Well, the survivors scoured the place. They found a lot of stuff, but nothing concrete about an escape plan. Jeff was surprisingly the one to find out about Compound 33 which was Talbot's penultimate attempt at a serum. Though it did not facilitate his escape, it did have powerful side effects. It is probably created just before his ultimate attempt which shifted him from an Alchemist to the Blight. Talbot Grimes, a scottish man who was around the time East India Company was active. So he was from 1600's. He messed with forces beyond him and landed in the Entitys realm, and was a survivor before this current batch of survivors. The only one actually who could recall Talbot as a human was… Vittorio now that they think about it. Or rather, now that Rita thinks about it. The medieval man who was from an earlier time and the only consistent survivor from mediveal times who saw people come and go. And the one that saw Talbot turn to Blight. Which meant, she needed to have a word with him

Meanwhile other survivors, namely Dwight, Claudette, Jake, David, Yui, Feng Min and Felix just found some new or old outfits they liked. She doesnt see herself wearing any clothes from here. But hey, if they can rock an outfit, good on them. On the other hand Adam Francis was the one who realized that perhaps Blight himself was a key to their escape, but its just that, he became a monster out of control who cant help them. Which did dampen the spirits of survivors.

While the survivors were deciding their next plot of action Thalita, Elodie, Jane and Jill were the ones to be taken for a trial where they had to face the Knight. And while the survivors were doing their thing, Rita thought about slipping away to see if she can consult with the Trickster or someone, although she didnt get to as Dwight caught her attention and wanted to engage in a conversation.

~Meanwhile~
The Knight had a trial with 4 lady survivors at the Coal Tower. He was frustrated he couldnt get to Rita, and he had to deal with these poultry survivors as well as the new robot killer he didnt understand. He wondered how was she holding up as he didnt see her in a while and if she faced the new killer yet. He was merciless to the current survivors as he didnt care if they were women or not. They were just lambs to a slaughter. He would summon the Assassin to chase after Jane Romero so they can corner her and take care of her. Once he'd down and hook her, he'd send the Jailer to patrol a nearby generator and Jane. He'd move on to chase Jill Valentine who was a skillful survivor who'd almost always give him a run for. She also showed no fear but immense determination which was commendable. But now she was his target. And he was going to kill her if thats the last thing he does. He'd focus on her and occasionally place a guard to guard a generator. Such as the Carnifex, who'd bash it.

But even so, she'd buy the team enough time to open the exit gates, so in the end the only survivor he does catch to kill was Jill and with a mori as well, he had the pleasure of ending her himself, he and his guards.

Even so, by numbers he lost the trial as3 people had escaped. Which was a bit of a sour note for him. But the trial was done. Returning to his realm he'd see Ghostface

"What are you doing here?" the Knight would ask
"Your lady friend is spending a lot of time with Trickster. Maybe you should pay one of them a visit" he'd say nonchalantly
"And why would I do that? I dont owe you anything."

There was hostility between the two. Namely Knight was defensive and cautious of the Ghostfaces schemes. He knew the type of person Ghostface was. Which was disguisting. He was a stealth killer, a backstabber, a coward. He could not hold his own in a battle. A bug he'd crush if he could, if the Entity allowed it. But he had to deal with this slime. And Ghostface was aware of this 'invincibility'.
"Are you sure about that?" he'd ask the Knight who'd just squint behind that helm as he'd look down at Ghostface and ask him once again.

