Fullmetal Saiyan
"Mind telling us what we're doing in your Workshop?" Kaen questioned his sister as he, Mina, and Eri walked through the attic workshop of their house.
"Yeah, Kaen promised me we'd take our flight to America for our Disney World vacation today." Mina said, dressed in nothing but a bikini top, and a mini-shorts, completed with a vest.
"Mama, Papa, when are we going?" Eri asked, dressed in a pair of red overalls and a blue t-shirt. "I wanna see Disney World, and I wanna meet the big talking Mouse." She had a hat on her head with two big round ears.
"We'll be leaving soon. Aunt Athena just has a few things she wants our help with. An' you'll be able to meet Mickey Mouse when we get there." Mina said.
"She's already wearing a Mickey Mouse Hat." Kaen chuckled.
"I was hoping you'd give my new invention a whirl." Athena said, pulling their attention to her, before holding up something that looked like a watch. "It's supposed to replicate the Instant Teleportation Quirk I have in my arsenal, with more efficiency and pin point accuracy to one's location, but in order for it to work, one of you needs to wear it."
"How exactly does it work?" Kaen questioned.
"Well when you put it on, you press the red button, and a hard-light holographic screen will be projected, and ask for coordinates." Athena explained. "It's still experimental, so start with a small distance, before going for a bigger one."
"Are you sure this is safe?" Mina inquired.
"I'm 50/50 on this." Athena said. "It could go either way."
"Alright, here goes." Kaen said.
"Careful Papa." Eri said.
Pressing the red button, Kaen brought up the hard-light screen, and put in five feet for the distance to teleport.
"Put a little more distance than that. Try putting in an address or a corner store that's nearby." Athena said.
"Are all Saiyans this nutty with tech?" Mina asked, holding Eri's hand. "'Cause I don't wanna end up like that."
"I think it's just an Athena thing." Kaen said, putting in the closest convenience store location. "I think she's been hanging around Rose, and Hatsume for too long."
"Hey!" Athena mock gasped. "They are not that bad. An' neither of them have caused anything to explode since I became a surrogate. So don't go mocking me or my friends, just because you don't understand how technology works."
"She's gonna rant again." Eri said.
"Fine, fine. Be back in a minute." Kaen sighed, before he disappeared. A short while waiting later, Kaen reappeared in the attic workshop, holding three Fruit Punch Rockstars.
"Who's thirsty?" Kaen smiled.
"I am." Eri smiled.
"Nice one." Mina smiled. "Hey Athena, can Kaen, Eri, and I take this to Disney World to avoid plane expenses?"
"I don't see why not." Athena said. "Just grab onto him before he leaves, and you should disappear with him."
"Alright, this should be good." Mina smiled.
"Got any Quirks for us before we go?" Kaen asked.
"I do for Mina actually, and I've been working on my deliverance, so you shouldn't feel any pain when I give them to you." Athena smiled. "I was wanting to wait until I had complete control over the deliverance of the Quirks to make them painless, so now's a perfect time." Athena smiled, Mina's face. Her hand lit up as she transferred copies of the chosen Quirk, before removing her hand. "There. How do you feel?"
"I've got a slight headache, but other than that I'm fine." Mina said. "What Quirks did you give me?"
"Well, I gave you a merged combination of two different Quirks I melded into one. But before I tell you what they are…" Athena smiled, looking over to her twin brother. "Kaen, why don't you go down stairs and grab your groups travel bags?"
"Oh right, be right back." Kaen said, running down the stairs of the attic.
"Okay spill, what did you give me?" Mina asked with a smile.
"Stick this… between your breasts." Athena smiled, holding up one of the two remaining cans of Rockstars, Eri already drinking one of them.
Mina took the can, and the instant it touched her bare skin, she shivered, feeling how cold it was from the convenience store fridge.
"Oooh, that's cold." Mina said, looking down after she shoved it all the way in. "Huh, where'd it go? I can't feel it anymore."
"Reach in, and pull it out." Athena said.
Mina did so, and was shocked her chest felt like an endless void, before she felt the can, grabbed it and pulled it out.
"Whoa." She smiled.
"Now reach in again." Athena smiled.
Mina did so, and to her surprise she felt another can, and pulled it out.
"What the? I could have sworn I only stuck the one can in there." Mina said. "What Quirks did you merge together, exactly Athena?"
"The two Quirks I merged together were Pocket Void, and Duplication." Athena smiled, enjoying the look of shock on Mina's face. "I call this Quirk, Duplication Void. Anything that's been in there once, you can create an infinite number of, and they're an exact duplicate, down to the last atom. I have it myself, and tested its limits. You can use it for storage, without duplicating the item if you want it that way. But it can also be used for safety reasons. Like hiding someone and protecting them from danger, without any risk to any long term stays."
"Cool." Mina smiled.
"Now Mama's chest is more then just a distraction for Papa when he gets mad at her for something stupid she did." Eri pointed out.
"What was that?" Athena questioned.
"Any other Quirks you give me?" Mina asked, wanting to change the subject as her face flushed violet.
"I couldn't really think of any others you might want. Any abilities on your mind, in particular you might desire?" Athena inquired.
"Hmm… I guess you do have a point. I can't really think of anything." Mina said, before an idea came to her. "Oh wait, I just thought of one. Can you give me a Quirk that allows me to permanently change my appearance? Like skin tone, or changing colors for camouflage?"
"What for?"
"I'd like to see what I'd look like with different colors of skin, like neon blue, or maybe emerald green, oh, how about purple, or maybe orange, what about Simpson Yellow?" Mina smiled excitedly.
"I guess that could work." Athena chuckled, putting her hand on Mina's face. "An' I have just the Quirk to give." After her fingers and hand glowed a bit, Athena removed her hand, and smiled at Mina. "Try thinking about what color you want your skin."
Mina smiled and closed her eye before it began to change, and her skin became a deep royal blue. "Wow, that's so cool." Mina smiled, before switching her skin back to pink.
"I gave you a simple camouflage Quirk, but since I upgraded it with Xerox, it can do more than just make you blend in with backgrounds." Athena explained.
"Anything for me Aunt Athena?" Eri asked.
"I have just the thing." Athena smiled, grabbing something from her Duplication Void, and putting it around Eri's shoulder. "This is a fanny pack made with Duplication Void, and a special sweet treat for you inside."
"Thank you Aunt Athena." Eri smiled, before she went running for the exit. "There's something I forgot to grab."
"I'm back you two." Kaen said, coming up with his and Mina's luggage, while Eri ran past him. "Where's Eri going?"
"Apparently she forgot to grab something." Mina said. "I can take the luggage." She smiled, taking the bags, and shoving them into her Duplication Void.
