I do not own Batman or Pokemon in any way.

[Postwick-Galar Region]

(one week later)

A week has passed since Batman AKA Bruce Wayne left Earth to head to the Pokemon world to help stop the second Darkest Day. Since then Bruce Wayne has established himself in the town of Postwick, where he has quickly gotten along with the locals.

Bruce quickly established himself as a young businessman taking a break from the business world to relieve his stress... and since then he has grown quite close to a young boy in the neighborhood by the name of Hop Laventon, who is the younger brother of the Pokemon champion, Leon Laventon.

Hop and Bruce meet when Bruce stopped Hop's Wooloo from rolling away down the hill one time a week ago... and since then the boy has come to his house every day to talk about how great his brother is, Pokemon, etc.

Currently Hop was having afternoon tea with Bruce in front of his front yard... a house that was vacant near the Slumbering Weald, which is one of the reasons why it was so easy for Bruce to purchase it.

Currently the subject was about pokémon training and how Hop couldn't wait to go on his Pokemon Journey. That is when Bruce told Hop Hop a bombshell, that he never went on his Pokemon Journey... which was a lie but was technically the truth at the same time.

"Wait, so you never went on your Pokemon Journey, Bruce?"inquired Hop, who calls Bruce Bruce instead of Mr Wayne as he considers him more of a friend than an adult.

"I was dealing with some stuff at the time and I never had a chance to live out my younger years."said Bruce, who was once again technically telling the truth even though his experience was different from what Hop was possibly imagining.

"Well we have to do something about that!"said Hop, before he pulled out his rotom phone and made a call.

"Who are you calling?"asked Bruce, wondering who his friend was calling.

"My older brother, Lee. He was telling me all about how he has a new Pokemon for me and I was just calling him to see if he would give you a Pokemon as well."said Hop after he hung up the phone.

"Why?"inquired Bruce.

"Because it's not fair that you didn't go on your Pokemon Journey! Everyone should go on their pokémon journey and I have a feeling you're going to be a strong Pokemon trainer one day with the right Pokemon by your side! So I called my older brother and he said yes."said Hop with a smirk on his face.

"I'm surprised he agreed so easily."said Bruce, although he was wondering if Mew and Arceus had anything to do with that

"Well when I told him you had wasted talent he quickly agreed... Lee has always been one to believe that talent should never go to waste."said Hop, who knew that his brother would agree the moment he said that Bruce had the potential to be a strong Pokemon trainer.

"I guess that makes sense."said Bruce, feeling like Mew or Arceus messed with Leon in order to give him a Pokemon.

But that didn't matter to him one bit as he had a mission and that involved getting a starter Pokemon and taking part in the gym challenge. That was the only way he was going to get strong Pokemon and stop the second Darkest Day, but he needed strong Pokemon as that's the only thing Mew and Arceus would agree to.

"He's on the train coming here, so let's go. The sooner you get a new Pokemon the better."said Hop, before he grabbed Bruce by the arm and began pulling him towards Wedgehurst, where the train station was located.

Bruce was curious do you explore a bit as he's only been in Postwick since he came to the Pokemon world. He felt like he needed to establish connections with the locals first in order to make it convincing enough that he is just another person from the Pokemon world and not some technical alien from the planet Earth... which was easier said than done as this world is a lot more peaceful than Earth.

But that was all going to change unless he stopped the second Darkest Day, which he still has no idea how we was going to happen or when... all he knows is that it's somewhere in the near future.

"Bruce, we're almost there!"saud Hop, before he and Bruce arrived in front of a group of people who were waiting at the train station.

That is when a young man who look like an older version of Hop stepped out of the train station. With him was a Pokemon that Bruce understood was called Charizard. He knew right away that this was the champion and his Ace Pokemon, and he could feel an aura from them that indicated that they were really strong! His years as a superhero and vigilante could tell him that right away!

"Hello, hello, Wedgehurst! Your champion, Leon, is back!"said the champion with a smile on his face as he faced his many fans.

This made Bruce chuckle a bit as Leon reminded him a lot of his red and blue friend back home.

"I hope all of you have been keeping up with your Pokemon training!"said Leon as he looked at the crowd.

"Of course we have, Leon!"said one person from the crowd.

"We have been doing all the tips you gave us!"said another person from the crowd.

"But that Charizard of yours is too strong for the likes of us to take on!"spoke an individual from the crowd.

"It is true that Charizard is blazingly strong, but other Pokemon can be strong as well. That is why I want you all to get stronger and stronger, as my dream is for everyone to know that trainers from Galar all the strongest Pokemon trainers in the world. So keep up your training and don't forget that other Pokemon can be strong as well."said Leon with such charisma that the crowd began cheering his name more.

'He's exactly like you, Kent.' thought Bruce, before he noticed that Hop was trying to get Leon's attention.

"Lee!"shouted Hop, getting the attention of his older brother.

"Hop!"said Leon with a smile on his face, before he began approaching his little brother with the crowd moving out of his way as he did so.

"Look at you."said Leon as he approached his little brother."I reckon you've grown an inch and a quarter since the last time I saw you."

"Bingo! That is exactly right! I'm not surprised at all Lee as it's still sharp eyes of yours that have kept you undefeated so far."said Hop, before he motion for his brother to look at Bruce."This is my new friend, Bruce Wayne. He's the guy I've been telling you about."

"Ah, the man who never went on his Pokemon Journey when he was young."said Leon, shocking the crowd as they couldn't believe that someone didn't go on their Pokemon Journey.

