Chapter 78: Amazo Virus II
January 18th
Age 764 (2014), Switzerland, Lausanne
Barry Allen was mentally exhausted. His legs churned as he raced through city blocks, looking for civilians. The sheer number of them of them was staggering. Not the ones in this particular city, though. Lausanne wasn't very densely populated, but Geneva's metro population was still quite large. Dozens of towns, villages, and municipalities encompassed it, and Geneva's metro area stretched into neighboring France.
So far, The Flash had helped evacuate three towns in Switzerland. Civilians were shocked when the scarlet speedster showed up at their doorsteps. Barry's superhero persona was more famous than he could've ever imagined. Civilians typically listened to him without question as he carried them to military convoys that lined the streets. Everyone had to go, and though some were reluctant to leave their homes and dwellings, The Flash managed to win them over.
The Justice League bracelet on Barry's wrist allowed him to communicate with the populace. It translated every word of German, French, Italian, and Romansh that Barry encountered. Other languages like English were spoken in Switzerland, but Barry didn't come across them as frequently as the main four. Once every building was cleared on a street, Barry moved on to another and repeated the process all over again. It usually only took a few seconds, but some areas were more troublesome than others.
Amidst the chaos of the evacuations, a select few members of society decided to engage in criminal activity. People were fleeing their homes and oftentimes leaving valuables behind. Jewelry and cash were the most targeted items. The Flash stopped several criminals midway through their attempted burglaries, and they were out cold before they even knew what hit them. Barry tied them to light poles and attached sticky notes detailing the would-be robbers' crimes.
The military would take care of them in due time, and sure enough when the military's vehicles rolled up, the criminals were arrested and put in handcuffs. The military officers displayed a great deal of respect for Barry, which was surprising to him. He and the rest of the Justice League had no authority in Switzerland, but the Swiss government still allowed them to help. The gravity of the situation was likely the reason for that, but when Frieza was finally defeated, the international legality of superheroes would require attention. Batman had already discussed this topic with the Justice League once before, but the League had been fortunate to avoid international issues until now.
The Justice League's primary focus, save for Aquaman, was the United States, but the rest of the world also required protection. It was a delicate balance that the Justice League would have to maintain moving forward. The Justice League weren't the only heroes present, though. Argus agents like Chi-Chi and Steve Trevor were in Switzerland, as well as Goku's friends and Aquaman's wife. Barry had never worked alongside Chikyu's heroes until today, but Superman and Batman vouched for them.
The fact that Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, and Chiaotzu were Goku's trusted friends was enough assurance for Barry, but Superman and Batman's glowing words about them spoke volumes. Chikyu's heroes were dispersed throughout Geneva's neighboring towns, ushering civilians to safety, and everyone was playing their roles splendidly. Defeating Frieza was still of the utmost importance, but a superhero's primary focus was to save lives, and that's why Earth's heroes had broken up into teams.
Batman and Superman had orchestrated this plan before their arrival in Switzerland. Everyone wanted to fight Frieza, but realistically, that just wasn't possible, and Batman was the first to admit that. On the flight here, the dark knight had acknowledged how much of a liability he'd be. There was only so much he could do as a regular human, and even the Ki-wielding humans would be no match for Frieza. It was the truth, but a painful pill to swallow, nonetheless.
The best course of action was to divide the heroes. Some heroes would attack Frieza, while other heroes assisted civilians with evacuations. Initially, everyone had agreed to those terms until the groups had been announced. Superman, Piccolo, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, and the Martian Manhunter would fight Frieza while the remaining heroes prevented collateral damage. Gohan had instantly been incensed. He'd trained for months in preparation for Frieza, only to be told that he wouldn't be joining the fray.
The only thing that had calmed him down was his mother. She scolded him and put him in his place. Sometimes, it was easy to forget just how young Gohan was due to his uncanny maturity, but moments like that reminded Barry that the Demi-Saiyan was still only a child. Gohan was forced to get on board with the plan, and any other naysayers had quickly fallen in line; it was for the best, after all.
If the first team of heroes were somehow slain by Frieza, the remaining heroes could step up to the plate, not to mention Vegeta. Barry was ambivalent about the Saiyan prince, but Vegeta's thirst for vengeance against Frieza would surely overcome any negative feelings he held toward the Justice League. Locating the prince would be another matter, though. Batman's secret tracker on Vegeta had shown he was somewhere in Chikyu for whatever reason.