"Whoa." Kaen said with a blush. "That is a pretty handy Quirk."
"I know right?" Mina smiled, enjoying the flustered look on his face, as she tossed him the duplicated energy drink.
"One more thing." Athena said, tossing them a small sack, sounding like they were filled with something. "Celeron said, he went to the other earth during these last six years we haven't seen him right?"
"Yeah, he spied on Kakarot and learned that Kamehameha attack from watching him perform it several times." Kaen said. "He also brought back something that instantly healed his injuries. He called them Senzu Beans."
"Well you'll be happy to know, with the Senzu Bean you gave me, I managed to make my own garden of them." Athena said, tossing Kaen the bag. "That is filled with about twenty five Senzu Beans."
"I got this." Mina said, taking the beans and putting them where she'd put the luggage.
"Alright, you're all set to go." Athena said. "Now, you're just waiting on Eri."
"I'm back." Eri called out, running back up to them. "Sorry to keep you waiting."
"Now that everyone going on this trip is here, Disney World here we come." Mina said, as Kaen put the coordinates into the watch.
"Here we go." Kaen smiled hitting enter, as Mina grabbed Eri's hand, while grabbing Kaen's with the other.
The watch began to power up, but Athena knew there was something wrong when the teleportation device began to glitch, and apparently, she wasn't the only one to notice this malfunction.
"Athena, what's going on?" Kaen questioned.
"I don't know. Something's wrong. I tested out every simulation I needed to before making this, and it's never happened in any of them." Athena said looking at the device. "The watch is malfunctioning. The distance is too great for it to handle in its beta testing phase."
"This is bad." Kaen said. "I can't get it off."
"Hold on Kaen, we'll get it off you." Mina said grabbing at it.
Kaen saw the device was overloading, and about to blow. Looking to Mina, Kaen pushed her and Eri back, not wanting either of them to get caught up in the explosion.
"Hold on, I've got a remote somewhere to remotely undo the locks." Athena said, searching through her workshop.
"I don't think we have the time." Mina said.
"You three find cover." Kaen ordered her the three girls.
"No, I won't leave you Papa." Eri cried out, hugging him tight.
"Eri, you have to leave, and find cover to avoid the explosion." Kaen said.
"No, if you're going down, we're going with you." Mina said, taking Eri into her arms, and grabbing Kaen's hand. "I'm positive this won't kill you, so wherever this thing takes us, we'll see it through, together."
"Mina…" Kaen paused. "I'm sorry for getting you and Eri into this mess."
"You didn't get us into this mess. We chose to be here." Mina said with a soft smile.
Kaen pulled Mina and Eri in for a hug, as the three of them embraced one another for the inevitable explosion. Without a sound, the device connected to Kaen's wrist went off, enveloping the trio in a flash of light, before the loud boom echoed out, causing the windows to burst, and for the building to quake.
"Athena?" Toshinori called out, racing into the workshop with Gine, both of them gasping when they saw the attic looked like a bomb had gone off. "Athena?" He inquired with a bit more panic in his voice.
"Over here." Athena called out, pushing a table off her, and coughing up the smoke in her lungs, caressing her pregnant curve.
"Athena what happened?" Gine questioned, running to Athena, to see if she, or her cargo, was all right. "Are you hurt anywhere? Are the babies okay?"
Gine and Toshinori noticed the look of sadness and pain on her face, before she broke down, crying into her mother's embrace.
"I'm sorry mom, dad." Athena balled. "I'm sorry. I couldn't stop it, and… and…"
"Hey, it's okay, you're safe now." Toshinori said.
"But it's not okay." Athena said. "Kaen, Mina, and Eri were up here to and they… I let them use my latest invention to go to Disney World, to skip the long flights, and my device malfunctioned and…"
"What was your device meant to do?" Toshinori asked, knowing Athena would never intend to invent something that was meant for harming innocent people.
"It was supposed to utilize the Instant Teleportation Quirk I have in my Xerox arsenal. Kaen tested it by going to the store and coming back with some drinks, but it couldn't handle the distance from here to Florida." Athena explained.
"Where are they now Athena. Where are Kaen, Mina, and Eri now?" Gine inquired.
Athena just began crying and pushed herself deeper into Gine's embrace.
"Gine… I think I know what happened to them." Toshinori said, solemnly.
Gine turned to Toshinori, and saw he was looking, directly at one of the walls. Turning her gaze to match his, she gasped, when she saw three silhouettes of ash, embracing each other.
"Oh no." Gine gasped.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, it's all my fault. I shouldn't have been so prideful of my device, and let them use it." Athena sobbed. "Mina was certain that the explosion wouldn't kill them, that it would only take them somewhere else. But now, I can't help but feel she was wrong."
"This isn't your fault sweetie." Gine said, as she began to tear up.
"Why would you build something like that in the first place though?" Toshinori inquired.
"I thought if I did, Heroes could get to villain attacks faster and there'd be less property damage or casualties as a result." Athena cried.
"Oh, Athena." Toshinori said, pulling her into a hug. "You're always thinking of others safety before your own. An' I'm proud of you for that."
"C'mon, the fire department and police are gonna be here soon." Gine said. "Let's get out of the attic to let them do their job. No doubt an ambulance to. They're gonna want to take you to the hospital after this mess."
~Gate of Truth~
Kaen cried out as his body felt like it was being broken down, before he felt his entire being was enveloped by a white void, with thousands upon thousands of information data being downloaded directly into his brain, like a computer being overloaded with too much data.
"Make it stop, make it stop." Kaen cried out, attempting to shut his eyes tight, but several tendrils forced his eyes to remain open, causing him to cry out as he felt like his head was gonna explode. When he felt like he was gonna die, he found herself, standing in front of a large door with a Celtic tree carved into it, in a blank white void.
"Welcome."
Kaen twisted around, to see a white silhouette of a figure, as pure white as the void around him, with the same figure and body as the Saiyan. The only thing allowing the Saiyan to see this being, was a black molecular substance surrounding its form.
"Who are you?" Kaen asked.
"Oh, I'm so glad you asked. I am an existence that you mortals like to call, the world. In other words, the universe, God, Truth, all, one, and most of all, I'm you." The figure said, pointing at Kaen.
"Why am I here, what do you want with me?" Kaen asked.
"You are the one who came to my domain uninvited brat." Truth stated. "I believe it was all thanks to that annoying little device your sister Athena made for you to use."
"The Instant Teleportation watch?" Kaen questioned, looking at his wrist in shock, finding the device was gone.
