katsuki back, "I dare you to say that again you fucking idiot!!" He shouted in rage.
But Coby described him as a violent as a demon and three times as horrifying.
... "Well, alternate Bakugo is going to shit the pants of all the villains." Present Mic said.
"True." Many heroes agreed.
Coby blinked as if realizing what Luffy just said and asked carefully, "Why are you asking about him anyway?"
Luffy only grinned back as he answered, "I figure if he's good enough I'll ask him to join my crew!"
This made the boy dropped his jaw and he froze up, "Chasing him down is just plan reckless!" He yelled at him.
"You never know he might jump at the chance to join!" Straw hat said optimistically.
"But didn't he blackmail him to join?" Tetsutetsu asked.
"That's how Luffy rolls, he just casually asks them." Joanne answered.
"He's a bad enough guy that the Marines caught him!" Coby shouted out and began to shout out how impossible it would be, much like before, and once again it ended the same way. "OW! Why'd you hit me?" he complained, eyes watering in pain.
"Cause I felt like it!" Luffy answered bluntly.
"You don't know the whole story Coby." Awase said.
The 2 reached shell town and looked around for a bit, the mention of zoro made the folks jump back in fear. But the mention of captain morgan made the whole citizens scared out of their wits, "something's not right..." Mirio's eyes narrowed.
Everyone remembered in zoro's memories of why he allowed himself to be tied up in the 1st place, "I know zoro isn't a hero, but he is very honorable." Kamakiri said with respect.
Luffy laughs this off, "That was odd, I mean I get that they're scared of Zoro. But why'd they flip when I mentioned the marine captain's name?" Coby asked, now looking completely lost. "I don't know I've got a bad feeling about this."
"Your not the only one." Mirio said, the scene changes to the front of the shell town marine base. Luffy immediately went to a wall to look for zoro, Coby doubts they would leave a prisoner out in the open. He was wrong, the blonde watched the scene unfold. How rika came to see zoro and wanted him to try her rice balls, then helmeppo came and ruined them because they have sugar in them. He growled at the stupid post they made, he is very grateful Luffy caught rika when she was thrown out.
The audience were actually glad, "I know luffy is not a hero, but he does some good." Bondo said.
After helmeppo and his marine entourage left, Luffy spoke with zoro. Mirio smiled at zoro eating the dirty rice ball, "he is a good person, but what made him get this punishment?"
"Believe me, you'd hate this marine." Pony pouted.
"I still don't like him."
The scene changes to the restaurant rika's mother owns, the little girl explained why zoro is punished. "It's been three weeks since that day, Helmeppo keeps punching and kicking him while he's been tied up." Rika said, sounding upset. "He's being so unfair!" That was when she started to cry, "I don't know… I don't know how to help him."
"I see why you're upset." Coby whispered, he looked a little upset.
"I guess I'd feel the same way if I found out my hero isn't a real hero." Mirio said.
"Lying to be a hero, crushes the dreams of others. They'll be afraid of becoming that hero." Hound dog growled.
Then helmeppo comes in the restaurant demanding free food, he starts to laugh as they poured him some wine. Turning the attention back on him, "I've sure been thinking about something interesting to do since I've been bored out of my skull here." he told them all, and that was when he dropped the bombshell. "I've decided to execute Zoro tomorrow. Look forward to it everyone." This pissed mirio off.
"And this is how Coby knew." Yui said.
Both Luffy's and mirio's eyes turned dangerous, he punched helmeppo so hard that he was sent flying across the room and smacked against the wall. The spoiled brat over reacted on getting punched.
"So your daddy is the big bad marine, Luffy's grandfather is the marine hero! You don't see him flaunting his heritage!" Manga shouted.
"I've made up my mind." Luffy said as his eyes hardened, fierce determination now burning. "Today Zoro will join my crew!"
Katsuki and mirio smiled a little.
Luffy charged towards the marine base, Coby and rika are worried for him. He turns back and glares at Coby, "Is this the kind of Marines you want to join Coby?" he asked him, "Because if not, then you can either sit back and take it… or stand up to them!"
"The marines are scared or corrupted." Aizawa said.
The scene changes to Luffy and stretching to partially destroy a statue, this made morgan angry. He spotted helmeppo and took him as a hostage to look for zoro's swords, turns out he kept the swords in his room.
"It's so gaudy." Mina said unimpressed.
"Why does he have make up?" Manga asked.
"I don't think we want to know." Shihai answered.
He found them, helmeppo was unconscious.
"Pussy." Katsuki insulted.
"Oh no! Coby and Zoro need our help!" Mirio exclaimed and Luffy jumped down, skip battle. "Heh, I guess they're glad to finally be free." He watched the marines celebrate morgan's defeat, then they ate. Before they left, Luffy helped Coby join the marines. "Why not call your grandpa? I bet he'd like Coby."
"Ha! I bet he will but he'll drag me and forced me to join the marines." The pirate king laughed.
The blonde chuckled, "yeah, your right."
Almost everyone sweatdrop, "well he's not wrong." Gran torino said.
As the new pirates leave, mirio smiles at Coby knowing he'll become a great marine. Maybe a marine hero.
Unknown to them, joanne smiled.
The scene starts with Luffy getting his idiot self trapped by a bird.
"IDIOT!" Many shouted.
Luffy got dropped into orange town, "Oh, hey Boss, thanks for coming to save me!" nami clasped her hands together in excitement.
Apparently she is running away from pirates, "did she just ditch her problem to us?" Mirio asked.
"It's ok, she joined the crew as our navigator." Luffy said and his past self beat up the pirates.
"Why did she do that?" Sero asked.
"She stole a map." Vivi answered.