Bulma would know best, but when Yamcha had called his girlfriend, she didn't answer. Later on, the Earth's heroes discovered she was in Switzerland when Gohan sensed her Ki. That raised troubling questions, but the Justice League had decided to let Yamcha deal with it. The Lone Wolf was surely confronting her now; he hadn't responded to any of Batman's recent messages. Bruce had given Yamcha and his friends their own communicator bracelets before everyone had departed; it was the easiest way to stay in contact. Barry glanced down at his bracelet and saw he had an incoming call from Bruce. Barry answered, and Batman's grave tone instantly put the speedster on edge.
"Frieza's remaining troops are on the move. Queen Mera and I are under attack as we speak. Expect -"
"Expect? Expect what, Batman?" Barry asked. Bruce's call was abruptly cut off.
The Flash sighed and gazed at the sky. He didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, but several streaks of lightning were flashing overhead. A storm was brewing. The ground suddenly trembled, swaying back and forth, and Barry was almost knocked off his feet. He caught himself before he completely tilted over, but a powerful gust of wind sent him tumbling anyway.
Barry tried to get back up, but the wind was just too strong. Around him, trees were being uprooted, light poles were flung into the air, and military vehicles were doing cartwheels through the streets. The soldiers inside them would require assistance, but their automobiles were likely the safest place of refuge until the storm died down, but that wouldn't be any time soon. Drizzling rain started pouring, and cinder-block-sized hail pelted the ground.
Barry had to phase into a sewer to find shelter, and even there, he heard the echoes of Mother Nature's fury. "What the hell is going on?"
January 18th
Age 764 (2014), Switzerland, Geneva
When King Cold's skin finally stopped bulging, he was almost unrecognizable. Frieza's father was already abnormally large, to begin with, but now he stood a gigantic fifteen feet tall. His tail alone was bigger than Frieza's entire body. The purple and white tail was thicker, longer, and featured multiple protruding spikes at its tip. They looked like jagged bones and hissed against the wind each time it blew by.
The white armor-like carapaces that covered several portions of King Cold's frame had doubled in size along with his body mass. The white carapaces on his wrists and ankles were large enough to be basketball hoops, and bony blades jutted out of all of them. The carapace on King Cold's head was the most striking and alluring. Long gone were the Frost Demon's horns; they'd been replaced by carapaces that stretched so high they resembled white antlers.
King Cold's armor had burst during his transformation, and his rippling purple abs were now visible. Superman counted at least twelve of them. The Frost Demon's white shoulder pads were so wide they looked like wings, and the navy-blue gem plates on them gleamed even amidst the rain. His body steamed, an aftereffect of his mutation, and all the Earth's heroes could do was gawk.
"We should've attacked him while he was transforming!" Aquaman shouted as he dislodged his trident from the ground, twirling it. He'd used it to stay upright during the sudden weather change but had still been pushed several feet away from Frieza.
"That would've been for the best, but our priority was and still is Frieza," Wonder Woman responded. Her lasso remained firmly fastened around the tyrant and had never once faltered, even when gale-force winds had battered her.
"There's no point in us arguing amongst ourselves; what's done is done," Superman halted the bickering before it got out of hand. "The question now is how do we handle this situation?"
"Things are too far gone for that; the only thing you can do now is die!" King Cold suddenly blurred in front of Superman. The Kryptonian's eyes widened, but before he could even react, he was sent soaring when King Cold's girthy fist rammed into his stomach. Clark rocketed away at near-light speed, and the only thing that slowed his momentum was the mountain he crashed into halfway across the world.
Wonder Woman watched Superman blast off into the distance and was forced to take action when King Cold came after her next. Piccolo tried to intervene, but the gigantic Frost Demon swatted him away like an insignificant bug. The Namekian hit the ground head-first and skipped across it like a stone in a lake. Diana had no choice but to release Frieza and instantly regretted her decision the moment she did; both Frost Demons swarmed her.
Diana thanked Athena that she'd switched outfits and put her Bracelets of Submission on before heading to Geneva. They rattled with each blow she blocked. Frieza and his father were relentless. Diana had expected that, but their stamina was something she hadn't accounted for. Despite King Cold's monstrous size, he was still agile and extremely durable. He threw at least fifty punches without getting winded, and Frieza was another matter altogether.
