Fullmetal Saiyan

~Dreamscape~

"This sucks." Kaen sighed, kneeling in front of a memorial shrine of Pinach, praying to it as the incents burned. "Why'd you have to give your life for my safe passage bro? It's just not fair."

"Cheer up kid." Daigoro Banjo, one of the previous users of the original One-for-All said, putting a hand on Kaen's back. "None of us can really know what he was thinking. But we do know, he forgave you, and let go of the anger he had towards you, enough to where he truly loved you like a brother, and was willing to sacrifice himself for you."

Kaen just looked up from the memorial shrine, and thought about what had been said. Banjo and two others from the original One-for-All, resided in the core of the OFA Kaen possessed, thanks to what had happened in Hosu against Hero Killer Stain. The repeated history between him and Celeron had resulted in a second OFA, to be made with Kaen and Celeron, in the same opposing positions as All-for-One and his younger brother, thus creating the OFA that he possessed.

He had thought that the Quirks merging and creating his OFA had a hand in unlocking the mental prion Pinach had been trapped in for over a decade, and the final key that undid the lock, was what had happened with Monoma at the Sports Festival. Either way, he'd just barely gotten started on making amends with Pinach, and he would forever regret not letting him know how he felt about having him back in his life.

"We have to find the Philosophers Stone." Kaen said. "If we can, then Eri can get her arms and legs back, and I just might be able to get Pinach back."

"It'll be a bit easier then you may think Kaen." Oozaru, the manifestation of the Great Ape power, connected to all Saiyans, stated as he made himself known, with the living dead Ashura right behind him.

"What do you mean?" Kaen asked.

Oozaru snapped his fingers, and Kaen found himself sitting on a pillow, across from Oozaru, at a table big enough to host all those within the mind/Quirkscape, they were all in.

"Let me explain this to you." Oozaru said, as a manifestation of the gem in Kaen's chest, made itself appear on the center of the table.

"That's the Wukong Gem." Kaen said.

"Yes. Within it, houses all of Wukong's powers. His transformations, his legendary strength, his speed, all the immortality he obtained during his days as a lowly thief. Even his Demon Cloud, Nimbus. Built to be the tomb for the immortal Saiyan, this gem was created, from the sacrifices of those who made it. It is comprised from Wukong's very beating heart, every last drop of his blood, a liter of blood from the Grand Minister Angel, a set of active Namekian Wish Orbs, a Watcher's finely powdered eye, enough Ki from Lord Beerus to destroy the universe three times over, ground bones from a dragon, a tuft of hair from an old Supreme Kai, all mixed within a hollowed out angel's crystal ball, which sealed itself and took this shape when the prison was completed."

"What does any of this have to do with the Philosophers Stone?" Kaen asked.

"The gem, is basically an advanced, better version of the Philosopher's Stone." Oozaru stated.

"It's what?" Kaen asked. "So then… I can use it to get Ed and Al back to normal, and to get Eri her limbs back."

"Not so fast Kaen." Oozaru said.

"What's wrong?" Kaen asked.

"You cannot use it like that. This might hold more power then the Philosophers Stone, but it is out of your reach. Your body is not strong enough to handle that power." Oozaru explained.

"Then why tell me this?" Kaen asked. "Why tell me about the true extent of the gem, when I'm unable to wield it."

"Because while your body is unable to contain the unleashed power right now, there is nothing keeping you from becoming strong enough to do just that." Oozaru said. "However, in order to unlock the potential to wield this power, you first need a few things."

"An' what's that?" Kaen asked.

"First, you need an actual Philosophers Stone. The one you're looking for." Oozaru said.

"Well that's gonna be near impossible. What's the second thing?" Kaen inquired.

"The second…" Oozaru began with a smile. "You must become the Legendary Warrior of your people."

~East City: Reality~

"We've got about a full days worth of time to kill before we have to report in with the Colonel." Kaen said. "So let's get something to eat."

"I'm up for some ice cream." Ed stated.

"I'm gonna check out one of the book stores." Al said.

"Meet us at the cafe alright?" Ed called to him.

"Right Brother." Al said.

"So, I'm a little more inclined to believe what you said, and what your abilities are, after that little demonstration in Liore." Ed stated, as a waiter brought them a couple of waters. "I'll have five of your best dessert please."

"I'll just take a cake and a milkshake." Kaen said, looking over the menu. "Strawberry cake with banana flavored icing."

