Chapter 4 Little cupcakes

Iziah;

While Raven was locked safely in her cupboard, hopefully not getting into trouble she thought she would get some bacon chips, maybe stop in at her favourite bar and have a few shots, she was also secretly hoping that Drew didn't encourage her sister to act on her insane ramblings, she could see Raven now, up on the roof with a baseball bat trying to kill the samarais trying to overtake her brain, while Drew sat there laughing his ass off. But as always the plan was destroyed because someone decided that killing a child was the right life path.

Iziah got into work and went to her office, not many people believed that Iziah had actually gone to medical school and had achieved the rank of Dr. Not that she wanted to be called that, she was just happy she was able to cut people open without people yelling at her. The only part of her job she hated was cutting open children or the ederly, but she was always the one told to do it, her collegues couldn't handle it apparently, cutting open a child or old person was nothing to someone like Iziah. They were wrong. She let out an annoyed sigh, knowing that the ten year old boy on her table shouldn't be kept waiting. He had waited enough.

As she always did before starting her work, she put her hands together and prayed, normally praying wasn't something Iziah did, if there was deity she did pray too, it would be Satan, but on this one occasion, she talked to God, just to make sure that the innocent boy on her table got to where he was going. For a moment she just stared down at his little face, he looked peaceful, like he was sleeping which was one of the hardest things she ever had to do, and the worst part was she knew it wouldn't be the last time she had to do this.

After what seemed like an eternity, Iziah was done, she completed her notes and made sure he was safely in his ice box. She went back to her office hoping that she hadn't missed any calls from Drew stating that something had happened to her sister, although this would be the time that Raven would wind up hurt, when Iziah was all ready feeling like shit. She flicked on the light walking up to her desk feeling the smile drop onto her face before she could stop it. Sitting on her papers in the middle like a proud centerpeice was a cupcake. She picked it up and peeled back the blue casing, the scent of chocolate and coffee oozing into her nostrils.

"The hardest part was the vodka icing"

Iziah almost dropped the treat on the floor as that smooth Irish accent poured over her, she wasn't even aware that Sheamus knew where she worked but clearly he did and now he was here, smiling at her, his ginger hair somehow looking brighter. Quickly Iziah put her bitch mask back on, there was no way in hell she was going to let herself be attracted to Sheamus even if he did manage to make her whole day seem brighter. Even if every instinct she had said to give him a shot, Iziah refused to listen.

"You know stalkin is illegal right?"

"So you don't want the cupcake Iziah?" Sheamus held out his hand, knowing that Iziah would give it back just to prove some sort point to herself. He had wanted her the moment Drew introduced them, that was a while ago now but he figured a little more waiting wouldn't hurt. Iziah had at least stopped drawing weaponry on him, and had even stopped her death threats, to the twisted Irishman, that was real progress.

Instead she put it on her desk and stood in front of it like a protector, he could take it back i he could prise it from her cold dead hands.

"Of course I want it" She glared at him trying to resist the urge to hug him and to feel his ivory skin over her body. Iziah put her hands on the desk, resting her butt against the wood, so far it was mostly so she wouldn't leap at him, he had no idea just how close she was to melting, but as always Iziah would deny everything in front of her. It was better that way.

For a moment harsh silver just peered into ocean blue, tension could be cut with a knife, neither of them knowing what exactly what was going to happen. Too many conflicts ushered through her body, she was so close to walking over to him and punching him in the face, just to stop all those annoying urges, but his face was saved due to her boss calling her, needing her attention for something else.

"I'll let you get back to work lass" Still with that hint of a smile on his face, Iziah grabbed his arm, her duty could wait a moment, she managed to pull him close her arms wrapping around him in a hug. For a moment he had no idea what to do, but the more she held on the more he knew that right now she just needed a hug. His paw-like hand landed on her hair, feeling the silk strands under his fingers. Scents washing into his nostrils, memory being stored in his brain. Then the moment was gone, Iziah pulled away and said nothing as she strode away.

The ice queen was beginning to melt.
