A/N Real life finally granted me two days to solely work on this story. It's all written now, 64 chapters in total. I'm going to post them as quickly as I can. Once again, sorry for the delay.

"Don't stop," Isaac told Professor Hale but when the second car came up next to them he knew that they wouldn't have another choice. Isaac couldn't make out the people in the car in front of them but there were two familiar faces in the one next to him.

So they are twins, Isaac thought when he noticed the identical faces looking at him from the passenger seat as well as from the backseat.

"Brace yourself!" Hale yelled.

Still fascinated by the twins grinning at him from the other car, Isaac did not brace himself so when the professor hit the brakes, Isaac got slammed into the back of Hale's seat. The seat belt did its job and prevented the worst but would leave a nasty bruise across his chest, that was for sure. Same for Danny who had a close call with the dashboard.

The professor was the only one who was not dazed by the harsh stop. He hit the accelerator and with burning rubber, the car made a whole one-eighty while the other cars kept driving in the other direction.

Isaac felt like a rag doll, hanging in his seat belt but he was better off than the backpack next to him. It slammed into Isaac's hip when Hale rightened the car again. The car skittered from one side of the road to the other but the professor had it under control a second later.

"That was fucking awesome!" Danny whooped while Isaac still tried to regain his bearings. He pushed the backpack off and spared a second to hope that the telescope in the foot room had survived before he turned to check on the other cars through the rear window.

They had come to a halt and were trying to turn around but they were far from being as smooth as Professor Hale had been.

"I don't think it's over," Isaac commented when the first car was facing their way again. By now they were small in the distance but that would change in a second.

"Isaac, call Stiles," Hale ordered without taking his eyes off the road which was probably for the better because he was driving way faster than Isaac would normally be comfortable with. Now he wished the car would go even faster.

"Danny, call the police."

While Isaac still fumbled to get his phone out of his pocket, and no, he would not remove the seat belt to get better access, Danny had his phone already in his hand.

"What am I going to tell them?" Danny asked without dialing.

"Where we are and that we're being chased by two cars with at least six armed people?" Hale did take his eyes off the road to give Danny that look over the rim of his glasses. It had the usual effect on Danny who shrank into his seat under that gaze.

The whole situation was so surreal, Isaac couldn't help a giggle. For which he was met with a similar hard look through the rearview mirror.

"When did this field trip turn into Fast & Furious anyway?" Danny muttered under his breath but dialed 911.

Isaac finally got his phone out as well and was met with several missed calls. All from Professor Stilinski. Right, he'd muted his phone for the ride.

"Fuck," Isaac muttered and hit the button to call Professor Stilinski. Tuning Danny and his rambling to the operator on the other end out, Isaac turned to keep an eye on the cars behind them. They were both facing their way now, trying to catch up to them. For a brief second Isaac wondered why there were never other cars on the road in situations like this but then the professor picked up on the first ring.

"Isaac, where are you?" Stilinski asked with an urgency in his voice that told Isaac that he was thinking the worst.

Isaac tried to tell Stilinski what was going on but he didn't feel as if he was making much sense. From what he heard with half an ear Danny was more coherent with telling the operator about their situation, but Danny did not have a clear view of the cars slowly but surely catching up to them. Isaac just waited for somebody to come up through the passenger side's window to shoot at them but so far nothing like that had happened. But since Hale had mentioned the armed part, Isaac couldn't think about anything else.

"We're on the way," Stilinski's words pierced through the fog in Isaac's mind.

"Who's we?" Isaac wondered but got thrown off when Hale took another sharp turn. Isaac brought his phone back to his ear just in time to hear Stilinski telling him to stay calm, help was on the way. In between Isaac caught him giving directions to what seemed to be Peter. By the sound of it, they were already on the road.

"Danny's on the phone with the police," Isaac said, suddenly not sure if that was a good idea. This felt like something out of Hollywood, Danny's Fast & Furious comment hadn't been that far off. When did Hale become Dom for fuck's sake? In those movies, no one ever called the police.

"That's good," Stilinski assured him. "Derek is going to keep you safe until we or the police get there. Everything is going to be fine. You're not going to miss out on that fancy star thingy you want to observe tonight."

"That's the last of my worries right now." Isaac's voice toppled over. He had a white-knuckled grip on his phone while he watched in horror as the car behind them closed in. He could make out the man behind the wheel now.

Stilinski kept talking but most of it washed over Isaac, it was some reassuring crap that did not help with the dread pooling in Isaac's stomach when he saw the determined look on the man's face behind them.

"Can't you drive faster?" Isaac yelled.