"So, what other tricks do you have up your sleeve?" Ed asked.

"Well, I'm more then proficient in martial arts." Kaen said. "I'm a black belt in multiple forms of hand to hand combat. Karate, Kung Fu, Jujitsu, you name it. But it's all small stuff compared to my dad. He's got a lot more battle experience then me, and he's also a lot stronger then me."

"Oh really? What's he do then?"

"In my world, there's a profession called, a Hero. It's similar to State Alchemists, but you need a special license to use your Quirk. Those who choose to use their Quirks for evil, are known as Villains. Now, don't go telling Mina, or Eri this. But my dad is actually the #1 Hero in the entire world, and his code name is All Might." Kaen explained.

"Seriously?"

"Mmhmm. Mind you, he's human, and I'm a Saiyan." Kaen said. "When the Saiyan's home world, Planet Vegeta was destroyed, my aunt, who became my mom via adoption, managed to escape with me, my sister, and my older brother, when my sister and I were barely a day old. We managed to make it to earth, and were found by All Might and the Japanese government."

"Japanese?"

"A similar people and culture to the land you refer to as Xing. I did some research on this world while I helped Mina settle in at Pinako's." Kaen said. "Anyways, after he and my mom met, they sorta fell in love. It took my father weeks before he asked her out on their first date, or so my mom told me."

"That's crazy. So what does your dad look like?" Ed asked.

"Mmm, I have a couple pictures of him here actually." Kaen said, pulling out his cell phone.

"What's that?" Ed inquired.

"It's a Cell Phone. A communications device that fits in your pocket. Practically everyone back home has one of these, especially these newer flat models." Kaen said, before showing him a photo of Toshinori. "This is my dad, when he's not in hero form."

"Damn he's a tall bastard." Ed stated.

"I only come up to his shoulders." Kaen said. "As for when he's working."

Ed spat out his water in shock, when he saw Toshinori in his muscle form.

"Are we sure he's not somehow related to Major Armstrong?" Ed asked.

"I thought the same thing when I first saw Armstrong." Kaen chuckled.

"That's incredible." Ed smiled as their food was brought out. "So, if you're not from the world full of Quirks, do you even have one?"

"I do." Kaen said. "Though, it's a bit of a secret, and not even Mina knows what the true name of my Quirk is."

"Man, you're keeping a lot of secrets from Mina." Ed stated. "Gotta be for a good reason though."

"The secret about my dad, was mainly so no one would target me or my sister. The secret about my Quirk, is similarly reasoned, but mainly just me. There have been times where Athena's been targeted for her abilities by power hungry villains, but she and I have Provisional Licenses, so we're allowed to use our powers to fight back, so long as we're attacked first." Kaen explained. "My dad had to pull a few strings for that to happen, but it worked out in the end."

"So if your dad, and All Might were supposed to be two separate people, what did you use for a cover story?" Ed inquired.

"The story to my connection with All Might, was my dad was Quirkless, and worked as All Might's secretary." Kaen stated.

"Huh, makes sense in the short of it I guess."

"There were only a few who knew the true secret about his different forms, and the secret behind his Quirk." Kaen said. "Athena and I were honestly just as in the dark as the rest of the world, about his Quirk up until a year and a half ago."

"Must have kept it from you for a reason." Ed stated.

"You have no idea." Kaen said.

"Ed, Kaen." Al said, coming to their table. "I've got something important to tell you."

"What's up Al, find anything interesting?" Kaen asked.

"What'd you find?" Ed inquired.

"Well, I was looking through the shelves of the store, when I overheard someone talking about an alchemist, hear in a manor on the outskirts of Eastern City." Al said. "They said he was able to perform a successful Human Transmutation."

"Did you say Human Transmutation?" Ed questioned, Kaen raising his menu to avoid the spray of ice cream and whipped cream coming towards them, while it hit Al.

"Yeah." Al said, before wiping himself off. "According to the rumors, they actually did it."

"An' who is this they?" Ed asked.

"Hold on, what's so special about Human Transmutation? Don't you just end up making a lifeless Homunculus when you do it?" Kaen asked.

"That's just creating the body." Ed stated. "Al and I actually have some experience with the Human Transmutation we're talking about, the body and the soul."

"I see." Kaen said. "You attempted to bring someone back from the dead. I'm assuming you used a piece of their DNA in the mix?"

"Huh?" Ed and Al asked looking at him.

