This could not be true, this has to be some kind of joke. Raph and April saw Shredder's blades go through his chest. Leo, Donnie, and Mikey saw him throw him off the Wolf Hotel building. There's no way he's alive! No one can survive something like that! Not even him.

"I know this is a lot to take in but it is indeed true." Master Yuuta said. I looked at him like he was crazy. "Are you serious?...He died!...he got stabbed in the chest and thrown off a freaking building! The turtles buried his body in the ground! How can he be alive?!"

Yuuta sighed. "Let me show you." Another strange door appeared and this time showed Splinter's memories.

Splinter was meditating in his room but cringed as he kept hearing voices. "Soon you will be mine Hamato Yoshi, it's only a matter of time." Splinter then saw a version of Shredder killing him. "No!" He shouted and opened his eyes.

He panted and held his shaky hands to his chest, taking slow deep breaths to come himself. "Calm yourself, Yoshi. You know what is to come, you just have to hope it doesn't come true." A knock came from his door and Leo came in.

"Master? May I come in." He asked. "Of course, Leonardo." Leo walked in and kneeled in front of him. "Sensei, y-you're not sick or anything, are you?" He asked which caught Splinter off guard. He was confused why his son would ask that.

"No. Why do you ask?" Leo played with his fingers nervously. "W-Well, you've been acting strange lately. You've been saying things like 'life is short and we should take advantage of it' and 'family is important so we shouldn't do things we'll regret because there might be a chance that it will be too late to make things right.'"

Leo then rubbed his arm. "I-I know you've said stuff like that before but it's more constant now. So, I just sorta been wondering if everything is ok, that you're ok?"

Splinter cursed himself for being so obvious and making his son worry. He didn't even realize he had been doing this, he just wanted to teach his sons how important life is before he might...no longer be a part of it himself. He was afraid mostly for his family.

Splinter smiled at him. "I am fine, Leonardo. I am sorry that I worried you. I have been acting this way because after I almost died in the undercity, I realized just how important life is." He lied.

Leo smiled. It made sense that after almost dying his Father would be acting strange. So, he accepted his answer much to Splinter's relief. "Ok, I was just wondering. I'll get out of your hair now." As Splinter watched him go he couldn't help but think what would happen if Shredder does kill him.

'How would they survive without me? They're still only children. They have grown, yes and have proved that they could handle any challenge but they still rely on me.'

Leonardo still depends on him to help him through his emotions and problems when he is lost. 'What if I'm gone and he would forever be lost?'

Raphael has gotten better at controlling his anger but he has thoughts and emotions he doesn't feel comfortable sharing with anyone other than Splinter. 'What if he goes back to losing control?'

Donatello still overworks himself when he thinks he needs to solve every problem and always needs Splinter to remind him that he can not and shouldn't pressure himself over things he can not control. 'What if he will be more determined to solve problems before they even happen?'

Michelangelo still clings to him like a child when he is scared or lonely. To this day he still sleeps in his bed when he has a nightmare. 'What if he will forever feel lonely?'

April comes to him for advice when she can not ask her own Father or anyone else for that matter. 'What if she struggles figuring out what to do?'

Casey has Fatherly issues he has shared with Splinter and Raphael. He is scared that he will turn into his father and sometimes vents to Splinter when he is upset about something at home. 'What if he loses himself.'

Finally, Miwa. She's still lost and reckless. Splinter tried talking to her but...it didn't turn out like he hoped. He blamed himself, he should have been there for her when she needed him. Out of all his children, she's the one who needs him the most but he is too much of a coward to be an actual father to her. 'What if she becomes more lost when I'm gone?'

Splinter growled in frustration and shook his head. "There is no need to think about this now." He scolded himself before sighing. "You must enjoy every bit of time with them while you can...before it is too late."

"So, he knew he was going to die?" I asked Yuuta. "He knew something terrible was going to happen to him but he did not know when or how." He replied and then a new memory appeared.

It was the fight at the Wolf Hotel building. April, Slash, Raph, and Casey were injured while Splinter was still fighting Shredder. He tripped him over the building feeling relieved he had won and was still standing. "Yes! You did it, Sensei!" Raph cheered while April laughed.