Nami wasn't far and was very impressed, she asked if they want to team up. But Luffy refuses and his very hungry, so she lead him to a house and fix him some sandwiches. She doesn't live there, "Everyone's left this town because of Captain Buggy."
"Huh? Left the town?" Mirio asked.
"They went somewhere safe to hide." Luffy translated.
"You mean evacuate." Aizawa said.
"Oh, that's good. No one got hurt but..." Kirishima remembered from zoro's memories what Luffy did for the town, "some houses were destroyed and Luffy left some of the treasure to rebuild... That's so manly!"
"Yeah!" Tetsutetsu agrees.
"Oh, so you're just a petty thief." Luffy summed up for them all.
"Not petty, dedicated." Ochako said remembering why nami steals.
"How rude." Nami huffed at him, "I only steal from people who deserve it! Pirates! So don't compare me to some scumbag, petty thief."
"A thief's a thief as far as I'm concerned." Luffy said after he managed a big swallow of bread.
"But with this chart Grand Line, the one-hundred million is definitely a possibility." She explained and tucked the chart safely under her shirt.
"Wait, nami was planning to go to the grand line and steal from there?" Momo asked, "she does know it's suicidal, the place is not normal and a normal compass can't help."
"They didn't do a thorough homework on the grand line, they just got supplies and head on over there." Joanne answered.
"That explains a lot..." Denki said.
"A chart?" Luffy then looked up at Nami and asked, "So you must be a navigator?"
She gave him a proud smile and said, with no hints of humility. "I'm the most skilled navigator you're ever likely to meet."
"Oh, wow! That's perfect, then how about you join my crew?" He asked eagerly, "I've been looking to recruit a navigator!"
Her eyes lit up in excitement, "Really?"
"Sure! You can be the navigator for our pirate crew!" That's when her expression turned sour and down right refused very harshly.
"Ok, I'm sensing some tension here." Midnight said.
"Remember nami's past, wherever she goes to steal treasure. She'll always hate pirates." Kimiko said.
Nami sighed, "I didn't realize you were a pirate." she said darkly.
"Yeah, I made an important promise." Luffy said as he took off his hat and stared at it fondly, "I promised the guy who gave me this hat that I'd form a crew and become the greatest pirate ever."
"Yeah, I see that now." She muttered to herself as her past self slammed her hands on the table angrily, "There's nothing in the world that I despise more than pirates!" she almost screamed at him, "I only love money and tangerines!"
Everyone remembered where she's from after all.
Luffy began to whine like a child wanting her to join, but she still refused. So he gave up, "huh, I thought you really wanted her to join?" Mirio asks.
"I wanted to prove to her not all pirates are evil." He said, the orange head had a sly look. She will consider joining but there are certain conditions.
"Why do I get the feeling this was how Luffy got trapped in a cage?" Sato sweatdrop.
Nami tied up Luffy and present him to buggy the clown, she acted to join his crew which he gladly welcomed her as the straw hat is trapped in a cage. To this guy's entertainment, he fired his famous buggy balls to blast and destroy a lot of houses, "he's using this place as a target practice, I'm glad the folks left to a safe area." Mirio sighed in relief but still angry at how this big nose finds this entertaining.
The audience are furious at buggy's enjoyment to cause collateral damage.
Buggy invented these canons in order to conquer the grand line.
... "Measly canons aren't going to help, what if he fights Garp?" Toru asked, many are disappointed at this idiot.
"But it's my destiny to conquer the Grand Line!" Luffy declared, they all stared at him. "And then I'm gonna become King of the Pirates." nami wanted him to shut up, buggy can see the girl finds him annoying.
"Yeah!" Many agreed and cheered for Luffy.
The clown pirate had this idea for nami to fire a canon at the straw hat but she's hesitating.
"Whoa, he's so chill." Kyoka said.
"Huh? So now you've decided to save me?" Luffy questioned behind her in confusion.
"Don't be so stupid!" Nami yelled at him as she looked back at him for a moment.l, "I'm not doing this for you, you idiot!" she screamed, holding her staff up, finally ready to fight. "I just don't wanna lower myself to these inhuman pirates!"
"Ok, thanks anyway." He said lightly, clearly not bothered.
"Pirates took the life of a person very dear to me! I'll never be one of them!"
Everyone remembered nami's past and sympathize.
But the canon's fuse is lit and burning fast, nami had to defend herself against the buggy pirates. She tried to grabbed the fuse but got burned, zoro arrived just in time, he shouldn't have let his guard down. Luffy insulted buggy for harming his 1st mate, the swordsman use their canon and aimed at them. All 3 escaped with the swordsman carrying Luffy in the cage, they got separated from nami and are far enough. Luffy started to mess with chouchou, "Luffy, it's obvious the little guy might be hiding something." Mirio said then screamed because the dog bit his face.
Everyone either sweatdrop or muttered, "idiot."
"He should really stopped doing that to animals..." Koda knows animals hate being poked for no apparent reason.
Nami arrived with the key, until chouchou ate it. Luffy choked the dog until the mayor arrived. He helped put zoro in a house to recover from his injuries, "I told him he really should see a doctor." he said with a shrug, "But he insisted that he didn't need to and just wanted to sleep it off."
"SLEEP IT OFF!?" Recovery girl looked furious at katsuki who gulped.
"At least we'll watch what happened while zoro rested." Hado smiled.
The 2 teens questioned the dog and why is he guarding a pet food shop. "That's right,l." the mayor answered, "And the man who used to run this shop was a very close friend of mine." As he got a bowl of food for ChouChou, he told them all about how close the dog had been with his owner, and how that same owner died about 3 months before from an illness. In surprise, Nami asked him if he had been waiting here all this time for his owner to come back. How the mayor agreed that seemed to be the most reasonable answer, "But I find that very hard to believe." He added as he puffed on a pipe, gazing at the dog as he continued to eat. "ChouChou's a smart dog, he's probably known for awhile that his master's isn't coming back."
