"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Lincoln screamed as he soared through the air before landing in the branches of a large tree which swayed as soon as he crashed into it. "...Ouch…" Lincoln groaned as he slowly slid down the trunk. He landed onto a branch near the bottom of the trunk as Neo slowly floated downwards. Looking at the tree, she noticed Lincoln's dangling leg shifting her body weight; she went over to the tree and gently grabbed Lincoln's ankle. "WHOA!" he gasped as Neo landed on the ground and gently dropped him onto his back.

"Ugh…my head…." He groaned, rubbing his head in pain as he slowly stood up on shaky legs. "Ugggh…oh man. Thanks for the save." he smiled as he dusted himself off. "I'm Lincoln." he spoke, holding his hand out for Neo to shake as with a flick of her wrist Neo took out a business card from her sleeve and handed it to him. "Neopolitan 'Neo' for short,: Rank 5 huntress, Mute and Cute Ice Cream specialist." he read.

She nodded while giving a wink and peace sign, throwing him off guard.

"Wow, I….never actually met an ice cream specialist. Kinda thought those were made up." he chuckled slightly as she playfully rolled her eyes and opened up her umbrella, allowing a gust of wind to take her into the air just as Lincoln realized something. "Hey wait! Maybe we should stick together, we don't wanna get lost!" Lincoln shouted running after her.

Neo held a hand to her chin, looking up in thought without making a move to let Lincoln catch up.

"I mean, we just met, so we could use this chance to get to know each other!" he exclaimed before he came across a strange marble pedestal with a Black Rook chess piece sitting on top of it. "Hey, what's that doing here?" he wondered as he grabbed it and was unaware that someone was sneaking up on him. "Huh…maybe this is why Ozpin sent us all out here?" he muttered. Before he could put it in his pocket someone had smashed something against his head causing him to fall over. Before he blacked out, he could make out the figure of Lynn.

"Huh…that's weird; Tv lied to me, he's supposed to say ow and THEN fall over!" Lynn frowned. She tossed the rock to the side and walked over to the rook, giving a grin while Neo had landed and stood to the side, looking curious. "Eh, whatever, I got it first!" she smirked as she placed two fingers in her mouth and whistled loudly. "Hey guys! I got one of the pieces!" she called out as her teammates all ran up to her

"Sweet! First one's here! We rule!" grinned a boy with short head hair that looked close to a buzzcut. He wore a tanned open vest over a white t-shirt with a pair of blue overalls with the knee parts ripped, with black leather gloves on.

"Ugh, Lynn, did you have to knock the kid out?" groaned a Girl with silvery black hair wearing a red iron mesh top and a golden blue battle skirt carrying a scepter with a blue gem at the base.

"Aw come on, that was awesome!" snickered another boy who looked just like the first; minus the red hair in a mohawk style with a pair of blue gloves, and who seemed to have a more empty look to his eyes. "Let's do it again."

Hearing this made Lynn chuckle. "Later meatheads, right now we need to get this piece back to Ozpin! If we get their first we'll have first crack at Obleck's class come tomorrow!"

"And private rooms with bunk beds." remarked the second boy before the first one slapped him. "Yeow! Hey, watch it!"

"Then don't be a dope."

"I'm not a dope, you're the dope!" the brothers growled before they began to shove and fight each other, making Lynn's eye twitch.

"Damashi?" the sporty girl spoke as the taller girl rolled her eyes and zapped them both with her scepter. They fell down while looking slightly singed. "Thank you."

"No need, it was my pleasure." she smirked as the group walked off just as Neo came out of hiding with a frown on her face. She looked over at Lincoln and hefted him onto her shoulders and began to walk off deeper into the forest.

Said boy groaned in his sleep, his mind noting he was moving, but for some reason, his legs weren't. Ah, he was probably dreaming. That made sense.

*elsewhere*

Ruby and Weiss were going through the forest themselves after a….well crashing moment.

"Unbelievable…" grumbled Weiss as Ruby tried to smile.

"On the upside, at least it didn't take us long to find someone." Ruby spoke, trying to lighten the mood.

"Do NOT say anything right now." Weiss snapped until they heard a loud scream coming from up ahead.

