M/M romance, hurt/comfort and dry/meta humour. What if the player could complete the Black Mass himself? It would seriously piss off Astarion and cause a massive problem in their relationship. Elamir (Tav) has always been kind of an arsehole, but never downright evil; he tries to claw his way to the light while Astarion continues to backstab him out of fear and self-preservation.

Tav dies in the House of Grief, and Shar has no interest in letting her go. If Astarion is to have any hope of ever bringing Tav back to life, he'll need something a lot stronger than a handful of scrolls and third-level spells. Or: the gang goes through a Critical-Role-style resurrection ritual.