"I'll take that as a no. Okay, so in order to truly bring back someone from the dead via Human Transmutation, without trying to bring back their soul, you need a piece of their original body containing their DNA within the compound mixture for creating their body, to ensure that their soul is properly set within the body and is secured. Then all you need to do to bring them back to life once their bodies have been completely remade, is perform CPR on the Homunculus you made with Alchemy. A simple way to avoid seeing the Gate of Truth, but not really known unless you do get this information from the Gate."

"How… do you know all this?" Ed asked.

"When I passed through the gate, my brothers soul was the toll for my safe passage, but my tail was the toll for the knowledge I gained, and became an alchemist with." Kaen said.

"You said something about a tail before on the train to Liore as well. How'd your exchange get so much for it?" Al asked.

"I got so much in exchange for my tail, because the tail is a Saiyan's source of true power." Kaen stated. "Our true power, comes from a deity like being known as Oozaru, and our tails are our physical connection to Oozaru, and in turn we turn into a mortal Oozaru during a full moon if we look at it for too long. The power an Oozaru could produce is near limitless, it's nothing like a Philosophers Stone, but it's still something we pride ourselves in having, and only use it if necessary."

"So basically, your tail gave you more information from the Gate of Truth, then either Al or I got from our exchanges." Ed stated.

"Pretty much." Kaen said, finishing his order. "Now, enough with the chitchatting, let's go see this Alchemist. What's his name Al?"

"Oh right, he's an Alchemist, employed by the wealthy Hamburgang family. His name is Judo." Al stated.

"Alright, let's get going."

~Hamburgang Manor~

"Talk about fancy. You said they were wealthy, but…" Kaen stopped, when he suddenly felt his head throbbing, causing him to bend forward in pain.

"Please… end my suffering… Please make the pain go away." A childs voice rang in his head.

"Kaen, are you okay?" Al asked.

"Please, help me."

Kaen calmed down, as his headache went away, and the voice faded, before he corrected himself.

"I'll be fine Al." Kaen huffed. "But I think there's more here, then what the rumors would have us believe."

"If you say so. Just let us know if something like that happens again." Ed stated.

Reaching the gates to the manor, the trio of Alchemists noticed that there wasn't much in the way of a friendly, or welcoming reception.

"Can we help you gentlemen?"

"Maybe you can, my name's Edward Elric, I'm the Fullmetal Alchemist, this is my brother Alphonse, and this is Kaen, the Saiyan Alchemist. We're here to talk with the Alchemist known as Judo." Ed introduced them all.

"Wait right here." One of the guards said, as he pulled a phone off a box on the wall.

"Did you noticed how they gave us the evil eye when he said we were here to see Judo?" Kaen asked.

"I did. Kind creepy." Al stated.

"Alright, come through." One of the guards said, before knocking on the large wooden gates.

The doors to the manor began to open, allowing for the trio to make their way in, before they were closed behind them, with the guards on the other side giving them the evil eye as well.

"Pretty impressive mansion, huh?" Al asked.

"Yeah, looks like they could easily keep twenty or thirty alchemists." Ed stated.

"You mean they've got the room, or do you mean they've got the money?" Al asked.

"Probably both if I were to wager something. But this is definitely one of the bigger ones I've seen. Though Yaoyorozu's is the biggest I've seen." Kaen added.

"So you've got friends with deep pockets, rub it in why don't ya?" Ed tsked.

"Aside from that, you've noticed the glares too right?" Kaen asked.

"I've noticed alright. What the hell, did we already do something wrong here?" Ed asked.

"They're probably just playing it safe." Al said.

"Well it's not very hospitable." Ed stated.

"Uh Al… you've got someone who seems very interested in you." Kaen said, pointing to the ground.

Al looked down to where the Saiyan pointed, and saw a young girl with rusty red hair, wearing fancy looking clothes.

"Can I help you?" Al asked.

"Your whole body's metal, you're a freak." The girl said before she began running around him.

"I'm not a freak." Al stated, feeling down.

"Metal freak, metal freak, metal freak, metal freak." The girl chanted as she danced around Al.

"Who's this brat?" Ed asked.

"Most likely the daughter of the Hamburgang Family." Kaen said, as the child began using Al like a jungle gym.

"You'd be correct about that sir."

Kaen and Ed looked ahead at the manor, and saw three people coming towards them, one a butler, a woman with the same hair as the young girl, and a blind man with scars over his eyes, using a cane while the butler guided him. The scars were something Kaen nor the Elric Brothers, were expecting to see on him, if he'd actually performed a successful Human Transmutation.