"But this is quite the opportunity I am presented with, as I am needing someone to take care of a little problem for my country, called Amestris. Well the planet this country is on isn't so little it's not really little, but I am unable to interfere directly, due to the fact I am Truth, and a balance of equivalent exchange must be maintained constantly. So I am unable to interfere. I am so happy, that I ended up being able to recruit, a Saiyan of all things. But before I go, it is time for you to pay the toll for passing through the gate."
"There's a toll?" Kaen asked. "What exactly do I have to pay?"
"Something of equal exchange for passing through my gate and traveling from Earth to Amestris, and for obtaining the knowledge you've acquired. An' don't worry, you'll find out the purpose behind your job in Amestris, soon enough." Truth said, before the doors behind Kaen opened up, revealing a large eyeball, and the tendrils tearing him apart from earlier, reaching out for him again.
"Wait, no stop, not again." Kaen cried out as he tried to fight back against the tendrils, before looking back at Truth. "What is it you're wanting from me?"
"At the very least, one of your limbs." Truth said.
"One of my… No, you cannot take any of my limbs." Kaen stated.
"An equivalent exchange must be made."
"Stop." The sudden appearance of that voice caused Truth to pause, and for the Gate of Truth to halt in its attempts at collecting Kaen's body, and the toll.
Kaen's eyes widened, and he gasped as Pinach, the brother he absorbed before birth, and the cause of his D.I.D, was standing between him and Truth.
"Oh? What's this? You had another soul within your body?" Truth asked.
"You need a toll for passing through right?" Pinach asked, looking right at Truth. "I offer up my soul, in exchange for him to pass through."
"Pinach no." Kaen cried out.
"Hmm, interesting proposal. But a soul is all you are. I need a piece of his physical body to complete the exchange." Truth stated.
Pinach just looked at Truth, before sighing in defeat.
"Pinach, stop. Just let him take the toll from me, I can't lose you." Kaen said.
"It's fine bro. I wasn't meant to be alive anyway, that's why you absorbed me before we were born. Though I will admit, it's kinda fun projecting myself like this from your body." Pinach said, before looking back at Truth. "Will you grant me the chance to choose what to grab from Kaen as the toll?"
Truth thought this over before, looking at Pinach, a smile forming on his face.
"Very well. I am interested in what you choose."
Pinach turned around and marched up to Kaen, giving him a sympathetic look, before pointing at Kaen's tail.
"His tail. A Saiyan's tail is the source of our true power." Pinach said.
"That would be more than enough. Then as an exchange for such a thing, I will give you more information about alchemy." Truth said.
"Pinach." Kaen said.
"Goodbye, and good luck bro." Pinach smiled before the doors shut on Kaen, sealing him in eternal darkness.
~Elsewhere~
"Hmm…" A man sitting in a large stone throne, in a dark chamber, hummed in pondering thought as he closed his book. "Something is amiss."
"Father, what is it?" A sultry woman's voice asked from the shadows.
"I am not sure my child, but I sense something isn't right. It feels as though a new piece, has been added to the game." The man known as Father, said.
"Shall Gluttony and I find it, and take care of it?"
"No, let it be for now. They could prove to be an important asset to our plans." Father said. "If the time comes that they do become a thorn in our side, then we will eliminate them."
"As you wish, Father."
"Father." A man with a girlish figure and long dreadlock like hair and a headband.
"What is it Envy?"
"We found something you mind find interesting." Envy said, as a large muscle bound being sauntered in, carrying an unconscious pink haired and skinned Mina.
"What a pain." The musclebound man said.
"Oh, fascinating." The man known as Father said, putting his book down.
"She doesn't appear to be human. From her skin pigment and the horns on her head, she appears to be a Chimera of sorts." Envy said. "We think she might also have had a tail, as blood does appear to be leaking from her lower back, where a tail might have been."
"Provide her with medical treatment, and get her prepped. I want to test out an experiment with her." Father said.
~Kaen~
"Pinach no." Kaen cried out, his eyes snapping open as he shot up into a sitting position.
Kaen calmed down, as he found himself sitting in the middle of a forest, while to his right there was a camp fire, and upon looking down, Eri was at his side, but there was something different about her.
"Eri, oh my god." Kaen gasped, getting to his knees, and examining the nubs of her legs and the empty sockets of her shoulders. "Eri what happened to your arms and legs?"
"They were taken as her toll."
Kaen looked up, and across from him on the other side of the fire, was a man with long golden blonde hair on his head and face, and golden eyes, wearing a worn brown suit, with glasses, and his long hair in a pony tail.
"Her toll? You mean she saw that truth bastard too?" Kaen questioned.
"I see I wasn't mistaken. You have seen the truth." The man said. "My name, is Van Hohenheim."
"Kaen Yagi." Kaen said. "Sorry that I can't stay to chat, I have to get my daughter to a hospital."
"Sit down." Hohenheim said. "She's not in any danger. I used alchemy to seal the wounds, and to replenish almost all the blood she lost. At most, the amount still missing is equivalent to that of a blood donation given from her."
Kaen just looked at Hohenheim before, sitting back down, cradling Eri in his arms still.
"I'm curious. What would be so important, that you'd commit Human Transmutation and open the Gates of Truth?" Hohenheim questioned. "Your own daughter got caught in the rebound."
"That's not how I ended up in front of the Gate of Truth, or Eri I suppose." Kaen said. "We were caught up in an explosion that involved a device my sister was working on. The three of us. But it would appear Mina didn't appear anywhere near here like Eri and me."
"I see. So I take it you're from the other side of the gates?" Hohenheim asked.
"We are." Kaen said. "In our world, 80% of the population have abilities we call Quirks. The device my sister made utilized a teleportation Quirk." He explained, looking at his arm that was healed from the burns of the device going off. "I guess you could say that the explosion was the rebound the three of us got caught up in that sent us through the Gates of Truth."
"Did you happen to speak with Truth, before arriving here?" Hohenheim questioned.
"I did. He said… he said there was a problem he wanted me to take care of in Amestris." Kaen stated.
"Did he specify what that problem was?" Hohenheim inquired.
"No. But I get the feeling, I'm looking right at a key player in that problem." Kaen said. "What are you exactly? You can't be human."
"You're an astute one." Hohenheim said. "I am not human. I am a walking, living Philosophers Stone."
"Philosophers Stone?" Kaen asked.
"That is correct."
"You mentioned using alchemy earlier. Back in my world, alchemy was the basis that lead to the development of modern medicine." Kaen stated. "But the art of transmuting one element into another, was lost to myth and lore when modern medical science relied less and less on texts and inscriptions from the earliest alchemists. Even the tales of the Philosophers Stone, was lost to legends and fantasy."
