Overcoming My Insanity

Chapter 11 is my new chapter. Not chapter 16!

Thank you to user Katdog161! This is a sequel to "Heal My Insanity" by Katdog161

BTW: I have ADHD, which means that my writing will occasionally have minor typos. like "were" instead of "where". I do my best to catch these typos, but to my own eyes, they don't stick out like they do to most readers. You shouldn't have trouble understanding the plot and story just because of my ADHD typos. Also sometimes I accidentally press the wrong letter key which gives weird typos like "ne" instead of "me" or "sone" instead of "some". Just an annoying quirk of mine.

Read Katdog161 story first, as it is background material for this story.

This story is perfect for those fans of Far Cry 3, who wished that the characters would have had more personality, background, and screen time. Especially the characters Jason, Daisy, and Liza. Since the game's cutscenes and story scenes were not as long or detailed as future games like Red Dead Redemption 2 or Mafia Definitive Edition, I have taken on the task of adding more personality and lore to certain characters. Many will find this story to be either slow or dragged out. A lot of this story will be not very entertaining. The goal of the first half of this story is to expand on the relationships, personalities, traits, and lore of Jason and Daisy, and Liza to a lesser extent, since not much information about them was given to us by playing the game.

I hope that those reading this first chapter will continue on reading the other chapters. I am hoping to have the combination of Katdog161 story and my story, be the ultimate post-game story for Jason and Far Cry 3.

Remember! Chapters that don't have (updated) next to the title, are my OLD versions of those chapters, and are in a DIFFERENT continuity to these UPDATED chapters. So DON'T read them if you want my story to make sense and not have references to things that you didn't read in previous chapters. The only reason that I have not deleted those chapters, I because I want to have them up so that I can decide on the changes that will be made. I know that I can simply just export the chapter into a word document, but I don't want to do that LOL!

This story will told from Jason's third person POV (point of view) and I don't write from a narrator's POV or fourth-wall breaking. A few Chapters will be told from Daisy's POV.

Mature Content in this story. Language, Violence in flashbacks/memories and later on, sexuality, and taboo/uncomfortable topics.

Sex scenes will not be present in most chapters. My goal is to not turn this fanfic into mindless porn and smut. And when I include intimate/sex scenes, it is my intention to have it be tasteful and romantic and not come across as some porn fantasy without any human intimacy.

Jason's thoughts and conscious/subconscious will be written in italics.

This story starts two years after Far Cry 3 ends. I believe that Far Cry 3 is set in the year 2012 or early 2013, so there are references to things and technology that was prevalent during that time period. It makes sense for me to choose a specific year for when the game takes place. So I have chosen 2012 as the year in which Far Cry 3 is set in. I was almost eighteen years old when Far Cry 3 came out, so I remember the world back then. And for those extremely detailed fans, you may have noticed that I have changed the ages of some of the characters, reducing their ages by only a year. I believe that in the game, Jason was 25 and Daisy was 26. but I have chosen to make Jason 24 and Daisy 25 during the game. Just to give them a tiny bit of extra youth LOL! This story will be about Jason's life after Far Cry 3 ended and how his mind has been permanently altered by the killing, violence, relationship problems, Citra, and his brother's (Grant) murder. But you as you will come to find, Jason is mostly functional and does not suffer from major PTSD or panic attacks after two years. And some readers might find this story slow and not an a thrill ride up until their return to the Rook Islands. We already got a lot of action and adventure in the game as well as in Katdog161's story.

This won't be an action packed story like how the Far Cry games are always action packed, but I hope that you can appreciate the drama, romance, human psychological elements, and a deep dive into the characters lives, their backstories, their thoughts and opinions, and their lives after Far Cry 3 had ended. At the start of this story, Jason is living in sunny Santa Monica California, so there aren't a lot of pirates or an active war zone for Jason to be fighting in. So mundane life is the new norm for Jason.

But for those that love action, there will be John Wick style action/gunfights in the upcoming chapters after the one titled "I Love You". Particularly a scene where Jason has to fight some guys in a nightclub, just like in the first John Wick. That chapter will be an homage to the single greatest action movie franchise in the history of the entire universe. And I will also likely have more action after that chapter as well. But you will have to wait until I get the updates finished and the continuity all caught up. But I am making fast progress, as I started these rewrites in March of 2023, and just look at how much I've rewriten in that time!

