Love Confession
He found himself lost within the glass of the aquarium, where the goldfish danced like sunflower petals. Their scales were ablaze with vivid yellows and oranges. A gentle hum escaped his lips as he lightly tapped his finger into the aquarium's glass. It seemed like he was trying to communicate with the little goldfish.
The light from the aquarium beaming on his face gives a solitary atmosphere to his presence. His brain rewound the sweetest memory, trying to recall someone who gave him that goldfish.
His lips curled into a slight smile, remembering an unforgettable memory that tied up between him and someone who gave him that goldfish.
He gently turned his head as he heard the doors being pushed. His attention was torn between the door and the aquarium, but he immediately welcomed you with warmth.
"Need a hand?" he offered.
"Oh… thank you. Just… make sure that you won't eat these documents, hehe."
He chuckled teasingly. "Of course, I won't. Why would I do that to my dear employee?"
A blush warms your cheeks, and your heart beats fast whenever your ears hear dear words from his lips. You secretly loved those words because they were the cutest thing he would say to you. How could you tell? He says that with a calm and soothing voice, you can't resist him.
You clenched your trembling palm tightly, trying to conceal your shyness. "Brad still struggles to write his reports," you stated. "I hope it won't stop you from signing these documents, Captain Wesker."
He prolonged eye contact. "Well… it's my fault. Because I force him to write his reports with good handwriting before he gives these documents to me."
You knew very well that Brad's handwriting was so bad compared to Chris', and it made you hate him because every time he wrote his reports, Albert would yell from his office and make the entire S.T.A.R.S. office turn into a dark cave. He's so strict and boring compared to Enrico. But sometimes he gets kinder whenever you are alone with him. It seems like he can switch his personality.
Your attention drifts into the aquarium with a fond smile on your lips as you approach the aquarium. "You still have those goldfish? Ah, you're so nice!"
He giggled, placing a document on the table and following your gaze. "Eh? Of course, I still keep them. Because you gave me those goldfish on my birthday."
"Ah! Sorry, Captain. I don't mean to give you a goldfish; it just slipped my mind. You know… I don't know much about your preference!"
He approached you, trying to follow your shadow. As he gets closer, your shoulder touches his, making your heart beat so fast.
He's so close. Too close that you could smell the scent of his cologne hanging in your nostrils.
He says it in a soft tone. "How about," he mused, trying to search your expression. "…how about I give you a chance to get to know me? How does that sound?"
You turned to face him, curiosity stirring in your mind. "Oh? You want me to write an autobiography about my dear captain?"
He shook his head and removed his sunglasses, perching them atop his blond hair. "No… Not an autobiography, my dear. Instead," he began, his voice carrying a whimsical note, "it's deeper than that; how about we became a couple so you would know better about me?"
Your eyebrows arched In disbelief. "What? Is this some sort of joke?"
His laughter rang through the room as he stared at you with a soft smile. "It isn't a joke, my dear. I love you. Will you be mine?"