The younger Frost Demon was a machine, literally and figuratively. Diana doubted whether he even blinked during their skirmish. Frieza was so intensely focused on her that he failed to notice an impending attack from his rear. A foot slammed into his back, tossing him out of the sky. King Cold's flurry halted as he turned to face the new challenger, and he and Diana were shocked when the mysterious assailant transformed into a Super Saiyan.
Diana had so many questions, but the Martian Manhunter grabbed her and phased out of sight before she could pose any of them.
"Why did you do that? He needs our help!" Diana snapped once she and J'onn became tangible again. They were hovering over Lake Geneva, nearly out of view from the battlefield.
"Trunks can handle himself for a little while, but there are some things you need to know about him." J'onn tapped Diana's forehead and replayed the conversation he'd had with the Demi-Saiyan after Aquaman pulled him out of the water. A flood of information seeped into Wonder Woman's mind.
"Oh," was all Diana could muster. It was too much to process. Time travel? A Super Saiyan from the future? It sounded like a science fiction novel, but the more Diana thought about it, the less far-fetched it seemed. She lived in a world where magic orbs granted wishes; nothing was truly out of the realm of possibility.
"I'm sharing this information with the rest of our team as we speak. I want us all up to speed as soon as possible. Trunks is our trump card; we need to rally around him."
Diana nodded; she didn't need to hear anything else. She zoomed towards the battlefield and was there before J'onn realized she was gone. In the air, Trunks and King Cold exchanged blows, thunder rumbling in the distance each time their strikes connected. On the ground, Aquaman and Piccolo had their hands full with Frieza. The tyrant was practically toying with them, and Arthur's trident was the only reason he was still alive; it blocked numerous decapitating attacks.
Diana was torn between who to help. J'onn had said to rally around Trunks, but he was a Super Saiyan fully capable of handling things on his own. Her friends on land needed her the most, and that's where she opted to focus her attention. Diana swooped in to save the day and crossed paths with Superman along the way as he sped past her to assist Trunks.
King Cold never saw what hit him.
Superman blitzed King Cold and reciprocated his punch from earlier with one of his own. On a regular opponent, it would've been a haymaker, but Clark knew it wouldn't be. It still hurt King Cold like hell, though. The Frost Demon soared in free fall for miles until Superman reappeared behind him, stopping his flight with an elbow to the ribs. Clark heard several of them crack in high definition. This was one of the downsides to his super-hearing, and Clark took no pleasure in what he was forced to do next.
Using his super vision, Superman hammered King Cold's ribs over and over again. The Frost Demon's bones were denser than any alien Clark had encountered before. They cracked under the pressure of Clark's fists, but they refused to break no matter what he did. King Cold didn't stand by idly either; he swung his own fists wildly at Superman, but the man of steel endured the punishment of attacking The Frost Demon at close range. Trunks eventually showed up, and he was the only reason the pair of warriors separated.
The Demi-Saiyan launched a sizable Ki beam at King Cold, and the Frost Demon had to dart out of the way to avoid it. Trunks apologized when the ball of energy narrowly missed Superman, but Clark waved him off.
"It's fine; I understand what you were trying to do," Superman assured as he backpedaled to reconvene with Trunks, but the Demi-Saiyan was too well-mannered and continued apologizing.
"I'm so sorry, Mr. Superman, I didn't mean to –"
"– It's fine, seriously," Superman cut him off. "You don't have to keep apologizing to me, and you don't have to call me mister either; it makes me feel old. I'm not that much older than you, Trunks."
The Demi-Saiyan took a step back in surprise, and Clark noted his apprehension.
"Super hearing," Superman pointed to his ears. "I heard you state your name during your declaration to Frieza."
Trunks blushed, visibly embarrassed. He should've known, especially considering who his girlfriend was. She'd used her super hearing on him numerous times.
"I appreciate the backup, Trunks, but I can handle things from here."
"Are you sure?" Trunks asked skeptically. He warily glanced at King Cold. The Frost Demon's Ki was untraceable, but potent waves of energy were rolling off him.
"Yes, I'm sure. I'll take care of King Cold," Superman reassured. "It's time to put my training to the test." Clark stared at his hands and tightened them into determined fists.
"I'll hold you to your word then," Trunks reluctantly said. He prepared to depart and took one last look at King Cold, who was grinning from ear to ear.