"Oh no! Someone's in trouble!" Ruby quickly ran ahead as Weiss rolled her eyes and followed after her

"What idiot would get in trouble THIS early on?" Weiss grumbled as they came across Celeste trying to fight off a massive Ursa using a whip made of bladed metal.

"BACK YOU UGLY BEASTS! BACK!" She growled, slashing one across the face, making it roar. "I'LL SHOW ALL OF YOU WHO IS IN CONTROL!"

Weiss could only roll her eyes and scoff."'Of course a Notelington like her would get into trouble…I say we leave her"

"But we can't just leave her, we need to help." Ruby spoke up with a frown.

"If she wants to make noise and attract even more Grimm, then let's just leave her to her business and focus on what WE need to get done." Weiss said as she turned around to leave only for Ruby to grab her arm.

"No way! We're helping her now!" Ruby pulled Weiss along and drew out her scythe and jumped towards one of the Ursa and cut off its head.

"What's this?" Celeste muttered as Weiss stabbed another Ursa before freezing the last one solid.

"There, you're welcome." huffed Weiss while giving an annoyed glare to Ruby who gave a smile.

"Ugh..I had to be saved by a Schnee of all People!...but still; girl in red? I give YOU my gratitude for the assistance." Celeste spoke

"No problem, it's part of why we came here; to help those in need." Ruby chuckled as Neo walked into the clearing with Lincoln draped over her shoulders. "Oh! Hi there!"

Neo gave a smile and waved back all while Lincoln gave a small groan.

"Ugh…my Head? Where am I?"

"Lincoln!" Ruby shouted

Shaking his head, he looked over and smiled. "Hey Ruby, what are-wait, why are you carrying me?" he asked Neo, taking note of his position.

Neo simply pointed to his head making him remember what happened.

"Oh yeah…Lynn knocked me out" he held the spot and groaned, in annoyance and pain. "I can't believe she'd stoop that low and hit me from behind." he sighed as Neo placed him on the ground with Ruby was confused.

"Wait…Lynn? Your sister did this to you?' she asked

"Yeah! Right when I found a chess piece." he groaned as Celeste reached into her pocket and pulled out a white pawn chess piece.

"Hmmmm, similar to this?" she asked.

"Yeah, except it was black." Lincoln said as Weiss placed a finger on her chin.

"Now why would Ozpin send us out here to find chess pieces?' she muttered

"Maybe it's some kinda scavenger hunt." suggested Ruby as Neo gave a nod agreeing with her

"So we just need to find more pieces than the others? Easier said than done." remarked Lincoln as a loud screech could be heard from above them making the group flinch as they saw a massive Nevermore with someone on top of the beast trying to stab its eyes out..

"Then let's get to finding." spoke Weiss, already making her way to keep moving and ignore the Grimm.

"Hey! Wait, we gotta help that guy!" Lincoln exclaiming pointing at the Nevermore

"What we need is to try and find those pieces. This whole test is to TEST us and see if we have what it takes, right? So how can we pass it if we stop and help someone else who we're working against?" she questioned with her hands on her hips.

"Because it's the right thing to do. If we're gonna become Hunters and huntresses then we need to put the needs of others beyond our own, right?" Lincoln asked looking around at the others.

"You said it." nodded Ruby.

"The boy is correct, competing or not we need to help him…honestly I wouldn't expect a Schnee to know about the good of helping now would I?" Celeste taunted as Weiss felt her eye twitch in rage. "Or perhaps you're too worried about getting your little dress dirty doing actual work."

Lincoln and Ruby gave a snicker as Neo covered her mouth and gave a silent laugh.

"Grrrrr Fine! We'll save him!" Weiss relented with a red face. "But don't blame me when I say I told you so!" she spoke as she drew out her sword; at least until they saw the nevermore get split in half by a large red blade and the figure that was in its mouth fell to the ground and landed on their feet, creating a massive cloud of dust.

"Oh…that…saved time." Ruby spoke, shocked at what she just saw.

The dust began to settle as a Tall boy with black skin and black dreadlocks stood up, wearing a yellow long sleeved shirt that had numerous black roots inscribed into the fabric with silver mesh gloves with serrated fingertips gloves and two belts criss-crossing around his waist. What really stood out about him was the large Chain sickle he wielded and his red and dark violet eyes with pure white pupils in the center.

