The next few days went by fast, and the day of Ritsu and Usa's date had finally arrived with the two of them at the bookstore.
"Wow, this book brings back memories," said Usa as he looked at a children's book that had been put in the wrong section.
"Sure does," said Ritsu before turning her attention to the shelves.
"Whoa, the new Jake Marks book," said Ritsu as she looked at a book that was marked down from 500 yen to 100 yen sitting on a nearby table.
"Is that a book you've been looking for?" asked Usa as he put his back.
"Yeah, I've read all but this and another of his books, this one was way too much when it first came out a couple of months ago to buy at the time," said Ritsu while picking the book up.
"Why haven't you read the other book?" asked Usa.
"It was his first book to ever be published, there were only fifty copies that got printed, and if you find one it will cost hundreds of thousands if not millions of yen now," said Ritsu.
"It's that rare of a book," she said.
"What was it called?" asked Usa.
"Its title is 'A boy in the field,' it was a love story between these kids, only the boy was not allowed in the house, so they talked while he stood in a field and she sat at the window," said Ritsu.
"Sounds interesting," said Usa as he thought about it. Later that day, Usa was looking up the book on his computer.
"What are you doing, Usa?" asked Shirosaki as he stood at the window.
"I'm looking for a book that Ritsu wants, but it's pretty expensive though so I won't be able to buy it for her," said Usa as he showed the screen to Shirosaki.
"Oh, I knew Jake Marks years ago," said Shirosaki.
"You did?" asked a surprised Usa.
"Yeah, if you want I'll call him and see if he might be able to send a copy of the book, I'm sure he has a couple of them just laying around," said Shirosaki.
"He was the kind of guy to do so just in case they may be needed later on," he said.
"That would be great," said Usa.