The orange head looked confused as she asked, "Then why does he stay here at the store?"
"I guess because he's got a connection to it." He answered simply, a hint of sadness in his tone. "It's his… treasure. He's guarding it, his master left him with this shop and that's why he protects it. I've tried to take him back to my place so that he's not out in the elements but he won't take so much as a step away from it."
This moved the audience heart, "it's like that story of hachiko, the loyal dog who waited for his master at the train station." Ochako started to cry and others followed.
"What a good dog!" Komori smiled.
"They do say a dog is a man's best friend!" Present Mic said.
'but what about cats?' aizawa thought petting goose.
Then a roar was heard, mohji the beast tamer. The mayor dragged nami away to hide, leaving Luffy in the cage, "that's a beast tamer? And what's with the funny looking hat?" Mirio asked, that is not a hat. "That is not impressive at all."
Even the audience aren't impress, koda noticed something. 'that lion is hungry!' he thought and mentally gulped.
This so called beast tamer wanted to prove his the real deal, he got off his lion and tried to get chouchou to shake... which caused the dog to bit his arm and he screamed in pain, trying to throw the dog off.
"Ladies and gentlemen, your so called beast tamer... You may now demand refunds." Setsuna sighed, koda felt disappointed in this guy.
The so called beast tamer is there for zoro but Luffy refuses to tell him where he is, so richie the lion attacks the cage and frees Luffy in the process. But the lion slammed his paw at him, sending him flying and smashing into a house, shattering it to pieces. "I guess we don't need that key anymore." Mirio chuckles, completely brushing off the pain.
Everyone sweatdrop, 'it's a good thing Luffy ate the gum gum fruit, that isn't painful.' sir nighteye thought.
Both nami and the mayor are surprised Luffy survived that, "Just got lucky I guess?"
"Surviving an attack like that isn't normal, I figured you'd be scattered all over." Nami pointed out.
"Not normal?"
"Oh! Nami doesn't know your a devil fruit user." Mirio said, they went back to get zoro but found something that made the blonde rage.
Everyone's eyes widen, "those- those monsters!!!" Koda stood up in rage watching poor chouchou cry at the pet food shop getting burned, he noticed the little dog has bloody fur and scratches. 'he did everything to try and stop him from burning the store, he's a good dog.' he thought.
"That beast tamer! Why I outta pummel him till he begs for mercy!" Sato growled.
"Just because he couldn't tame chouchou, he resorted to destroying his treasure! The nerve!" Momo growls.
"I'm going to bite his head off, no one does that to a very loyal dog." Hound dog is down right pissed off and clenching his hands.
Luffy went to look for the so called beast tamer and his lion, he is surprised Luffy is still alive. "I'm afraid you can't get rid of me that easily." he informed him, "I'm not going to be beaten by a lion," he proclaimed and use gum gum hammer to lift the attacking lion in the air and slammed him in the ground.
'i know I should feel pity for the lion but some of the animals in that world are a lot smarter than they let on.' koda thought.
Mohji seems to fear devil fruit users, he beg for mercy but Luffy isn't having it, "There's no reason for you apologize to me. Because of you, that dog will never get his treasure back." He said coldly as he finally stood up, there was no mercy in his expression as he looked back at him. "And now… because of that… I'm gonna kick your ass." And before Mohji could even move, Luffy stretched his arm out to grab him by the front of his shirt and dragged him over… Mohji's feet dragging along the ground the whole time, before Luffy delivered a single punch and left him on the ground. He and mirio glared down at him and the lion with disgust before he went over to the box of pet food that the lion dropped before and started to head back to the burning store.
"This is why we need to be considerate on collateral damage, some places are either historical or worth a lot of money you can't pay back. But some are valued because of the person's sheer hard work." Aizawa lectured.
"So pls be considerate and try not to cause collateral damage." Cementoss said.
"Pirates are all the same." Nami said softly, but with anger in her tone as well, "They're all just a bunch of heartless bastards, they destroy everything that people hold dear without giving it a second thought." As Luffy came near, she looked up at him and said, almost mockingly. "Oh, you're alive, pirate. You know, I thought for sure that lion was gonna tear your head off and end it all." The dark smile that had been on her face disappeared to be replaced with hatred as she shouted out, "And I wished he had because then there'd be one less pirate in the world!"
Almost everyone winced, this reminds the heroes of civilians who are victims of villains. Their hate is immense.
She ran to him, screaming out. "Maybe I should kill you right now before you can gather a crew and destroy everything else!" The mayor tried to calm her down.
Luffy walked pass her, heading straight to chouchou. "As if you could kill me."
"Well, maybe I'll try it and see!" She screamed at him.
He gemtly put the box of pet food in front of the dog, this made nami and the mayor freeze in place. He walked around and sit beside the dog, "sorry, but that's all I could save." He said and looked at the remains of the shop, "that bastard lion ate all the rest."
"Huh,. But pet food isn't for wild animals, even the tamed ones." Koda said.
"Mohji always forgets to feed ritchie, the poor lion is always hungry and the stupid beast tamer doesn't even know." Joanne explained making the silent boy angry.
ChouChou didn't move a muscle, much like before when they first saw the dog, but he was staring at the box of food. He merely picked the box up and started to walk away from the shop, no longer having a reason to stay here. But then he turned his head and barked at him happily.
Koda smiled, "he said, I owe you and good luck." This made them smile.