"...sup." he greeted the girls and one boy staring at him in silence.

"Uhhhhhhh…Hi?" Weiss spoke uneasily as he twirled his weapons and sheathed them into a large mirror he had on his back.

"The Name's Marshall Sanglant." he smiled.

"THAT WAS AMAZING!" Ruby cried out with stars in her eyes as she rushed over to him.

"Uhhhhh. Thanks? So…I take it you guys are heading back to Beacon too?" he asked.

"Why? We haven't found all the pieces yet." Lincoln spoke up. "I almost got one, until my sister stole it…" Lincoln said uneasily as Marshall reached into his pocket and pulled out a chess piece and tossed it to Lincoln.

"Here catch!"

Lincoln was caught off guard and nearly dropped the white chess piece before looking at Marshall. "Wait, you're just giving it away?"

"No I'm just giving you the second piece I had found, that's all. I still have the one I found earlier, it's why that stupid bird grabbed me; it must've seen the shine coming off of it"

"So you're already finished?" asked Weiss while rubbing her chin. "So all we need is to get one and that means we pass, huh?"

"Yeah….I assume that's why we've been…" Marshall was cut off by Weiss slashing her sword in his vicinity. "WHOA!"

"Hey, easy!" Lincoln cried out in alarm.

"What's your problem!?" Marshall snapped as he dodged a sword swipe from Celeste.

"Hand over the piece or I'll show you what my might feels like." ordered Celeste with narrowed eyes.

Marshall just simply sighed. "Now hold on Ladies…this is smoke NEITHER of you want" he warned.

"Smoke?" Ruby tilted her head with Neo shrugging her shoulders.

"It means Trouble Ruby." Lincoln explained.

"Beautiful girls or not, you wanna start something? I'll finish it." he explained cracking his knuckles.

"Please you two! This isn't the time for fighting." Lincoln tried to talk some sense into them.

Celeste placed her sword in front of Lincoln to silence him. "Stay out of this!" she warned as in the blink of an eye she rushed Marshall.

"Alright, you get your first turn!" He jumped back to avoid a slash aimed at his midsection before grabbing a rock from the ground and flicking his wrist, sending it flying near her right shoulder.

She twisted her body to avoid the rock, but held her blade up right as she found him lunging and bringing his sickle down, both blades clashing together.

"I don't know what crawled up your butt, but starting a fight with a guy who just took down a Grimm is not exactly the brightest thing to do." he quipped with a smirk as he dodged Weiss who blindside him.

"Give us the pieces and we'll stop." she told while switching out dusts in her blade to ice.

"Hmmm, nah." he shoved Celeste back and backflipped away right as Weiss sent several icicle chunks at the spot with a thrust. "Sorry princess, but I ain't some help you can boss around."

"Please stop it!" Ruby called out while Neo leaned on her umbrella, enjoying the fight as Marshall spun the chain end of his weapon and hurled it at Celeste with it wrapping around the blade and tugged, but Celeste smirked and used the tension to lunge and aim the tip towards his chest.

"Woah!" he dove to the side before swinging the sickle up and narrowly stopped Weiss' own thrust, but barely. "Yo dude! Mind helping me out!?" he exclaimed to Lincoln.

'I don't have a weapon!" Lincoln shouted.

"What?!" he let out before pushing Weiss back and ran towards a tree for cover. "Who comes to a hunter's school without a weapon?! That's like going to the beach without swimming trunks!" he shouted as he dodged another sword swipe. He reached into his pocket and looked at the two girls. "You want pieces? Take 'em! Heads up!" he pulled back and threw two chess pieces through the air and towards Neo.

"...Wait, you're just giving us the pieces?" Ruby asked confused as to why he was doing this.

Neo caught the pieces and saw Weiss and Celeste walking towards her.

"Alright, hand them over." ordered Weiss with a hand out.

Neo looked at them, then the pieces, then back at them while pointing to them.

"Yes, those." spoke Celeste.

Neo gave a devious smirk before gripping them in one hand and chucked them aside in a random direction in the forest.

"WHAT!?" Weiss and Celeste shouted as they glared at Neo who held up a sign that read, "My hand slipped"

Lincoln and Ruby had to stifle their snickers as the two rich girls scowled at the girl before they took off in the direction the pieces went.