"I was dealing with some stuff at the time and I didn't have time."said Bruce, who was technically telling the truth as he had stuff to do like training to become Batman back on Earth.

"Well we can't have talent like you go to waste as my eyes tell me that you have a lot of potential as a Pokemon trainer. So we can't have you go to waste."said Leon, who was looking Bruce up and down and was liking what he was seeing.

"Leon is right! If he says you have talent and you have talent!"said a person from the crowd.

"It's not too late to live out your dream!"shouted another.

"All people should have a chance to go on a Pokemon Journey at least once!"shouted a different person from the crowd.

"Well I guess that answers that. It's nice to meet you Bruce, I'm Leon and I'm hoping we can get along from now on."said Leon, before the two of them shook hands.

"Me too."said Bruce, who made a mental note to keep an eye on Leon as he could tell that he was strong, and that he was a lot like his friend Superman.

And but his guts was telling him to keep a close eye on him.

"Now how about we go back to my house so we can get you a starter Pokemon."said Leon, before for some reason he began walking back to the train station...?

"Lee, you're going the wrong way again."said Hop, making Leon realize this which made the crowd laugh.

"Sorry, I have zero sense of direction."said Leon humbly, making the crowd cheer before they pointed him in the right direction.

'He's exactly like you.' thought Bruce, realizing that Leon was a lot like his friend back home.

Meanwhile, back in Metropolis Superman was doing his daily patrol before he suddenly sneezed.

"Okay, who's talking about me?"said Superman as he scratched his nose with the back of his finger.

Meanwhile, back in the Pokemon world Bruce, Hop, and Leon were standing in Hop and Leon's mother's front yard. Hop look like he was ready to explode with excitement.

"Come on Lee! You promise me and Bruce Pokemon, so out with it!"said Hop, who couldn't wait any longer.

"Riht then, the greatest gift from the greatest champion."said Leon, before he pulled out three pokeballs and tossed them towards the battlefield so they could be released.

And three Pokemon soon came out of their pokeballs.

The first Pokemon is a small, monkey-like Pokémon with a green body, a brown tail, brown wedge-shaped ears, orange hands and feet, and an orange snout. Each of its hands has five fingers, while each of its feet has three toes. It has two large white eyes with black irises. A lime green mask pattern frames its eyes, and extends towards its forehead in a small bump above its snout

"Say hello to the chimp Pokemon, Grookey."

The second Pokemonis a rabbit-like Pokémon that has a predominantly white body with orange and yellow markings on its ears, toes, and neck. The markings on its neck resemble a collar. It has buckteeth, black beady eyes with orange accents, and an orange nose with a yellow band shape across it, resembling a bandage. It has long legs with long feet, and similar yellow bands under each paw pad. It also has a small, white, poofy tail.

"Say hello to the rabbit Pokemon, Scorbunny."

The third and final Pokemon is a small lizard-like Pokémon. It has light-blue skin, with darker blue patches on its cheeks and the tip of its curled tail, and a lighter blue belly and face. It has white eyes with dark blue irises. It also has a yellow fin on the top of its head, held by a dark blue spine. Sobble has thin limbs, each of them ending in two curved hands resembling those of a chameleon.

"And say hello to the water lizard Pokemon, Sobble."

Hop and Bruce were amazed by the three Pokemon, especially when Leon commanded them to face Forward did they stop doing what they were doing and head to the battlefield so that they could pose for their possible Pokemon trainers. Bruce was impressed by how well-behaved these pokémon are and it was clear that they were well trained... but he knew he can only pick one.

"Bruce, you should pick first as I already have my Wooloo, after all."said Hop, letting his older friend choose first.

Bruce smiled as he could tell that Hop and Leon were good people. They didn't have ulterior motives like other people he knew... They were genuine in their kindness, and showed him respect even though they barely knew him, much less the other side of him.

"Well... I decided to go with..Sobble."said Bruce, deciding to settle on the water lizard Pokemon as he could tell that it had stealth abilities, meaning it's combat abilities matched his personality to a t.

Sobble appeared happy when he said this and ran over to Bruce, before he high-fived his new trainer and jumped onto his shoulder. Leon smiled as he handed Bruce the pokeball that belongs to Sobble

"Sobble, that's awesome! In that case I'm going with Scorbunny."said Hop, causing the rabbit Pokemon to run over and fist bump him, before his big brother gave him the pokeball that belongs to the rabbit Pokemon.

"And Grookey will stay with me. Charizard is real strict when it comes to training, but I'm sure he'll show you the ropes as he's real kind too."said Leon, making the chimp pokémon jump with joy.

"Alright, that's enough trainer nonsense for one day."said Hop and Leon's mother as she came out of the house with kabobs.

"Wash up for dinner as we're having kabobs."said Hop and Leon's mum, before she placed the kabobs on the grill.

Leon and Hop quickly complied with their mother's demand, with both of brothers pulling Bruce a second later, as they want him to join dinner as well.

'Sobble and I need to assemble a powerful team if we ever hope to stop this second Darkest Day... and the only way I can strengthen Sobble and any other Pokemon I captured to the next level is to take part in the gym challenge...Ha... I swear the rest of the Justice League is laughing at me at this very moment.' thought Bruce, as he has never had to act like a normal citizen before when it came to his undercover roles.

But he quickly got over it as he was here in the Pokemon world and there was nothing he could do about it, so the best thing he could do was adapt and train his Pokemon to the next level!