Luffy smiled at ChouChou and, like he understood what he just said as well, called back. "Thanks! Good luck to you too, doggy." ChouChou barked a couple more time before picking up his food again and leave.
Nami stood there silent for a moment, "sorry about earlier..." She said with regret in her tone, "for thinking... you were like them."
But the straw hat didn't look angry, he merely looked up with a smile and said calmly
"That's ok, you've been under a lot of stress lately." The mayor was moved but Luffy's display, he wants to stop buggy himself for ruining the town.
'so that's the reason they had to knock him out...' some thought.
They suddenly remembered zoro was sleeping in 1 of the destroyed houses, he's still alive. "Wow, he could sleep through a storm!" Mirio joked.
Almost everyone sighed heavily.
The gang rescued him just in time, Luffy insulted buggy and got attacked. He had to explain to nami he is a devil fruit user, but buggy survive by using his own men as shields.
This made the audience angry, but they shouldn't be surprised since this is buggy they are talking about.
While zoro fights Cabaji, buggy notices Luffy's hat. They fight and the clown pirate damaged Shank's hat and mocks him, "hey! Don't mock him! You don't even know him!" Mirio shouted.
"Shanks is a much better man than you'll ever be! You don't have the right to call him comrade!" Luffy bellowed charging ahead, "And don't you ever badmouth him again!" In his rage, he finally dealt a painful blow in Buggy's stomach.
"Yeah! That's The way to do it! Shanks is manly!" Tetsutetsu said and kirishima agrees with him.
Buggy then lamented his tale on how shanks ruined his life...
... "He's a fucking idiot..." Katsuki's eye twitch.
"So how is this all shanks fault? He didn't forced him to eat the devil fruit by surprise and saved his life over a map." Sero said.
"We all agree buggy is a greedy bastard." Mezo said.
"Greedy and petty." Monoma said, understanding that this pirate is a coward and stupid.
"Wow… so are you telling me that Shanks saved your life?" Luffy asked when he realized that Shanks jumped in after him.
"NO!" Buggy screamed at him, "That's not the point I'm trying to get across!"
"All I hear is you being stupid and shanks saving your sorry butt, plus wouldn't he's crew understand and let him be with that map?" Mirio is starting to get annoyed by this clown pirate who keeps blaming shanks for his suffering.
"Maybe you should look in the mirror." Midnight is getting irritated.
The clown pirate spotted Nami trying to make off with a large sack of treasure that she obviously stole from him, Buggy launched his top half at her with knives ready. When Luffy kicked him in the family jewels.
Low blow but he deserves it, "that's what you get!" Setsuna mocked, she hates that her quirk and buggy's devil fruit power is somewhat similar to hers.
With Buggy on the ground in pure agony, Luffy warned Nami to drop the treasure and run, which she refused. When she claimed the treasure was now hers, Buggy grew mad but Nami refused to listen to anything he had to say. Furious, Buggy got back up and went after her again, this time when his body had flung apart into dozens of pieces. that's when he spotted the feet and tickled him at 1st before slamming his toes onto the ground… until Buggy finally couldn't ignore it anymore and screamed at him to stop. With him distracted, Nami swung the bag of treasure around in an attempt to attack Buggy, but he ended up grabbing the treasure bag. Neither one of the pair was letting go so it became a sort of game of tug-of-war. Buggy attempted to strike Nami with the knives, however Luffy once again reminded him who he was supposed to be fighting as he came out of nowhere, and took him out with a kick… knocking him into the bag of treasure, ripping the bag, scattering its contents everywhere.
Everyone sweatdrop, 'their like children...' many thought, sir nighteye was getting worried for alternate mirio's mental health.
When Buggy woke up and tried to reform himself; however Nami has already tied up several body parts and Buggy was left with just bits of his body. With Buggy clearly defeated he was launched into the air by Luffy sent him flying far away with his Gum Gum Bazooka… ending the battle once and for all. "And good riddance..." Mirio stares at the hat sadly, nami offered to fix the hat and the map to the grand line. They went over to the injured zoro and that's when the townsfolk arrived.
"And this is the start of Luffy's crew." Izuku said excited, he finished adding the other details about buggy.
Later, nami discuss how they can't get to the grand line like this. To Luffy, they need a lot of meat. "Are you sure Luffy? These boats may not survive it." Mirio chuckled.
"Well, we definitely will sink. I guess I was hungry at that time." Luffy said.
Everyone sweatdrop.
Nami yelled at the 2 knuckleheads, she meant crew and equipment. "Yep, we'll need a cook and maybe a musician to keep us entertained!"
"Musician?" Zoro questioned before laughing, thankfully there's an island they can dock. Gecko island, nami is surrounded by idiots but mirio just laughs.
Most of the audience face palm.
Once docked at the north of the island, mirio watched as the great Usopp introduces himself and lie. When Usopp readying his slingshot, Luffy use the same line as Shanks. The liar knows he's dad is part of the red head pirates, he looked sad but led the small group to a restaurant. Mirio watched the interaction until Usopp left, the Usopp pirates arrived and the blonde laugh at the mean joke zoro pulled.
"That was very childish." Ibara huffed.
"Remember, their the kind who have no ill intentions. Their just joking, even if it is mean." Kendo assures her.
Mirio watched the group go to the mansion and meet the butler, "I don't know why, but I don't like this guy."
"Good instincts." Aizawa said.
Luffy went looking for Usopp, he spotted him sitting up on a high cliff that overlooked the sea. He was a little angry but the 2 talked about Usopp's father.
"I'm actually surprised Usopp isn't angry at his father." Power loader said.