Here is the general timeline of "Heal My Insanity" and "Overcoming My Insanity"

(And I kind of retcon Katdog161 final chapter, in terms of the timeline.)

(Not that big of a change)

The events of Far Cry 3 and Katdog161 story (excluding Epilouge chapter) take place over two and a half months.

Jason/Companions returned to America two years before My story. starts.

Jason moves in with Daisy at her house one month after returning to America.

Jason/Daisy romance starts two weeks after he had moved in to live with her.

NOW THE STORY...

Chapter 1: {About Last Night} (updated)

-Two Years After The Rook Islands-

(The Year Is 2014)

(Current Time)

"I can't believe that I did that to Daisy." Jason said to Liza, as he looked down at the cup of coffee in his hands. "I… I'm… I'm a monster."

Jason stared down at his coffee, watching the steam rise, waiting for Liza to say something… to say anything at all.

She's speechless, at a loss of words.

How else is someone supposed to respond to a story like that?

"Jason…" she started to say.

Then, she leaned forward and placed her right hand on top of Jason's left hand. She wasn't disturbed or made uncomfortable by his missing finger anymore.

After the momentary silence Liza began again. "Jason… you are not a monster."

She continued. "I know how much you love her. And I'm sure that she forgives you. It was only a freak accident."

Jason lifted his eyes up from his staring at his clinched hands on his coffee, to look up at Liza. Liza had been looking him in the eyes.

When Jason's eyes met Liza's, he abruptly pulled his coffee and hands holding it away from Liza's hand and into his chest.

He then started to recline back in his chair. Liza also withdrew her arm from the table and proceeded to lean back in her chair and folded her arms across her chest.

"I am Liza, I am a monster. How can you tell me that I'm not after what I just told you? These dreams are just feel so real that I'm afraid that soon I'll not even be able to tell what's real or just a dream anymore." He explained.

Jason turned his head to the left and looked out the coffee shop's window, at the sandy white beach of Santa Monica.

It was early in the day. Eight in the morning.

Santa Monica was full of tourists and vacationers this time of year, it was summer after all. There are gift shops and kiosks everywhere, luring in visitors to buy souvenirs and cheap sunglasses.

Many of the locals of Santa Monica avoided the part of town close to the beach this time of year because it was always overcrowded with tourists.

But not Jason and Liza.

They loved this local coffee shop. They had first met each other here years ago. The day they met, Jason was in line behind the hot brunette. He'd chosen to be very bold and offered to buy Liza's cup of coffee. The two hit it off that day as they both sat together at the same table, laughing and talking for about an hour.

Back when they were dating, they would spend lots of time here talking and laughing together. Just like they did the first day that they'd met.

Jason had imagined Liza as his forever girl.

At least until he'd met Daisy.

Before Jason and his group of friends departed on their vacation to southeast Asia, Liza had been pursuing her goal of becoming a successful Hollywood actress.

She had only starred in a handful of minor television roles where she had very few lines. Additionally, Liza played some minor characters with limited screen time in low budget movies. Usually cheesy horror flicks with gratuitous violence and scenes with topless women who for some reason were always ridiculously sex hungry, even though they had a serial killer chasing them. Fortunately for her, Liza hadn't been given a role where she had to be nude. She had mentioned to Jason once that she'll never take her clothes off just to keep a role.

Jason thought she had a great body for a topless scene. About two months into dating each other, Liza and Jason began having sex which meant that Jason had seen Liza's nude body. And Jason was somewhat surprised at how much larger Liza's boobs looked when they weren't being held down under her bra and top.

When they were dating, Jason once had teased her by saying "you sure you don't want to do a topless scene? It's not like you'd be the star. You're tits will be."

And back then she responded by giving Jason a fake laugh before punching him in the shoulder. Which she followed up on by giving him a quick kiss on the lips.

But she wanted to breakout of her typecast role as a diminutive scream queen into an A-lister. And a chance presented itself. She was offered a role in an upcoming big budget Hollywood action film that was part of a larger series of films all talking place in the same universe. She wasn't going to be a main character, only a side character. But having any role in a blockbuster was an important stepping stone in her career.

Unfortunately she had missed that day of filming due to the delay from being captured by pirates.

It might have been the invisible hand of destiny pulling the strings since she completely gave up on continuing her fledgling acting career.

I guess becoming a real life scream queen when she was being held in captivity caused her to realize that there's more to life than fame.

When Jason entered the cave to rescue Liza, Vaas had set up a video projector that played a recorded loop of him taunting and mocking Liza.

