A/N: Here is Chapter 19 of the series! I hope you enjoy!

Last Time on Poké Rangers Dino Charge…

Thomas bonds with the grey energy crystal, becoming the eighth Poké Ranger. To prove their worth, Thomas puts the rangers on a test to test their skills after fighting with Metagar. Even though the rangers use their powers together to defeat Metagar, Leona is still trapped in her test…

Dino Paradise…

"…Ugh…"

Leona slowly woke up as she looked around. She turned to notice everyone around her, concerned about her. The red ranger slowly managed to climb to her feet as she turned to Thomas. Thomas turned around as he looked at the other rangers. Joe walked over as he turned to Atticus, who was happy to see her alive.

"Are you okay?" asked Atticus, looking at the red ranger. She had a few cuts and bruises, but she was also sore. Leona shook her head, "That test was too hard..."

"Well, his tests were a little out of this world," said Joe, turning to Thomas. The grey ranger stared at him as he turned to Leona, "Then how come you passed?"

Joe said nothing as Thomas raised an eyebrow, "The four of you were able to figure out the attacks. Each Lucario Robot had a different Fossil Charger: Bounce, Hypnosis, Attract, Poison Gas… and a combination."

"A combination?" asked Leona.

"Barrier," said Thomas, grinning, looking at Drake. Drake nodded as he turned to Leona. Leona looked at Drake as she turned to him, "No offense, Thomas, but that was a rigged test."

"It's not rigged, it's fair," said Thomas.

"How is that fair?" Leona asked, "I nearly got killed up in some snowbank!"

"As the leader of the team, you are expected to deal with tough challenges that await you. You are responsible for our lives and responsible for anything that happens to us during battle. How can you fight knowing that you will have a battle that gives you a slim chance in winning?" Thomas asked.

Joe took a step back as he looked at Thomas and then at Leona, "Well, I mean… the last couple of battles have been extremely tough to fight. Especially, Metagar just now."

"Metagar? Is he still here?" asked Leona.

"No… we destroyed him," said Thomas, "All seven of us were able to use what we learned in our training to stop him."

Leona said nothing as Thomas walked toward her. He looked at her as he turned around, "Drake, why is she leading if she couldn't take the hardest test?"

Leona looked up at Thomas as he chuckled, "It's true. The results prove it."

Drake turned around as he looked at Thomas, going to defend her, "Well, Tyrantrum bonded with Leona. Tyrantrum was the king of the army that fought Ferro Fett years ago, so it would make sense to learn from her."

"Tyrantrum made the wrong choice," he said, looking at Leona. Leona turned around as she smacked him in the face. Thomas turned around as he looked at the red ranger. Leona walked over toward Drake as she turned to Thomas, "Alright, Thomas… if you think I am not worthy of leading… then I challenge you personally. As Princess of the Dinosaur Kingdom, I challenge you."

"You were Princess of the Ancient Dinosaur Kingdom thousands of years ago… I find that to be blasphemy," said Thomas.

Mack turned around as he looked at Thomas, "It's true. I'm her bodyguard to protect her from Ferro Fett."

Thomas laughed manically, "So… you actually have to protect her? A true leader protects the people. Leaders don't need protection."

Leona walked forward as she grabbed him by the neck of his collar, "And that is why I challenge you. You think you can lead better… I would like to see how the Lucario Prince who only cares about himself try to battle the leader of the team."

Thomas laughed as he looked at her, "I accept your challenge. Eterna Forest, one hour."

As he walked by, he also grabbed the red Energy Crystal from the charging station. Before Leona could say anything, Thomas turned around, "You might want to think twice. This is to see if you can really work with Tyrantrum and myself."

Taking the Fossil Blaster, he pulled the trigger. A grey aura surrounded him as he disappeared.

Chapter 19: Kickboxer: Rampardos

Ferro Fett groaned as he turned around to look at the villains. Maracturne, Cremelia and Turnchou turned around as Shockhound was standing to watch Ferro Fett in the conference room. He twirled his pen as he looked at the team, "Guys, we have a problem. There needs to be a new way to capture those crystals."

"How? They keep destroying our plans all the time!" Cremelia said, "And with eight of them now, it's going to be harder than ever."

Turnchou nodded in agreement with Cremelia, "Yeah, it's like they are able to respond with ease and the last two monsters were supposedly top winners."

"But, they get new weapons on top of it," said Maracturne, "The Relic Claws… and then Metagar getting broadsided by three different attacks! I mean if we want to help Gircannon take this place over and take the crystals for our benefit…"

"But, weren't you there originally?" asked Shockhound.

"You said I did… but I don't remember," said Maracturne, "Sadly."

"If Drake didn't wipe your memory we would have had them right where it hurt," said Ferro Fett, slamming his hand on the table, "And now we got to deal with them!"

Before Turnchou could continue, flashes of light surrounded them as a black hole appeared in front. The villains were surprised as they saw Metagar come back. However, he was upgraded. He had black and silver claws with red designs. He also had a more metallic frame. Gircannon appeared behind him as the rift disappeared.

