Adrian

Adrian stood with his father outside waiting for Alpha Ray to arrive. The runaway humans had been found. Two were in cells in the dungeons and one was in the infirmary. Adrian had not seen any of the humans since they were brought here but he knew his father was furious at the two in the cells.

Four black Hummers arrived outside the packhouse. The doors opened and Alpha Ray along with several of his warriors got out.

"Welcome to Timber Wolf pack, Alpha Stone." Alpha Jasper said with fierce look.

Alpha Ray Stone raised an eyebrow before responding with a frown. "Thank you for your help, Alpha Till."

The two stared at each other sternly before smiling and hugging.

"I'm glad to have you here even if it's for these circumnutates. How is my sister?" Jasper asked with a smile.

Ray sighed good naturally. "Well. She is ready for the twins to be born. With these two, that makes 8 children. We have our six boys and now my mate has her twin girls, we have decided to stop."

Jasper laughed. "I'm glad my wife decided to stop after our 5th and 6th children. I was pleased to have my two sons but two sets of twin girls mean quadruple the tea parties and shopping trips."

Adrian sighed. "At least you didn't have to sit through them wanting to practice makeup on you or have you pretending to be the prince, and pretend that Anthony and I are the ones begged to play princess and prince with them."

Alpha Ray laughed. "Believe it or not but it's going to be something I'm looking forward to. The boys are looking forward to the girls as well."

The man sighed before giving a serious look to his brother in law. "So what can you tell me about the humans?"

Jasper sighed shaking her head. "Follow me. I will explain while we go to the infirmary."

Ray's eyes widened. "Infirmary?!"

Jasper wrapped an arm around Ray's shoulders. "It's a long story."

Adrian watched his dad and uncle walk into the building. It was going to be a long day.

"Adrian, come with us? You need to observe." Alpha Jasper said from the door.

"Yes, Alpha." Adrian said with a nod following his father.

Infirmary

Healer Razer frowned as he checked the temperature on his human patient, Jessie. She fever was starting to spike again.

"Nurse Suzan, give her a shot of Acetaminophen. Her fever is rising." Healer Razer said with a frown.

"Yes Healer Razer." Suzan said with a sigh.

They had been fighting with this fever for two days now. Just when they thought they had beaten it, it would spike again.

Suzan injected the medicine before taking the rag from Jessie's head and exchanging it for a cool rag.

They both glanced at the door as it opened. Alpha Jasper, Alpha Ray and Adrian entered the room walking toward them.

Alpha Ray looked furious. He rushed over once he saw the human. "How is she?"

Razer sighed. "She had a bad case of hypothermia from the cold water. We were able to push that back. We are fighting a fever that will not break."

Alpha Ray growled in anger. He had been worried about what would happen to the younger girl but he never expected Vivian to sacrifice and almost kill her cousin to escape. His eyes tightened when he noticed the dark bruise on her wrist. He reached out to touch it only to stop at a deep growl.

The alphas, healer and nurse turned to see Adrian standing there with a furious look on his face. His eyes were black.

Alpha Jasper took a step toward his son. "Adrian?"

Adrian's eyes glared at Alpha Ray. In a grunting deep voice. "Mine. My Mate. Don't touch my MATE."

Everyone's eyes widened.

Alpha Ray sighed. "Calm yourself, Adrian. I am not going to hurt your mate."

"Calm down son. It's only your uncle. He is just checking on the girl." Alpha Jasper said in a soothing voice. "Deep breath. That's it."

Adrian took several deep breaths before his wolf let him take control. "Dad, Uncle. I'm so sorry."

Alpha Ray shook his head with a sad smile. "It's not your fault Adrian. Congratulations on finding your mate. I'm sure with the proper training Jessie will make an amazing Luna."

Adrian smiled and moved to the other side of Jessie's bed glancing at his mate. He found her and couldn't wait to get to know her.

Alpha Ray turned to Healer Razer. "What happened to her wrist?"

Razer sighed. "She had it before she came here."

Ray nodded before turning to Alpha Jasper. "I will need to meet with my other two human runaways and fill out paperwork to transfer Jessie here. Jessie's family will probably like a pass to come see their daughter."