"He actually is." Joanne answered and everyone looked at her, "Yasopp didn't want to endanger his family, but he truly regretted not visiting them. Shanks has been encouraging him to visit his family but the sniper is kinda paranoid, I guess this is where Usopp got his worried possibility state."
Then Luffy pointed out Kuro down the cliff at the shoreline with a man wearing strange clothes and red-lensed heart-shaped glasses, both boys listened in about a plan to murder the mansion owner is ready.
"And this is how they both know but how did Luffy got down the cliff?" Tamaki asked.
Kuro asked Jango to not mention the word "murder" and to stop calling him Captain Kuro, Jango laughed loudly at that as he told the story of how it was believed that Kuro was executed by the marines 3 years ago. But he managed to fake his own death and somehow found his way into Kaya's family, eventually becoming the ill girl's most trusted servant who was also beloved by the village. And now he was having the Black Cat Pirates attack the village and kill everyone…
Jango also found it amusing his former Captain declared he was bored with a pirate's life, faked his death, and secretly settled in the village. But he understood now that it had been planning this for all that time. According to Kuro, all Jango has to do is hypnotize Kaya to sign a will so he rightfully owns the mansion because 'Klahadore' is not a member of the family and therefore cannot inherit her fortune otherwise. Once the task is done he must then kill her so that everyone thought she will killed during the pirate attack. Jango mocked his former Captain, stating that if it was him, he would just invade the mansion and takes the riches without the trouble. However Kuro reminded him that would make him a pirate again. Jango mocked him once again for asking for a peaceful life when he plans to kill everyone to get Kaya's money, but Kuro states he did not expect some things like Kaya's parents death as they died unexpectedly in an accident.
"Really?" Yuga is skeptical.
"Yes, he did not plan for the parent's death, it was just an accident he sees as a good fortune." Joanne explained.
"What are they talking about?" Luffy asked, clipping his sandals together. "Is it bad guy stuff?"
"Definitely, a hero has to stop them. But you guys need her help to get a ship." Mirio said.
"What?" Usopp hissed at Luffy, "Weren't you listening to any of that? Those guys aren't just bad they're evil!" He then told him what he knew about Kuro.
Luffy understood, stood up and did something very stupid. "HEY BAD GUYS! YOU BETTER STAY AWAY FROM THAT GIRL!"
Mirio punches him, "ARE YOU STUPID!? THAT MAKES THE SITUATION WORSE! YOU DON'T CALL OUT THEY KNOW THEY'RE PLAN! AND DON'T FORGET THE BUTLER HAS EARNED THE TRUST IF EVERYONE IN THE TOWN! THEY WON'T EVER BELIEVE US!!!"
"Thank you mirio, at least that's something you didn't forget..." Sir nighteye sighed, while everyone else face palm or groaned at the situation.
While Usopp was horrified at what Luffy did and tried to pull him down before he was seen, it was already too late. Kuro and Jango spotted the pair up on the cliff. All of a sudden, Jango held up his ring. "Pay attention boys!" he called, "And watch this ring closely," he began to swing it back and forth as Usopp turned and hid, thinking it was some kind of dangerous weapon… but Luffy was staring at it transfixed.
This caught their attention and remembered how he use this to put the boys into a hypnotize sleep, including himself.
"By the count of Jango… you'll be in a deep sleep! One… Two… JANGO!" and everything went black.
"Luffy must've fell from the cliff and slept there, Usopp does not know he's a devil fruit user. And neither does Kuro and Jango." Sero said.
"They should have regroup with the others and prepared for the pirates, they don't have any proof Kuro is a pirate. So the boys should keep an eye on kaya while the pirates and Usopp deal with the pirates coming, but since Luffy is very stupid he just acts." Diamond sighs.
Later, Luffy woke up to see nami, zoro and the 3 boys who were looking for him. "I wanted to talk to Usopp." he replied brightly before he blinked, "Oh right… the village is gonna be attacked by pirates tomorrow."
"That's a blunt way to say it..." Rin sweatdrop.
"WHAT?" the 3 boys yelled, "PIRATES ARE GONNA ATTACK THE VILLAGE? AND THEY'RE GONNA KILL KAYA?"
"Yep." Luffy answered coolly, putting his hat back on. "That's what they said, no question about it."
"You don't seem concerned." Mirio said.
"Well I don't know these people, but Usopp is my friend. So if he asks for help, I'll help him save his town."
The 3 boys continued to look horrified as Zoro asked what made Luffy sleep down here. Luffy looked up and laughed. "That's the thing! I don't remember going to sleep or getting down here at all!" As the boys talked about Usopp going to warn the villagers, Nami sighed in relief, stating that the pirates won't be able to hurt anyone because they'll be long gone by tomorrow.
"Nope, Usopp did more than he can chew with his on going everyday pirates are here shouts. He usually does this once a day in the morning, he used to do it a lot as a child to give his mother hope. But he's known as a notorious liar, and Kuro earned everyone's trust so their gaurd is down." Diamond sighed.
Usopp came back to them holding his arm as if in pain, he was surprised Luffy is alive and they are all informed about the pirates coming. The liar started to laugh and said he made it all up, the boys are disappointed and decided to leave. That's when the other 3 noticed the injured arm, as nami tended to it, he explained how this happened. "When lying becomes a habit too much, it comes back to bite you." Mirio sighed, so Usopp will make sure the next day is just another day and stop the pirate attack. Luffy and friends will help, they came up with a plan to delay the pirates and beat them.
"Except the beach looks exactly like the one on the north and it's where they are going to attack." Shoda said with a deadpan expression.
Later at night... They waited... And waited... "Huh, this shore looks exactly like the one at the north where we docked." Mirio said.
"Yup." Luffy agreed.
