She stopped. Just briefly. For less than a second, she stopped her assault with all five Kage, not that they were aware she stopped with such a minuscule amount of time when she felt a very familiar chakra approaching the battlefield.
She is very familiar with the owners of approaching chakra, at least two of them. One of them is her very first friend, outside of her clan at least. The one with the same dream as her. The one that always carried the hint of fresh flowers and sturdy wood whenever she met him at the river. A depressed crybaby(justified in her opinion) half of the time, strong and calm the other half, at least in their youth. He did change when he reached his teen. Collected, charismatic, confident, and most importantly, the only one that can match her on the battlefield. The only one worthy enough to be called her rival, Senju Hashirama.
The other familiar chakra definitely belonged to Hashirama's little brother. Even amongst the water users, his chakra is unique. His affinity for the Water element surpassed even any Water-based clan. Even when she copied his stance and Water Jutsu, her imitation paled in comparison compared to Tobirama. Tobirama's chakra feels a lot like an ocean or a large lake. While Hashirama's feels a lot like forest and flower, hers is like a large hill of flame.
(There's a little-known fact about Edo Tensei summon. While the summoned will never feel tired or have chakra exhaustion, they still can feel mental exhaustion.)
One feels very similar to Kyuubi's jailer, the orange brat. Or should she say Kyuubi's partner now? Never thought the day that arrogant nine-tailed fox could cooperate with humans would come. Although...the Kyuubi's chakra somehow feels... diminished, or has it somehow got halved? Very strange indeed. And somehow, only now she can feel missing halves, coming from one of the approaching chakra signatures. The orange brat's relative maybe? Their chakra does feel similar to each other after all.
One of the approaching chakras feels very familiar to her own, for some reason. An Uchiha perhaps? Come to think about it, why didn't she see any Uchiha running around in this war? There's no Izanagi, Tsukuyomi, or even elusive Izanami technique being used in this war, not even once, and while Susanoo usage is straining, physical, and chakra, their user has the highest chance of stalling her long enough to be sealed, so where's are they? Does this alliance keep them as a last resort? Talking about the approaching familiar chakra, this chakra is also somewhat similar to that of Itachi's, maybe a relative to the exceptional Uchiha?
Eh, whatever. At least she will be getting the workout she deserves. These new generations of ninjas are weak(by her standard, at least), probably because they lived in an era of peace. Don't get her wrong, she doesn't think every ninja of this era is weak. A few of them are exceptional, even for her era's standard. The older one with green abominable spandex and the white-haired lightning user are one of the few who managed to impress her enough.
But outside of these, most of them are...weak. A lot less deadly than the one from her time. She doesn't even need her Eternal Mangekyou or Susanoo to deal with the fodders, as she would call them. But she guesses even someone of her caliber needs a decent warm-up before the main event.
(The familiar chakra keeps getting closer...)
Manifesting a partial blue Susanoo, with only the ribcage and the skull around her, she noted to herself that no one in this alliance ever saw her famed Susanoo, except for that Ōnoki, but even then, the shorty only saw the arm.
On her Susanoo's right hand, a weapon is slowly being materialized, the weapon that gives her the nickname "Grim Reaper", a scythe with the same coloration as her Susanoo, albeit with a slightly darker hue. There's nothing remarkable about the scythe, nothing distinguishable. But she knew that everyone could feel the power coming off from the scythe.
(It's here.)
"Hashirama!"