"Rosalie." The woman called to the child.

"Big metal freak, you're a big freak." Rosalie said, swinging on Al's arm.

"Edward, Alphonse, and Kaen. The Elrics and Saiyan Alchemist correct?" The blind man asked. "My name is Judo."

"Yeah I'm Edward, this is Kaen, and the makeshift Jungle Gym over there is my brother Alphonse." Ed introduced.

"Nice to meet you." Al said, with Rosalie still swinging from his arm.

"Oh dear." Mrs. Hamburgang said.

"As you can see, I am no longer capable of using my eyes." Judo said. "So it's rather rare that I get to meet other Alchemists, and it's quite the treat, thank you for taking the trouble to come here and visit me. Though it is a bit concerning with two of you being State Alchemists."

"You don't gotta worry about that." Kaen said. "We're not here on official business. It's more personal then anything else."

"Then I am grateful to you for coming." Judo said, holding out his hand for them to take. The moment Ed took his hand, Judo seemed to react to the feel of it.

"Looks like my hand surprised you." Ed chuckled.

"No, I wouldn't exactly say that." Judo said.

"You know we've heard rumors about you Mr. Judo, and we'd like to have a nice long conversation about Alchemy with you." Ed stated.

"Really, rumors?" Judo asked.

"Yeah, I've heard that you've served the Hamburgang's for many years now." Ed stated.

"We also heard you used your enviable alchemic skills to save the family from a terrible tragedy." Kaen added. "Through Human Transmutation, right?"

"Do you believe every rumor you hear?" Judo asked.

"Well you can't blame us for wondering why someone would start a rumor like that, can ya?" Ed asked. "As Kaen said, we're strictly here on personal business. So you don't have to worry about any consequences from the Government about what's happened."

"It would be best if Rosalie weren't present for this discussion." Judo said.

"Very well." Mrs. Hamburgang said. "Rosalie, come along now." She called to the girl.

"But I'm playing." Rosalie stated.

"Come now Mistress Rosalie, our guests don't have time for games." The butler said.

Before he could go chasing after her, Kaen stepped up and picked the girl up in his under arm, shocking the child.

"You ready Rosalie?"

"Ready for what?" She asked.

"Hold your arms out and you'll see." Kaen smiled.

The moment Rosalie held her arms out, Kaen began to spin around fast, running in a circle, and making Rosalie smile and laugh.

"Wee, this is fun." Rosalie cheered.

"The planes coming in for a landing." Kaen said, stopping in front of Judo, the butler, and Mrs. Hamburgang, before setting Rosalie down on her feet.

"That was fun, again, again." Rosalie said, jumping for joy.

"Sorry, but we've got important work to do." Kaen said. "Al might be able to keep you company though."

"What? Why me? You're the one who's experienced with little girls and how to play with them." Al said.

"Watch your wording Al." Ed stated with a scolding tone.

"She seems to really have enjoyed that." Mrs. Hamburgang said. "You do seem rather experienced with children."

"I have a little girl of my own." Kaen said. "She's actually around Rosalie's age."

"My, how lovely."

"I wanna keep playing." Rosalie said, running up and jumping at Kaen.

"Like I said, Ed and I have work to do. But I don't think Al would be needed for this, so why don't you go and spend some time with him?" Kaen suggested.

"I guess it wouldn't be so bad." Al said, before Rosalie pulled on his hair ribbon, and began dragging him.

"I'll show you around the mansion Mr. Metal." Rosalie said, with the butler chasing after them.

"I'll go with you, just stop pulling on me." Al cried out, as he ran after her.

"There they go." Kaen said.

"Why don't we have this conversation in the Arbor?" Mrs. Hamburgang suggested.

As they began to head to the Arbor, Kaen stopped as he felt the throbbing pain in his head return, and he fell to a knee, clutching his head.

"Kaen, what's wrong?" Ed asked.

"Please… help me. I'm in so much pain. Please make it stop." The childs voice returned. "They call me… Rosalie, but my name is Anne. Please, make the pain go away."

"Stop, what do you want from me?" Kaen questioned.

"Kaen?" Ed asked.

"I can't… I can't end your suffering if I don't know where, you are." Kaen groaned.

"What is happening?" Judo asked, while Mrs. Hamburgang had a look on her face, that showed she had some semblance of what was going on.