"How is he alive?" asked Turnchou in shock.

"Simple, Turnchou. My Dark Vortex power can heal and give monsters another chance," said Gircannon, "Seeing he did well destroying two cities, I wanted him to continue. You will get your crystals… or at least I will."

"And I am more powerful than ever!" shouted Metagar.

"Good!" Ferro Fett said in response, "Shockhound, help Metagar take the Energy Crystals and give the rangers a piece of my mind."

Dino Paradise…

"Why would Thomas want to challenge Leona in the Eterna Forest?" asked Joe, sitting down to listen to Drake. Drake turned around as he looked at the team, "The Eterna Forest is a place where its all mysterious. The Eterna Forest is also a great place to get lost."

"Getting lost is an understatement," said Atticus, looking at Joe, "Unless you have a great sense of direction, you won't be able to get out of it. Also, trainers come from all over to battle those that are inexperienced because of how thick it is."

Joe turned around as he spoke with them, "Well, I think to have Leona challenge Thomas is a dumb idea. If it wasn't for her, we wouldn't be here."

"True," said Grayson, looking at Joe, "But, this isn't about being a leader. I see why he's doing it."

"Why?" asked Mack, looking at Grayson with curiosity. The green ranger shrugged, "You see, Thomas might be all up in it… but, deep down all he wants is respect from her."

"What do you mean respect?" asked Kyland, looking at Grayson with confusion. Grayson added on, "He wants to see if Leona can defeat him. He sees us as fighting companions when we all passed that test."

Kyland sighed as he looked at Mack. Mack nodded as he turned to Kyland and then at Grayson, "And his assessment was us fighting Megatar without him to see if we can fight effectively, which we've proven to do."

"So, Thomas sees potential in Leona, but doesn't think she's leader material," said Mack, looking at the team, "We all know she is amazing."

"Yeah… she helped us out when we needed her and she is doing her best to hold the Dinosaur Kingdom reputation," said Lisa, turning to them.

Drake turned around as he looked at them. He walked over as he turned to the rangers, "Let them battle."

The rangers stood in shock as Drake stood forward, "I'll handle Thomas when the time comes. But, I have faith Leona will prevail. She was destined to be a leader of this team, which is something Thomas must understand."

Meanwhile…

Leona walked around as she entered the Eterna Forest. The trees were covered so thick, it was hard to find out where she was. She heard stories about this place. Compared to Petalburg Woods back in her hometown, this place was harder to navigate. She headed toward the middle of the woods, where she was wondering where Thomas was. As she managed to get to thicket of the trees, she froze as she saw the unthinkable.

There was a clear-cut field with a black net around it. As she walked into the field, she turned around as she saw something in the woods, releasing a red beam of energy. Immediately, Leona pulled the trigger four times with her Fossil Blaster, shooting it down. Walking over, she turned to notice it was a Lucario Robot. She then turned around as she felt someone throw a punch. She dodged, noticing Thomas. However, Thomas was not dressed in his usual business attire. Thomas wore grey sleeveless shirt and white sweatpants. He also had a black sweatband that was tied in a ponytail. Thomas laughed as he looked at her, "Well, leader… it's time we battle."

"Thomas, we don't physically fight for personal gain. Pokémon Battles may not be the right move either, but Pokémon Battles are a best way to train skill on this," Leona said.

"True," said Thomas, turning around, "Pokémon Battles here happen often… but you aren't just a trainer, Leona. You are a warrior. You did so well leading the team… but obviously since I took the crystal, you choked."

Leona glared at him as Thomas turned around, "What does that mean?"

"You challenged me to a battle… prove to me that you are worthy of leading!" Thomas shouted.

Meanwhile…

Joe turned around as he grabbed his Energy Crystal from the charging station. The others nodded as they went to get their batteries. Deciding it would be best to watch Leona's battle, they head over toward the exit. Right before they could activate, the alarm activates. Mack stepped down as he was watching the screen. His eyes grew as he saw Metagar releasing another explosion in Eterna City.

"How is he alive?" asked Lisa.

"I don't know," said Mack, turning to the others, "You guys go… I'll handle him."

"Are you sure?" asked Lisa, turning to Mack, "It took all six of us to beat him!"

"At least when Leona wins, you can meet me. But, Eterna City can't fall the same fate as Oreburgh and Veilstone," said Mack. He reached for his Fossil Charger, "Aerodactyl Charger, Energize!"

Pressing the button, a golden aura surrounded his energy crystal into the fossil charger. He did a little spin, creating a dance as he placed his hand on the morpher. Pulling a lever, the energy slot opened to place the charger inside.

Aerodactyl, Energize!

"Unleash the Power!"

