At the King's castle, everyone gathers to meet the prince as the herald announced each young maiden of France. The prince was standing in front of throne as he was bowing to them. With him was Alex, dressed up nicely in blue and gold. He listens to the herald calling every maiden to be presented and watched the prince bows to them.
"The Princess Fredrica Eugenie de Ia Fontaine." the herald announced.
A maiden walked towards the prince and bowed gracefully to him. The prince returned the bow and watched her walked away.
"M'amselle Augustina Dubois, the daughter of General Pierre Dubois." the herald announced again.
Alex watched as another young maiden approached to the prince and bows to him as the prince bows back to her. He slowly walked towards him and notice that the prince was getting tired.
"Feeling bored, your highness?" he softly questioned to him.
"As always." he answered.
"I'm pretty sure your father is getting impatient on you finding the right maiden."
"None of them is the one for me."
"M'amselle Leanora Mercedes de la Torre, daughter of Colonel and Madam de la Torre." the herald spoke again.
The boys looked to see another maiden coming by. She gave a curtsied to the prince and he bows back to her in respect, but also trying to get too bored as he let out a small yawn.
"This is going to take forever." said Alex.
At the entrance of the castle, Cinderella and Madison arrived and were awed by how big and grand the castle is on the inside.
"This is it, Maddie." Cinderella spoke to her.
"You ready?" she questioned.
Cinderella nodded her head and the two walked slowly down the hall while the guards looked at them so strangely but curious as they watched them go up the stairs.
At the ballroom, Alex continued to watch until she spotted Anastasia and Drizella. They were fixing themselves and of course fight a little until the herald announced.
"The Mademoiselles Drizella and Anastasia Tremaine, daughters of Lady Tremaine."
Alex watched as the girls quickly walked towards to the prince. It wasn't a graceful walk, and their curtesy wasn't really proper.
'Are those girls for real?' Alex thought and he could even tell that the prince was happy at all as he rolled his eyes.
The young man let out a sigh and looked at the ballroom, seeing everyone talking and looking at the prince. But he notices something. In the crowd, a familiar woman with silvery white was smiling at him. It was the Fairy Godmother only her attire was dressed differently. Alex looked at her for a moment and looked back at the prince.
"Would you excuse me, your highness?" he spoke to him as he bowed to the prince and walked away to the crowd.
He did ask politely to the people to move a little as he was going through until he finally reached to the woman.
"Madam... what are you doing here?" he asked, and the Fairy Godmother smiled.
"I came here to tell you that your wish is now fulfilled." she answered and pointed to the direction. "She's actually in gold."
Alex looked at the direction to see the entrance of the ballroom and from the moment... his eyes grew wide, and his heart was pounding. To what he saw... there she was. Madison. Alex couldn't believe that she was here in castle, looking beautiful in her lovely gold gown. To him, it felt so long since they last seen each other and now it was the moment to be reunited.
"It's her. It's really her." he said. "How did you...?"
As he was about to ask the Fairy Godmother, she was gone, like she disappeared. He now questions where'd she had gone too but he doesn't care as he looked back to see Madison from the distance. As he starts walking through the crowd, he notices the prince walking past the stepsisters and headed straight to another girl that was with Madison.
Madison notices the prince coming and slowly walked away from Cinderella. She watched as the prince finally approach to Cinderella as he got her attention. He gave her a bow and Cinderella curtsied with smile. Madison smiled as the prince escorted Cinderella to the dance floor. She looked up to see the king and the Grand Duke at the balcony, but also smiled as the king commanded for the waltz and soft lights.
Once the music started, Madison couldn't stare at the moment to watch them two dances until she heard a voice.
"Care to dance, my princess?"
Madison's eyes grew wide as the voice sounded so familiar to her. She slowly turned and to her shock... was a familiar young man that she remembered.
"Alex...?" Madison softly spoke.
Alex smiled to her as he couldn't find the words to say. But then, Madison got closer to him as she was still shocked. She gently placed her hand on her cheek and looked at his eyes and for the moment as she looked at them, she smiled.
"It's you. It's really you." Madison couldn't stop smiling as she felt like tears were about to come out. She even felt Alex's hand touching hers and could feel her warmth. "How is this possible? How are you here?"
"Would it better if I explain things to you while we dance?" Alex asked.
He brought his hand out as a gesture for her to dance like how a gentleman does. Madison smiled as she gently took his hand.
"Of course." she reply, and Alex held her close to him.
The two slowly started to dance near the entrance of the ballroom but close to the stairway. They don't want to be the center of the attention in the ballroom like Cinderella and the prince, but they do enjoy being along to dance just like before.
"You look wonderful, Maddie." Alex softly spoke to her.
"And you as well. You do look different as a human. How did you become like that?"
"Back at the Fairy Kingdom," Alex spoke as he starts explaining, "I couldn't stop thinking about you. Every time I looked at the flowers that you once wore, still reminds me of you. Then I asked the king. Asking him if I could go out there to find you. And he did because he knows how much I couldn't take my mind off of you. Once I start my journey, I made a wish and a woman appear."