"...Ugh honestly, those two were nuts!" Marshall sighed. "This is why I hate spoiled brats."

"...So Marshall, how'd you get enrolled?" Ruby asked.

"The same as everyone, isn't that how it goes?" he chuckled as he started to walk forward. "Come on let's go; we'll be safer if we travel together."

"Aww, but I wanted a backstory…" pouted Ruby making Neo chuckle as Lincoln realized something.

"Hey wait, shouldn't we wait for them?" Lincoln asked, referring to Weiss and Celeste.

"Hey, if you wanna stick around and see if they wanna gun for a second piece, go ahead." Marshall chuckled as Lincoln looked back and simply shrugged and ran up to the others; however before he did, he noticed something or someone was in the trees, but decided not to pay them any mind.

'Guess they're trying to make sure we'll be safe' Lincoln thought as he quickly caught up to the others.

*Later*

"Kinda surprised." remarked Ruby to the boys as they kept on walking through the forest until they arrived in a clearing full of ruins and pillars. "I was expecting way more Grimm the farther we went, like swarms of them."

"Yeah I killed a bunch of them before that Nevermore grabbed me. My folks raised me to kill grimm"

"So you've been training for years?" asked Lincoln as Marshall gave a nod.

"Ever since I was three years old"

"Holy cow, that's insane!" Ruby let out with her mouth dropping.

"Tell me about it. I know one hundred and fifty three ways to skin a deathstalker…..just don't ever ask about number twelve" he spoke cryptically.

"Why?" asked Lincoln.

"I said don't ask!" Marshall exclaimed.

"Now I wanna know too." Ruby chimed in.

"No asking!"

*EXPLODE EXPLODE EXPLODE!*

All of them turned their heads in the distance and saw clouds rising up with the ground shaking from explosions.

"That's gotta be Yang!" Ruby shouted

"Looks like she's having fun." Lincoln chuckled until a loud screech was heard and a massive nevermore bigger than the one that had Marshall in its beak was flying overhead all while the group could see Yang shooting her gauntlets into its mouth as another person was on the head stabbing out its eye.

"Today must be riding a Nevermore day." Marshall chuckled as he rushed off to help deal with it. He took the sickle end and started spinning it before pulling back and tossed it through the air.

"Hey wait!" Ruby shouted rushing after him as Lincoln took off running after them only to trip and fall on his face.

"Ow!" he winced, grabbing at his nose and hissing from the sting. As he opened his eyes, he saw something glimmer and twinkle from under a slab of marble. He was briefly distracted from the fight and looked at it curiously before making his way towards it. "What's this?" he muttered as he grabbed and pulled out a Ring made of shining Silverish gold with a Lavender oval shaped gem in the center of it. "A ring? Huh, kinda fancy looking, but what's it doing out here?" he muttered as Lincoln didn't know why, but he felt an odd attraction to the ring as something inside of him was telling him to put it on.

He looked around, seeing he was on his own, before sliding it on his right ring finger. "Wow, fits like a glove." he chuckled, not noticing the faint glow it was giving off.

"LINCOLN! WHERE ARE YOU!?" Ruby shouted as Lincoln quickly stood up and ran off to where he heard her voice.

"Coming Ruby!" Lincoln shouted as he made his way through the bush and saw Ruby and Marshall trying to fight back a pack of Beowolves.

"Looks like these pups need a swat on the rear." spoke Marshall ducking from a swipe before wrapping the chain part around the muzzle and yanking, pulling it's head down before stabbing it from the top.

"YOU *BANG!* NEED! *BANG* TO *BANG* LEARN *BANG* SOME MANNERS! *BANG!*" Yang shouted from above, still blasting shot after shot into the Nevermore's mouth all while the boy from earlier managed to rip out of its eyes using his bare hands.

"HA! Try flying with one eye, birdbrain!" he shouted with a smirk as the Nevermore let out a loud shriek before it shook both of them off, only for the boy to unwind his belt revealing it to be a long reptilian tail and grabbing its ankle. "I'm not gonna drop like a fly just yet!"

Yang rotated her body as she went falling, using her shots to propel herself and lighten the landing before she crashed on the back of a Beowolf, right before sending a shot right through it's head and making it disappear.