"Not if we don't want to end up in a ditch," Hale yelled back. The way he kept glancing at the mirror, he was aware of the car closing in but there was not much he could do about it. At least the second car had fallen behind, the driver didn't seem to be as reckless as the other guy. Of course, the car right behind them was the one with the twins. Isaac could only see the one in the passenger seat but judging by the way he was grinning, he was enjoying this. These were the same guys who had tried to kidnap him from the parking lot of a crowded club, Isaac didn't want to find out what they were capable of out here on this empty stretch of the road. Where the fuck were the other cars? Shouldn't there be people on the road?

"He's going to ram us!" Isaac called out when the car shot forward with a roar. Still looking back, Isaac sat more twisted so when the impact hit, the seat belt caught him awkwardly in the ribs, knocking the wind out of him. His phone went flying but Isaac didn't care where it went, he needed to breathe.

The car fishtailed but Hale had it back under control a second later. However, he had to slow down what the other car used to try to overtake them. They had to back off when Hale sharply pulled left, closing them off. The other driver had to slam the brakes to not get pushed off the road which led to him falling behind again.

Isaac let out a shaky breath.

"Where is the fucking cavalry?" Danny cursed from the front seat. He had managed to hold on to his phone but he had to turn it right-way up again. "They're trying to run us off the road, we need help!"

"Help is on the way, sir." Isaac caught the faint response from the operator.

Isaac barked out a laugh at that. He doubted they would be alive by the time help arrived.

He had kept his eyes on the road behind them but now he noticed that there was a motorcycle coming up from the front.

A second ago Isaac had wished for other vehicles on the road but now he could only see the motorcycle getting crushed between them and the other car that was still trying to get past them.

"This is going to be bad." Danny had realized the same thing.

"Hang on," Hale grunted and kept an iron grip on the steering wheel while he put his foot down. It was enough to bring some distance between the cars but Isaac was still sure that the guy on the bike was done for.

On the last second the bike switched lines and rushed past them on the wrong side. Isaac could have grabbed him through the window so close was he passing them.

However, something about the guy and the bike felt familiar.

"Braeden?" He wondered, craning his neck to check on what was going on behind them. The car was still too close for comfort and the second one was not far behind. They didn't seem to care about the motorcycle.

When the bike slowed down and turned around to take up pursuit Isaac just knew that it was Braeden.

"It's Braeden!"

"And what is she supposed to do against two cars?" Danny snapped at him.

Turned out, she could shoot at the car in front of her.

Isaac wanted her to hit the driver or at least the tires but this was not a Hollywood movie after all. It was enough to get the attention of the second car, though. It tried to run her off the road and she had to put her gun away to maneuver around the car. It caused enough confusion for Hale to bring some distance between them and the car right behind them as well.

"Isaac?" Isaac heard somebody calling his name. "What the fuck is going on?"

It took Isaac a moment to realize that Professor Stilinski was still on the line and talking to him from the floor. Whenever his phone had ended up on the floor.

"Braeden's here," Isaac informed him once he had the phone back at his ear.

"We're waiting for you," Stilinski said cryptically. "Tell Derek to drive through and not stop."

"Through what?" Isaac asked but then he noticed something up the road. Two cars parked across the street. They were facing each other but there was a gap between them just wide enough for a car to drive through. It looked like a police blockade but these were no police cars.

"Oh that," Isaac made. "Drive through there and don't stop."

Not that the instruction was necessary but Hale nodded in understanding nevertheless. He kept the car in the middle of the road and put his foot down. For the plan to work, they needed more distance to the car behind them.

"This is fucking insane." Danny grabbed the handle above the door as if that would help him if Hale did not hit the gap dead on. There was no wiggle room.

Hale did hit the gap dead on.

When they rushed past the cars, Isaac caught Stilinski sitting in the passenger seat with his phone at his ear and Peter next to him. Their eyes met for a split-second and then they were on the other side. Isaac didn't even get a chance to see who was in the other car. Whoever it was, they didn't waste time and closed the gap the second they were through, blocking the way for the cars hot on their tail. The last thing Isaac saw of them was the first car slamming its brakes and coming to a skittering halt parallel to the blockade.

People spilled out of the cars a second later but by then they were too far away to make out faces.

"Tell Derek that I'll call him once we're done here," Stilinski said and then he ended the call.

Hale slowed down to a more moderate speed but he kept on driving and didn't look back.

"What are we going to do now?" Isaac ask

"You should call your friends and tell them that we're going to be late," Hale said as if nothing out of the ordinary had happened. "We got rear-ended and have to deal with the police first."

"Okay?" Isaac was not ready to comprehend that.

"You think they have insurance?" Danny asked the more important question.