"How long did it took you guys to realize that?"
"Until we heard some noise."
Face palm.
They realized the similar shore up north and they panicked and quickly head over there, Luffy is faster and followed Usopp's instructions to head north... He got lost with zoro.
"Well, at least they somehow got there..." Izuku sighed.
"Shut the fuck up, moss head!" Katsuki shouted.
"Will mirio inherit he's navigational problem?" Sir nighteye asked.
"No, thankfully he doesn't." Joanne reassures him.
So they followed the noise and got there to find nami and an injured Usopp, they started arguing.
Everyone remembers this.
"We should start fighting... Now." Mirio said, then Jango use hypnosis and made the pirates stronger... Luffy and mirio included.
"Uh... He's acting like that hulk guy in hibiki's introduction." Kirishima pointed out.
Then Jango use hypnosis on him and he fell asleep.
"Oh yeah, while he was out. The others had to deal with those unmanly cats and Kuro." Tetsutetsu said.
"NAMI!" he yelled, "YOU CANNOT JUST GO AROUND STEPPING ON PEOPLE'S FAC…" but he didn't finish that sentence for the blade missed Nami and went right into Luffy's face, and caught it with his teeth. He bit down and it shattered, but also cut his tongue a little. But nami is also injured, she was more concern about her treasure. Luffy will take care of it, mirio listened as kaya arrived and Kuro talked to her. He is very disgusted by this man, he had his cat claw gloves ready. But his attempts were stopped by Luffy who hit him from the bottom of the slope with his Gum Gum Pistol, sending him to the ground. Luffy then swore that Kuro was in for a bad day if he hated getting hit.
Then the Usopp pirates arrived, "no! They will get themselves killed!" Mirio shouted, then Usopp gives the boys a task to protect kaya. Mirio looked relived, Kuro's attention was now back on Luffy as he asked if he has eaten a Devil Fruit which Luffy admitted. This news frightens the Black Cat Pirates even more and looked ready to run until Kuro ordered Jango to take care of Kaya and the Usopp Pirates while he dealt with Luffy. zoro still has a fight to finish, Luffy had slowly been walking up the hill, towards Kuro, as Usopp tried to get back up to go after Jango. He managed to get up a little before they all heard a noise coming from the forest. In rage, Usopp demanded to know if Kuro had any pity at all for Kaya… but what the butler said next got them all steamed. Kuro came right out and admitted to him that him he had none—saying that Kaya had never been anything more than a pawn to his plan and he'll express gratitude once she's dead.
Everyone growled and hated this man.
Luffy told Usopp to go after kaya, despite his injuries. The liar wants to protect his friend, Kuro kept mocking him. "I don't care," he croaked out from where he lay, "I don't care if I'm weak! I'll protect them! I'm Captain of the Usopp Pirates," he declared, "A brave warrior of the sea who fights for what he holds dear! I will protect everyone in the village even if it kills me!" his voice got stronger and he screamed out with as much strength he could muster, "ON MY WORD! YOU WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN THIS VILLAGE!"
"Manly!!!" Both kirishima and tetsutetsu are inspired by Usopp's dedication.
The Black Cat Pirates were all laughing at Usopp's vow, but that ticked Luffy off. Grabbing a boulder he threw it at them. "What's so funny?" he and mirio demanded, standing on top of it and glaring down at them all with a wild look in his eyes that made them all shut up at once. Zoro and Usopp will go after the Jango, and attacked Kuro.
The former black cat pirate captain reappeared and suddenly demanded, "Before I kill you, I feel compelled to ask… what is an outsider like you butting into this village's business for?"
Luffy smirked. "Because there's a man in this village I don't wanna let die."
"Ummm... Doesn't he mean; I don't want him to die?" Pony asked confused, many just shrugged because this is Luffy.
Kuro laughed, asking if Luffy was alright with that for being the reason he died. "Sure am." He answered confidently, "But I'm not gonna die!" The battle continued, the black cat pirates started for their captain. Who seems to hate it.
"What the fuck is wrong with him?" Katsuki scowled.
"If I remember correctly, the plan is to legally own Kaya's inheritance." Midnight said.
"He must be planning to retire permanently, he seems to dislike pirates all together." Cementoss said.
"So it ain't an act." Snipe said remembering in zoro's memories of the butler insulting pirates.
Kuro was more than happy to explain how tired he was of devising plans for a band of men who cared only about mayhem and how sick he was to be relentlessly pursued by bounty hunters and government dogs, how he was sick and tired of that life…
"What did you expect!? You became a pirate because you are greedy! It's what you practically signed up for, becoming a pirate to break the law and do whatever you want. At least there are some pirates who don't hurt innocent people." Gran torino ranted.
"He should have known the consequences and risks, but the only thing he's doing is complain." Snipe said.
"Do you understand now boy?" Kuro demanded, "I will not allow this perfect plan, years in the making, to fail!" he held his claws out and runs forward to attack, "MY PLAN WILL NOT BE DISRUPTED BY AN URCHIN LIKE YOU!"
"Who you calling an urchin you weak excuse of a pirate!" Mirio shouted.
"Yeah!" Most of the audience cheered.
Luffy had already stretched his arms behind him and grabbed the boulder that he used to threaten the Black Cats with and blocked one of Kuro's Cat Claws, "It would seem that you can do a lot more than stretch." he said, his face twisted in surprise and annoyance.
"That's right." Luffy said, "I've been toughing myself up to be a pirate!" and by hugging the rock he was able to get a good hold of it, smashing it and breaking off the 5 Cat Claws at once.
"He broke them!" Both kirishima and tetsutetsu said in unison.
"Yeah! Take that you weak ass cat!" Katsuki cheered.
