Family Photo
This is my first go at fan fiction. All credit for WTB characters, dialog, etc goes to the amazing writers and staff of the show. Hope you enjoy!
Scene starts after the last scene of STV part 3. Screen fades to black and the words "One year later…" appear.
Tony enters the living room from the kitchen door, dressed in a navy blue suit jacket, tie and dress pants. He looks around the living room, opting to straighten the pillows on the sofa. He then moves to the fireplace and rearranges the chairs, making them face out toward the living room and moves them next to one another.
He is admiring his work when he is interrupted by the door bell. He runs across the living room and opens the door to a photographer holding his equipment. "Is this the Micelli residence?" "Yes it is! Please come right in. My family will be ready momentarily", said Tony.
Just then, Jonathan came running down the stairs, dressed in a freshly ironed white dress shirt, tie and dress pants. "Jonathan, can you help him set up his equipment while I see where everyone else is at?"said Tony. "Sure Tony." Tony makes his way to the back door to find Samantha and Hank. Just before reaching the door, the kitchen door swings open and both Samantha and Hank come in, Hank eating a plate of leftovers he found in the kitchen. Samantha is wearing a pretty blue dress with a white shawl draped over her shoulders. Hank is wearing a white dress shirt, blue tie and dress pants, just like Jonathan. "Is that my leftover lasagna Hank?!?", Tony practically yelled. "Yes Dad it is- we skipped breakfast this morning and Hank was hungry", said Samantha. "Just don't spill any Hank- the photographer is only here for a short time and there will be no time to get marinara sauce out of anything!! Speaking of no time, where is everyone else?!?" said Tony. "Angela! Are you ready yet? Let's move it already!!"
"We'll be down shortly!", shouted Angela from upstairs. "What are the chances of that happening?" said Jonathan sarcastically. "About the same chances of you getting a date for Saturday night!" shouted Samantha. "All right you two enough! We are doing this family photo shoot and it would be nice if we actually acted like a loving family for it so zip it would ya?" said Tony.
"Alright Mr. Micelli, I am all set up. The lighting should be good for the next fifteen minutes so if we could start soon, that would be ideal", said the photographer. "Yes of course. Samantha, can you go up and see what's holding them up?" said Tony. "Sure Dad", Samantha said as she started to head up the stairs.
"Can I interest you in some coffee or tea or how about some freshly baked cookies while we wait?" Tony said to the photographer. "No thank you" said the photographer.
Samantha came back down the stairs. "They are coming shortly Dad!" "Are you sure Sam?", said Tony. "Of course Dad!" "Are you lying to me Sam?" Of course Dad!" laughed Samantha. "Angela! Let's go already!", yelled Tony up the stairs. " Why do women take forever to get ready?" said Jonathan. Samantha was about to say something to him, but was interrupted by Mona walking down the stairs, carrying a two month old baby girl in her arms, dressed in a navy blue dress with white tights and a matching blue bow.
"We take forever because the best things in life are worth waiting for… at least that's what my date said last night…" replied Mona. "Mother!", said Angela as she came down the stairs holding another two month old baby, this time a boy wearing a white dress shirt and blue pants. "It wasn't the women taking forever, we've been ready, but rather this little guy decided he needed a last minute diaper change" said Angela. Angela was wearing a navy blue long sleeved dress, heals and a pearl necklace. Mona was wearing a bright red dress, completely ignoring Angela's request for a navy blue theme.
The family surrounded the two newest members of the Micelli family, smiling and cooing around the two infants. The happy family moment was interrupted by the photographer's slight cough to get their attention. "Ok family let's do this!", said Tony. "Hank and Jonathan, you two stand right behind the chairs. Sam you stand next to Hank and Mona next to Jonathan. Angela you sit here in this chair with Anna and I will sit here with Robert", said Tony as he took their infant son from Angela and Mona handed their daughter to Angela. "Does this look alright? This is our first family photo with our two newest additions and I want it to be perfect!" Tony said to the photographer. "Yes perfect. Ok let's start before we lose the light", said the photographer.
"On the count of three, smile. One, two, three!" said the photographer. He continued to take photos of the family, changing up the members of the family. Tony and Angela insisted on having photos of the whole family, all four of their children together (something neither of them were quite yet used to saying), all of the men and all of the women.
Once the photographer was done, he packed up his gear and headed for the front door. He stood back for a moment and looked back at the family. Samantha was holding Robert on the couch and Jonathan had Anna in his arms. Hank was sitting next to Samantha on the couch, looking lovingly at his wife. Mona was sitting on the far left living room chair, while Angela was sitting on the opposite chair, Tony embracing her from his perch on the arm of the chair. All three adults were smiling watching their children bond with one another, a few stray tears falling from Angela's eyes.
Despite the initial chaos of the photo shoot, he thought to himself how much love there was between Tony and Angela and their entire family and he was actually looking forward to developing the film.
The end
