Teyla looked kinda lost sitting on the bed in the infirmary. Dr. Beckett had just told her, she had some Wraith DNA in her. Xander knew from personal experience, how scared she must be feeling right now. He decided to talk to her and approached the bed.

"You were there in that Wraith holding cell when I told Sheppard I'd been unwillingly experimented on when I was a teenager. What I didn't mention then, was how scared I was, when I was told I might mutate because of that experiment. You know what Cordy said, when she found out? 'I'll put you my swimming pool and get you little toys'. She was determined to take care of me, regardless of what I turned into. We might never have been able to be together in the way that we wanted to be, but she would still have loved me. And I would have set her free, because I love her. You know what I see when I look at you, Teyla? Our friend, my teammate, a kick ass warrior woman, a caring leader, someone filled with compassion and common sense. You know what I don't see? A Wraith. You are not a monster, just because a piece of your DNA comes from one, anymore then I'm a mutated man, just because my DNA codes for unknown proteins that make me stronger then the average person or allow me to heal faster. It's like when I heard that noise coming from your necklace, you didn't know it was broadcasting a signal to the Wraith and you didn't know you had a piece of Wraith DNA in you. You're still you."

Later, when Teyla asked to explore a planet where stories about Wraith doing things other then eating them came from and they discovered a Wraith lab she could get into, Xander saw her courage again as she learned why she had a piece of Wraith DNA in her. Because a Wraith scientist had experimented on people who became her ancestors.

"They were unwillingly experimented on too." She murmured, softly. With his hearing the way it was, Xander heard her.

"Yes, and like you, they chose to use what it gave them to help people." He told her.

She smiled at him and said. "So have you. We really aren't that different are we? We may come from different galaxies, but our similarities are greater then our differences."

"True. When Beckett first told you about this, you got a little lost, now you're back. Welcome back, Teyla, we missed you."

She grinned and accepted her state of being. So she had some Wraith DNA. Didn't change who she was or how her team saw her.

The Daedalus with Earth's ZPM installed in it, was two days away from Atlantis, bringing supplies. Dr. Weir was running Cordelia ragged as the two worked to finalize all of the departments reports to send back to Earth. Then McKay noticed a sensor reading showing four Wraith hive ships enroute toward Atlantis. AG 1 left to warn one of the worlds in the Wraith's path and help them evacuate. Given the amount of time they had, they were able to safely evacuate the entire population. Which relieved Teyla no end, because that community's leader was an old friend of her father's.

Knowing the Wraith intended to attack Atlantis and the ZPM they had would protect the city, not to mention the automatic weapons systems they'd discovered when they plugged it in, they were sure they'd be fine until the Daedalus arrived, but that didn't mean they weren't brain storming ways of slowing down or taking out the hive ships before they arrived in order to improve their odds.

When the scientists told them about a weapons platform at the Lagrange point, Dr. Weir agreed to let McKay and Peter Grodin attempt to repair it. Sheppard flew the two scientists to the satellite and they began working to repair it. What no one saw, was a tiny glowing ball of energy, hovering over one of the repairs McKay had done, consequently, no one knew, just how close Peter Grodin had come to dying that day. McKay misrouted the power to the docking area. Which means Peter would have been unable to get back to the jumper before the Wraith arrived. As it was, he and McKay were safely aboard the jumper when the Wraith did arrive and although the repairs had not held long enough to take out more then one hive ship before the Wraith destroyed the satellite, it was still one less hive ship that Atlantis would have to deal with.

Between the drone weapons and the automatic firing system, they were able to take out another one as well, before the Daedalus arrived. When Colonel Caldwell ordered the Wraith to either surrender or withdraw, the Wraith chose to attack the Daedalus instead.

Colonel Caldwell ordered return fire and the Wraith ships without any shielding, were no match for an Earth cruiser powered by a ZPM. The two remaining hive ships simply ceased to be and all that was left was floating debris.

Afterward Caldwell beamed down to talk to Dr. Weir.

"Not exactly the welcome we were expecting, but a warm one none the less. Anyway, I was wondering if you'd mind if my crew had a little break before we head back? Some would like to see Atlantis for themselves and some would like to stretch their legs on the mainland. Just for a day or so. We can hang around in case any more hive ships show up before we have to head back. Our patrol route thru the Milky Way means it'll be a month before we're back on Earth and you guys are our first stop."

"I don't think that'll be a problem, Colonel. Just remind your people that my people have already figured a few things out and if they tell them to avoid something, they're only doing so to keep people from getting hurt."

"Not a problem. Despite the Wraith, I think Atlantis is going to be a favorite stop for us in the future."

It was.