"Run along, little Saiyan; the adults have much to discuss," King Cold mocked. He watched Trunks grudgingly fly away and turned his gaze to Superman.
"We have nothing to discuss unless you plan on surrendering. Is that what you intend to do?" Clark asked, knowing full well what his opponent's response would be.
"Of course not, don't be silly, Kryptonian," King Cold let out a hearty laugh. "Aren't you the least bit curious to know why my son destroyed your home world?"
Superman's jaw dropped. "F-Frieza destroyed Krypton?" His lips trembled as he spoke the question, struggling to come to grips with the bombshell.
"Yes, you didn't know?" King Cold responded, slightly amused. "My son is very impulsive. For decades, your ancestors served my empire. They were incredibly resourceful and inventive. Without your species, the Planet Trade Organization would've never grown into what it is today."
The words hit Superman like a ton of bricks. "No, that's not that possible. That can't be true!"
"Oh, but it is," King Cold chuckled. "Krypton was a beloved ally to my empire until my son Frieza took over. He tried to officially integrate Krypton into the Planet Trade Organization, but your people spurned him time and time again, and Frieza had no choice but to subjugate them."
"Subjugate them how?" Clark's face darkened.
"A smart ruler always keeps a whip in hand. Frieza used the Saiyans to humble Krypton, but the war didn't go as expected. Saiyans and Kryptonians have been enemies ever since the eradication of the Tuffles. The Tuffle genocide sparked the original Krypto-Saiyan war, which lasted until I conquered the Saiyans."
"There were two Krypto-Saiyan wars?" Superman asked incredulously. This was information he should've known about.
"You really don't know anything, do you?" King Cold sighed in frustration. "I don't have time to go into all the gory details, and it won't matter anyway since you and everyone else on this planet are about to die."
"I already lost one home world; I won't let you or Frieza destroy this one!"
"Such bravery in the face of death; it's almost…. admirable," King Cold clapped facetiously. "Come then, show me the power my son feared so much, Kryptonian. Show me what your species can do under a yellow sun!"
Superman closed the gap between him and King Cold in an instant. The Frost Demon was left wide-eyed and dumbfounded when Clark's knuckles scraped against his chin. The blow rattled King Cold's teeth, but he stood his ground. Superman's following attacks were just as fierce but were less effective and produced little to no visible damage. King Cold eventually deciphered Superman's pattern of attack and caught a jab seconds before it made contact.
The Frost Demon clenched and squeezed the appendage so hard it caused Clark to whimper. King Cold shoved the fist and Superman backward in one smooth motion. Caught off-guard, Clark was unable to defend himself when King Cold's tail lashed out and thwacked him in the face. The jagged spikes on its tip were so sharp they actually managed to draw blood from the Kryptonian.
The heavy rain quickly washed it away, but the damage was done. Three long prominent scars were left behind on Superman's face. They would heal in due time with enough exposure to the sun, but King Cold wouldn't grant him that opportunity. The Frost Demon blasted Clark with a Ki beam that sent him rocketing in a trail of smoke. Superman spun out of control for a mile until King Cold's hard, heavy hands brought him to an abrupt stop.
The Frost Demon clasped his hands together and brought them down as hard as he could on Superman's skull. The force was tremendous, and a horrific cracking sound filled the air, momentarily silencing the rain. Superman sputtered to the ground with his head throbbing. He hit the Earth and dented it, forming a crater beneath him. The Kryptonian groaned and tried to stand up, but when he did, he was greeted with several luminous Ki beams.
They detonated one after the other in raucous explosions that were felt all the way across Geneva. King Cold smirked at his handiwork and rubbed his hands in satisfaction, assured that the job was done, but when the smoke cleared, Superman was still standing. Clark looked worse for wear but had a lot to be grateful for. Bits and pieces of his iconic blue uniform had been blown off, but his body was still intact.
King Cold scowled as the man of steel dusted himself off. Those attacks should've vaporized him! But it was no problem; the Frost Demon would remedy that immediately. King Cold charged at Superman with astounding speed. He met Clark on the ground and reignited their battle. The two warriors were nearly equal in speed, but King Cold's strength had seemingly diminished.