Closing the slot, he pulled the slot with his finger. A golden aura shot out of the morpher as an Aerodactyl emerged. Aerodactyl swooped around as he transformed into his suit. He turned around as he looked at the other rangers. Instantly, five flashes of energy surrounded them as they teleported. Mack jumped up as he looked at Drake. Drake was silent but understood what needed to be done. Mack nodded as he activated his morpher, teleporting out of Dino Paradise.

As the rangers teleported to Eterna Forest, Joe and the others turned to each other as they were walking deeper into the woods. Looking around, all they can see is the thickness of trees and the harsh winds. Continuing into the woods, deeper in the woods, Lisa turned around as she heard something rustle. She turned around as she withdrew her Poké Ball. Grayson looked over as Lisa stopped walking.

"You okay?" asked Grayson.

"I hear something… something in the bushes," said Lisa.

"Could be a trainer asking to battle," said Atticus, grabbing his Poké Ball, "Get ready."

As the five rangers started rustling through, they were surprised as they were interrupted by a wave of Lucario Robots. The rangers stood in a circle as the Lucario Robots were ready to fight.

"We are not allowed to have you watch the battle… Prince's orders…"

"To hell with his orders," said Joe, turning to the others, "Let's give these robots a piece of our minds."

The rangers nodded as they went to do battle with the robots.

Meanwhile, in Eterna City…

Mack was running through the street, noticing Metagar. Metagar grinned as he saw a field of flames around him. Metagar, laughing as he turned to the city. The city was starting to go as he turned around to the gold ranger, who was standing there, watching the whole thing burn.

"… It's nice to see you alive again," Mack said.

Metagar grinned as he stretched out his claws, "Oh look… it's Aero-head. Where's your aqua and grey friend? You all owe me a rematch after what you did!"

Mack chuckled as he looked at the revised creature, "Aero-head? You couldn't come up with anything better? Don't worry about them. You're my opponent. Fossil Charger, Energize!"

Placing the Fossil Charger in his saber, a golden surge of energy surrounded the Golden Amber Saber. Stretching his arm out, a golden aura surrounded it as his wings stretched out. Flying across, he struck Metagar. Metagar took the blade, catching it with his hands. Mack gulped as he was thrown across. Mack yelled as he was thrown across, crashing into a building. As Mack crashed through the windows, Mack landed on a table. Mack shook his head as Metagar charged his fists. A black and red aura surrounded his fists, aiming straight toward the building. Mack turned around as he grabbed his saber. Using the wings from his suit, Mack jumped up as he broke through the roof, just in time for Metagar to release an attack, leveling the building to nothing. Metagar looked up as Mack raised his saber, aiming straight toward him. As electricity surrounded it, a golden aura appeared in front of him, blocking him with the saber. Mack stood in surprise as Shockhound arrived, slashing him multiple times and throwing him to the ground. Mack coughed as he tried to get up. As he went to strike, Shockhound struck with his saber, releasing a lightning wave. Mack yelled as explosions surrounded him. Thrown across, a golden aura surrounded Mack as he landed on the ground. Metagar walked over as he grabbed him by the neck. Shockhound stretched his saber out, "Hello, slave… it's been a while."

"… Hello, dogbreath," said Mack, breathing heavily.

"You've done enough damage," said Shockhound, turning to Metagar, "Let's have some fun with ol' goldie!"

Metagar laughed as Shockhound clenched his neck, knocking him out. Mack was slumped over Shockhound's shoulder as Metagar laughed, leaving Eterna City. Metagar turned around as some survivors and their Pokémon watched. Metagar grinned as he turned around, "I'll be back, Eterna City! After this city is toast, it's only a matter of time until all of Sinnoh falls to us."

Meanwhile…

Thomas released a blue energy beam from his hand. Leona dodged each blast from him. Leona flipped forward as she used her left foot to strike. Thomas blocked above his head as he went to sweep her other leg. Leona felt the sweep as she landed, only for her to use her hands to keep her from falling. Leona kicked him in the chest as Thomas felt it. Leona used a spinning hook kick, only for Thomas to block it. Thomas then used a left hook to slug Leona in the stomach. Leona screamed as she landed on the ground. Leona turned around as she used her legs, grabbing his leg. Thomas yelled as he fell face first. Leona stood in a fighting stance as Thomas carefully got up.

"You actually do have skill, I'm impressed for someone who was a princess… or at least a princess that ran away," said Thomas.

"First, I was a baby when all of that happened. I can't control that," Leona said, striking a punch, only for Thomas to block. Leona turned around as Thomas went to go on the offensive. Leona blocked the attack as she went to strike, only for Thomas to use his energy. Leona froze as Thomas went to punch. Leona landed on the ground as Thomas started chuckling. Leona looked up as she walked toward him, "Second, you don't know me well enough. My past doesn't define me. Instead, my past is used to help shape who I will become. I'm not some runaway and I won't let your cheating robots or some snobby Lucarian Prince chastise me."