"I see. So our two worlds differ that much I take it."
"Yet you're telling me, that you are a walking, talking Philosophers Stone?" Kaen asked.
"I can show you that I'm not lying." Hohenheim said.
"After going through what I just went through, I believe you." Kaen stated. "I'm just surprised is all."
"I take it you're a fan of alchemy?" Hohenheim questioned.
"I've tinkered with the old methods, but I never succeeded." Kaen said. "My sister was always the brains between the two of us, and I was the brawn."
"I guess that would balance things in your sibling dynamic." Hohenheim said reaching into his pocket. "Head south, and get to a place called Resembool. There, you'll find a house, with a sign called, Rockbell Automail."
"A type of prosthetic I take it?"
"Yes." Hohenheim said, pulling something from his pocket. "Give this to Pinako Rockbell, the proprietor of Rockbell Automail. It should be able to cover any expenses for getting your daughter fitted for automail."
"You said Rockbell. My sister has a friend named Rockbell in her class." Kaen said.
"It might not have anything to do with one another. But that does seem intriguing." Hohenheim said. "Now get going, and tell Pinako, I said hi."
Kaen nodded, and took the item before putting it in his pocket. Without saying another word, Kaen held Eri tight in his arms and took to the skies, surprising Hohenheim as he stopped, and nearly broke the sound barrier as he took off south.
"Well I'll be… Must have been part of his Quirk." Hohenheim said.
~Rockbell Automail~
Pinako Rockbell hummed quietly as she looked over the paperwork for the week. They weren't behind on any sort of payments, or lacking any funds by any means, but things were still a little tight, with it being a small town low on funds, recovering from a civil war.
"Hmm, seems we're doing alright for now." Pinako said, blowing out a puff of smoke from her pipe. Her thoughts were interrupted by a bit of a frantic knocking on the door.
"Can you get that Winry?" Pinako asked.
"On it Grandma."
Pinako relaxed as she continued to look over the paperwork till the sound of Winry's panicked foot steps drew her attention to the door, and she watched as Winry slid to a stop, a panicked look on the blonde's face, as she looked at her grandmother.
"Grandma, we have an emergency." Winry said.
~Later~
"She's fine. Gotta say, I've only seen one person with this level of skill when it comes to medical alchemy." Pinako said. "You had a run in with a man named, Hohenheim I presume?"
"He did patch her up pretty good." Kaen said, looking at Winry. 'I can't believe it, she looks just like Athena's classmate. It can't just be coincidence.'
"I'm assuming you're wanting her fitted for automail?" Winry asked.
"Uh, yeah I would like her fitted for it. Hohenheim did give me something that he said could cover the expenses for the automail." Kaen said, reaching into his pocket, and pulling out a gemstone, that fit in most of the palm of his hand. "Oh, I was not aware it was a diamond."
"No need to worry about the fee." Pinako said. "I'll simply ask you to do some chores in exchange. In the meantime, I'm sure you'd like to head home."
"I uh… actually don't have a home to go to." Kaen said.
"That's a shame." Pinako said. "I'll set up the spare cot."
"Here." Winry said, giving Kaen a cup of tea.
"Thank you." Kaen said, looking up at Winry.
"She's important to you huh?" Winry asked.
"Yeah. My daughter is one of the most important people ever to me." Kaen said, looking at Eri with the IV Drip connected to her shoulder.
"Is the other person, her mother?" Winry questioned.
"Yeah." Kaen said. "We got separated, and I need to find her."
"That's so sad." Winry said.
"Winry, why don't you give Ed a call?" Pinako suggested, coming into the room with some snacks. "He might be able to help find her with his connection to the military."
"Yeah he might. But it's kinda late, so I'll call him in the morning." Winry said.
"The cot's all set up, so why don't you go and get some sleep." Pinako said. "After you finish the snacks, get some sleep. You seem like you need it."
"Thanks. But I'd rather not leave…"
"Papa?"
Kaen's eyes widened and he turned his head back to look right at Eri, her eyes barely open.
"Papa, why can't I reach out to grab you?" Eri asked.
"Oh Eri." Kaen said, tears in his eyes, as he fell to his knees and held her in his arms.
"Papa, what's wrong? Why can't I feel my arms or legs?" Eri asked.
"I'm sorry Eri. I'm so sorry." Kaen cried. "I was supposed to protect you, but I failed."
"It's okay Papa." Eri said. "Where's Mama?"
Pinako and Winry looked at the scene in front of them, and smiled softly before heading out and closing the door behind them.
"Are we sure we should be leaving them alone right now?" Winry asked.
"Give him a moment to let this pass. He's just relieved she woke up, so it's only natural he'd react this way." Pinako said. "For now, I think Ed might still be up. So try giving him a call. I'll be sure to have everything prepped for Eri's surgery by tomorrow."
~Two Weeks Later Central Command~
The night was dark, and the streets of Central were nearly bear with the occasional set of people walking home from their late shifts at work. Unknown to them, in a dark alleyway, a man was drawing in chalk, a transmutation circle of his specialty.
In Central Command, Colonel Mustang was in a meeting with Fuhrer Bradly, discussing the very man who was out on the streets, drawing transmutation circles.
"The Freezing Alchemist?" Mustang questioned. "Really, he's here?"
"We have information he managed to slip into Central a few days ago." Bradly said. "That's why I've summoned you here Colonel. I need you and your men to smoke him out, and bring him in."
"Consider it done, sir." Mustang said.
"Hmph. I'm glad you're with us in Central for a while Mustang." The Fuhrer chuckled. "It's good to know I have people here I can count on."
"Sir."
"Uh, one last thing. Our rising young star is here as well." Bradly exclaimed. "I'm placing them at your disposal."
"Forgive me Fuhrer Bradly, but just to be clear, are you referring to…?"
"I am." Bradly said. "The State Alchemist known as the Fullmetal Alchemist. Edward Elric."
~Rooftop in Central Somewhere~
"Ah damn it." Ed cursed. "The Colonel's never gonna let us out of here is he?"
"We already bought our tickets for Liore to, does this mean we're not going?" Al inquired.
"It'll be fine Al." Ed stated. "C'mon, let's hurry and get this over with so we can go."
"Lead the way Brother." Al said following Ed as they jumped over rooftops.
~Alleyways~
"There he goes, after him." An officer shouted as he spotted the fugitive.
"You halt. Halt or I'll shoot." One of the MP's said, as he and his partner held up their guns.