That must have soured her disposition towards acting. It's hard to play the role of the damsel in distress when you've actually played it out in real life.

After Jason broke up with Liza and began dating Daisy, Liza wanted nothing to do with Jason. Eventually, after the hostility between the two of them dissolved away, they became friends again and repaired their relationship. Liza soon became Jason's best friend and the only person other than Daisy that he can confide in.

Daisy had oddly been the one to reach out to Liza. And being the kind and caring soul that she was, Liza eventually allowed herself to sit down with Jason one day and let him explain himself.

And on that one day, after Jason apologized to her and told her how much he still cared for her, Liza forgave him. So the two restarted their friendly relationship.

But their genuine friendly feelings towards one another took a few more weeks until it became true and organic.

And it seemed, at least to Jason, that Liza really did enjoy spending some of her free time talking with Jason. It almost was hard to remember a time when the two had been at odds and hated each other as he felt like they were on better terms than when they'd been a couple.

To Jason, Liza had transformed from an angry ex-girlfriend to his best friend. She was like a cool older sister to him now. Someone who is both good at listening and giving advice.

After all, it was her nature to always try and mediate problems into solutions. She'd been part of the UCLA college's student committee and debate team.

How is it even possible that Liza has such a pure soul?

She is the daughter of a abusive piece of shit father.

An alcoholic physically and verbally abusive motherfucker.

Jason never liked him.

Although he hadn't laid a finger on Liza in several years since she didn't live at home anymore.

Liza's younger brother was only eighteen and was still in high school so he lived with at home with Liza's parents.

But Liza had told Jason before that her brother was hardly ever on the receiving end of her father's fury.

He expelled all his anger on Liza.

Jason had only ever met him once. But even in that limited interaction, he could sense the tension between his daughter and himself.

And Liza had such a kind and caring soul, so Jason knew that she never did anything to deserve such treatment from her own dad. She was only ever abused for one simple reason.

He was just a pure piece of shit.

But none of his bad qualities had rubbed off on her.

If angels ever existed, Liza is definitely one of them.

Except without the wings.

Jason quickly looked up to look into Liza's eyes.

She wasn't looking at him. Just looking out the window. Probably waiting for Jason to stop beating around the bush and get down to brass tacks. To tell her everything that happened.

Jason still found her to be a beautiful woman, both for her looks and her huge heart.

But he definitely didn't want to bang her. Not because the idea of sex with Liza sounded unpleasant.

No. That's not why.

Liza had always looked beautiful to Jason every time he had had sex with her. But when Jason would lick her clitoris, she could get incredibly loud. Which always increased his arousal to peak levels.

But Liza didn't always moan quite as loud as she did when Jason licked her pussy as she did when Jason's erection would thrust inside her pussy.

However, several times she did get crazy loud as she moaned during sex, and occasionally it was so impressive, that it aroused Jason to such a degree that it almost caused him to prematurely ejaculate on a few occasions. And twice, he filled his condom with cum way to early and in under two minutes when he ejaculated prematurely due to his increased arousal from Liza's hot and sexy moaning that proved debilitating to Jason's stamina.

This sweet and soft spoken lady isn't who you really are when it comes to fucking, is it?

No, you're loud enough to wake the whole city.

But this isn't why he had lost all sexual attraction to Liza.

It's because every time he looked at her, he only saw a friend and nothing else.

I guess once the two of us realized that we didn't have any secrets, romance, or reason to be artificial versions of ourselves, there wasn't anymore reason for animosity.

Plus we've already experienced the worst that this world has to offer, so we could both put the important things into perspective.

He didn't love Liza anymore. At least as a romantic partner. His feelings for her were never as strong as they are for Daisy. But the two rekindled their relationship. Not as boyfriend and girlfriend, best as friends. And Jason hoped that they would always be the best of friends.

That one day two years ago on the boat, as he held Daisy's hand, he told Liza that he was done with her. She was furious with Jason because he was leaving her for Daisy, his dead brother's girlfriend.

The way I treated you.

How I never told you that I'd fallen in love with Daisy at the same time we were dating.

I was too much of a coward to tell you the truth.

I never deserved for you to forgive me.

Often, Jason wondered what Liza and Daisy's mutual friends thought of the bizarre and fucked up three way relationship that the three of them had for each other. He never had the gumption to ask either one of the ladies about this.