As Thomas stood there, taking all of this, he laughed as he went in for the strike. Leona grabbed his arm and went behind. Thomas gulped as he felt Leona tighten her grip. She grabbed him by the neck as Thomas winced, "And I also find your fighting a little unfair. Did you expect me to have any pure power at all? You should be thankful to use your Aura Powers. I wish I had that! Now, allow me to return the favor!"

She released him quickly, only for Leona to use two back kicks, hitting Thomas. Leona jumped up as she did a flying side kick. Thomas was hit as he was sent flying, landing in the net and on the ground. Leona took a deep breath as she looked at her opponent. Thomas looked up as Leona stood there angrily.

"Leona!"

Leona looked over, noticing Joe and the others. Joe had his Fossil Blaster in hand as he looked at Leona. Atticus walked over as he turned to her, "Are you okay?"

Grayson turned around as he looked at the net. Seeing the blast burns on Leona's arms and on the field, he turned around as he looked at Thomas. Thomas looked up as Lisa went to look at her burns. Kyland turned around seeing the battlefield as he walked over toward Thomas, "Dude, what the heck?"

Thomas took a deep breath, "What?"

"You are a fool! This looks like more than a typical sparring field or even a Pokémon battlefield. It's almost like an octagon ring," said Grayson, stretching his saber, "And with you using your powers, this was an unfair battle."

Thomas turned around as he looked at Grayson, "You think this is unfair?"

"I agree with Grayson," Atticus replied, "I get that you wanted to test our leader, but this was too much."

Grayson grumbled, "I get why you wanted to do this… but I think you went a little too far. Using your robots to defend the arena, using your robots to try to stop us… You didn't want us to be near your little test and for one reason… you want to be leader."

Lisa, trying to wrap Leona's right arm with a bandage, looked up as she turned to Thomas. The grey ranger took a deep breath as the pink ranger was working. Speaking in a calm tone, she turned to Thomas, "Thomas, from what I can tell, you wanted to test us to see if we can work with you, but it looks like you wanted to cut Leona out of the equation. Well, I have a question for you."

Thomas, now getting angry, looked at Lisa as she finished her bandage, "If you can use Aura Power… you should be able to feel what we feel. Lucario can sense that in their trainers and the environment around them. Did you expect that if Leona failed we were going to respect your leadership? We aren't your robots!"

"Leona taught us to work together in harmony," Joe said, looking at Thomas, "She is the glue that holds the team together. Without her, we can't work together as a team."

"That was why Tyrantrum chose her… this isn't about royalty," Kyland said, "It's about how we can work together… and right now, your tests are not important! We have two more crystals to find so we can save this planet. You are a disgrace to the Poké Rangers if you keep up with your attitude!"

Thomas marched forward as he looked at them, "Well, then. How were you able to battle and win then without strict leadership?"

Leona turned to Thomas as she looked at him, "Thomas, it's not about having stronger power or being strict to where my friends are soldiers. We're all friends."

Thomas looked up in silence. The rangers nodded in response as Leona turned to him, "You see, when you are part of the Poké Rangers, you share a bond… a bond that never breaks. Friendship, courage, knowledge… and other things help embody what we do. My friends empower me to do my best to lead the team. They trust me, which is why they are so loyal."

Thomas said nothing as she continued. As he looked up in response, Leona punched him in the face, knocking him down. Thomas looked up as the red Energy Crystal fell out of his pocket. Leona stretched out her hand as the crystal connected back to her. Thomas looked up as the field began to glow in a blue aura, disappearing. Thomas tried to stand in response, noticing a line of blood coming from his bottom lip. Leona grabbed him by the shirt, "With your attitude, you have a long way to go. Did you ever think that Rampardos chose you because maybe it was time to open your heart to others instead of being yourself?"

Kyland looked up as he realized something. He turned to her as he went to speak, "Leona, I know you are scolding our new ranger friend here, but while you were gone, Metagar revived, and he is superbly powerful."

Leona turned around, "What?"

"That's right! We don't have time to scold," said Grayson, looking at Leona, "Mack went on his own in Eterna City."

"We have to move," said Joe.

Leona nodded as the rangers started heading toward Eterna City. Leona turned around as she looked at Thomas. Thomas stood there silently as Leona looked at him. Leona grinned as she went to walk away. Thomas turned around as he looked down at the ground, noticing what was going on. He turned around as he felt a presence. Looking up, Thomas noticed a blue aura arrived as someone familiar arrived.

"Drake?" asked Thomas.

"Sit down, Thomas. We need to talk," Drake said.

Eterna City…

The rangers were driving on their Cyclizars, heading toward the city. As they reached the city border, crossing the lush bridge of Route 205, the team walked toward the entrance to watch some of the city on fire. The Eterna Fire Department already started putting out the fires as Leona looked over, "This is bad."

"Where is Mack?" asked Joe.

"Good question," said Grayson, looking at the team. Kyland turned around as he saw something on the ground. Running across the street, Kyland picked up a Fossil Charger, designed in gold, "Mack is somewhere."

"Guys!"