Isaac held up his arm, showing the transmutation circle engraved onto the metal of his gauntlet and used his alchemy on the water around him, creating spikes of ice that killed the two MP's, before the spikes melted into water and he had a clear path again, until he was stopped by two more MP's. Before the officers could inflict damage on Isaac, he grabbed one of them by the wrist, freezing the water that comprised his body, killing the man, while super heating the water in the other MP's body to where he was boiled alive from the inside.
"Water freezes, water boils, either way you're just as dead." Isaac said, before he was forced to jump back, from a spear being thrown at him, as it gave off sparks of blue lightning. "That's alchemy."
"What a nasty thing to do." Edward said walking into Isaac's sight.
"You of all people should know, great deeds require great sacrifice. Isn't that the law of equivalent exchange?" Isaac questioned, gaining a maddened look in his eyes.
"Save your breath, the laws of alchemy don't justify murder." Ed exclaimed before clapping his hands together and turning the spear into a spiked club, with his face on it.
"No transmutation circle?" Isaac questioned.
"Don't be too impressed." Ed exclaimed, before he went running at the fugitive. "NOW."
From behind Al came to grab Isaac, from behind, pulling him into a grapple, and trying to keep him in place.
Using his alchemy to free himself, Isaac pushed the armored arms back, and knocked Al backwards with a kick, before bending back at the same time to avoid Ed's strike, and crossing his arms forward, blocking Ed's attack with his gauntlet as the blonde swung down. Using his upper body strength, Isaac knocked Ed back, and just as Al came for another attempt to grab him, he kicked the armored giant in the chest plate, knocking him back into Al, before he blocked another strike from Ed's spiked club, and used his alchemy on his right arm, but it had no affect on him.
"What?" Isaac questioned, before bringing his arms upward, to avoid getting hit in the head from an attack from Alphonse from behind. "Impossible, I had you. Any water there, should have boiled." He said, throwing Alphonse forward, in a double shoulder throw.
"If it's any consolation, you did ruin my coat." Ed exclaimed, lowering his Automail arm.
"An' Automail arm." Isaac said, as Alphonse stood up.
"A young gifted alchemist. He doesn't need to use a transmutation circle. He has a right Automail arm. I know you, you are the Fullmetal Alchemist, Edward Elric." Isaac said, before pointing to Alphonse. "So, it's not you?"
"Uh, no I'm his younger brother, Alphonse."
"But he's a runt." Isaac said.
"OH YEAH CAN A RUNT DO THIS?" Ed shouted before clapping his hands together, and pressing them to the ground, before he trapped Isaac in pillars of stone, like a puzzle.
"I've heard the stories, but still I've never imagined this." Isaac said. "The Fullmetal Alchemist is just a little kid."
"WHO ARE YOU CALLING LITTLE?" Ed shouted, hitting him from both sides, with stone fists made from alchemy.
"You know, I don't think he was talking about your height just now." Alphonse said, as Ed were fuming mad, before the realized what Al was talking about.
"Well even if he wasn't he still pissed me off." Athena and Ed shouted in unison.
Later, after more MP's showed up to take Isaac away, one of them stopped in front of Al, as Ed used alchemy to repair his jacket.
"So you're the one we've been hearing all the stories about lately, the Fullmetal Alchemist." The MP said.
"Well, actually I'm not the Fullmetal Alchemist, I'm actually his younger brother." Al said, before pointing over to where Ed was. "That's the Fullmetal Alchemist right there if you're wanting to meet him."
"Well, either way you're as good as the stories say, thanks for the help." The MP said, before walking off.
"C'mon let's get going Al, we've got a train to catch." Ed stated after putting his fixed coat back on.
"Coming brother." Al said.
Before the duo could actually leave, there was a commotion and a large explosion of steam, drawing their attention to Isaac's escorts, and running to them before seeing as Isaac had disappeared, leaving behind the corpses of his escorts.
"It's hot." Ed cried out, shielding himself with his automail arm.
"He's gone." Al said.
"Damn it, now he really pissed me off." Ed exclaimed.
~Central Command~
"Looks like you underestimated your opponent Fullmetal." Mustang said.
"Who is this guy anyway?" Ed questioned.
Sitting on the couch in Mustang's temporary office, Ed's red coat and black clothing could be better seen with a pair of white gloves accompanying the outfit. His golden blonde hair was long, and tied in a braid.
"You'd know that if you'd listened to the briefing like I told you to." Mustang stated. "But no, you had to go charging right after him."
"Yeah, yeah I get it all right. I'm sorry, kay? Whatever."
"Next time a superior tells you to pay attention, you might just try it." Mustang sighed.
"His name is Isaac McDougal." Riza Hawkeye, Mustang's assistant began, going over the briefing. "But during the War of Ishval, he was known as Isaac the Freezer. But his code name was the Freezing Alchemist. He's a former State Alchemist."
"Former?"
"That's right. He served in the Ishvalan War of extermination." Mustang said. "During that time, he gave us no signs that he'd turn traitor. But after, he immediately resigned his commission and went into hiding."
"According to the records, he's been working with the Anti-establishment Movement, ever since." Riza said, rereading over McDougal's file.
"Taking him into custody, is a matter of top priority." Mustang said. "Whether it's dead or alive, that's up to him."
"No way, I'm not killing anyone for you." Ed exclaimed.
"An' that's your choice to make." Mustang said. "But you should know that being in the military, there may come a time when you're not given a choice, but to kill. I understand it may bring up unpleasant memories of that day, three years ago, but it's inevitable. Your orders are simply to help us contain McDougal. Off topic. Have you turned up any leads for getting your bodies back to normal?" He questioned, before the doors burst open.
"Roy, how goes?" A man with black hair, wearing glasses called out. "Hear you let them put you in charge of catching the Freezer huh? One hell of a nasty assignment, but hey could be your chance to earn that promotion to Central. Oh say looks like my timing was perfect, you two are the Elric brother's right?" He asked as he spotted Ed, and Al and began shaking the armored hand furiously. "Wow, it's an honor to finally meet the youngest State Alchemist ever, you're a real legend around here. I'm Lieutenant Colonel Maes Hughes, a pleasure."
"Um, you want Edward, I'm actually his younger brother Alphonse." Al exclaimed.
"What? You're the Fullmetal Alchemist? Sorry, I had no idea you'd be so…"
'Go on say it, call me short.' Ed dared.
"Hughes." Mustang said.
"Yeah?"
"What are you doing here? Go home."
"Actually, I'm here on official business." Hughes said, causing Mustang confusion. "You two, I understand you don't have a place to stay, which means that you'll have to come with me." He said, reaching into his coat pocket, and pulling out a picture of his wife and daughter. "My wife, Gracia, and my daughter Elicia, we'd love to have you."
