Chapter 2
Danny sighed as he finished his last class of the day, and Nikki hummed at her phone. The boy looked at her and figured she was texting someone from Toronto. Nikki soon looked at the halfa and smiled as she grabbed her things as the two began to walk out of the classroom. Danny was about to head home when Nikki started talking to him.
" Hey, want to hang out later," Nikki asked as Danny thought about it.
" Sure, let's meet in an hour," Danny says as it gives him time to change out of his uniform.
" Great, I'll text you my address," Nikki said as she walked away and headed home.
Danny smiled and walked home as he began thinking about the new ghost portal. Earlier today, he checked on his dad's progress and found he had three weeks until Jack finished it. All Danny had to do was wait till it finished before the boy found a way to sabotage it. It wasn't so difficult to do it the last time. All he had to do was rewire the On switch, Making it stop working. He'd do it again if he didn't have to deal with any more ghosts.
Suddenly, Danny is snapped out of his thoughts when he gasps and realizes his ghost sense went off. Danny looked around to see what caused it but decided he was getting paranoid and decided to head home and ignore it. Unknown to the boy that someone was watching him.
Time skip: one hour later, with Nikki.
Nikki sat on the floor in her living room with one knee bent with her hand resting on it. She had her laptop open to chat with Caitlin and Jen. Nikki is wearing her usual grey cargo pants and a white tank top with a yellow circle. She was listening to Caitlin fill her in on the things she missed. It wasn't surprising that Jonsey got fired again.
" So, Nikki, what is it like living in Amity Park," Caitlin asked as Nikki smiled.
" Honestly, it's pretty cool. The town's beautiful, the people are great, and the school I attend is pretty cool," Nikki said as she saw Jen smirk.
" Yeah, that wouldn't have anything to do with your new friend, Danny, would it?" Jen asked, causing Caitlin to gasp.
" Who's Danny? Is he cute," Caitlin asked, causing Nikking to blush as Jen told her everything. Nikki was about to say something when she heard a familiar voice behind her, which spooked her.
" You tell me," Danny said with an amused grin.
Caitlin and Jen gasped as they saw Danny and started talking over each other, making it difficult for the others to hear. All Nikki and Danny understood were the words hot, sexy, single, boyfriend, and brother before Nikki closed her laptop.
" Well, that was embarrassing," Nikki said while her face turned red. She then asked, " How did you get into my house?"
" Your mom let me in as I helped her bring in the groceries," Danny said, and Nikki raised an eyebrow at him. Her mom is very strict about which boy comes into her home, as she has to meet the parents of any boy she befriends. However, she let that slide as she saw Danny as he was wearing.
Danny is wearing a pair of blue jeans and an open green button-up shirt with the sleeves rolled up, revealing a white v-neck shirt. He is also wearing a pair of black boots. The girl had to admit that the Fenton had a style.
" So, want to head to the mall," Danny asked as Nikki nodded and told him to wait outside as she rushed upstairs.
Once she got upstairs, she grabbed her backpack and phone. She frowned as she looked at her phone. She had text messages, many from Jen, Caitlin, Wyatt, a few from Jude, and the clones. She still hasn't gotten any from Jonsey since they decided to have a long-distance relationship two weeks ago.
" I guess this is a lot harder for him than I thought," Nikki said to herself as she walked out of her room.
Once Nikki got outside, she saw Danny waiting for her, leaning on an old 1967 Ford F100 that had seen better days. As soon as Danny saw her, he stood straight and opened the door for her as she walked towards him and thanked him as she got in.
Danny closed the door and walked around to his side as his ghost sense went off. Danny decided to brush it off again. He then proceeded to get in the car and drive to the mall.
Up on the rooftops, there was a ghost who was watching him. The ghost girl smiled as she began to plan to get the ghost child to help her. After all, he is the only person to help her get back to the ghost zone.
