the most exciting chapter but a little filler to get us ready for the holdiay

"What were you thinking" Sue said.

"She clearly wasn't" Richard shouted, "I have never been so disappointed in you".

Tears started to fall from Hannahs eyes she hated to disappoint her parents and her dad had never been so angry.

"I have a good mind to ban you from this holiday, you and I can just stay at home" Richard said.

"Richard, we don't have to do that" Sue said, in reality it wasn't an option, Richard wasn't staying for the full week he had to leave early for his 3 months in India he would only be with them for 4 days.

"No, Dad's right, I don't deserve it, I should stay here, then I don't need to see Rachel and Eddie, I can just stay myself".

"That is not an option, you are coming with us, but don't expect to be having fun, you have essays to write on top of your normal homework" Sue said.

"I expect updates every day on what you have been doing, I thought at 14 you would be able to be trusted to manage your own homework, but obviously not".

"I understand" Hannah replied with her eyes cast down.

"Go finish packing, make sure you have everything you need for schoolwork" Sue added as she motioned upstairs.

Hannah was glad to get away from her parents and escape into her room, she threw herself onto the bed and let the tears start to flow. She hated that she had disappointed everyone.

The next day the two families were ready to leave, Richard had to take his own car since he was leaving early, but he had to visit the office so would need to leave a bit later and was meeting the rest there.

Chloe had insisted on going with Sue, Olivia and Zara had baggsied that car too. The boys decided they were going with Eddie.

"Katie love why don't you come with Zara and Olivia in my car" Sue had a big 7-seater car, and she was trying her hardest to get the 3 girls together again.

"Fine" Katie said as she climbed into Sue's car.

"Guess you with me then" Rachel said to Hannah, unless you want to go with Eddie and the boys.

"No, its fine I can come with you, if that's OK. I might not talk much though".

"We need to put yesterday behind us, we are going on holiday" Rachel said as she got into the driver's seat and Hannah got into the passenger's seat.

"I won't be doing much other than schoolwork; I have 5 essays to write and loads of homework. I don't know where to start"?

"You need to plan, then it won't seem so daunting, I can't help with your coursework too much it has to be your work, but I am a Geography teacher so when your done with them I will read them and if I think anything needs redone, I will help, if you have any maths or physics homework then Eddie can help you understand it".

"Thank you" Hannah yawned, she hadn't slept well the night before, and she could feel the sleep coming.

In the other car Sue wasn't having a peaceful a drive, Zara and Katie were bickering again, and Chloe was desperate for the toilet. Sue was exasperated. She quickly called Rachel.

"Hay Rachel you're on loudspeaker, can you pull in at the next services Chloe needs to go to the bathroom" Rachel agreed and soon they were at Hermiston gate at Krispy Kream.

"Your girls will not stop arguing" Sue said, "I have never seen them this bad".

"I'm sorry, they are going through some stuff, so ill take them in my car for the rest of it".

Rachel walked over to where the four younger girls were now sitting all with doughnuts, Hannah, and the boys were in another booth, and Eddie was left paying.

"You two, are coming in my car" she said pointing to her daughters, "And you can apologise to Sue for your arguing in the car."

"But can't I go with Olivia?" Zara asked.

"No, you two are sisters, I am sick of the two of you arguing, now you will come with me, and if I hear one cross word you will both be sorry".

"What's going on here" Eddie asked as he walked over with the first lot of drinks. "Michael, can you get the other drinks please".

"The girls have argued the whole way from home. They are coming in my car the rest of the journey, give Sue some peace and quiet".

"Could I maybe go with the boys if you don't mind" Hannah asked. Rachel smiled, glad to see a bit of smile on her face.

They were soon all back in the cars "So what were you two arguing about?" Rachel asked as she peered though the rearview mirror catching their glances in the back. Katie looked upset as she gazed down.

"I asked you both a question, have you lost your tongue now" Rachel knew she was being harsh, but she wanted this sorted before they got on holiday.

"Zara wanted me to swap rooms with Olivia and I said no".

"Its not fair Olivia is my best friend".

"Girls we have been through this, and I am sick of repeating myself. Chloe wants to share a room with her sister, and your father and I want you both to share a room, it will do you some good. And if I have to hear another word about it, you will both be kept in your room for the night. End of discussion"

The girls nodded in agreement and sat quietly for the next while, they knew their mum was pissed and it was best to leave her.

Meanwhile in Eddies car, the teens were getting excited for the holiday especially the two boys who were talking of climbing, sailing, having a fire.

"Your quiet Hannah, everything OK"

"Yeah, just a bit overwhelmed with everything I need to do, but Rachel said she will help me plan so I think that will help".

"It will, we will keep you on track, but you're the one who must do the work, just make sure you have some time for fun too. Holidays are important we all need a break.

"Then why did you give us homework?" Michael asked to which Eddie just laughed.

They soon arrived at their destination.
