The Coroner releases Charlotte's body and this gives Dominic and Deloris the time to make arrangements for her funeral. Police suggest somebody, she was bludgeoned with a large sharp weapon, possibly a Machete. This starts ringing alarm bells in Dominic's head and instinctively thinks it has something to do with either Bethany or Benjamin. Also, Bethany would want to silence Charlotte on the death of Glenda Robinson.

Dominic heads into the Basement and finds the chained up door has been tampered with or damaged. He dashes back upstairs and goes to his draw in the bedroom and goes behind it , to find a key hidden away. He goes back into the Basement and unlocks the chains and opens up the double doors, where the secret computers are. He looks inside Cabinets and every nook and cranny for the Joe Hayes tapes. They've gone missing and Dominic fears the game could be up, pretty soon. Panicking he desperately, chains the door up and hears Deloris call out to him. He jumps to her call out and clumsily drops the key, which scatters across the Basement floor. He acknowledges her call and informs her, he'll be up soon.

Deloris suggests opening the Cafe, but Dominic insists there is no rush. More people stop by with flowers and offer condolences on their grief. Dominic is overwhelmed and frightened, he is physically sick. Deloris sees the toll, it has on her father, but is unaware that he is partly responsible for the death of her brother, who was killed in an arson attack by Bethany, a few years prior to the Millenium.

Dominic goes to see Charlotte's coffin, unbeknown to him, Bethany is watching him. She is then distracted by a phone call. Deloris decides to open the cafe, if only for a while and heads downstairs to fetch some boxes. She discovers the key to the secret door. She starts to wonder what it could be for, however with Customers coming in, she can't spend to long to ponder and heads back up. When Dominic returns, he heads upstairs to freshen up and then comes to a realization, that he's lost the key. Deloris, starts wondering why her father is taking too long and enters the apartment above the cafe and sees Dominic in hysterics. Deloris makes sure her father, doesn't see her and quickly assumes, he's looking for the tiny key, that's now in her possession.

Deloris is rushed off her feet, but Dominic enters and puts on a brave face and looks into the direction of the Kitchen, which leads to the Basement and back door. He pretends he's going to get more stock to cook for customers. He dashes down into the Basement and desperately seeks the key, his daughter now has. He is in turmoil and struggles to contain himself. In the last few days, he appears to want to confess to Harry, that he is involved in Jeff's murder and that, he's been blackmailed into helping Carla and the Cosmos, due to the fact he involved Bethany in an Arson, that freakishly killed his son James, which led to Charlotte being committed briefly.

Around 12:00 A.M., Deloris gets out of bed and tries to find locks, that the keys fits. She heads downstairs into the Cafe, but cannot figure out what. Then, she remembers the chained up double doors, which she is made to believe leads into the underground sewers. Deloris descends into the Basement and unlocks the chains and opens the double doors. She is stunned to find, multiple, dusty and shutdown computers. Deloris is confused and starts to become curious and finds file cabinets in the underground room. She pulls open the drawers and finds information based on the Cosmos. Deloris then finds what a appears an short invoice from a while back. "Remember You Owe me. Florida Keys at 5 o' Clock." Deloris is beside herself. She now begins to fear, her father has had a secret life. Then he appears behind her and now knows he has to come clean.

"It's not what you think Deloris," Dominic begs.

Deloris turns round and is horrified, that her father, has kept something so sinister under hers and her deceased mother's noses. Then, a familiar and unwanted female sounds her voice in the Basement.

"Oh, yes, it is Dominic," Bethany interrupts.

Bethany and Benjamin have entered the Basement. Bethany holds a gun, pointing it at Dominic. A while passes, Dominic and Deloris have there hands and legs tied to each other, with their backs to one another. Bethany is now in control and Benjamin is more than willing and happy to assist her mother. Deloris is beside herself, as she has now become part of the dark twist, involving Dominic, Bethany and Benjamin.

"Daddy, what's going on?" Deloris cries.

"You want to tell her or shall I?" Bethany gloats.

"Yeah, Cmon, Dominic. Your hands are not exactly clean are they?" Benjamin taunts.

"I never wanted any of this," Dominic worries.

"You should have thought of that, before you used me," Bethany states.

Bethany walks around to face a confused and vulnerable Deloris, who is completely in the dark. Bethany kneels down and strokes Deloris hair. It's kind of intimidating.

"You poor kid. You really don't know your father at all do you? Bethany figures. "He comes across as this..innocent, goofy citizen, who has really done more harm than you realize. That harm, has forced my hand. Because, other people have got too nosey and too involved. I have to do away with them..just like all the others."

Deloris fears for her life, as tears fall down her face.

"You're gonna kills us?" Deloris panics.

"I don't know yet."

Bethany gets to her feet and walks around to face Dominic.

"Your father may make my decision for me. I'll give you twenty four hours Dominic. You can continue to fight me or you can admit what you are. Just as evil as I am."

Benjamin kneels down in front of Deloris and touches her face and kisses her. Deloris feels uncomfortable, by the thought of her evil Ex Boyfriend, putting his hands on her again.

"I'm sorry, it's come to this Deloris. You did mean a lot to me," Benjamin lies.

"Why, Benjamin? Why?" Deloris pleads.

"It's in my nature. I'm mother's son."

Deloris then gets the hint and realizes, that Bethany is actually Benjamin's Mother, who's been pretending to be the tenant next door. She begins to wonder, if Bethany moving to Francis Bay, with Rebecca and Harry was intentional and that it was a set up, to manipulate Dominic - unbeknown to Harry and Rebecca of course. Benjamin gets to his feet and stands beside Bethany.

"I haven't killed anybody, I've associated with closely yet," Bethany claims. "Well, almost."

Bethany hinting to the murder of Charlotte.

"Only outsiders, that have become a thorn in my side," Bethany continues.

"Harry found you out has he? About fucking time. You're gonna kill the one man, you been madly in love with all your life. That's gonna take some guts, just to keep your sister in exile. Just shows how much, you're at the end of your tether. You think killing everyone, that knows your dirty secrets inside and out, will set you free? No. Your past will haunt you for the rest of your life, just as mine will," Dominic explains.

"A man with a human touch. I have managed to cover my tracks well so far. Even with this latest development and push comes to shove. I'll still be walking, at the end of this. Now, do you want to explain to Deloris or...?"

Bethany reveals the tape recording of Joe Hayes interrogation of Bethany, confessing to killing James in an Arson attack.

"The now deceased Joe Hayes?"

Benjamin sniggers. Bethany places the recorder back in her pocket, still holding Dominic and Deloris at gun point.

"Give him twenty hours to think about it."

Bethany and Benjamin ascend the Basement staircase and Deloris comes to a realization.

"You killed my mother didn't you?" Deloris blurts.

Bethany and Benjamin stop half way up the staircase and Bethany looks smug.

"What did she find out, that made you take her away from?" Tearfully asks.

"I'll let your father confess his sins, then you'll understand," Bethany calmly replies.

Deloris senses that Bethany is almost confessing to murder and gets really furious.

"You Bitch! You fucking Bitch! I will fucking kill you!" Deloris rages, struggling with the ropes.

"I'm sure will," Bethany smirks.

Bethany and Benjamin exit the Basement and slam the door shut, leaving only a small dim light on. Dominic now has the biggest test of his life. Seeking forgiveness from his daughter and still have a relationship with her.