Each time the Frost Demon struck Clark, the blows bounced off his skin harmlessly. It was mind-blowing. Just a few moments earlier, King Cold had inflicted serious pain on Clark. Something was up, but Superman couldn't allow that to distract him from this battle. He tagged King Cold with every combination he knew.
Some attacks were harder than others to rattle off just due to the sheer size of the Frost Demon, but Superman managed to land each one of them. King Cold's joints were the easiest targets, and that's where Clark focused the bulk of his strikes. The Frost Demon made vain attempts to protect them, but they all proved to be meaningless in the end. Clark had him on the ropes, backpedaling and using every evasive maneuver he knew. King Cold even attempted to use his tail, but this time, Superman just hopped over it and landed with his boots on the Frost Demon's face.
Clark's weight and force brought King Cold down, headfirst. The rest of his body slammed into the ground shortly after, causing a slight tremor. Superman leaped off him and quickly used his frost breath to encase the Frost Demon in a shell of freezing ice. It wouldn't hold him for long, but it would spare Clark a moment to plot his next move.
No jail or prison would be capable of containing King Cold. The Phantom Zone was a viable option, but the Fortress of Solitude was across the world. Clark could make it there and back in the blink of an eye, but would King Cold allow him to? Clark glanced down and saw zigzagging cracks on the shell of ice. It wouldn't hold for much longer; Clark needed to act quickly.
The man of steel prepared for liftoff, but as soon as he was inches off the ground, King Cold's icy cell shattered. The Frost Demon rose with a roar and angrily flared his Ki. He spotted Superman and lunged at him, grabbing him by the ankle. Clark kicked King Cold repeatedly with his free foot, but it did little to deter the Frost Demon. King Cold tightened his grip around Superman's ankle and slammed the Kryptonian into the ground. The first time didn't hurt so much, but by King Cold's fifth swing, Clark was seeing double.
The Frost Demon's strength had miraculously risen again. It was astonishing and raised a question in Clark's mind. Superman borrowed a move from Barry and vibrated his molecules to slip out of King Cold's grasp. The Frost Demon gasped as Clark phased through his fingers, arms, and torso and reemerged behind him. King Cold whipped his head around and threw a punch that was so slow Clark had the time to dodge it and count the raindrops as they fell.
When King Cold realized he missed, he lashed out with another fist, but Clark evaded it too, sidestepping it with ease. The Frost Demon threw unremitting punches that made no contact and bore no fruit. King Cold was so laughably slow, that Clark almost felt pity for him. The Frost Demon's efforts were continuous, and if his attacks ever did land, Clark would be in a world of pain, but they never did. King Cold pushed himself harder and harder, and it was at that moment when epiphany dawned on Superman.
King Cold's transformation was lopsided. The Frost Demon could augment his strength or his speed to incredible heights, but not simultaneously. It had to be one or the other. That was King Cold's Achilles heel. Superman pounded his palm for not realizing this sooner. It all made sense now!
Superman blurred in front of the Frost Demon and decked him in the face. Sure enough, King Cold barely budged, and when the Frost Demon tried to give chase as Clark retreated, he was unable to keep up. Superman led him into the stormy sky and quickly lost him when he accelerated into the mesosphere. King Cold's heart was palpitating rapidly, and as the gap between the two warriors widened, Clark nearly heard it burst. King Cold's new body wasn't used to this type of strain.
The Frost Demon augmented his speed and caught up to Superman in the exosphere. He wheezed, nearly out of breath, and tried to conceal his fading stamina, but Clark's eyes took note of everything. The Kryptonian saw King Cold's sweat glands secreting profusely. The Frost Demon's physiology was vastly different than a human's, but sweat was still sweat, no matter how miniscule.
Superman wanted to say something and offer the Frost Demon one last chance to surrender, but there was no sound at this altitude. At best, all Clark could do was gesture for King Cold to yield, but the arrogant despot refused to do so. Superman frowned and sighed apologetically. The stubborn Frost Demon left him few options but to….
A bull rush snapped Clark back to reality. He weaved it and backflipped out of harm's way when King Cold's tail came crashing down. The massive tail would've crushed Clark had he remained stationary. The Kryptonian retreated to a safe distance and watched King Cold lumber towards him, noticeably slower than before. The Frost Demon had opted to boost his strength again, and Clark used that to his advantage.