The shrilling sound of Roark's voice caused the seven rangers to turn around as Roark began to breathe heavily, "I'm so glad you're here. Gardenia called me as well once the attack started."

"Next thing you know they will head to another city," said Lisa, turning to Roark, "Where's Mack?"

Roark dropped his head down as he looked over toward them. Before he could say anything, he turned around to notice someone walk toward him. She had brown khaki shorts with green shoes. She also had a black long-sleeved shirt with a green mini cloak over her shirt. She had orange eyes with black and orange hair, cut short.

"Roark! What are you doing here?" she asked.

"Gardenia, I stopped by to help… Oreburgh is pretty much under control. Veilstone City is also a hot mess," said Roark.

"I know. It's almost like those creatures have been attacking almost every point in Sinnoh," said Gardenia, turning to the others, "Are you all okay?"

"Yeah… we are missing a friend of ours. We just got into town," Leona responded.

Gardenia, eyeing the gold charger Kyland had, looked up as she took a breath, "Well, I did see someone being dragged by some Metagross-Magmar creature and someone that looks like a Luxray-Boltund creature?"

Leona nodded her head as she turned to her, "How far did they get?"

"They left south of the city. Where, I don't know," said Gardenia.

Atticus nodded as he turned to the others. Leona nodded as they started running toward south of the city. As the rangers were heading south, Gardenia turned around as Roark looked across. Gardenia watched the rangers as she went to speak. Roark turned around as he looked at her, "You seem to be very quick about that."

Gardenia raised an eyebrow, "I just sense it. They are his friends… and I am sure they will rescue them."

Roark nodded in response. He turned around as he looked at Gardenia, "Alright, let's fix your gym."

Meanwhile, on Route 206…

The sun was shining high over the mountainous route, right around Cycling Road. Underneath Cycling Road, Shockhound and Metagar laughed as they had Mack chained to a rock wall. Mack taking a deep breath, turned around as Shockhound walked toward a tree stump. Placing a grey device, he looked at the Gold Energy Crystal as he placed it in the slot.

"What do you plan on doing?" asked Metagar.

"Simple. Seeing Mack's life source is in this crystal… I am going to siphon it out and drain it and then I will fuse it… and take back what's rightfully mine," Shockhound said.

Metagar turned to him, "But, the boss wants the crystal."

"I know! But, I want Aerodactyl back. I am still angry about what he did!" shouted Shockhound.

Mack said nothing as Shockhound shook his head, "You are going to pay dearly for what you did to me back in the Wayward Cave, Mackenzie!"

As he pressed a green button on the device, Mack began to glow in a golden light. A beam emanated from Mack, heading into the crystal. Mack groaned as he felt pain and pressure. Shockhound laughed as he was looking at him. Metagar turned to Shockhound as he continued laughing more, "The Noble Warrior is now crying for his life! I like it! Now you can die!"

He watched the growth bar that was located on the device. Seeing the green line go across, Shockhound laughed as he crossed his arms. Seeing it was about 25 percent, he went to grab the wires from the device. Ready to plug himself in, he attached only one part to his left arm, when he heard a loud voice.

"Cinderace, Pyro Ball!"

A sphere of fire was launched, heading straight toward Shockhound. Shockhound went to block, but as he did, the wires exploded. Shockhound landed on the ground as he turned to see Leona and the others.

"Roserade, Power Whip… break the chains!" Lisa shouted.

Roserade nodded as green mega-sized whips emerged from her flowers, smacking the chains down. Mack slumped as a golden aura was still channeling through. Grayson turned around as he released his Sneasel.

"Sneasel, break that device with Slash!"

Sneasel jumped up, using its claws, slashing the device. The energy aura dissipated as Mack began to regain his strength. Shockhound looked up as Metagar turned around. Mack was helped as the three Pokémon stood together with the rangers. Mack stretched his hand as the golden energy crystal floated toward him. Shockhound grumbled as he turned around with Metagar. Metagar sharpened his claws as the rangers stood.

"I think you got a little sidetracked," said Leona, turning to Shockhound. Shockhound grew angrily as Mack turned to her, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," Leona replied, "I'm just glad Shockhound didn't destroy you."

Metagar turned around as he stepped forward, "I was killed already, and I will not be underestimated again!"

"Well, I am sure our friend's training helped… but now… you're on my turf," Leona said, taking out her Fossil Charger, "Let's Poké Battle!"

"Right!" shouted the rangers, "Fossil Charger, Energize!"

Pressing the buttons on the Fossil Chargers, the rangers did a little dance, spinning around as they had their Fossil Blasters in hand. Opening them, the rangers placed their Fossil Chargers in the Fossil Blasters. Mack placed the Fossil Charger in the morpher slot.

Tyrantrum Charger, Energize!

Armaldo Charger, Energize!

Carracosta Charger, Energize!

Kabutops Charger, Energize!

Bastiodon Charger, Energize!

Aerodactyl Charger, Energize!

Omastar Charger, Energize!