Luffy is holding up the rock, "You know what? If you don't want a reputation?" and with all the strength he had, he slammed the boulder right into Kuro's face as he screamed. "THEN DON'T BE A PIRATE!" The Black Cat Pirates start cheering their Captain on. But when he got up, blood dripping down the side of his face, and dropped the biggest bombshell on them all. He explained that he planned on killing the Black Cat Pirates as well as Jango later. He explained that he was planning to kill the Black Cats anyway to prove his innocence and not to make the world notice that he was still alive, which greatly shocked everyone.
Everyone was completely horrified, "and they followed him!?" Present Mic shouted.
"Their like sheep following the head but it turns out he is only using them and will dispose of them." Nezu said.
"Wait a minute, he's going to have them pillage the village and kill all his men?" Fatgum asked confused, "what about his resources or what happens if anyone docks there for resupplies, he's going to do a lot of things."
"Maybe he didn't think this all through?" Ryukyu questioned.
This is a plan Kuro devised and will have it that way, he wants to cut all lose ends. "You guys are dumb." Luffy said, looking at the pirates with disappointment, "The most uncool pirates I know." He added looking back to Kuro.
"Yeah, shanks is better." Mirio said.
"We're uncool huh?" Kuro asked aggravated, "Pirates are nothing more than savages; incapable of rising above their animal nature. Without my plans what could they possibly accomplish? A crew is nothing to me. They are simply a means to an end. Crew members are just pawns in the Captain's game."
"Not really, from all the other pirates. There are those who aren't like that." Kyoka smiled remembering the straw hat alliance and those supernovas in saboady.
"Whether my men live or die is up to me and me alone." Kuro continued, "If I tell them to fight, they will fight. And if I order them to die they had better do it. They know the punishment for disobedience." He grinned at Luffy who continued to give him that empty look.
Katsuki noticed it was the same look how Ace looked at the nobles in Goa kingdom. "Luffy is nothing like you." Mirio growled.
The former captain must've sensed it, "THIS IS HOW PIRATES ARE! DON'T YOU DARE TALK DOWN TO ME BOY!" he bellowed in fury and outage.
"Ummm... He didn't say anything." Koda said.
"It's how he looked, that's the same look Ace gave to the nobles in Goa kingdom." Aizawa said.
Everyone remembered the fire... "Just like..." Ibara is furious remembering how they disgarded life.
Luffy smiled, "You know no matter how many hundreds or thousands of men follow you as their Captain." he said, still with that same smile. "You will never be as good as Usopp."
The audience remembers how Usopp cares for those kids, despite playing pirates, they somewhat act like a pirate crew.
"You fool." Kuro snarled, sounding more like a wild animal with every second. "Are you saying that I'm inferior to a kid pretending to be a pirate?!"
"That's right." Luffy agreed without a shred of doubt in his voice.
"Pretend or not, Usopp is a good pirate captain." Mirio said.
This made some realized something, "could this be part of the reason why they had a duel on water 7?" Hawks asked.
"Partially, but Luffy had to make the call. He should have been more sincere that he they can't stay or keep merry, masking it wasn't helping. He should have been more truthful than hiding the fact he too didn't want to let merry go, but zoro told him to do what's best for the crew. Getting a new ship is best, but explaining the reason of merry's condition is heart breaking." Anita sighed.
Kuro threw his head back and laughed, "Well aren't YOU funny?" he demanded, "Don't get cocky just because you snapped off one of my cat claws! How exactly is he better than me?" he demanded as he stepped into his PussyFoot maneuver, "Let's hear it."
Still smiling, Luffy and mirio confessed. "Cause he's got heart, a guy like you..." he said stretching his arm out, "Doesn't know what a true pirate is!" and like a whip, he swung around and found Kuro, smashing him into the side of the cliff. The Black Cats were amazed that he could keep up with that technique.
Many cheered.
"How insulting." Kuro's voice said as the smoke cleared, "It would appear that you need a lesson in what true pirates are like." Slicking his messed up hair back, he calmed that the first lesson he would teach Luffy about pirates would be about terror. That was when he did something strange… he began to slouch back and forth and back and forth… according to his scared crew, it's called the Out-Of-The-Bag attack. Luffy may not see it as a big deal but mirio has a bad feeling, Kuro disappeared, leaving nothing but dark purple whips of smoke, drifting across the land forebodingly. Suddenly, one of the pirates was slashed to pieces. Then many more followed.
The audience are disgusted a5 horrified, "wait, he's really fast that he can't tell what he's really hitting. If he had more training with this technique, he'll be able to fight his opponents. He doesn't seem to care and will kill Luffy even if he's men are not in the way." Tenya analyzed.
"Wow tenya, that was good." Izuku said.
"I have a speed quirk for a reason, studying my quirk helps review speed related situations."
Luffy didn't move the whole time as he watched, he was also being slashed at… cuts appearing all over his body… but he didn't seem to notice it, his eyes were shadowed and he was shaking in rage. Even with his own blood dripping down he just stood there before he finally screamed out so loudly that the words echoed in their heads, "DON'T YOU HAVE ANY HONOR!? THOSE MEN ARE YOUR FRIENDS!" Kuro cut him across his chest but he stood his ground and somehow he was able to stretch out at one direction and grabbed hold of Kuro's jacket before he threw him to the ground. "I found you." he grunted in satisfaction, mirio held a look of fury.
The former pirate captain quickly got back up, looking more than a little angry at being caught. "You bastard." He hissed, "you should have accepted your fate like a good boy, now look at what you've done! Thanks to you, my little pawns are still alive... And in misery."