Superman ran circles around King Cold; it was a complete mismatch. Anywhere the Frost Demon was, Clark wasn't. He was in so many places at once it looked like he'd multiplied. King Cold just couldn't keep up, no matter how furiously he attacked. The Frost Demon wouldn't be able to continue at his current pace, and that's what Clark was banking on.
King Cold would tire himself out soon enough, and Superman wouldn't have to resort to any drastic measure to incapacitate him. Clark could maintain his moral code and save the world; it was a win-win situation. Just a few more laps around King Cold, and his body would give out in exhaustion. Clark was in the homestretch now; all he needed to do was keep moving, but King Cold suddenly sparked his aura.
The eggplant aura pushed Clark away like a toddler on a swing. The Kryptonian bounced back almost instantly, but King Cold's focus was no longer on him. The Frost Demon had one finger raised, and a ballooning mass of Ki hovered over it. King Cold took one last look at Clark and tossed the nebulous sphere of energy at the Earth. Superman raced to tackle it and hit it head-on, shoulder first.
A big thank you to everyone who reviewed chapter 77!
Q/A:
BrianShooter672: You'll see who kills Frieza soon. Yeah, the Justice League's moral debate over killing will probably rear its head again soon.
Agrimika: Frieza's regenerative abilities are actually drawn from Nth Metal. You'll discover what happened in the future timeline soon. Your question about the Androids is a spoiler, so I can't answer that.
LegendaryMob: Don't worry, Goku will appear soon.
gotham0101: Hippolyta kept watch over Diana, even while she was in exile. I can't answer your Fury question because that would be a spoiler. I can't state the exact time when Gohan will meet the Amazons, but it will happen eventually.
guardianx15: Yes, Frieza's insane regeneration has been his trump card so far.
Thealmightykoala: Goku is on his way.
Vault Hunter: I'm glad you enjoyed the fight scenes in the previous chapter; I think they're some of my best work, too. Dragonball Multiverse inspired me to give King Cold another form. I don't know exactly how strong he is, but he's somewhere around Super Saiyan level. Frieza's battle with the Earth's heroes will most likely end in the next chapter.
Historiasrandom: I'm glad to know that my stories make your day. Yes, Trunks has the same sword that Gohan received for his birthday in chapter 68. Diana won't have a reason to use her lasso on Trunks. Frieza's regenerative abilities are due to the Nth Metal that his body is composed of. You'll see how things play out between Wonder Woman and Fury.
I'm going to avoid answering your Majin Buu questions because even though I've started planning his history, it isn't set in stone. The Kai's are old, but they're still part of the new generation of gods. As you saw in this chapter, Batman won't be involved in the battle with Frieza.
Starfire2023: This version of Frieza was inspired by some fan art that I saw online. Rose Wilson will appear in this story down the line; she's one of my favorite DC characters.
scl04: I try to include some humor when I can, lol.
Omnihallows: Super Saiyan God es la única forma de Dragon Ball Super que incluiré en esta historia. El equilibrio de las fortalezas de los personajes de DC y DBZ se realizará gradualmente.
Raul The Frustrated Fanboy: Wonder Woman is over six feet tall in this story, so Goku is definitely shorter than her, lol. Goku and Diana have a lot of missed time to catch up on; conceiving a new child just might happen.
Franco simplemente: King Cold es tan fuerte como un Super Saiyan.
Guest: Were you asking how many chapters will be published per month?
kaffeenator666: You didn't jinx me, lol. Your tier idea sounds good; the Omac project's files had superheroes classified by tiers. Goku, Piccolo, and Superman hanging out and driving cars would be pretty funny. Yes, Frieza's regenerative abilities are a real nuisance. Diana and Trunks will definitely have a sit-down once the battle is over.
Ohma: Trunks' "struggles" were explained in the previous chapter.
oscuro oscuro: Me alegro que hayas disfrutado el capítulo anterior. Como viste en este capítulo, Martian Manhunter explicó a todos de dónde vino Trunks. Lo más probable es que Moro no aparezca en esta historia.
Jack Redhawke: The timeline in this story differs from canon. That wasn't Krillin's first time using the Destructo Disc. I know Chiaotzu isn't a mime; it's just a description I use from time to time that isn't meant literally.
DRAGONDAVE45: Darkseid and King Cold are connected; it was mentioned in a previous chapter. Don't worry the Green Lanterns will show up. Krillin is a cop in canon so it would be fitting for him to become a space cop in this story.
