Amortentia (Nami 's 5th year)

After classes, Nami entered the girl's bathroom before heading towards the library. She was checking herself out in the mirror when she heard some whispers. A couple of girls were giggling and plotting something. Nami wasn't planning on listening at first, but when she heard the name of one of her friends, she decided to step in. Whatever was going on, it didn't sound very good.

Opening the toilet door where the girls were hiding, they jumped, surprised by the sudden appearance of the orange hair slytherin. As Nami had suspected, they were two girls, around one year younger than her. When they recognised Nami, they got very nervous and the content of the potion they were holding spilled over Nami's robes. She looked at her attire and then to the two students with a stern look. The two girls hurried out:

" OMG! We are so sorry! ", they said while they ran out of the bathroom and out of sight before Nami could say anything.

With a sigh, Nami tried to dry her robe. She didn't know what type of potion was, but it didn't seem to have altered anything. One thing she noticed, though, was a light smell of metal, grass and… firewhiskey? She smelled her robes closely. Yes, definitely the potion had left some kind of smell. But, what kind of potion smelled like that?

She left the bathroom and went down the corridor. She was trying to decide whether or not it was better to get changed when she met Usopp, Chopper and Franky.

" Hey, guys!"She said, approaching them.

Chopper held his nose very strong and put a weird expression on his small face.

" What is that smell?! ", he cried. "It's too strong !"

Nami smelled her robes again. Was it that bad?

" Sorry, some girls spilled a potion on me ", she explained.

Usopp looked confused at the small kid.

" You're too sensitive, Chopper . It doesn't smell that strong. In fact, I think it smells very nice . Like ... books and tea and … softener! It's weird, I didn't know wizards would know the scent of muggle softener. Back in my hometown, my friend Kaya would use it. It's so pleasant …" Usopp seemed lost in his memories, a faint smile on his lips.

Franky also smelled the air.

" You're right, bro, I can smell the books, like those old books full of history. Also, flowers."

Nami looked at them confused. Whatever they were smelling, it couldn't be the same potion she was smelling. She was about to open her mouth when the smell of steel and grass intensified, surrounding her.

"What's going on?", said a deep voice behind her.

She turned around and nearly hit a broad chest covered with a bright red quidditch robe. When she looked up, she could see Zoro's face. For some reason, her heart skipped a beat. He looked so… good. He was carrying his broom and bats.

" Hey, Zoro ", Usopp greeted. " A potion fell on Nami and apparently it smells ".

" Does it? ", the green haired said, confused. He lowered his head and approached Nami. She felt goosebumps when he smelled close to her neck. He didn't touch her, but somehow she felt some heat around that area.

"I can't smell anything. Just Nami," he concluded. Then he looked at her face. " You're alright?"

" What? Oh, yes, it doesn't seem that it was dangerous. I'll go and change ", she said. " I'll ask Sanji what it could be later ".

Zoro nodded and continued his way. Nami stared at his back while he was walking. Her heart, beating a little too strong now. A thought was slowly coming into her mind.

A while ago, Sanji had mentioned a potion that had a different smell depending on the person who smelled it. A potion that would show scents that attract that person. A love potion. Amortentia.

As Nami came to realize the implications of this, she also thought on what Zoro had answered.

" Maybe you should go to the infirmary, Nami ", said Clopper. " You're all red".