It seemed Ghostface was ready for everything and had a backup plan for a backup plan. But what was his goal or task was anyones guess. The Knight did know that he was one of the Entitys favourite killers. So the Knight asked him to get down to the point or else he will make sure the Ghostface has a painful time.
Ghostface merely shook his head and sighed and decided to tell everything

~Back to the survivors~
Rita was now with Adam, talking to him about the recent situations, although she wished to speak to Vittorio more. But just as she was free to do so, she was whisked to a trial with Steve, Jake and Felix. Even though they arrived at the Modified Shelter Woods which was now the HQ of the Skull Merchant, Felix could tell their killer was the Dredge as he saw a lock on the locker. Rita didnt face the Dredge in a while, but it still awoke a certain fear in her. The Dredge was one of the scariest killers to her, because it was an abomination that was inhuman, an amalgam of darkness, a black smoke that had a mish mash of flesh, snow or ornaments, even gold or baby porcelain dolls. Whatever it gets its smoke on, it takes and absorbs it into its monstrous amalgam. If survivors dont come to life after a trial, she'd fear having a fate of that absorption that the Dredge did with other people prior to coming here.

Now she was with Jake who was wearing that strange outfit.
"I dont get the appeal of that outfit, but if it makes you happy" she started as she worked on the generator with Jake
"Honestly, its not as bad as it looks and its feels kinda good to be out of the same clothes. Sure they smell and have some weird old dried up golden splatters, but they aint bad" he replied
She chuckled "So you're like Vigo's Marauder"
"Seems like it" he pretty much went with it.

Meanwhile the Dredge would interrupt them as it'd burst out of a locker to chase her. She'd shriek from the horror as Dredge appeared, in its smoky and fleshy flesh. Wearing what looks like a warriors helm on its would be head. It looked like as if it passed over a grave and absorbed warrior corpses. Nevertheless she made a run for it.

Because she got to practice with the Knight and even getting advice from other survivors and Kate who really pulled thru to help her as much as possible. She wasnt a sitting duck as she was during her initial arrival. She was filled with fear to the brim, but also a pinch of determination. She gave a decent chase, but the Dredge eventually caught her as it teleported ahead of her and caught her by surprise. And with that its ability Nightfall would activate, making the area extra dark.

Steve would come to the rescue, one could say he was a true Guardian. Especially with his abilities. He would help and heal her wounds with his first aid kit and they'd make their escape. Rita meanwhile would go to the main building which was the Skull Merchants HQ. No one was there at the moment, so she wanted to take a look around.

Especially since Jake was now having the killers attention. Its just the place was well lit, rather modern and neat. She'd also kill for a soft bed like that. Well, not literally, but in a figure of speech kill. As she was looking around, she saw something peeking from under the bed. She'd see a black folder with a red logo. She'd open it and see its what the drones would monitor as well as some other information. But what caught her eye is that the Skull Merchant spied on her as she'd see some pictures and notes about her interactions with the Legion.

It seems that the Legions disguise idea didnt go fully unnoticed. She wasnt sure if Skull Merchant showed this to anyone. But she couldnt let this stay here. She took the folder with her and decided to leave the trial with it. Looking at the state of the trial, only two more gens had to be done. So she quickly started to work on one.

The Dredge would eventually eliminate Steve and once again go to chase Jake who gave it the slip. It seemed the guy really was ready for the chase. Perhaps he felt motivation or hope or maybe that outfit did wonders for him. Ok she chuckled at that.

She finished the generator and she'd notice the other one would be done. Jake would speed up as he was made for this and filled with hope. Felix would start to open the gate and although the Dredge would hit him once, he'd manage to open it, but the Dredge would hit him again and get him. She had to make her escape, but as she did, she'd notice the folder crumble as the Entity itself would consume it. She dropped it as she didnt know if the Entity would do so to her. It felt as if the Entity didnt allow her to take things out of a trial that werent meant to be taken. Nothing aside from the general props such as medkits, keys, flashlights, toolboxes and maps.

As she landed at the Campsite, she'd see him in the distance. The Blight. She never saw him here lurking at the survivors. So why was he or it here? Did the Blight sense someone messing with his stuff or.
She'd look at Dwight and Claudette. Yeah, makes sense if he saw them. He'd know survivors were snooping around his stuff.
But it looks like the Blight despite being here was fixated on her. And she locked stares with him. The Blight reached over to a pocket and raise a … journal. Yes, thats it! Vigos Journal.