The rangers spun the blasters. A golden aura surrounded each blaster as they struck their blasters in the air, "Unleash the Power!"

Pulling the trigger, the Prehistoric Pokémon were unleashed as they landed on the rangers. A white glow surrounded them as their suits arrived.

"Tyrantrum! Dino Charge Red!"

"Armaldo! Dino Charge Black!"

"Carracosta! Dino Charge Blue!"

"Kabutops! Dino Charge Green!"

"Bastiodon! Dino Charge Pink!"

"Aerodactyl! Dino Charge Gold!"

"Omastar! Dino Chare Aqua!"

"Poké Rangers Dino Charge!"

As the explosions surrounded them, the rangers turned to Leona as she stood in the middle of the team, "It's about to get wild, peeps! Let's shut 'em down!"

Meanwhile…

Thomas looked up as Drake sat next to him. The sound of the trees were echoing through as he looked around, noticing Drake as he went to talk. Drake looked up as he turned to this place, "You know, this place is full of beauty… despite how trainers use this place."

"What's your point?" asked Thomas.

"I'm just trying to make conversation," Drake said, looking at the grey ranger, "But, we need to talk about you."

Thomas turned around as he looked at Drake. Drake released a blue aura of energy. Thomas's eyes grew as a flash of blue surrounded him. Thomas turned around as he was looking around, seeing nothing but green and yellow energy. He turned around as he looked at Drake, "Where are we?"

"We are in a time dimension… I am going to take you to your past…" he said.

"No way! I don't want to go," said Thomas.

Drake turned around as he looked at him, "Sadly, you don't have a choice."

Snapping his fingers, a flash of light appeared as Thomas looked across. Thomas turned around as he sat down. He was surprised to see the Veilstone City Dojo, a dojo that he trained at when he was a kid. Thomas turned around as he saw the grey arena with white lights. As he walked toward the battlefield, Thomas stood in shock as he saw a kid version of himself. Thomas's eyes began to glow in blue eyes. Gulping, Drake appeared from behind. Drake walked over as he turned to him, "What do you see?"

"Me," said Thomas, looking at him.

"You use Lucario powers… sense his heart," said Drake.

"But-," said Thomas, but Drake interrupted him, "Sense his heart."

Thomas took a deep breath as he stretched out his hand. Opening up his hand, a blue aura surrounded him as he began to look at his younger self. Thomas broke down as he began to have flashbacks, moments of peril. Flashbacks containing information he was afraid to open. As he did, he gulped as he saw a flashback.

Thomas landed on the ground as he saw what the Lucario Kingdom once was. It was a beautiful village with green lush fields, homes that were designed to look beautiful. He was ecstatic to see himself become a warrior of the kingdom. As his younger self looked up though, he noticed a tone of Pokémon Poachers heading toward the kingdom, burning things down. Thomas shook his head as he fell to his knees.

"Please, stop this! I don't want to look at this anymore!"

A flash of white light surrounded him as Drake looked up. Thomas took a deep breath as he turned around, noticing Drake. Drake walked over as he put his hands on his shoulders, "So, the Lucario Kingdom was run down by poachers…"

"… And my family is gone…" said Thomas, "Riolu, Lucario… everyone is gone. I was supposed to rebuild the kingdom. Rebuilding the kingdom that was run by people and Lucario. Lucario and I worked together after the destruction. We made Lucario Robots to originally create an army to destroy the poachers that took the Aura Sphere that built our kingdom. But, when I saw the Poké Rangers for the first time in Sinnoh, I was hoping they would respect me, and I could lead them to help build my kingdom back. I wasn't expecting this all to happen to me."

Drake turned around as he looked at him, "Thomas, I am sorry that your kingdom has fallen through. Rebuilding is tough, but just like Leona, you also have a reputation to uphold. If your parents were alive right now… seeing what you are doing, that is not helping to rebuild. You are just burning more of a bridge."

Thomas looked up as Drake stared at him, "How can you be of royalty and rebuild your kingdom if you can't rebuild yourself?"

Thomas looked at Drake silently as Drake continued, "Why do you think Rampardos bonded with you?"

Thomas was also confused on that question. Drake turned around as he looked at him, "He sensed more than courage in you. As a matter of fact, he knows what's in your heart. It's not about the technology, it's not about being of royalty… it's what's in your heart. That is what being a true Prince of the Lucario Kingdom is all about."

Thomas looked at Drake as he noticed the grey Energy Crystal. As he held it, Drake released a bright white of energy, returning them to the forest. Drake looked over as he turned to the woods, "Now, you will prove it."

"How?" asked Thomas.

"Prove yourself to the team… they are fighting Shockhound and Metagar again. Rather than testing them, work with them," said Drake, "They will show you the way."

A flash of blue light surrounded Drake as he disappeared. Thomas turned around as he grabbed the Fossil Blaster out of his backpack, collecting the grey chargers. Without speaking, he started dashing toward the exit of the forest, heading toward the battle.