"WHOO! Nice one Yang!" Ruby cheered just as Weiss and Celeste crawled out of the bushes covered in leaves and twigs.

"You two okay?" Lincoln asked.

"Do we LOOK ok?" glowered Weiss while Celeste blew a leaf off her shoulder just as a Loud roar was heard and the beowolves all ran off in fear as a massive Ursa came stomping out just as the boy from before managed to server the head of the Nevermore and landed next to the others.

"Woah, Mama bear came by for a snack." remarked Marshall as he cracked his knuckles along with Yang.

"Oh yeah! Time to put Teddy down for hibernation!" Yang smirked, her hair erupting in flames.

"Save some for me, would ya?" spoke up Ruby, Crescent Rose at the ready.

Weiss and Celeste withdrew their respective swords as they all stood in front of Lincoln.

"Lincoln, stay behind us and be careful!" Ruby said as Lincoln gulped nervously.

"Don't have to tell me twice!" He backed up and watched as they rushed at the Ursa while both grateful for not fighting, but also left out and a little guilty. 'There's gotta be something I can do!' he thought, feeling frustrated that he couldn't do anything. As he gripped his hands, the ring started to give off a small shine that slowly grew in intensity, something everyone noticed including a nearby Deathstalker.

"Hey, what's with the light show?" asked the lizard tailed boy shielding his eyes.

While everyone was Distracted, Marshall took this opportunity to slice the ursa's head clean off, killing it instantly.

"Point for me." he smirked, giving the sickle a brief spin before joining the rest at looking at Lincoln who held his ring up with confusion.

"What's happening?!"Weiss asked as they all rushed over to see what Lincoln was up too.

"The ring!" he cried out, the light getting too bright for anyone to stare at it before it got so bright they closed their eyes.

Ruby managed to peer her eyes open a bit and saw through the light the deathstalker that was about to pounce on Lincoln. "LINCOLN! BEHIND YOU!"

Lincoln quickly turned around just as the claws of the beast were coming down, but much to everyone's shock Lincoln blocked the claws mid strike.

"What the hell?" Marshall got out as everyone saw he was holding a bo-staff in his hands.

Not just any Bo-staff, a Bo-Staff that look to be made of polygonal shapes and edges cobbled together with a serrated edge at the tip forming a trident shape

"Where in all of Vale did that come from?" questioned Celeste.

"I….I don't know, but I could use some help here!' Lincoln shouted trying to push the Deathstalker back.

"On it dude!" Marshall ran over before swinging his sickle, sending it out and landing a small cut on the Grimm, making it cry out and back up lightly before the rest ran over to help.

"Get back Lincoln! We'll handle this!" Yang shouted.

"Don't gotta tell me twice!" he back paddled away, taking the chance to look at the staff with awe and try to understand just where it came from.

*fifteen minutes later*

"Ah..ah…dang, that thing was rough." panted Yang.

"Please! I fought tougher when I was eight!" Marshall bragged as they all rolled their eyes.

"Anyway if no more Grimm are gonna attack us, I think I should introduce myself; the name's Oliver, Oliver farja." the boy with a reptile tail spoke.

"I'm Ruby, that's Yang, Weiss, Neo, Celeste, Marshall, and Lincoln." Ruby listed off their names all while Lincoln kept staring at the ring still trying to figure out how it works.

'Why did it glow like that? I don't see any buttons on it.' he thought as he snapped out of his trance when Ruby tapped his shoulder.

"You okay?"

"Oh! Yeah, yeah, just a bit…winded, that's all." Lincoln chuckled nervously as he and the others continued making their way forward.

"Guys! Look, I see Beacon!" Yang shouted

All of them looked ahead and saw the school by looking through a window in the leaves from the trees, causing them to cheer out.

"We're almost there!" Ruby said, pumping her fist.

"Alright! Now we can!...ow!" Lincoln grunted clutching his head. "Migraine!" he hissed.

"Try sticking your thumb to the roof of your mouth, old trick." suggested Marshall.

"Lincoln? What's wrong?" Yang asked, concerned for her little friend.

"It's nothing Yang, my head still hurts a little from earlier that's all."

"...Earlier?" she asked Looking towards Ruby who gave a nervous smile.