~Hughes Residence~
"Hi Princess." Hughes smiled, pulling his daughter Elicia in for a hug, scratching her with the scruff of his beard.
"Ow. Daddy, your beard is itchy." Elicia laughed.
"Like this? Itchy, itchy." Hughes said, rubbing his beard against Elicia, causing her to laugh some more.
"Look we have guests, these are the Elric Brothers." Hughes said.
"Big brother. Little brother." Elicia said, pointing to Al, then to Ed.
"Nicer to meet you. I'm Edward, and this is my younger brother Al. Get it? Younger." Ed stated through gritted teeth.
"But younger means little, you're little." Elicia said.
"Hope you three are hungry. Gracia's cooking is delicious." Hughes smiled, with Al restraining Ed coming up behind them.
At the dinner table, Ed and Al looked at the food in aw.
"No need to feel shy boys, Gracia made plenty so feel free to dig in and eat as much as you want." Hughes smiled.
"Now don't be shy, dig in." Gracia smiled.
"Don't mind if I do." Ed smiled, digging into the food. "Oh man, it's so good. This is great."
"Alphonse, how you gonna eat wearing that armor? Take it off, relax." Hughes said noticing how Al wasn't eating with him.
"He can't." Ed began, trying to come up with an excuse as to why Al couldn't eat, and why he was wearing the armor. "It's a ritual in the Elric family for alchemy training. He has to wear the armor constantly, and can't show his face from under it for a certain amount of time before his training's complete. But don't worry, I'll be sure to eat plenty for the both of us." Ed smiled.
"Training, Choo-choo." Elicia smiled.
"Well, that certainly is a rough style of alchemy training." Hughes chuckled. "Makes me glad I never picked up an interest in it."
~Central Prison~
"Hahahahaha. Hands down, that's got to be the funniest joke I've heard in a long, long time." A man in an isolation cell, laughed as Isaac was standing outside his cell door, giving him an offer. "The Freezing Alchemist wants me to come play his sidekick. Well as fun as that sounds, the Crimson Alchemist works alone, I always have."
"Kimblee, if we work together, we can bring down Bradly and this Godforsaken military." Isaac said. "You saw the horrors that took place in Ishval. You were there damn it. You knew the kinds of things Bradly ordered us to do, the kind of man he really is. That's why you killed all those officers isn't it? To send him a message."
"Hahahahaha. I think you've got me all wrong. My motives aren't so, sophisticated as revenge or honor or anything like that. The reason I killed all of those men, was because I could." Kimblee said. "It's that simple."
"That's too bad Kimblee. That truly is too bad." Isaac said, walking away, and pushing the guard he killed, over onto the ground, causing him to shatter like glass. "Keep up the good work."
~Hughes Residence~
Hughes was out sitting on the couch, trying to wrap his head around why Mustang, his oldest friend since their days as cadets, would rope two children, into the lives of State Alchemists. He was so caught up in thought, he didn't even realize Gracia came out to check on him until she spoke up.
"Maes dear, what's wrong, can't sleep?" Gracia questioned.
"Guess not." Hughes sighed.
"I know what's in that head of yours." Gracia said, sitting down next to him. "You're worried about those boys, aren't you?"
"You do know what they call State Alchemists right? The Dogs of the Military, not exactly the most popular bunch. I try to imagine what enduring that must be like at their age." Hughes sighed.
~Dark Alley~
"One more. One more and Fuhrer Bradly is on his way to hell." Isaac said, after completing another transmutation circle.
~The Following Day~
"We have a confirmed report that McDougal broke into Central Prison last night." Mustang said. "Whatever he's up to, he's growing bold. That means our time is short. Close off all roads, search every square inch of the city. When you find him, shoot on sight. That is an order from the Fuhrer himself. But if I find him first, he's mine."
~Late Afternoon~
"Get a medic, hurry." An MP called out.
"Report to Headquarters, five men dead." Another MP called out.
"How awful." Al said as he was standing in front of the body with Ed and Athena.
"It looks like a steam explosion." Ed exclaimed. "Raise the temperature of water fast enough, it expands with the force of a bomb blast. An' the human body is 70% water. C'mon, we have to find him before he hurts anyone else."
~Alleyway~
"Finished." Isaac said, before the wall beside him began to light up with alchemic energy. Acting purely on instinct, Isaac jumped back, right before he could be skewered.
"Impressive reflexes Isaac. Few are able to dodge my alchemy so easily." A boisterous voice called out from the other side of the wall.
"I know that voice. Is that you Armstrong?" Isaac questioned, right before a spiked metal fist with an alchemic transmutation circle, came through the wall.
"Indeed. None other." Armstrong said, bursting through the wall, creating a cloud of dust, before he came walking out of it. "It is I, the Strong Arm Alchemist, Alex Louis Armstrong in the flesh." He said, showing his blonde mustache and single lock of hair on his forehead, with stars glistening around him.
"Ah, shut it." Isaac stated, before using the water in the alley to send a high pressure blade of water at him. "High pressure water will cut through anything, and I've always wanted to chop that ego of yours down to size." Isaac said, as the blade of liquid cut through the stone spikes that had failed in impaling him.
"Except you'll need far more than water, to quench my fists." Alex said, as the fight began.
As the fight raged on, the commotion drew the attention of several people, and two young State Alchemists and a suit of armor.
"Found you." Ed called out racing towards the battle. When getting in the alley, she spotted Isaac fighting against Major Armstrong. "Major, I'm coming."
"Young Elric." Alex nodded, causing Isaac to look behind him, just before Ed threw a punch at the Freezing Alchemist. Isaac managed to dodge it, but knew he was out of his league when fighting against both of these alchemists, so using water from his Canteen, Isaac created a cloud of steam that Ed took on full force, and ran past him.
"Edward Elric, are you all right?" Armstrong questioned, coming to the young Alchemists side.
"I'm fine, just a little shocked, now let's go after him."
~That Night~
"Damn it." Isaac cursed, coming back to the sight of the battle, and grabbing the rubble on top of his transmutation circle, before smiling, seeing that it was still in one piece. "Still there, perfect."
"That's far enough." Edward stated, standing behind him. "I found it a little odd, you'd be spending more than your fair amount of time in alleyways. But then it occurred to me that you might be up to something, so for the last several hours, I've been stakeing out this area since our last encounter."
"There's nowhere to run, this time." Al said as he came in at the opposite end of the alley.
"Clearly, but who's running?" Isaac questioned, before his transmutation circle began glowing red, causing a chain reaction in his other transmutation circles.
"Brother, you know what this means?" Al questioned.