But as quickly as Blight showed it off, he put it away. And said or growled something. Not like Blight could speak with his mouth left permanently agape with his jaw flapping about beneath his chin. And he's constantly drooling that serum, too. He could only make monstrous and roaring sounds.
She wished some more human killers were here too. But he knew, some too feared Blight. After all, he caught a bunch of killers. She just wasnt sure how much.
While Talbot couldnt speak anymore, it felt as if he came here to give her a warning to stop messing with his stuff and that she cant have his journal. And to hammer the unspoken message it, the Blight bashed its cane against the protective field that protected the survivors and made its leave.

And once Blight left, someone else has stepped from the shadows. At first she expected Trickster or Knight. But no, it was someone else
"Well well well. You sure made him angry. I dont understand his angry gibberish. But even I know its angry. Rita, sweetie. Try not to mess with the Blight. Be a good girl and just stay and do the trials" Ghostface spoke
"I know I wanted to see a more human killer, but honestly now I think I rather prefer Blight or Freddy" she spoke
"Ooo good idea. Maybe he can invade your dreams." he said with a clap
"Or not because even I know that the Entity weakened him here" she was aware that Krueger was weakened, Quentin told her that much. And even she was aware from the movies what Freddy does.
"Boo, I couldnt scare you. But seriously girl. You gotta accept the fact that you cant escape this place. No one beats the Entity" Ghostface spoke
"Did you send Blight here?" she ignored him and instead asked that
"Maybe I did and maybe I didnt. Im not obliged to tell you anything. I mean what'cha gonna do? Tell David Tapp to arrest me. Im shaking"

He was right, she couldnt make him do anything.
"Well you made your message clear, you can go" she tried to shoo him off
"No, I dont think I did. Tho I can see you're pretty adamant now. So blind to see how nice and safe you are. Honestly I dont see why you wanna leave. You can just start a new life here with Knight or Trickster. I bet you like one of them. Just romance them and get stabbed every once in a while. Honestly living forever and being immortal. Its a steal"

Ghostface tried a different method. Instead of warnings and threat he tried to convince her to try and find some positive stuff in the realm, so she doesnt mess with forces beyond her recognition. But the girl didnt budge. He could see her resolve. Even though Ghostface has better cards to play, he didnt. He didnt want to spoil the fun should the story go in the direction she wants it to go. Part of him hoped she gets her way, just so she can see how much she screwed up.

Rita though didnt want to start a life here. The Knight was a bloodthirsty monster who loved killing. But she did find some charm in him when he did show his humanity. If only he showed more of it. Part of her wondered, if Talbot went from a survivor to become Blight. She wondered if the Knight can become a survivor and just be Tarhos. Or any of the Legion. She doubted the Trickster would ever convert, he's just using her for a mutual benefit goal. The Knight shows more emotion, more honest emotion that is

But even so, even if she converted a killer to a survivor and changed their ways by power of love or friendship or whatever bs one can pull off. What happens next? They all suffer and be killed over and over again? No. She wanted an end to this charade.

"A steal?" she'd start as she'd cross her hands
"Yep, pretty much"
"How about you come here and play survivor and see whats it like" she'd tell him. If he thought survivor life was great, maybe he should see whats it like sleeping on dirt only to be stabbed over and over in trials. Dying over and over in horrific manners. From stabs to chainsaws and whatever Singularity does. He was a bit flabbergasted at what she said, even had a laugh but shook his head
"I love my role. But if you wanna play this game. Challenge accepted."
She wasnt sure what he meant, but he continued
"I'll make a killer out of you. After all, I know murder is in your blood."

The Entity gave Ghostface a task, which was his own secret mission. But Ghostface actually now had a better idea. Much better idea. He knew how to achieve it. And not only that he knew how to please himself and the Entity. It was only a matter of moving the chess pieces.
"You know what. Hold that thought" he said as he made his leave
"Where are you going?!" she'd ask
"Im gonna get the Knight!" he spoke as he vanished in the darkness
