Making my way out to Central Hall, I passed in front of the library as I saw Penelope walk up next to me smiling. "What are you so giddy about?" I asked her raising an eyebrow,

"I finished reading the news paper and red a comment from Officer Singer, stating that you and your sweet boyfriend defeated a fully grown troll by yourselves." she gleamed at me.

"Don't you think I would've mentioned me and Sebastian dating? I told him I'm not looking for a relationship right now," I explained, she shrugged.

"I still think the two of you would be perfect together," she grinned as I rolled my eyes,

"Can we not talk about this right now?" I asked her looking around to see who was nearby,

"Fine, you're headed to Herbology right now aren't you?" Penelope asked, I nodded as she latched arms with me before walking that way together.

Walking inside the classroom I looked around before making brief eye contact with said boy before he turned away from me, standing at the potting station next to him. Professor Garlick started her lecture as I listened carefully, focusing on my classwork and not looking at the boy next to me for the whole class. I was thankful when she dismissed class, taking the first opportunity to gain distance between the two of us, so I could think clearly.

Taking in a deep breath, I walked by myself to the Great Hall crossing the Viaduct bridge I heard someone call out my name, I stopped turning to see Sebastian trying to catch up. I turned back around groaning, "I just can't catch a break," I muttered as he walked up and turned to face me.

"Are you trying to avoid me?" he asked, I laughed looking to him,

"Of course not." I furrowed my eyebrows, 'I didn't mean to be that obvious?'

"Mind if I walk with you to the Great Hall?" he smiled, I felt my knees weaken, 'Snap out of it, idiot!' I thought mentally smacking myself.

"Um, not at all." I smiled, we walked together through the Viaduct courtyard,

"I was surprised Sharp didn't give Weasley detention," he laughed as I turned to him,

"Honestly, I am too, it was a weekly occurrence last school year and I usually got dragged into all of his messes." I said rolling my eyes.

"Are the two of you friends?" he asked, I could hear the slight jealous tone in his voice,

"Yeah, I'd say we're friends," I smiled,

"Do you like him as more than a friend?" he asked which caught me off guard.

"No, not at all. Sebastian, I'm not in a position to date right now." I explained, "If I said no to one, I'm not going to say yes to another, I'm not that kind of girl."

"I have to go, I'll talk to you later, Katherine." he said as he kept walking through the Reception Hall, I was about to follow after him when my owl brought me a letter.

I read the letter from Professor Fig and made my way to his classroom, walking into his office to find him studying something on his desk. "You wanted to see me, Professor?" I knocked on his door as he looked up at me,

"Yes, or rather glad to see you. Thank Merlin you're in one piece, I heard about the attack. Trolls - in Hogsmeade?" he looked to me surprised.

"Those trolls were wearing armour, it had that dark glow, like the dragon collar." I explained looking to him concerned,

"Goblin silver. Ranrok used it to control the dragon, but how? And why send trolls to-"

"They were there because of me, I overheard Ranrok talking with Victor Rookwood." I interrupted him.

"Ranrok was in Hogsmeade? With Rookwood?" Fig said looking to me surprised, I explained what happened in the Three Broomsticks after the troll attack.

"This is grave news, indeed. If Ranrok's goblins, and Dark wizards are after you, they want what we found in that vault." Fig looked at me worried,

"They're after the locket, you said you discovered something in it?" I said looking to him.

"I discovered an inscription on the locket we found at Gringotts, when I read it aloud this map appeared, clever enchantment I must say." he said looking over the map on his desk.

I looked over it, "It's a map of Hogwarts, that much I'm sure, but I'm not sure where it leads." he said as i noticed a circle of ancient magic on the map,

"It looks to be the Library, the Restricted Section to be precise." I pointed to it, "It look like it may go beyond that."

"We should be off after your classes are finished, come see me once you are done for the day." he said as i nodded heading to the Great Hall.

After getting something to eat I headed to my last two classes for the day, I noticed that Sebastian had been avoiding me or wouldn't even look at me. I thought this would make me happy, but instead I hated it, focusing on the lecture was impossible as my brain was flooded with the thought that he hated me.

I groaned in frustration walking to Fig's office, walking into the room he looked to me, "Ah, there you are."

"Professor, I'm finished with classes for the day." I informed him.

"Shall we be off?" he asked as i nodded, turning back to the door as the Headmaster walked into the room,

"Fig, I have work for you. Come." he demanded,

"Headmaster, I'm with a student and my schedule is-"

"Your schedule will wait indefinitely, as will your student." He said giving a sigh, "I would think after all the trouble you caused me with Osric you would be eager to make amends. My office, five minutes."

Black walked out of the room closing the door as Fig turned back to me shaking his head, "That man is exasperating, unfortunately, our trip to the Restricted Section will have to wait a bit longer."

"But, Professor-"

"We have no choice, it would be unwise to provoke our illustrious headmaster further. I shall find you when I've completed whatever 'toils' I must endure." Fig walks with me out of the classroom and heads to Black's office.

I took a deep breath watching him walk away, 'I know someone, don't I- no, not him.' I covered my face with my hand before groaning. I walked down the stairs towards Professor Hecat's classroom, I saw him from the balcony area, making my way down to him while thinking about what I was going to say.

"Sebastian, I was looking for you." I said walking up to him,

"Well, you've found me," he stated crossing his arms, I frowned, "What do you want Katherine?"

"I was wondering if you'd help me with something," I spoke looking at the ground before looking to his eyes.

"You promised me an explanation for what happened in the Three Broomsticks." he raised an eyebrow, "What does Victor Rookwood want with you?"

