"Bro, what are you doing?" asked Quint while grabbing Jack by the arm in order to stop him from walking any further toward the creature that stood before them.
"I don't… know," said Jack, his confusion becoming more apparent after being snapped back to his sense somewhat.
"You're finally coming to your senses and realizing there is no reason to fight, that you just have to give in to the fact that you will neve defeat me," said Rezzoch.
"No, Rezzoch is using magic to brainwash him," said Shaelka.
"It's not true, Jack, I just wish to help you," said Rezzoch.
"Is that not what you have always wished for, someone who will be there for you even in your worst moments?" he asked, Jack looking deeply into the zombie's eyes as the voice rang out through the air.
"Yes, it is," said Jack before shrugging away from his friend's grip and heading toward the creature.
"Jack, no!" said June, but it was no use. Jack had reached the zombie from which a blue light left and entered Jack's body.
"This can't be happening," said Quint as he watched horns appear from his friend's head, spikes from Jack's spine and elbows, and a pair of wings ripped their way out of his back.
"Finally, a living body," said Rezzoch while turning to reveal glowing blue eyes and a wicked grin.
"Get out of him," said June, her grip tightening on her spear.
"I'm afraid that your friend is gone for good now," said Rezzoch.
"Just like the rest of you will be once I'm finished with you!" he said while rushing toward them, but was sent flying backwards by Bardle who blasted him with a spell.
"What the heck?!" asked Dirk while everyone looked at him.
"It's just as he said, your friend is gone, and we must do whatever it takes to stop Rezzoch from destroying your world," said Bardle.
"He's right, Jack is gone and we have a job to do," said June while readying herself for a tough battle.