"Oh uhhh, Lincoln tripped and hit his head on a rock!" Ruby knew if Yang found out what really happened she would freak out. She already had it out for Lynn anyway and this would just make things worse; which is an outcome Ruby did not wanna see ... .now Neo on the other hand…

"Yeah, rock." Lincoln added on, trying to give a reassuring smile.

Neo rolled her eyes and pulled out a sign that read. "His sister knocked him out"

"SHE DID WHAT?!" Yang let out with wide eyes, making Ruby glower at Neo with Lincoln paling.

"Neo!" Ruby scolded as the Ice cream girl shrugged and flipped her sign over to the back which read. "I tell it like it is"

"Ooooooh! That Girl; when I get my hands on her I'm gonna wring her neck!" Yang growled her eyes and hair glowing in rage.

"Now Yang, just calm down, why don't we just let Ozpin deal with this?" Lincoln suggested.

"Oh she can deal with it, AFTER I knock her into space!" Yang growled as they heard the sounds of rustling coming from the trees.

"Yeah I'm pretty sure you're already on thin ice for that fight you two started yesterday" a voice spoke from above and Blake jumped down.

"Yipe!" Ruby jumped, landing in Weiss' arms from surprise.

"Hey, you're that Belladonna girl…Blake right?" Marshall asked.

"The very same, and you all went through one heck of a time." she spoke dusting herself off as Weiss gave a scowl.

"Wait so you saw us? And didn't bother to help?"

"Honestly? From what I saw you guys handled yourselves just fine without me" she replied cooly with the heiress glaring at her. "Besides, after what you and her did just to get ahead? Didn't wanna make you think I was gonna take the pieces." she remarked while nodding to Celeste.

"Well…..she has a point." Celeste said as Weiss dropped Ruby.

"However, I'm more surprised at how Lincoln here was the only one to notice me." she said as they all looked at Lincoln.

"Uhhhh yeah, I saw her earlier"

"And you were going to tell us when exactly?" asked Weiss with her arms crossed.

"Probably after you and the princess were done rolling around the bushes." read Neo's sign, giving a smug look making Ruby giggle.

"Anyway guys, let's head back to the school and see why Ozpin thought it was a good idea to launch a bunch of kids into a grimm infested forest." Yang grumbled.

"I thought you liked it?" questioned Ruby.

*Later at Beacon*

The students had all gathered and made their way to the school's courtyard where they saw their classmates waiting at the foot of a large stage.

"Looks like others made it out alive." Blake casually remarked. "Guess there'll be competition."

"Ain't no contest on saving people." remarked Marshall as he flinched from a loud laugh.

"HAHAHAHAHAHA! YES! WE WERE HERE FIRST SUCKERS!" Lynn bragged as she and her teammates all high-fived each other.

Seeing this made Yang growl as she stomped over and tapped Lynn's shoulder who turned around and was greeted by a fist slamming itself into her face and knocking her clean out.

"...Huh, that's weird, she's supposed to say ow and THEN fall over…TV lied to me!" Yang grumbled, cracking her knuckles and wiping the blood off her hand.

"Dang! Now that's what I call Pow Right in the Kisser!" spoke Oliver while laughing and slapped his knee.

"Hey blondie what the hell was that for!?" Dudley growled as Yang rolled her eyes.

"That's what she gets for bullying her brother. You wanna try and step in? Go ahead, I'd be glad to put you down next." she smirked, making him back down. "Yeah, that's what I thought." Yang spoke, marching back over to her group. "There ya go Lincoln; if she or her lackeys over there give you any problems let me know and I'll teach'em the meaning of eating through a straw!" Yang said, slapping Lincoln on his back.

"Heh, uh thanks Yang." he smiled, while at the same time dreading what Lynn's reaction was gonna be when she woke up.

Before the others could say anything else, they all saw Ozpin walking onto the massive stage.

"For all students of Beacon, I want to congratulate you all for passing the test. I know it wasn't easy for most of you, and others it was more than you could handle, but for those who did? Know that this is just the first of many steps when it comes to the life of a hunter. It will be hard, but it will help shape you into mighty warriors who will help shape the future of Remnant." she explained with a small chuckle. "But for now, I think you all have earned a nice warm meal. Everyone head to the mess hall for dinner and come tomorrow; we shall discuss grouping you all into Teams."