Meanwhile…

The rangers finished the last group of Mooks using their Fossil Blasters and Sabers. As the pile of Mooks increased, the rangers turned around as they faced Metagar. Metagar laughed as he stretched out his claws. Black and red aura energy surrounded him as he released a beam of meteor energy. The rangers dodged the attack as the explosion emerged. Leona turned around as she used her Fossil Blaster, dragging it on her right shoulder.

"Dino Armor, Engage!"

Her Tyrantrum Fang materialized as she dodged the attack. She jumped over as she aimed her fist at Metagar. Red and golden energy surrounded it as she pierced his armor. He screamed as Leona raised her fang.

"Hammer Arm!"

Smashing his armor, Metagar cringed as explosions surrounded him. Kyland grabbed his Omastar Cannon, shooting spiks. Aqua blasts of energy occurred, piercing Metagar again. As he winced in pain, he turned to Leona as Leona nodded, "Rangers, Dino Spiker!"

As Leona pressed it, she threw the charger in the air. The weapons were thrown up in the air as well. The Tyrantrum Fang stood as the base. The Carracosta Shield was placed on top of the Tyrantrum Fang. The Armaldo Claw and Kabutos Slasher connected to either side of the blaster. The Basitodon Drill connected to the end. The Dino Spiker charger went inside the front of the blaster. A golden energy surge surrounded it as Leona grabbed it.

"Dino Spiker, Horn Drill!"

As the spiker was thrown, it turned into a horn as it started spinning. Tyrantrum, Armaldo, Carracosta, Kabutops and Bastiodon emerged as it was heading toward the monster. Metagar laughed as he turned to look at them, "That won't work!"

"Yeah…about that…," said Kyland, using his Omastar Cannon. Pressing his Fossil Charger, he placed it in the Omastar Cannon, "Spike Missile!"

As a steel missile, shaped like Omastar's spike pierced the crack that Leona hit on Metagar's armor. As the explosion made a huge dent, the drill went through Metagar as he screamed in response. Falling to the ground, he exploded into pieces.

"Metagar!"

Shockhound turned around as Mack slashed him across. Mack turned around as he landed on the ground with his saber. Before Mack could finish, Shockhound turned around as he grabbed his black watch that Maracturne created, pressing the red button on the watch. A green energy blast pierced the sky, channeling Metagar's body. Metagar grew ten times bigger as he roared.

"Oh boy…," said Leona, "Kyland, Lisa!"

"Right!" said the rangers.

"Tyrantrum…"

"Omastar…"

"Bastiodon…"

"I Choose You!"

The fossil chargers were thrown, releasing Tyrantrum, Omastar and Bastiodon. Metagar released a meteor shower around the area. Omastar released spike missiles, destroying the meteors in the area. Bastiodon and Tyrnatrum charged through fighting the creature. Metagar released a fire punch attack, causing destruction in between.

"Tri-Fossil Fusion!"

Immediately, Tyrantrum opened its mouth. Aqua and pink energy surrounded Bastiodon and Omastar as Tyrantrum ingested the energy. A red aura surrounded the Tyrantrum as the legs began to rise higher, seeing robotic feet. The Tyrantrum Zord roared as the upper body rotated, leaving the tail to be the left side and the head of the zord on the right. Omastar's shell began to soften as the shell and body lengthened into an arm, connecting to the right side of the Megazord. The shell then hardened as spikes emerged out of it. The Bastiodon raised its tail as it connected to the left side with its legs and arms shrinking, forming the left hand and arm of the Megazord. A human head popped out of the body. It was a silver head with a red helmet that looked like a Tyrantrum helmet. Green eyes glowed as it started jumping.

"Dino Spiker Megazord, Battle Ready!"

Immediately, the Dino Spiker Megazord released multiple spike missiles. Metagar leapt up as it missed. Metagar released flames and meteor strikes, shooting down the Dino Spiker Megazord. The rangers held on as Metagar used its claw to slash the Megazord. He then released a red and black energy beam. The six rangers yelled as they were hit hard by the attack. The rangers stumbled in the cockpit.

"Guys!" shouted Mack. As he went to grab his charger, he felt a hand touch. Mack turned around as Thomas arrived, morphed in his uniform, "I'll handle it. Rampardos, I choose you!"

A grey aura surrounded the Fossil Charger as Rampardos arrived. Metagar turned around, "Not again!"

Metagar got thrashed multiple times by Rampardos. Rampardos used its tail, arms and head to smack the creature repeatedly. Metagar grimaced in pain as he landed on the ground, trying to fight back. Metagar looked up as Rampardos roared. Rampardos turned to the Dino Spiker Megazord.

"Leona, combine!"

"What?" asked Leona.

"Seriously?" asked Grayson.

Thomas turned around as he stepped forward, "Let's work together… please."

Leona took a deep breath as she turned around, turning to Lisa. Lisa sighed as she turned around, "Alright… Bastiodon, detach!"

"Tri-Fossil Fusion!" shouted Thomas.

