• The Xebec and Blackbeard Theory •
Rocks D. Xebec, known simply as Rocks, was the captain of the Rocks Pirates. He was a big pirate figure before the Pirate King Gol D. Roger came along.
44 years ago, Rocks and several other pirates arrived at Beehive island they met and seek fame and fortune. As a result of this meeting, Rocks became leader of the group, who called themselves the Rocks Pirates, and led them on a path of destruction with the goal of taking over the world.
Then one day Rocks led his crew on a mission that endangered the World Nobles and their slaves at God Valley. The Rocks Pirates were intercepted by Monkey D. Garp and Gol D. Roger, who had formed an alliance. A massive battle ensued, resulting in the dissolution of the crew, and Rocks ultimate defeat and is no longer alive.
Years later, Marshall D. Teach, known by his epithet Blackbeard, is the captain and admiral of the Blackbeard Pirates, and one of the Four Emperors. He is known as the first person to wield the powers of two Devil Fruits in history.
Teach started his pirate career as an apprentice of the Whitebeard Pirates, then later became a member of the crew's 2nd Division. However, its stated that he defected the crew after murder a 4th division commander named Thatch, who founded the Yami Yami no Mi and killed him in order to steal it. He briefly was one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea after defeating the infamous Portgaz D. Trace and handing him over to the Marines. He used his position to go to Impel Down and cause a mass riot. He recruited multiple Level 6 Prisoners to strengthen his crew. His actions resulted in him being considered him to be the "Worst Generation" pirate. He eventally murder Whitebeard at the Paramount War in Marineford and subsequent stole his Gura Gura no Mi power, and the following year faced the remnants of Whitebeard's crew known as the the Payback War, which resulted in his victory and conquer Whitebeard's territories for two years. This resulted in his acknowledgement as one of the Four Emperors. He also made Beehive island into his base of operations after the Rocky Port Incident.
You may think that Rocks and Blackbeard have nothing related to each other. However, they both play a major role together in their respective Pirate Age. The Marines notices there is an eerie similarities and maybe a connection between Rocks D. Xebec and Marshall D. Teach.
Rise to Fame
Flevance Incident, also know as The Annihilation of Flevance.
Flevance, known as the "White City", was a wealth country in the North Blue.
One day, the Rocks Pirates arrived and attacked Flevance. Upon seeing their immense power, the royal family selfishly escaped, abandoning their people in the process, and fled without even fighting back.
Xebec alone continued to massacre many people as possible, he eventually cause a fire and it razed the Kingdom, he killed 254 people in Flevance.
A man named Trafalgar Low is the only known survivor of the incident, as he managed to hide himself among a mountain of corpses.
Low contacted help from a nearby Marines' Branch lead by a Commodore. They reported the incident, the world was in shock once they found out what happen to Flevance. Rocks D. Xebec was immediately given a bounty of 79,000,000 Berries by the World Government.
The Flevance royal family who selfishly escaped, have caught glimpse of Rocks D. Xebec. Just by looking at them the Royal Family was deeply paranoid and traumatized.
According to the King, "His eyes was deceiving; it will destroy you. They will take away your innocence, your pride, and eventually your soul. His eyes do not see what you and I see. Behind those eyes I saw only blackness, the absence of light. His eyes are the eyes of a psychopath."
The royal family enter a mental breakdown that left them traumatized throughout their escape from Flevance. It is stated the King was in a bad state, his hair started falling out, and eventually he becomes bald, and wears his crown to hide his baldness.
The Blackbeard Pirates arrived and attacked the kingdom of Drum Island. Upon seeing their immense power, their cruel and cowardly king, Wapol, fled without even fighting back.
There were 254 citizens at the time, but during Blackbeard's raid 79 of them died.
Blackbeard gain a bounty of 45, 200, 000.
The King, Wapol, has stated to briefly spot Blackbeard when escaping. Ever since lying his eyes on him he enter a bad mental state, with his hair falling out one by one, and eventually Wapol becomes bald, and now wears a purple wig.
