It was a typical day at Hexside School of Magic and Demonics, where witches, demons, and other magical creatures gathered to learn their craft. Luz Noceda, a spirited human teenager and apprentice of the resident troublemaker, Eda Clawthorne, had a mischievous plan in mind. She believed that magic was not just about spells and potions but also about bringing people together and having fun.

Luz had recently stumbled upon an ancient artifact—a magical scroll with an enchantment that could make everyone sing a song of her choice, lyric for lyric. With a sly grin on her face, she approached her friends, Willow and Gus, who were engrossed in studying magical creatures.

"Hey, guys!" Luz exclaimed, waving the scroll in front of them. "I've found something incredible! This scroll can make everyone sing any song we choose! Let's bring some joy to this place!"

Willow raised an eyebrow skeptically, while Gus's eyes sparkled with excitement. "What song are you thinking, Luz?" Gus asked eagerly.

Luz paused for a moment, thinking about the perfect song to unite the students of Hexside. Suddenly, a mischievous idea popped into her head. "I've got it!" she declared. "We're going to sing 'I Want It That Way' by the Backstreet Boys!"

Willow and Gus exchanged puzzled glances, unsure of what to make of Luz's choice. However, they trusted her and decided to go along with her plan. They knew Luz had an uncanny ability to turn even the strangest ideas into something amazing.

Word quickly spread around the school that Luz had something exciting planned. Students gathered in the central courtyard, whispering with anticipation. When the time came, Luz stood on a makeshift stage, holding the enchanted scroll in her hands. Willow and Gus stood beside her, ready to join in.

"Alright, everyone!" Luz called out, her voice brimming with enthusiasm. "Get ready to sing your hearts out!"

Coincidentally, Amity was walking by the Courtyard, confused on what the heck's going on.

As Luz unraveled the scroll, a magical energy spread through the air, enveloping the students. With a wave of her hand, the enchantment was activated, and the opening notes of "I Want It That Way" filled the courtyard. A wave of confusion swept over the students as they found themselves singing the iconic lyrics.

Willow to Hunter: You are...My fire...
Hunter to Willow: My one...desire...
Willow to Hunter: Believe when...
Hunter to Willow: ...I say...

Hunter and Willow: I Want It That Way...

Amity was about to ask what the hell was this, but she didn't care as she decided to go along with it as she decided to join in with Luz, her girlfriend.

Amity to Luz: But we are two worlds apart... Can't reach to your heart... (She proceeds to glare at Odalia, who lights up in confusion and surprise.) When you say: That I want it that way...

Odalia just looks at Alador and Principal Bump, looking equally confused as they shrugged at her.

Luz: Tell me why
Hexside Students: Ain't nothin' but a heartache
Luz: Tell me why
Odalia: (Speaking, annoyed) Ain't nothin' but a mistake...
Luz: Tell me why
Luz and Amity: I never wanna hear you say, I want it that way!

King and Hooty, by sheer coincidence saw this from a distance and looked at each other as Hooty asks, "Should we?"

"Yeah, we should!" King laughed.

King: (To a plushie) Am I your fire?
Your one desire...

Hooty: Yes, I know it's too late.
Luz and Amity: But I want it that way!

Luz: Tell me why...
Hexside Students: Ain't nothin' but a heartache
Amity: Tell me why
Hexside Students: Ain't nothin' but a mistake...
Luz: Tell me why
Luz and Amity: I never wanna hear you say,
Hooty: (Interrupting) I wanna Hoot-Hoot!

Luz and Hooty angrily shouts, "Hooty!"

"I'm a fun participant, Hoot Hoot!" Hooty smiled, casually.

"What the Devil is going on here?!" Eda shouted, her voice cutting through the chorus of voices. She scowled at the sight of the students enthusiastically singing the Backstreet Boys' hit. "You can't be serious."

Luz's smile faltered for a moment as she locked eyes with her mentor. However, the sight of her friends and classmates enjoying themselves pushed her to continue. She stepped forward and shouted, "Come on, Eda! Sing with us! Don't be such a grump!"

Eda's scowl deepened, but for a brief moment, a flicker of amusement crossed her eyes once Raine Whispers walked by. Shrugging, Eda said to herself, "I would save this for Stan and Raine in a Polygamy Wedding, I should've been two Edas, but I might as well make the most of this."

Eda: Now I can see that we've fallen apart
From the way that it used to be, yeah

Raine: No matter the distance, I want you to know
That deep down inside of me...
You are my fire

Eda: The one desire

Raine and Eda: You are

Gus and Gus Illusions: You are, you are, you are...

Everyone: Don't wanna hear you SAY...

The courtyard echoed with the voices of the students, their harmony growing stronger with every line of the song. As the final note rang out, a burst of applause and cheers filled the air. The students, their hearts lighter and spirits lifted, celebrated the unexpected unity that had been brought about through the power of music.

Luz approached Eda, a triumphant grin on her face. "See, Eda? It might be dumb, but it brought us all together. That's the magic of music!"

Eda huffed, but there was a hint of a smile on her face. "Fine, Noceda. But don't let it go to your head. We're still here to learn magic, not serenade each other."

Luz: Tell me why

Hexside Students: Ain't nothin' but a heartache

Willow and Hunter: Tell me why

Hexside Students: Ain't nothin' but a mistake

Amity and Luz: Tell me why

Hexside Students: I never wanna hear you say (don't wanna hear you say)
I want it that way...

Hexside Students: Tell me why

Luz: Ain't nothin' but a heartache

Amity: Ain't nothin' but a mistake

Hexside Students: Tell me why

Raine and Eda: I never wanna hear you say (don't wanna hear you say)

Hexside Students: I want it that way

Hooty and King: 'Cause I want it that way...

"If that bird tube ruins the moment again, I'm going to destroy it..." Amity said, annoyed.

"But you gotta admit, King and Hooty kill it with the harmony." Eda said.

"I absolutely do!" Hooty said.

"Eh, moment's ruined." King shrugged.