As Bastiodon detached from the Tri-Fossil Megazord, the Tyrantrum scanned Rampardos. A grey aura surrounded Rampardos as it opened his mouth, revealing the Fossil Charger. Scanning its energy, the Fossil Charger returned to Rampardos as it jumped up. Rampardos folded its arms and legs. His body turned around as the tail was facing toward the back, but the head was the hand.

"Dino Puncher Megazord!"

Thomas jumped up as he landed in the cockpit. As Thomas arrived, he placed the Fossil Blaster in the holster. Metagar roared as he went to use another meteor shower. The rangers watched as there were meteors heading toward them. Quickly, the Dino Puncher Megazord spun around, dodging the meteors that were coming through. Floating through, a blue aura surrounded the meteors as they exploded into pieces. Thomas turned around as he focused his energy with the others. The rangers noticed something as Thomas began to control it. A calming nature occurred as the rangers continued to fight Metagar. Charging through, the Rampardos arm punched straight through Metagar. Metagar's body screamed as shards exploded. Metagar noticed the red crack in his body as he was then punched back and forth.

"Hammer Arm!"

Swinging its body, a grey aura surrounded the Rampardos as Metagar's body was pierced through. The Megazord turned around as it grabbed Metagar by the leg. Jumping up, Metagar tried to let go, but the grip tightened. Swinging across, Metagar screamed as Metagar was thrown to the ground. As it was heading straight for the mountains, Thomas stood with the others. A blue aura surrounded the cockpit as the rangers turned to him.

"Rangers, join with me…" Thomas said.

As their energies combined with Thomas, a blue aura sphere started to form from the center of the Megazord.

"Dino Puncher Megazord, Aura Sphere!"

A mega-sized blue sphere was formed and launched, heading straight down toward Metagar. Metagar screamed as the sphere landed on top of him, causing an explosion. The Dino Puncher Megazord landed on the ground.

Dino Paradise…

Thomas grinned as he walked into the hideout. He turned around as he noticed the other rangers who followed behind him. Thomas placed his crystal and chargers in the assigned slot as the others followed suit. As the others went to speak, Thomas nodded quietly as he began to walk away. Leona walked over as she went to see him head toward the exit.

"Hey, you are going to leave?" asked Leona.

Thomas turned around as he looked at her. Feeling guilty, Leona hopped over as she turned toward him, "You're guilty about what happened earlier."

Thomas raised an eyebrow silently. Leona grinned as she looked at him, "Don't worry about it. I don't know why you did, but I sense you're hurting."

Thomas nodded slowly as he looked at her. Leona embraced him in a hug. Thomas took it awkwardly as she looked at the wall. She looked at the new ranger, "Remember, whatever is on your mind, we will work together as a team."

Thomas turned around as he noticed the other rangers. Joe grinned as he placed his Fossil Blaster behind his neck. Atticus had his arms folded across his chest. Grayson sighed as he looked at him. Lisa nodded as she smiled in response. Mack nodded slowly, grinning in response. Kyland walked over as he went to speak to him, "Besides, we need your help anyway."

"Are you sure?" asked Thomas.

"Yes," said Kyland, looking at the others, "We have two more crystals to find. We don't Ferro Fett finding them. Besides, maybe Dialga will help you restore what you lost."

Thomas turned to them as he grinned, yet shaking his head, "The past is the past, Kyland. What's more important is working together to save the world. I can always rebuild. It's going to be hard, but it can be done."

The rangers nodded as they turned to Drake. Drake nodded as he walked over toward him, "Once this is over, we will be more than happy to help you rebuild what you lost. But, right now, I need you to help me stop Ferro Fett."

Thomas nodded as he stretched out his hand. Drake nodded as he shook hands with him. Thomas grinned happily as he turned to the other rangers. The other seven rangers placed their hands in the center. The rangers gained a new ranger and friend, despite all of what he put them through. Ferro Fett has no idea what the rangers have coming toward him.

Next Chapter…

Poké Rangers Dino Charge Chapter 20: The Mighty Monferno

A/N: So, now there are 8 rangers! Yes, you heard it! 8 rangers! We are going to take a little break from story arcs as we have fun next chapter. But, I hope you are ready for next week. It's going to be a lot of fun trying to see what we can do with this.

Next chapter update, which will be hopefully on Friday... I will finally (yes, finally you can all say it now...) have the theme song to put into chapters. And yeah, it's going to be a great time. I know I have other projects I need to work on too, but I know this is the project I would like to finish before we talk about next season, which reminds me...

Poké Rangers Sinnoh Season 2 Announcement Coming Saturday, October 28th (October 27th if you are on the discord).

I will still be drafting the rest of Season 1 over the next couple of weeks. I am working on Chapters 27 through 31, which should've been done already. But, by Thanksgiving, we will already be halfway of Season 1. I will be hosting a new Google Form on November 3rd for Ranger Submissions and they will run all the way into Thanksgiving.

Alright, that is all! Have a great week!