"Please… make the pain go away."

"I can't… Where are you?" Kaen asked.

"Please make it all stop."

Kaen just clutched his head in pain, before his eyes rolled back into his head, and he passed out.

"KAEN." Ed cried out.

~Mindscape~

"What the hell is going on?" Kaen questioned, sitting in the middle of his mindscape, surrounded by those within it.

"A mental link." Oozaru said. "It's caused from the power infused within your body, after passing through the Gate of Truth, from your world to this one. You can hear the thoughts, of anyone used in experiments involving Human Transmutation."

"Damn it. My head is killing me." Kaen groaned.

"Young Master." Asura said.

Kaen looked up, sensing another presence within his mind, and his eyes widened when he saw a mummified Rosalie, with empty eye sockets, and a fragile body, wearing a banana yellow nightie, and a hair tie.

"Please. Help me." The mummified Rosalie said, her mouth moving. "I'm in so much pain, please make it stop."

"I can't… Where are you?" Kaen asked.

~Sometime Later~

Kaen opened his eyes, the throbbing pain in his head had vanished, and he found himself in a bed with a wet cloth over his forehead.

"Where am I?"

"Oh good, you're awake."

Kaen looked to his side, to see a young woman in a maids uniform, carrying a bowl of cold water with some more cloths.

"You'd passed out, so Mistress Hamburgang had requested we take care of you until you awoke." The maid said. "How are you feeling?"

"I'm feeling good." Kaen said, sitting up in bed. "I need you to do something for me."

"What are you needing sir?" The maid asked.

"I need you to take me to Rosalie."

"Well she might be somewhere in the manor with Sir Alphonse so…"

"No." Kaen said, stopping the maid. "I need you to take me, to the failed Human Transmutation that was Rosalie."

The maids eyes just looked at Kaen, as they widened in shock and fear as she dropped the water bowl and towels.

"Hold on a second… I must contact Lady Hamburgang about this." The maid said.

Kaen just watched as the maid ran off, before he got up to clean the mess made.

When he used the towels to soak up all the water, Lady Hamburgang appeared with the maid from before, looking very concerned.

"How do you know about the failed Human Transmutation?" Mrs. Hamburgang questioned.

"Because the soul of the little girl who's inside that thing, has been pleading for someone, anyone to end her pain." Kaen said. "The headaches I've been getting since coming here, were her making contact with me, begging for her suffering to end. An' just a moment ago, I saw her. The failed attempt at bringing her back, showed herself to me, and begged me for help."

Mrs. Hamburgang just looked at Kaen as he sat on the bed, and looked right at her.

"Who is that girl pretending to be Rosalie?" Kaen asked.

Mrs. Hamburgang was silent for a moment, before giving in.

"She's a young girl, my Late Husband and I adopted from an orphanage. She was the spitting image of our daughter, and we let her in on the secret, so she'd better understand how to play her part." Mrs. Hamburgang said.

"Why lie to Judo about the Human Transmutation being a success when it was obviously a failure?" Kaen asked.

"Judo's been like family to us, since the day he arrived. An' when Rosalie died, it hit him just as hard as it did us. So he promised to bring her back, but if he knew the truth, then he'd surely take his own life." Mrs. Hamburgang said sadly. "That's why my Late Husband decided to lie to him, and keep the truth to ourselves."

"I can understand why you'd want to keep him from learning the truth. But the soul in that thing is suffering, and it's not even your daughters." Kaen said. "I know I said this was personal business, but I doubt you'd end its suffering without this."

"What are you saying?" Mrs. Hamburgang asked.

"I'm giving you an ultimatum. Either you end the suffering you're putting that failed transmutation through, or I will notify Eastern Command of this, and your family will be arrested, with Judo learning the truth for himself." Kaen stated. "I'd rather not go for the latter option, but I don't want that thing to suffer anymore. You're hurting an innocent soul."

"I… I can't." Mrs. Hamburgang said as she began to cry. "As much as I want to end its suffering, I cannot bring myself to do so. I've tried in the past, but I cannot bring myself to end the life that Judo made with his alchemy."

Kaen was silent, looking at Mrs. Hamburgang, as she fell to her knees and sobbed, before he sighed and got to his feet.

"Fine then." He said. "If you can't, then I will."

Mrs. Hamburgang gasped, as she looked up at Kaen, looking him in the eye and seeing he was serious, before he turned his gaze towards the maid.