I took a deep breath deciding to tell him the truth, "He seems to be working with Ranrok, who is after something I found at Gringotts," I explained,

"Ranrok? And when were you at Gringotts?" he looked to me surprised.

"Professor Fig and I ended up there after the dragon attack. It's quite the tale really - Fig had this Portkey-"

"A Portkey? To Gringotts? I'm not sure I follow." he looked to me confused.

"Believe me, I barely follow myself - and I was there." I said looking to the ground before looking back to his eyes, "Anyway, we ended up in an ancient vault where we found a map, that leads to the Restricted Section."

"You can't be serious."

"Deadly serious. Professor Fig insisted I not tell a soul about any of this, I've probably said too much already." I said placing my hand over my lips.

He uncrossed his arms and sighed, "I understand, your secret is safe with me, promise." he said looking to my eyes, "I'm guessing you'll need my help sneaking into the Restricted Section?"

"Would you be able to help me? Please." I smiled pleading with him,

"I'll help, meet me at the stairwell leading to the Viaduct Entrance from the common room tonight right after curfew." he informed me as I nodded.

"Thank you, thank you so much, Sebastian!" I smiled at him, "I have a few things to do, but I'll see you later."

Making my way to the meeting point, I noticed him leaning against the wall waiting for me, his eyes closed as he breathed quietly as I told myself to stop staring. He opened his eyes noticing me looking at him with a smug smirk, I rolled my eyes as he walked over to me.

"Ready when you are," I whispered about to start walking towards the library, his hand grabbing my wrist stopping me,

"Hold on, we'll need to be more than sneaky to get past those annoying prefects," he stated as I looked to him confused. "You do know the Disillusionment charm, right?"

"Merlin, I hope so, I was just going to walk right out in front of them and hope for the best." I stated sarcastically, he held back his laughter giving me an annoyed look.

"Alright smart ass, duly noted. What am I here for exactly?" he nodded raising an eyebrow at me,

"To get me into the Restricted Section, I've snuck into the library after curfew before." I said looking to him as he grinned at me slyly.

"Well, aren't we the troublemaker? Didn't know you were that kind of girl." he said as I felt my face get hot in a matter of seconds,

"What do you mean by that kind of girl?" I looked to him confused, "I would sneak in to read and hide from my siblings."

"Relax. I was only teasing, we should get going, we're going to need to be quick about this." he smiled turning away from me, I followed him down the stairs as we made our way into the library.

Walking in we saw Scribner sorting through books, feeling Sebastian grabbing my wrist and pulling me behind the bookcases, "Damnit, thought she'd be gone by now?" he cursed,

"Guess she's staying late, I did hear about someone throwing books off the shelves with an experimental spell, my guess is Cressida." I shrugged looking to where he was still holding my wrist.

Meeting his eyes realizing how close we were, I could feel my heart pounding out my chest, I hoped he couldn't hear it, he let go of my wrist turning away.

"You'll need to get the key to the Restricted Section, I'll cause a distraction so you can. It'll be in the middle drawer of her desk." he cleared his throat informing me as I nodded, we moved in position.

After getting inside past the ghosts we dropped our concealment, "So, what exactly are you looking for in here?" he asked looking at different books,

"I'm not entirely sure, but I should know it when I find it." I said skimming the shelves of books. "On another note, care to elaborate on what you meant earlier?"

"I didn't mean anything bad, honestly, I just didn't think you were the type to sneak anywhere, after second-year you changed so much." he explained as I turned to see him frowning.

"Don't look at me as if you felt bad for me, I'm sure you relished in my humiliation just like everyone else," I glared at the ground.

"Oliver is a dumbass, he didn't deserve you." I looked to him shocked, "I was rather glad he rejected you,"

"Why?" I crossed my arms glaring at him, he grinned looking in my eyes,

"I don't think you would've been very happy with him," he said walking closer to me as I felt my body hit the wall behind me.

"What makes you think that?" I said dropping my arms, my eyes flickering between his eyes and lips feeling the heat in my face.

He was about to say something when we heard a loud crashing noise he stood up backing away from me, I followed him around the corner to find a suit of armor laying on the ground.

Just then Peeves appeared above it, "What have we here Sebastian Sallow and Katherine Belouise, out exploring where they shouldn't be! Naughty, naughty, you'll get caughty!" Peeves sang as he floated away.

"Damned Poltergeist, I'll deal with him," he glared in Peeves direction before chasing after him, I watched him running away letting out a deep sigh.

I managed to make my way back to the library after getting what I came for, hearing Scribner talking with Sebastian, "Last chance Mr. Sallow, where is Ms. Belouise?"

"Like I told you, she wasn't with me. Peeves is lying," he looked to her crossing his arms,

"Oh Sebastian, I'll have to talk with Professor Weasley about this and do a head count of the dorms." she sighed, I closed my eyes gritting my teeth before giving myself away.

"I'm right here, Madam Scribner." I said looking to the ground,

"Thank you, Ms. Belouise." she said as I looked from her to Sebastian, "Unfortunately, I'll be seeing the two of you for detention tomorrow after classes. Now off to bed!"

We nodded before heading back to the common room quietly, I turned to him once we were inside the main area, "Thanks for trying to cover for me," I smiled at him,

"Usually I can talk my way out of it, it was harder since Peeves knew who you were." he sighed looking at me smiling.

"I'll see you in the morning then," I said as he nodded, smiling as we parted ways for the night, walking into my dorm thinking over everything that happened while changing for bed.
