It's completely silent this June night. Of course, aside from the rustling of leaves as the warm summer air passes through them. A decaying dead body lays in the middle of an open area surrounded by trees. The trees around it are so dense that people from the outside world couldn't see the dead body if they tried. The dead body is propped up against a tree as if it were hiding before it passed. A purple lightning strike-like scar wraps around the victim's neck. Scars litter its legs and arms but it's safe to say that other parts of it probably has scars as well. A huge shotgun wound is in its head but the gun is gone. A hole in its stomach is also present. It isn't too big but it's big enough to see that something must've gone through the victim's stomach. Blood drips from its mouth like a dried fountain.

"We'll hide out here, boss," a man wearing a mask says, hushed, as three men stand in front of a tall faceless entity wearing a suit. This entity would be no other than Slenderman, the mythological creature surrounding these woods which have been named after him by the general public. The entity's pure white skin reflects in the moonlight as he makes his way into the small clearing. He walks over to the corpse, a distorted hum coming from Slenderman's throat as his eyeless eyes never leave the corpse. He looks at the victim's scars and wounds, never daring to touch it and disturb its peace. A sudden rustling comes from behind a few trees.

"Who's there? Show yourself," Slenderman demands, trying to keep his voice steady with no distortions. His distortions tend to happen when he's annoyed, angry, or irritated. He doesn't want to show that yet if it's someone like Lazari or Sally. He can hear rustles coming from behind him, knowing that at least those are his proxies. What comes out ever so slightly surprises him. A small skeletal dog with some form of clear shell around it trots out of the brush. Its tail wags. It clearly doesn't understand the danger of Slenderman or the proxies. It turns around and barks at something else behind the trees.

"Come out, now. We have your dog," Ticci Toby, another of Slenderman's proxies, yells out despite Masky's quiet protests. A girl, identical to the corpse on the ground but cleaner and radiating a yellowish white aura around her, comes out of the woods. Blood isn't flowing out of her mouth actively and she seems to have cleaned up the blood that was around her mouth. Her wounds are poorly bandaged but bandaged nonetheless. She's wearing something different, not the torn up blue rags she wears on her corpse. She wears a white long-sleeved turtleneck under a plaid red dress. A gold necklace with a shooting star charm sits around her neck and a red headband sits on her head in her hair. She wears black mary janes with white frilly socks on her feet to top the look off. She barely looks dead aside from the aura and obviously bleeding bandages that would've killed someone by now.

"Hello.. My name is Angeline.. This is my dog, Oakley.. Is there something you need..?" The girl's soft British and German accented voice echoes through the air like she's in a garage or museum. Slenderman slowly nods. He doesn't know what to do with the girl. He can't kill her. She's already dead. He can't trick her into leaving. He can tell just from her eyes analyzing his and his proxies' every movements that she can't be tricked that easily.

"My name is Slenderman, my child. These are my proxies. May I ask what you're doing out here? Did you just die?" Slenderman asks, his own British accent coming out through him speaking more. Angeline looks over at her corpse and stares at it for more than a moment before turning back to Slenderman.

"I died by my own hands years ago," she says very briefly. It's clear she doesn't want to talk about her own death. Slenderman wants to ask more but he knows that doing so out here will make him and his proxies more vulnerable to being caught by the public. Slenderman finally decides on what he wants to do, at least for the time being.

"Would you like to come to my home? A bunch of my..employee live there with me. Everyone has their own room and restroom. We can even teach you how to work for me. It's very spacious and we already have a dog there for your dog to get along with," Slenderman suggests. Oakley wags his tail and barks happily at the thought of another dog to play with. Angeline looks at Oakley, weighing the pros and cons in her head, before looking back at Slenderman and nodding with a small smile on her face. Angeline walks over to Oakley and easily picks him up in her arms.

"Alright, then. Follow me. My proxies will follow after us, if that's alright with you," Slenderman says before turning around and walking off into the forest. Angeline easily catches up to him and walks just a bit behind him. It doesn't take as long as Angeline thought it would take to get to a large dark gray mansion. Its outer walls and black details blend in with the trees behind it. Slenderman turns to look at Angeline.

"Do you want to be introduced to everyone tonight or tomorrow?" Slenderman asks. Angeline seems to think for a moment. She apparently had not thought about actually meeting everyone until now.

"Tomorrow, please.. I need time to mentally prepare myself for that..," Angeline says with a small smile on her face. Slenderman nods. He knows the Creepypastas will probably have some questions once they walk into the house so he asks Angeline telepathically if he can grab her arm. She seems confused but nods. Slenderman gently grasps her bicep before teleporting to the guest bedroom closest to his office. Angeline seems lightheaded for a second before shaking her head to free herself of the feeling.

"Thank you, sir..," Angeline says quietly. Slenderman nods before turning around and walking out the door. He realizes he forgot to tell her to tell him if she ever needs him. He reopens the door only to discover that the girl is now in a completely different outfit, a silky yellow pajama set with light blue flowers on it, and sleeping on the bed. Oakley is curled up in her side. Slenderman awkwardly stands there for a second before closing the door and leaving the room.