This made the blonde harden his glare at him, "it's your own fault, you don't deserve to be a pirate captain if all you know is money and scaring your own crew." He said looking at the bloody black cat pirates, all heavily injured.
It was a horrifying sight, many felt bad for these pirates for having a terrible captain. Recovery girl grip her cane, helpless to just watch. Ibara feels the same.
"So now what?" Kuro mocked as he got up, "You have something to say?"
"Yeah." Luffy said as he glanced at his hat on the ground a few yards away, "No matter what happens to me… I will never be like you."
"Not will." He sneered, pointing his claws at straw hat's face. "Someone like you can't be like me."
"Yes, Luffy is a kind and strong captain while you're nothing but a coward who only cares more about yourself!" Izuku said.
"He's not a hero... But he is a great pirate." All might agreed with him.
Kuro moved back so that he was standing back up on the top of the hill again before he went to do his move again. This time Luffy ran forward, however he was too late… Kuro disappeared. Luffy stood there, trying to sense him… and when he slashed again, Luffy moved back so that he just barely missing him. Kuro disappeared again and reappeared behind Luffy, ready to strike again. "Aren't you tired? Bet you are after all the dancing around you've been doing," Luffy taunted him, grinning along with mirio.
"Don't get cocky!" The former pirate captain sneered, using both palms to move his glasses up. "That was simply a warm-up, the real fight begins now. Soon, I'll be feasting on your fear... Complemented by the sweet wine of your agony."
Everyone looked unimpressed, "sure, like that's ever going to happen. Compared to Garp, your not on the list of things luffy fears." Setsuna sassed.
He used another Out-Of-The-Bag attack, but Luffy had grabbed him and held him tight so that the butler couldn't get away. Before Kuro could move, Luffy wrapped his limbs around Kuro's body, stopping him dead in his tracks. "Nice try, you jerk." he grinned, getting right up in his face.
"DAMN YOU! GET AWAY FROM ME!!!" The former pirate captain yelled as he attempted to break free but the rubber man got a strong hold on him.
"Wow butler man, your life really sucks now doesn't it?" Luffy asked conversationally, as if asking him what his favorite color was. "Your plan of three years is a complete and total failure." Kuro wanted him to let go, then the Black Cat Pirates started cheering Luffy on.
"They do know luffy doesn't care about them at all." Monoma looked disappointed.
"I guess they hate Kuro so much, they'd rather cheer Luffy on." Jurota said.
"JUST SHUT UP!" Luffy yelled, looking annoyed as he head-butted Kuro and then threw his head back so that it stretched far enough for him to yell right up in their faces. "YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO CHEER ME ON!" Stretching his head back, "Gum Gum…!" he screamed.
"YOU INSECT! MY PLAN WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT BE DISRUPTED!!" Kuro shouted.
Luffy head-butted him, finishing the attack. "BELL!" Shattering the remains of Kuro's glasses, the bong truly did sound like a deep bell ringing before Luffy let go and gracefully landed on the ground just as the butler did… he was out cold before his shattered glasses hit the ground. Kuro laid there, bleeding from the head, his eyes rolled all the way back so they could only see white.
"So much for your perfect plan, you can't always predict the unpredictable." Shoda sighed.
The black cat pirates are amazed at Luffy for beating their captain, Luffy calmly turned around to address them. "I'm Monkey D. Luffy, the only time a pirate should abandon his name is when he dies. I would never lose to a coward who ditches his name, betrays his crew, and runs from his life on the sea. You should remember my name for the rest of your lives." He said before he grinned, "Cause one of these days, I'm gonna be King of the Pirates." He picked Kuro up by his collar and threw him down to them all, "NOW GET OUT OF HERE!" he roared as Kuro landed at their feet, "AND NEVER EVER COME BACK!" And they did just that.
"I wonder whatever happened to him?" Izuku asked.
"Well, the black cat pirates are back and he decided to train himself. So the next time Luffy comes back to east blue, he will kill him." Joanne answered.
Luffy almost ended up collapsing in exhaustion but Nami was able to help support him and keep him standing, "You did good, Luffy." she said softly as they watched the pirates climb onboard and leave… hopefully never to return, "I expect even you to collapse after what you just went through." Luffy didn't say a word as he laid back on the ground, staring up at the sky with a dark look in his eyes… as if trying to figure out a difficult question, she gently sat next to him, "Say… tell me why were you so mad earlier?"
Luffy's eyes looked at her as he said, almost angrily. "Cause I truly hate people like them, they're so wrong." He fell silent for a moment before he added, "Crewmates aren't meant to be treated that way."
"There are better pirates who treat their crew with respect to one another." Nezu said.
Nami carefully picked up Luffy's hat, "What are you talking about? Of course it isn't, most pirates aren't the brave. Honorable people you make them out to be, I'd say that Captain Kuro is pretty standard." Luffy glanced at Nami before he looked at the sky again… he's hungry, then Zoro and Usopp both come back, with Usopp walking again but limping heavily, letting them know that Kaya and the boys were ok. He is very thankful for their help, the screen turns black. A few days later, kaya and Merry presented the going merry to the straw hats. As a thank you gift, mirio smiled happily. This is an amazing ship, they also got Usopp to join their crew.
"I've been wondering... Do the villagers know Usopp left?" Izuku asked.
"Not many believe it at 1st, but they began to notice his absence, Kaya's health excelling and Kuro being missing. They all told the town the truth with proof, it took them days to accept the truth but they are very thankful for Usopp's true bravery. They read the newspaper to get any updates on the straw hat pirates." Joanne explained.
"So he's a hero in his village?" Hado asked.
"Yes, but they know Usopp is still a notorious liar. They will apologize when he gets back, but they want proof when he tells his adventures at sea."