"What woman? What did she look like?" Madison asked.
"Looks like an elder woman. Not too old but she has silvery white hair and the one thing I remember; she wore a periwinkle dress."
Madison looked surprise as she heard the description.
"You know the woman?" Alex questioned as he could tell the look on Madison's face.
"Yes... but it is a story for that. Only short." she answered.
"How short?"
"Well, that woman is Cinderella's Fairy Godmother?"
"Who's Cinderella?"
Madison turned her head to the direction where Cinderella was still dancing with the prince.
"That's Cinderella." she showed him, "Her only wish was to go to the ball. The reason why is because her stepfamily made her stay at home and do housework."
"Housework? But aren't there any servants living at her home."
"To my guess, the stepmother fired them all and made Cinderella as a maid."
"That's not right."
"I know. And that's when the Fairy Godmother appeared to grant her wish. But the magic of her wish wears off at midnight."
"And what about you? Did you wish to come here?" Alex asked.
"At first, I didn't. But when Fairy Godmother somehow changed my dress and told me that someone will be here. And that was you. Here you are."
Alex didn't say a word. He just smiled as they kept on dancing. He kept Madison close to her, not letting her go and could see her smile warmly to her. There was a silence between them as the music of the waltz kept on playing, but suddenly they felt a humming as their hearts was filled with wonder.
So, this is love
So, this is love
So, this is what makes life divine
I'm all aglow
And now I know
The key to our heaven is mine
My heart has wings
And I can fly
I'll touch every star In the sky
So, this is the miracle
That I've been dreaming of
So, this is love
With every moment the two shared, they kept on dancing until they stopped. Alex starts caressing her cheek and looked deep into her different shades of eyes. For such a while he has missed those eyes and could see how much she have missed him. Madison saw that he was leaning close to her, as she had a feeling that he was going to kiss her. She closed her eyes and wait for the moment until she heard the sound of the gong.
"Oh no." she spoke softly.
"What's wrong? Too soon?" Alex asked as he looked concern.
"No, it's not that. It's midnight. My friend and I have to go." she answered as she was about to walk away.
"Wait a minute." Alex stopped her for a moment and looked at her. "Will I see you again?"
"You can." she answered and then thought of an idea. "The village. Meet me there by the fountain at daylight. Or I'll might meet you there."
Alex looked at her with one final moment and then nod his head. Madison smiled to him and to his surprise, she quickly gave a kiss on the lips and ran off to the stairs. Alex touched his lips and as he watched her go but then smiled to know that he will see her again tomorrow until he notices Cinderella running past him.
"Maddie!" Cinderella's voice hollered.
Madison turned to see her friend coming down to stairs. Cinderella held up her skirt and rushed down until suddenly, her slipper came off. She was about to retrieve it but the Grand Duke was getting closer and ran off leaving the slipper on the stairs and caught up with Madison.
"Mademoiselle! Senorita! Just a moment! Stop! Stop!" the Grand Duke hollered for Cinderella.
The girls finally exit the castle as they ran down more of the stairs but finally made it to the coach as they went in. Once the coach starts moving, Madison could hear the Grand Duke shouting and hollering for the gates to be closed and could still hear the clock gonging. She looked through the window and saw that the gates were about to close, but for luck, the coach made it through as the gates were completely shut.
They were safe for now, but Madison knew that a few guards in black will be coming after. Madison and Cinderella kept on riding the coach but as they heard the gong sounds from the clock, they notice something. Around them the magic from Fairy Godmother's was fading. The white coach was turning orange like the pumpkin and the gowns the girls were wearing were now changing to normal. But at the last stroke of gong, everything went white until it faded. The girls were now sitting on the pumpkin with Madison's casual dress and Cinderella's torn gown. The horses were back as mice, Major was a horse again, and Bruno was back as a dog.
Suddenly, they heard the sound of hooves. They turned around and to their shock, they guards are getting closer. They quickly ran into the bushes to hide as the guards, riding their horses, ran over the pumpkin, which was ruined into smithereens.
"That was close." Madison spoke as she sighed with relief and looking at the ruined pumpkin.
"I'm sorry." Cinderella spoke softly as she looked her friends and smiled, "I guess I forgot about everything, even the time, but... but it was so wonderful. And he was so handsome, and when we danced. Oh, I'm sure that even the prince himself... couldn't have been more... more... Oh, well. It's over and..."
"Cinderelly! Look, look!" The mice shout with excitement as they were pointing at something. "A slipper, a slipper!" "Yeah, a slipper." "Your slipper, Cinderelly." "Yeah, your slipper."
Madison looked down to see the only one glass slipper on Cinderella's foot. The young girl took the slipper off and looked at it. She smiled and looked at the night sky as she was remembering her Fairy Godmother.
"Oh! Thank you. Thank you so much, for everything."
Madison smiled at the moment to her. In fact, she did lost track of time. She has been dancing and talking to Alex and for quite some time, she finally reunited to him. She did miss him already, but she will see her at the village in the morning.