Jasper nodded his head. "I can give you a pass for them. Follow me to my office and I will have the other two sent for. Adrian, I assume you are staying with your mate?"

Adrian nodded his head as he stared at his mate.

The two alphas left and Adrian took a seat before taking his mate's hand. He would help her adjust to her new home and a life with him. No matter what.

Alpha Jasper's Office

The two alphas sat in the office waiting for the human prisoners. On the table were pictures of persons being tortured. They both recognized the pictures.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

"Enter." Alpha Jasper said sternly.

Beta Lester opened the door moving to the side. Vivian Walter came in with her head held high while Renee Cook came in with her head slightly lowered. The women were dressed in orange jumpsuits with body chains keeping their hands to their side and chains on their ankles to keep them from running.

The two women were forced to kneel before the two alphas. Warriors from both packs crowded the room staring at the women.

"I'm not sure where to start with you two. I can ask you about the fact you two convinced your 15-year-old cousin to become a fugitive with you by possibly using these pictures from the original detention camps from 2028. I can ask about you trying to kill your cousin by throwing her into a river whose temperature was almost to the freezing point. I can also ask you about how you managed to get weapons that were supposed to be destroyed a long time ago. Which would you like to speak about first?" Alpha Ray said with a glare.

Vivian's eyes shot up and she spit at the wolf. "Fuck you."

Renee stared in shock at her cousin. She had never seen Vivian like this.

Alpha Ray snorted. "I see. You two should realize you are in a lot of trouble. You have a choice. You can speak and be sent to the rehabilitation center in Arkansas or you can refuse and be sent to rehabilitation centers in Mexico or South America."

Vivian's eyes widened in shock while Renee shook in fear.

Everyone heard the rumors of what went down further south. The wolves there were crueler than the American wolves. If the horrible heat or deadly animals didn't break you than the treatment from the wolves would. They believed in harsh labor and a strict diet to break a rebellious spirit. Hard backbreaking work from sunup to sundown. Bland food that lacked taste and the amount of food was enough to keep you healthy but not enough to feel completely full or overstuffed. Sleeping outside in camping tents with only sleeping nets to protect you from weather and bugs at night. It was said that the rehabilitation camps were like being in hell and those who experienced it came out changed for the better or worse depending on who you spoke to. No one wanted to be sent down there.

Vivian glared and spit at Alpha Ray.

Renee gasped as Alpha Ray wiped the spit away. "I see. I will speak with King Jose Rodriguez about you two wishing to experience rehabilitation down in his country."

"NOOO" Renee yelled out in fear jerking forward. A guard grabbed the girl's shoulders to keep her from moving forward. It didn't stop the girl from squealing her guts about what she knew. "I'll talk. Please don't send me there. It was all her idea. She came up with the plans, contacts and weapons. I had no idea she was going to do that to Jessie. The only thing I'm guilty of is fleeing."

Vivian glared in anger. "SHUT UP. HE'S LYING. RODRIQUEZ WOULDN'T TAKE US."

Alpha Ray glanced over to the corner of the room. "I don't think she believes me?"

The guards moved to show a werewolf sitting there calmly. "How interesting, Senor Ray?"

The two women's eyes widened as they stared at the werewolf sitting there with a smug face. "I believe, senor, senorita Vivian will not be a help here. She is too obstinada or, in your language stubborn. She is like a mule who will not listen. I believe I will take custody of her, yes?"

Alpha Ray nodded his head with a frown.

King Rodriquez waved his hand to the soldiers beside him. "Prepare her for our flight, Guerreros."

Two of the guards walked over, pulled the woman to her feet and forced her to walk.

"GET OFF ME YOU BASTERDS. I'M NOT GOING ANYWHERE. LET ME GO." Vivian screamed in anger twisting and kicking.

The guards just smirked at the human and dragged the human out the door.

Renee sat there white as a ghost. The people in the office could hear Vivian's screams for a few minutes until it disappeared.

"Now, how about we start at the top of my list, Miss. Cook. Where did you get these pictures and how did you convince your cousin to run with you?" Alpha Ray said with a frown.

Tears ran down Renee's face. She had to protect herself even if it meant betraying her cousin and best friend.