When Wapol spotted Blackbeard he is stated to said, "I saw him, what I saw in him; is no reason, no conscience, no understanding in even the most rudimentary sense of life or death, of good or evil, right or wrong. What I saw is this... Pirate with his blank, emotionless face, and... the blackest eyes - the Devil's eyes. I spent days staying up at night non-stop thinking he is still out there somewhere in the seas, and paranoid for months looking around my surroundings making sure he's not around as I was, I read the Newspapers for years hoping to see an article if he ended up being locked up by the Marines, because what I realized after seeing him, that what was living behind that Pirate's eyes was purely and simply... evil."
What's intetesting is that Flevance and Drum Kingdom are known to be abandoned by their royal rulers because of a Pirate with a D. in their name, after seeing their immense power. Both caught glimpses of the notorious Pirates' ravaging their Kingdoms, both rulers have gain a mental breakdown from seeing the Pirates' true nature, that left them traumatized to the point they almost had no hair anymore.
Is Rocks D. Xebec Truly Defeated ?
Ever since the God Valley fight, news reported immediately in the newspaper that...
Xebec was badly beaten and will likely never return.
We're sure of it. Almost positive. Claim by many people who were terrorized by Rocks.
After saying the obvious that Xebec was badly beaten and killed, it also states from the Marines on how confident they are that Rocks D. Xebec's reign of terror is over.
Despite that, did they really killed Xebec ? Back then The High Ranking Marines are notorious among rookie marines. It's no sercet to rookies that the High Ranking Marines have questionable actions, and in some cases, cause much more damage than wanted pirates that they themselves tried to stop. The most infamous act, is showing wanted Pirates' heads as trophies to the world.
Xebec never receive such treatment nor are there any mentions of his body being retrieved, buried or thrown at sea.
This strongly suggest that Xebec had suffered a brutal beating and survived, never been killed.
But if Xebec is alive, then why some Marines think he is now Blackbeard? The supporting fact for the theory is Madam Shyarly's fortune telling prophecy.
Xebec and Blackbeard one and the same ?
The Marines led by Garp came to Fishman Island who escored the Royal Family to the annuel Levely
While there it said that some Marines visit the Mermaid Cafe, and one if them decide to ask the owner, Madam Shyarly about his fortune.
What she said shocked the Marines.
Wh-what is this!?
Blackbeard... Rocks D. Xebec?!
How can this be?! I see the hideous form of Xebec!
Is Xebec active in the Grand Line? I cannot believe it...
And yet I see it...
I thought that Roger and Garp had ultimately defeated Xebec !
Has Blackbeard somehow revived Rocks D. Xebec? Or are they one and the same?! This could be bad for the Grand Line!
What Sharley said could confirm that Xebec was still somewhat alive, she doesn't understand why considering Roger and Garp defeated Xebec. Remember though that God Valley Incident had happen a few years before Blackbeard came into the scene, and how the in the Newspaper headline states that Xebec wouldn't return after his brutal end at God Valley. See a connection here?
Sharley mentions how Blackbeard could have revived Xebec or might be one or the same. This will be important later on.
Another connection to the theory can be made when Garp himself has encounter Blackbeard when he was still a Warlord. Before the Paramount War against Whitebeard began, Blackbeard made a small talk to Garp, and a fellow Marine at one point heard this interesting line:
I remember how much trouble you've (Garp) caused me in the past.
This doesn't make sense at first, considering this is Blackbeard first encouter with Garp.
Remembering Madam Shyarly mentioned on how Blackbeard and Xebec could be one and the same? The connections here imply that Xebec was actually badly wounded and actually survives his fight with Garp and Rogers, and laid low for a few years and came back as Blackbeard to cause trouble in the seas once again.
Further Proof
The Marines have notice some similarities / connection with The Blackeard Pirates and Rocks Pirates.
Blackbeard and his crew's main base of operations is on Beehive Island, which is where Rocks and his Pirate crew were formed.
The Blackbeard's current flagship is named the Saber of Xebec, supposedly named after Rocks D. Xebec himself.
Plus both Pirate Captains have the Will of D.
If you explain this to any higher rank Marines or veteran Marines, they'll shrug it off and say nonsense. But the way they look is suspicious when they respond, as they've seen ghost.
For now it remains a Theory.