"An' Alchemic reaction on this scale, can't be possible, unless he had some way of bypassing the laws of equivalent exchange. A Philosopher's Stone." Ed smirked, before the light turned blue, and ice began to form. "He's freezing all the moisture in the air."
"Edward Elric." Isaac said as the circle was still glowing red under the ice. "You've sworn you life to the state as Dogs of the Military. But, do you really know the ones you serve, or what their true plans are?"
"Who cares? It's not our problem." Ed exclaimed.
"Don't be fools. He'll lead us all to ruin, I'm only doing what needs to be done." Isaac said.
"I told you I don't care." Edward said, before he and Alphonse jumped over the wall of ice forming, and came stomping down, both of them trying to fight Isaac, before he was kicked away down and out of the alley, before he slammed into the railing leading into the river.
"Alright nice work Al." Ed smirked.
"But we still have to stop his alchemy." Al said.
"Alright pal, where is it?" Ed questioned. "You have a Philosopher's Stone, on you somewhere don't you?"
"An' what are you gonna do boy? You're out of your league." Isaac said, before the river behind him began turning to ice, before forming glaciers. This sudden act of alchemy, was no surprised to Isaac, as he just smiled in victory before he held his arm up and grabbed the railing that brought him into the air with the glacier, as it got caught on the ice. This got the duo running off towards where Alex was.
"Stand back and be prepared for a display of Armstrong Alchemy." Alex said, taking a fighting stance.
"He's all yours major." Ed called out as they ran past him.
"Witness the Alchemic Art, passed down the Armstrong line for Generations." Alex declared before he slammed his fist into the glacier. He initially thought the stop was his doing, but that was dashed away as at the same time, it sprouted out to the side, destroying buildings. "That's unexpected."
"What the hell are you doing? You're making it worse." Ed called out.
"Uh, I was merely…" Alex stopped when a building further down the street from them was destroyed with a glacier of ice coming out of it.
"This isn't just a normal attack." Ed said. "The glaciers are moving in a specific pattern. They're forming a city sized transmutation circle. An' when they meet in the middle, they'll all freeze over Central Command."
"Elrics, you two try and slow him down. I'll take care of the Transmutation Circles." Armstrong said.
With their directives, Alex and the brothers went to take care of their tasks. Reaching one of the circles, cased over in ice, Alex prepared to destroy the circle, before a resounding voice echoed through the air.
"SMASH."
The ground beneath his feet quaked, and turning around, Alex saw something he wasn't expecting. The glaciers were beginning to crumble away, one by one as it looked like something, or someone was tunneling through them with a power he'd never seen before.
"What in the world?" Was all the Major could say.
~Glacier Heading for Central Command~
"Fuhrer King Bradly, for your coldblooded crimes in Ishval, I condemn you to a frozen hell." Isaac said.
"Not so fast." Ed called out as he and Al were chasing after him, using Alchemy to jump onto the glacier.
Isaac used alchemy on the glacier's surface to try and envelope the Elric Brothers in ice, but it was stopped when Ed destroyed the front part of the glacier.
"Two can play at that game." Ed exclaimed as he made his move.
Jumping into the air, Isaac used alchemy on a large chunk of ice to turn it into boiling hot water that rained down on Ed and Al. As Ed was flailing about because of the hot water, Isaac came down to try and kill Ed with his alchemy.
"Brother." Al cried out, pulling Ed back.
"Too slow." Isaac said, grabbing Alphonse by the face, and using his alchemy on him.
"Alphonse." Ed cried out as the armor fell back.
Stepping up to the Elric brothers to finish off Ed, Isaac was taken aback when Al kicked upwards, forcing him to backtrack, as Al used the momentum of the kick to keep going and get back on his feet, giving Isaac a view of what's inside the armor, including the blood seal.
"There's no one in there, it's empty." Isaac said, his eyes wide with shock. "But that… that could only be true if his soul was bonded to the armor. So you lost your arm, and your brother… he'd lost his entire body. I see, it all makes sense." He smirked as Al put his head back on. "You fools committed the ultimate taboo. You attempted Human Transmutation didn't you? Alchemy's one and only unforgiveable sin."
There was a tense moment of silence as the memories of what happened that day, came back to Ed.
"You know, there are some lines you really shouldn't cross." Ed exclaimed, before he went running up to Isaac, and slammed his steel prosthetic into his chest, causing the man to bend over, before Ed entwined both his fists into one, and brought them down on Isaac's head, slamming him into the frozen ground. Taking the chance, Isaac created two spikes of ice that were aimed to skewer Edward, but the spry little boy jumped back as Al came forward and destroyed the ice, before kicking Isaac off the glacier.
Right before Ed and Al were about to jump off, the glacier began to quake, and when they looked back, they were shocked to see the glacier was falling apart behind them. Acting fast, and not wanting to get caught in the glaciers crumbling, Ed and Al jumped, sliding down the side of the ice, just barely avoiding being caught in the glacier's destruction, as they went to where Isaac was just picking himself up off the ground, blood pooling from his right arm.
"Give it up, there's no water for you to use here." Ed exclaimed.
"Heh. You've forgotten something, I've all the water I need, 70% of my body." Isaac said.
This shook Ed, as he wasn't expecting Isaac to be desperate enough to use his own body for a source of water. Isaac sent an attack at the alchemist, but it never reached the young blonde boy, as a wall of a man leapt in front of him, taking the attack for Ed, and shattering the blood ice on impact.
"What the?" Ed questioned, shocked at who this newcomer was. "Who are you?"
"I'm a friend." Kaen groaned, pulling a shard of the blood from his shoulder. "Pinako and Winry say hi by the way."
"I don't care how many of you idiots there are. Why can't you fools understand? I'm trying to save this country." Isaac said.
"Give it a rest will ya?" Kaen groaned. "I destroyed all your glaciers, and I think All Might's equivalent is about to destroy one of your transmutation circles, so the ice won't be able to regrow. An' I am in a real bad mood right now, so why don't we just give this a rest, what do ya say?"
"Not on your life kid." Issac said, his transmutation circle glowing.
"Watch out." Ed cried.
Before Ed or Al could react, Kaen clapped his hands together and planted them on the ground, building a wall of stone that protected them from the spears of blood. When they went around the walls, Issac was gone.
"Damn it he got away." Ed cursed.
"Brother, we've got more important things to take care of right now." Al said.
"You're right." Ed stated, turning to Kaen. "Just who the hell are you, and how do you know Granny and Winry?"
~Issac~
Isaac was panting heavily as he made his way into another alley, and made an attempt to escape. 'I'm not done, not by a long shot. I'll be back, and I'll succeed next time, I'll be stronger, and I'll be sure to send Bradly to the frozen hell he deserves.' As he went deeper into the alley, he stopped when he spotted his target standing right in front of him. "Bradly."