Splinter felt so thankful to still be standing here with them. "My family." Suddenly, April's eyes widened. "Oh no. Splinter!" She tried to warn.

Splinter turned to see Shredder about to strike. He quickly tried to dodge but something pushed him back. He looked to see a dark shadowy figure smiling evilly at him. 'No.'

Was his last thought before the blades went through his chest and everything started to go black. All he could hear were the cries of his family which hurt him more than any blade ever could.

"What is that shadow thing?" I asked. I see it in every one of my dreams and I wanted answers. "I do not know but whoever it is desires your Father." Another memory appeared and it was Splinter waking up inside a wooden crate.

He did not understand what was happening until he finally remembered what happened and his eyes snapped open. He looked at his chest and was confused to see that there was no wound. "H-How am I still alive? I should have died!"

He was very confused and even more so that he was in a wooden crate then it hit him. His sons must have buried him, thinking he was dead. Splinter had to get out of here before he was dead. He kept punching the top of the crate. His knuckles were bleeding but he didn't care, he had to get back to his family. He then punched a hole and dirt poured all over. He almost choked but he managed to rip the hole big enough so he can go through and climb out. He finally made it out and looked around. He was at April's farmhouse. His sons told him about this place, it was miles away from the city.

"Lovely." He said sarcastically. How was he going to get back? He could look through the house to see if there was a phone but he doubted there was one in there.

"I am going to have to walk all the way back to New York city." He said, annoyed. He tried to stand up but his legs were still a bit numb so he fell. He mostly had to use his upper strength to climb out of the dirt.

That made him wonder how long he was down there. He looked around. Judging by the cold temperature and the colored leaves it was Fall. Splinter's eyes widened. "Four months, I have been down there for four months." He was so worried about his family. He had to make a plan and get back to them as soon as possible.

"I have to get out of here."

"I'm afraid you won't be going anywhere." A voice came from above. Splinter looked up to see two cloaked figures standing on the trees. They jumped down and approached him. "Our Master didn't put you in a coma for nothing ya know." One of them said. "Sorry, it took so long to find you. The Master never expected them to bury you so far away from the city." The other said.

Splinter didn't know what to do. He couldn't fight. He was too weak. "What do you mean coma? I was stabbed in the chest."

"Oh, yeah, the Master only made it look like you were stabbed. The blade didn't even go through you."

Splinter couldn't believe this. He felt the blades go through him and he fell hard on the ground but there was no wound anywhere so they couldn't be lying. But why would they do that? What do they want with him? "Anyway we should get you to him now."

Before Splinter could react they shot him with a tranquilizer and once again everything went black. The strange door then closed and disappeared.

"Wait, where did they take him?" Yuuta sighed. "I do not know the exact location but I know it is somewhere in the mountains that is a couple miles away from the farmhouse." He said while showing me a picture of the mountains.

"So what am I supposed to do?" I asked and Yuuta turned to me. "I am afraid I can not answer that. It is up to you now." I looked at him confused and then I started to fade away. "Good luck, Miwa."

...

I jolted awake and looked outside for a second before running out and grabbing a shovel. "It can't be true. It had to be just another stupid dream." I started digging in my Father's grave. It felt like forever but I finally felt the crate. Finally building the courage. I threw the shovel and used my hands to clear off the dirt.

I gasped. There was a big hole and claw marks. The inside was empty, there was nothing. "Oh my god. It's true, he's alive."

Why didn't I see a hole on the ground? Then I remembered what those guys said. If those guys knew who Splinter was then they would know who we are. They must have filled the hole so we would never know.

I growled and went back inside. I grabbed my backpack full of supplies and weapons. I put on my old armor that I haven't worn in a while. I saw my phone. For a minute I thought about calling the turtles but who knows if Splinter dies before I get there, I don't want to get their hopes up, they probably wouldn't even believe me anyway. Plus, this is a chance for me to make things right with Splinter.

I started walking in the forest. "Hang on, Father. I'm coming for you."