"I ask you, a third time. Take me to Rosalie."

"Right away sir."

The maid lead Kaen through the halls, Ms. Hamburgang following close behind as they reached the second floor of the East Wing. Turning down the hall, Kaen saw Ed and Al up ahead at the open doors to the room, where he saw the fake Rosalie, brushing the hair of the transmutated Rosalie.

"So, you two know as well huh?" Kaen asked.

"Rosalie, or rather Amy, brought me here after she accidentally pulled my helmet off, and saw that I was hollow inside." Al said.

"An' I just followed them when I saw Al being dragged down here by her." Ed stated. "What's going on?"

"Amy, is a stand in, for the failed Human Transmutation of Rosalie." Kaen said. "The soul within that thing has been trying to contact me, begging me to end its suffering, that's where my sudden migraines were coming from. The Hamburgang family kept this a secret from Judo, and will continue to, but I've given Mrs. Hamburgang the choice of either putting down the failed transmutation, or getting the government involved. She chose the former, but doesn't have the will to do it, so I'll be ending her suffering in Mrs. Hamburgang' stead."

"You mean, you're gonna kill Rosalie?" Al asked.

"It's a mercy Al." Kaen stated, walking past them and into the room. "She's in constant pain, and is begging for me to end it. I don't have a choice."

Stepping forward, Amy looked up as Kaen stepped to her and Rosalie, before he smiled down at her.

"Listen Amy, I need you to leave now. There's something I have to do, Rosalie is in a lot of pain, and I'm gonna end her suffering." Kaen said, crouching down to look at her.

"But, what will happen to me? Will I be sent back to the orphanage?" Amy asked.

"No, nothing like that. You'll still be needed as Rosalie's stand in to fool Judo. But this Rosalie can't exist anymore. She's in too much pain." Kaen said, standing up and leading her towards the doors, where the others were waiting. "I'm sad to say, you won't get to see or play with her ever again."

"But if she's in pain, then…"

"Everything will be fine." Kaen said, grabbing the doors as he began to close them. "I promise you, it'll be okay."

Closing the doors, Kaen ignored Ed and Al's pleas for him to reconsider, while hearing the sobbing from Mrs. Hamburgang continue on. Pressing his head against the door, Kaen grit his teeth, and clenched his fists, unprepared for what was to come next, but knew it was needed.

"Why damn it. Why did this all have to happen?" Kaen hissed, tears forming in his own eyes. "Why did it have to be a little girl?"

"Please…" Anne's voice rang in his head. "End my pain. I want to die."

Kaen turned to look back at the transmuted Rosalie, and steeled his resolve.

"I've heard your cries, and I've felt your prayers." Kaen said, slowly walking to the child, as he put a leather armlet with a metal tag, on his right upper arm. "I don't know what faith you believe in, so I hope you don't mind if I say a little prayer to help lay your soul to rest."

Stopping five feet away from her, Kaen raised his arm, and aimed it at Rosalie with a Ki attack forming in his palm.

"Oh father, who are in the stars, I ask for thine grace to take up this lost lamb, and return her to your flock. May your guiding light, embrace her in your warmth, and return her to your loving home. In the name of the Son, and the Father, I pray." Kaen chanted, as the Ki attack took on a shade of lavender violet. "Hakai!"

Setting off the energy attack, it traveled to Rosalie, and upon impact, she began disintegrating into particles of dust. Turning around as he removed the armlet, Kaen stuck his hands in his pockets, and made his way to the door.

"Thank you."

Kaen stopped, hearing Anne's voice no longer filled with pain, but rather filled with gratitude and happiness. He turned around to see the silhouette of a young girl with silver white hair, red eyes, and brown skin, just before she vanished with a smile on her face.

The moment she vanished, Kaen felt a tear fall down his cheek, before he turned back and made his way to the door, the metal tag on the armlet in his hand, reflecting the sunlight, reading the words, Hakai, engraved into it.

"Rest in peace, Anne." Kaen said, a sad smile on his face as somehow his chest was feeling lighter. "Rest in peace."

~A/N~

I get that this adventure took place before Ed became an official State Alchemist, but it was too good of an opportunity to pass up and not use it in the story.

An' for clarification, when Kaen said Father and Son in his prayer for Rosalie, he was referring to Whis and his father, the Grand Minister of Angels, and praying he help her find peace. An' unlike an actual Destroyer God's Hakai, Kaen's only destroys the body, not the soul.
