"I could have done this job by myself, you know." Mitsuki mused, eyeing the Rajinshu as they accompanied her. When she had told MiraJane that she was taking the job the barmaid was a little more than concerned. It seemed like a rougher job, and realistically Mistuki knew she would probably need some help.
Though having her brother's team tag along surprised her.
"Nonsense!" Freed Justine scoffed, giving her a look. "You're Laxus-Sama's sister! It's only right that we help you with this job!" The first thing Mitsuki learned was that they looked up to Laxus a lot. For what reason she didn't know, though from a brief conversation with Evergreen he had brought all of them to the guild and saved them from a lifetime of loneliness.
She could understand that being the reason why they look up to him. It made Mitsuki respect Laxus all the more if he was willing to give these three a home.
Shrugging, she knew it was already too late as it was. They were almost to the hotel anyway, and it wouldn't do her any good to make them turn back. Besides, if she were being honest with herself, she didn't want to. They brought some warmth with them, and she would have been lonely if she was going to be doing this job by herself.
"Besides, we wanted to get to know Laxus' half sister!" Bickslow piped up, grinning over at her as his "babies" hovered above him. Mitsuki had found his magic intriguing, never meeting a Seith Mage before. Hell, she hasn't met anyone quite like this team.
Fairy Tail sure had some interesting magics, that was for sure.
"Ah, so that was your master plan." Mitsuki teased him, though her heart was warming up that they wanted to get to know her. That was one of the things she had worried about upon joining the guild.
Whether or not they would want to get to know her or not.
"Laxus is still expelled from the guild, or else he'd want to get to know you as well." Bickslow informed her with a sigh. "I wish Gramps would see that he's changed his ways. Hell, he even helped us on Tenrou! Or well, he helped Team Natsu. I'm sure if he hadn't been there, there was no way they would have beat Hades." He mused, tapping his chin with his finger.
Mitsuki blinked in surprise at that. Hades sounded familiar, and she was sure her father had mentioned him once or twice. Despite him declaring that he loathed Fairy Tail he sure did talk about them a lot.
The hotel came into view. It was a gorgeous looking building, though there were some haunted vibes that left an unnatural aura. A three story hotel with a white exterior. It seemed like a five-star hotel and Mitsuki was sure that with the "hauntings" at the hotel they had been losing their regular numbers.
"It's gorgeous!" Evergreen breathed as we walked inside. The floors were gray marble. White counters lined the back of the lobby - where there was a lacrima monitor sitting on the counter tops. White couches littered the lobby area with fancy lamps on the end tables.
"Welcome!" A feminine voice piped up, causing the four of the wizards to look up to a pretty pink haired girl who was walking out from behind the counter. "Welcome to Velvet Oasis! I'm Niiro Sho, I manage this fine establishment. Are you here for a room?" She wonders, her blue eyes searching the wizards eyes.
"Actually," Mitsuki started as she took a step forward, "we're wizards from Fairy Tail. We're here about the job offer?" She handed the job flier towards Niiro, whose eyes lit up at that information.
"Thank you…" she breathes, relief shown in her eyes. "We've been having trouble for weeks. When I heard that you're wizards came back, I knew now was a good time to send out a job. I've tried various different guilds but no one will answer the job." She explains with a huff, looking a little annoyed - though Mitsuki could imagine why.
Freed frowned at that information. "Who all have you tried, ma'am?" He asked, polite as can be. If Mitsuki could put one word on him it was that he was regal. She could imagine him being a prince from another life.
"Blue Pegasus. Lamia Scale. And that newer guild, Sabertooth." She listed off, making Mitsuki wince. Blue Pegasus, while they tried, weren't exactly the most competent guild for this type of work. She was sure that they would run tail and hide if they ever had to deal with something of this magnitude. Lamia Scale could have done a good job at this, and she did wonder why they didn't take the job. Sabertooth… she was sure because the reward wasn't mentioned in the flier, they would never pick this up. They were worse than Raven Tail, and that said a lot.
The four wizards glanced at each other, perplexed at the amount of guilds that didn't want to do this job.
"I knew that if I sent the job to Fairy Tail it would get accepted. I'm glad to know I was right!" Niiro beamed as she continued, giving the group a starry look. "If this keeps up I'm not sure how much longer Velvet Oasis can be in service. A hotel is meant to be a cozy place for someone to spend their vacation, not a haunting… unless you're looking for that…" She chuckles faintly, shaking her head. Niiro looks over to them, giving the wizards a pleading look. "Please… you have to get rid of whatever is scaring away my guests!"
Mitsuki glanced over at her temporary team. Their eyes were filled with determination after hearing the pleading voice as they nodded to each other. "Where do we begin?"
So Mitsuki's first job as a Fairy Tail wizard begins… but at what cost?
