"Probably because we fought and I made a dent in his head." Naomi huffed.

Taking a look at her phone battery, Naomi noticed it needed a good charging.

"It was nice talking to you again Mr. Schaeffer but my battery's getting low and I need to go charge it." Naomi stated.

"Hopefully the next time we talk you won't be working where you are." Franz supposed.

"Tell Aelita I said hi." Naomi smiled.

"Will do, you take care now." Franz confirmed.

"Thank you, you too." Naomi finished as she clicked end call.

"Now, what makes you think your mother and I don't love each other?" Dr. Kamizono questioned.

"Well, I just thought that it was one of those forced marriages for social, economical, political or governmental benefit." Naomi doubted.

"A marriage of convenience means it's beneficial at the time by another means besides companionship for one or both parties involved. Sometimes, even a third party can benefit from the marriage." Dr. Kamizono explained.

"Oh, so that explains it. But what it doesn't explain is which party benefitted." Naomi commented.

"Personally I'd say that I benefitted the most. Although, truth be told, it was the Sumeragi. Not only did they gain a new test subject some time afterwards, but they also obtained a stronger possibility of giving the company a better and more secure foundation. The top brass was hoping that we'd decide to get involved. They said I would be excellent in a managerial position for the research department. And I was even offered equity in the company. But, I refused, so they decided to send me to a different floor in the hopes that I would eventually change my mind. That's how I wound up working in all of those different jobs. Eventually, they realized the idea was pointless and gave me my original position back." Dr. Kamizono elaborated.

Naomi began to feel sleepy.

"Sorry, you're not droning on, I'm just tired since my body's still trying to heal." Naomi apologized.

"Sometimes I wonder how they didn't find out I was around but not working for them for that brief period of time. Speaking of brief periods of time, are you still monitoring Kadic?" Dr. Kamizono asked.

"Well, I was, but up until recent I was asked to do this messed up mission." Naomi elaborated.

"I heard of the lies you told Nova in the orbital elevator and during the limo ride. It sounds like you had quite the tough time." Dr. Kamizono added.

"Yeah, one thing's for sure, it wasn't fun. Trying to fill the awkward silence with even more awkward questions." Naomi admitted.

"Rumors of you have started to circulate throughout the floors. There's evena new one of you bein able to low in the dark." Dr. Kamizono informed.

Naomi cackled with her head in her arms which were folded on the table.

"How's Naomi?" Anthea questioned.

"She's at S-FIT right now. Asimov made her turn herself in." Franz notified.

"Is there anything we can do?" Anthea hoped.

"I'm afraid not dear. All we can do now is wait." Franz sighed.

The Lyoko warios were currently facing the same situation.

"Why can't we get Naomi from S-FIT!?" Odd fussed.

"Because we can't devirtualize her since she wasn't teleported from Lyoko." Jeremy elucidated.

"So you're telling me that all we can do now is sit around and wait!?" That's so not fair!" Odd fumed.

"Well it's not like we can get the Sumeragi to give her up." Yumi remarked.

"But we can try and pretend we want to work for them alongside her!" Jeremy theorized.

"That's a little crazy Einstein, even for you. But it sounds like it just might work." Ulrich supposed.

"We can't do that, they'd know from our last attempt to reach her that we'd be there for Naomi. And trying to surrender that quick without a fight would instantly let them know we're up to something." Aelita debated.

"I guess all we can do is sit around and wait." Yumi sighed.

The group kept themselves occupied by talking with Xana, playing games, watching the news and monitoring Lyoko. Jeremy wrote programs while everyone checked on the sectors. Xana checked on sector 5. The coast was clear as was the Digital Sea. Everyone trained their bodies and minds until it was time for dinner. Aelita had a breakdown in the cafeteria.

"It'll be okay princess. Naomi can work something out." Odd assured.

"I"m not so sure that she'll be able to work her way out of this one anytime soon Odd." Jeremy denied.

"How can you say something like that Einstein?" Odd remarked.

"Because Naomi's about to be in far more trouble than she already is." Jeremy stated.

"What are you implying?" Yumi asked.

"See for yourself." Jeremy spoke as he turned his laptop around.

"What's that document Dr. Kamizono is signing? Can you zoom in on it?" Odd pondered.

Jeremy made the video full screen.

"Where did you get that footage anyway?" Ulrich asked.

"I gave it to him. It's thanks to me that you're all watching what's going on right now. It is a disclosed conference room after all." Xana elucidated as he tok Odd's bread roll.

"What's on the paper?" Ulrich pondered.

"W-wait? Is that what I think it is? Then, does that mean?" Jeremy worried.

"Can someone please tell me what's going on?" Aelita queried.

"If this is right, then that means... Naomi will soon be property of the Sumeragi." Jeremy notified.

Nobody was moving except Xana who had his arms folded and looked down, a common habit of his while in deep thought.

"Hey, earth to Xana. I know you think this is bad but there's nothing you can do about it right now." Odd waved.