The crowd cheered out at the sound of relaxing, dispersing off for their own groups and cliques while Lincoln let out a sigh of relief as he found his face being shoved into Yang's bust.

"C'mon guys! Let's get some grub!"

"Yeah!" Ruby pumped her fist up with Weiss crossing her arms and looking upset.

"It seems silly to just wait until the next day. If we're going to be grouped up, the sooner the better in my eyes." she sighed as Celeste rolled her eyes.

"Honestly I never thought I'd say this, but the Schnee is right"

"It's called taking a break from what happened. I say take it while we got it." Blake spoke up as she headed off to the mess hall following the crowd.

"I could eat." Marshall tossed in with a chuckle as he straightened his gloves; however when he did, Lincoln noticed the bottom of his wrists were pink and scaley.

"Uh, Marshall?"

"Yeah Linc?"

"Is that a rash on your wrists?" he asked as Marshall paused and gave a nervous chuckle.

"Uhhhhhh yeah, a rash." he said as Blake stopped walking and quickly turned around as she noticed Lincoln shrug.

"Well okay." Lincoln said as Ruby grabbed his hand.

"Let's go Lincoln!" she cheered happily as she quickly zipped off with Weiss, Neo, and Celeste quickly following after them; leaving Blake and Marshall alone.

"...So…when were you going to tell them?" he asked her as she gave him a cold look.

"I don't know what you mean"

"I'm not blind ya know. It's not that hard to tell something's off when a bow seems to move indoors without any wind blowing." he smirked as she simply glared at him and gave him a smirk of her own.

"I'll tell them…when you do"

"Tell them what?" he asked nervously.

"That 'rash' of yours." she said. "I know a fellow faunus when I see one"

"Hey, it's not my fault my wrist is itchy; it's hereditary." he insisted as she simply shook her head.

"Keep telling them that." she spoke before walking off.

*Later that night*

Lincoln was laying in bed, simply staring out the window and looking at the moon, something Blake noticed from her own bed.

"Something wrong Lincoln?" she asked, snapping him out of his thoughts.

"Oh, it's nothing important."

"You sure? You don't sound like it's anything important." she said, making him sigh.

"Well…..honestly I'm just shocked is all. I never in my life thought I'd be here let alone be training under Ozpin herself" he explained running his hand through his hair.

"It is pretty big and a lot to take in, but I wouldn't get too worried about it." she responded as he leaned back onto his pillow.

"Maybe you're right Blake…maybe you're right" he smiled as he draped his blanket over his body and turned around to the window, slowly closing his eyes.

*Elsewhere*

While night had settled in, the Town was quiet; all except for one lone person hopping from rooftop to rooftop before landing on top of the roof of a nightclub along with two other people.

A woman with green hair and another with silver hair observed by the shadows as they were following a woman wearing a white trench coat and wearing a bowler which covered a mop of red hair.

"How much longer?" whispered the silver haired one.

"Soon." the woman spoke as they looked up at the moon and noticed a silhouette floating down to them, this being none other than Neo who landed and gave the three a small bow before walking up to the woman and kissing her hand. "Glad to see you're in one piece Neo, run into any trouble?" she asked as Neo held up a sign that read: "No trouble at all. I DID however manage to get what we came for, want it?"

"I wouldn't be doing my job if I rejected it." the woman remarked with a smile.

Neo reached into her back pocket and pulled out a file containing the stuff she wanted.

"Excellent! This is the start of the payday of the century!" the woman smirked as she pulled out a Cigar and lit it, but not before she handed the file to the other two. "Make sure this Gets to Cinder and tell her to make sure Taurus contacts me. I have an Idea for the Faunus in Beacon and I'll need his special brand of 'expertise' to pull it off" she smirked.

"Relax, we'll get it to her easy." replied the green haired girl taking the file.

"Excellent. Now then, Neo stay in your position and make sure you wait for phase 2" the woman spoke as Neo gave a small nod. "By the end of the summer, Ozpin will be dead, this I assure you ladies"

"If she's not, you can deal with Cinder personally." remarked the silver haired girl with her arms crossed.

"Relax, I'm a woman of my word. I get results every time." she smirked as Neo giggled and quickly made her way back to Beacon.