"You've made quite a mess here these last few days." Bradly said. "So I'm gonna give you one last chance, to come in peacefully, or you'll deeply regret it."
"Hehehe-hahahahahahahahahahahaha." Isaac laughed, completely ignoring Bradly's warning. "Perfect." He said, as he used his blood to create a frozen blade if blood ice, before he went running at Bradly.
Time seemed to slow down as Isaac now stood behind Bradly, their backs to each other, before Isaac's shoulders began spew blood like fountains, and he fell to the ground dead. In the pool of blood, a red marble rolled out from Isaac's top left coat pocket and through the blood, turning to dust as soon as it hit his hair.
~Following Day~
"Achoo." Mustang sneezed.
"Ooh, is that a cold I hear? Ah, never mind, from what I'm told you're the man of the hour." Hughes smiled, running in to the room and facing Mustang.
"I just destroyed the transmutation circles. The Fuhrer is the one who brought down McDougal." Mustang exclaimed.
"Sure, but the Fuhrer's telling everyone it was you." Hughes said. "So congratulations." He smiled, before seeing the look on Mustang's face. "Oh, it's like that huh? Suit yourself, but some friendly advice. Next time a superiors tells you to take credit for something you didn't do, you might wanna swallow your pride and try it for once."
"Right." Mustang groaned.
"So, who was that guy that came in and saved the brothers butts in the end there?" Hughes asked.
"I don't know. But from what Armstrong said in his report, we have him to thank for slowing down, and even destroying the glaciers to make it easier for us to get to the Transmutation Circles." Mustang said.
"I heard the Fuhrer wanted to meet with him. Should be starting at any moment now actually." Hughes said, looking at his watch.
"Well whatever the case, something tells me this young man has more to him, then just what lies on the surface." Mustang said.
~Kaen~
"Right… an' you're sure she's doing better now?" Kaen asked, talking on the phone.
"Of course, Winry is changing her bandages now." Pinako said on the other end of the phone.
"Is she awake?" Kaen asked.
"She is. An' she's happy to know you're doing what you can for her."
"I'm glad to hear the surgery was a success." Kaen said. "When will she be able to start her rehabilitation?"
"She'll be able to start as soon as she's fully recovered from the surgery. So in maybe three months, depending on how fast she can heal." Pinako said.
"That's great. Can you let her know that I'm looking for Mina right now?"
"Papa?" Eri's voice came on the phone.
"Eri?"
"Hi Papa. Did you find Mama yet?"
"No, not yet sweetie. Are you behaving for Ms. Rockbell? You're not causing trouble for her and Winry are you?"
"No, I'm on my best behavior Papa." Eri said. "I heard on the radio, that someone destroyed a bunch of ice, saving Central from being frozen over. Was that you?"
"Yeah, it was me Kitten. Get some rest sweetie. I love you, Papa has to go to a very important meeting in a minute." Kaen said.
"Okay Papa, I love you."
"Love you too Eri."
"So, what's the verdict so far?" Pinako asked.
"I've shown Mina's photo to several officers, but some either look at me skeptically while giving me vague answers, or they just flat out ignore the question and walk away." Kaen said. "I'm doing my best, but maybe she's not in Central."
"Don't lose heart young man. If you can perform Alchemy like Edward, without having any basic knowledge of how it works, then I'm sure you can find Mina." Pinako said.
"Thanks. I'll call in later." Kaen said.
"An' remember, not a word about Hohenheim to the boys. He didn't exactly leave them with an easy childhood after he was gone." Pinako said.
"Right, I'll be sure to keep quiet about it." Kaen agreed, before hanging up.
"Family troubles?"
Kaen jumped and turned around, saluting as he was not expecting to have met with Fuhrer Bradly out there in the hall.
"Fuhrer Bradly sir. Sorry, I was just about to make my way to you for our meeting." Kaen said.
"It's fine. I'd prefer if the meeting weren't so formal anyways." Bradly said with a soft chuckle. "I was quite impressed to hear about how you helped young man."
"Thank you sir. I've been raised to help people in anyway I can, my entire life, and I'm trying to do the same for my little girl." Kaen said.
"You didn't answer my earlier question young man."
"Oh uh… sorry sir, I'm a bit on edge. My daughter's getting fitted for Automail, and I'm currently looking for my girlfriend. We got separated in an incident." Kaen said, showing Mina's photo to Bradly.
"Ah, this young woman."
"You know where she is sir?"
"I do indeed. She happened to just suddenly arrive in my yard one evening a couple nights ago. She was unconscious, and had blood coming out from her back, like she'd been stabbed or a chunk of her flesh had been removed with alchemy, without sealing the wound." Bradly said. "She posed no threat so I had her admitted to the hospital."
"Thank you so much Your Grace." Kaen said, bowing to Bradly.
"Where are you currently living? I can have an escort take her there while you set up." Bradly said.
"Set up, sir? I don't follow."
"During the chaos last night, you had proven yourself a strong, and dependable opponent to any foe to dare try and attack Amestris. I want you to remain on the team, and to do that I'd like to appoint you as a soldier in the military." Bradly said.
"Thanks sir, but I've got a few more tricks up my sleeve." Kaen said, clapping his hands together, and touching the photo. "Take this."
Bradly took the photo and he was surprised at what it was now made of.
"Oh my, you've turned this from ordinary paper, to a sheet of metal." Bradly said. "I'm impressed. But it should be impossible for organic to be changed into inorganic."
"The photo was actually made from a paper comprised of recycled plastic, so I just changed the molecular composition from plastic to metal. My alchemy is how I made the barrier I used to shield myself and the Elric brothers, sir."
"Then I will appoint you to the position of State Alchemist." Bradly stated. "I'm sure I could think of a code name for you."
"Uh if it's alright sir, I actually have a code name I'd like to suggest." Kaen said.
"Well let's hear it my boy."
"In ancient times, there was a tribe of warriors, who utilized the power of Alchemy similarly to how Amestris does. But they were able to harness the power of alchemy, in ways never before seen by people outside their nation before it was destroyed." Kaen said, generating a Ki ball in his hand, shocking Bradly and his guards. "With bodies capable of deflecting projectiles, and inhuman strength and speed far surpassing anything any steroid or drug could achieve, they were the living embodiment of what it meant, to be a warrior. These warriors, were a people known as Saiyans."
"I see." Bradly said. "Very well. I Fuhrer King Bradly, hereby grant you the rank and title of a State Alchemist, further more, I hereby grant you the title, of the Saiyan Alchemist."