Not that he would care what other people think about him. But he hated the idea of someone spreading rumors about Daisy and Liza.

Jason can trust Liza enough to tell his darkest thoughts and nightmares to, and it gives him some relief from his psychological pain and turmoil.

Liza would never look at him like he was a monster. He could talk to her comfortably and without putting up a façade of fakeness. No matter what the horrible experience was that happened to him on the islands, or how insane of a dream he had, Liza would understand.

He knows that Daisy knows that both Jason and Liza don't have any lingering romantic feelings towards each other and that their relationship is purely platonic. Jason is thankful that Liza is someone else other than Daisy, that he still talks to.

There is no reason to avoid talking about the elephant in the room when it comes to the fact that the two of them used to date, fuck, and love each other. Because all their dirty laundry is already out in the open.

Once Jason was back living in sunny Santa Monica, he became the textbook definition of a recluse. Antisocial behavior was the norm for him. He never interacted with any of his old friends other than Liza.

Even though he didn't every interact with any of them, he still heard from Liza every now and again what they were up to in their lives.

He did talk to his little brother Riley on rare occasions.

Riley had joined the air force. He already had his pilot's license so he didn't need to learn that, but he did have to qualify in basic training. He was following in the footsteps of Grant by joining the military.

Oliver was still a pothead.

And Keith, in a strange turn of events, decided to join the church. That made some sense to Jason. After the experiencing the unspeakable things that Buck did to him, enveloping oneself in religion seemed to be as good a coping mechanism as any.

Keith had met a tall good looking redhead who was involved in missionary work in third world nations. Keith and the woman dated and even got married. And out of everyone in the group that had been with Jason, Keith seemed to be the only one that really seemed to have moved on with his life and put the past trauma in the rear view mirror.

Well good for you Keith.

If it's working for you, then more power to you.

Jason wasn't religious in any regard. Not to say that he was a strict atheist. Not at all. He'd personally observed seeming otherworldly and supernatural things on the Rook Islands that couldn't be rationally explained by any known science.

If there is a God…

Then he can go fuck himself.

His reluctance to talk to his mother was especially abhorrent. She had lost her oldest son Grant and her second son was avoiding her like the plague.

Every other day she would give Jason a call on his phone. Because naturally a mother as loving as Jason's mom would want to hear from her son every now and again. But Jason would rarely answer.

Occasionally Jason's mother would even resort to calling up Daisy's phone just to get any update on how her crazy son was doing. Daisy would always answer. The two of them were on good terms with one another.

And something that annoyed him was that Daisy is such an honest an straightforward type of girl, that she wouldn't even give Jason's mother a made up excuse for why her son wasn't answering his phone.

Jason often thought. "Daisy I love you, but could please tell my mom a little white lie every now and then?"

At least mom and Daisy get along.

Every blue moon when Jason would answer his mother's phone calls, she would ask how Daisy was doing.

When mom first found that I was "with" Daisy, she was surprised more than anything.

But she never treated our love as taboo.

His mother even once said. "Grant is grateful that you're there to take care of Daisy. She's a good young woman."

I hope you're right mom.

I hope that someday we meet again.

Jason had co-workers. But he always kept them at arms length, never letting them get to really know him. Jason believed that he could still sound normal around other people.

"I'm sure that Daisy forgives you. You know how much she loves you." Liza said.

Jason turned his head away from the window and returned to face Liza.

"I know that she forgives me." Jason said. "I know that she understands… that she understands me. That she knows everything about me, and everything that I've… that we've been through."

Of course Daisy understands.

No woman could ever love a lunatic like yourself unless they understood you.

Jason continued. "Daisy knows that I dream about what happened to me back on the islands. I don't always have dreams. Most nights I never have them, and those nights I will just sleep peacefully throughout the whole night and wake up the next morning feeling fine."

Jason stopped to take a long and slow sip of his coffee, which had cooled down to room temperature by now.

"But Liza… those nights when I do dream, the dreams that I have feel so real. It feels like I'm actually there, like I'm really doing the things that I see myself doing." Jason said.

Liza lifted the cup to her mouth to have a sip of coffee.

"You're clearly upset about what happened." Liza said. "You can tell me what happened."

Jason looked down at his own coffee. He'd lost his desire to finish it off.

He finally spoke up. "Liza, this was the first time that one of my dreams became real."

(Flashback to last night)

~Jason's Dream~

Jason was chasing Vaas through the jungle during the night.

The pirate king had a semi auto pistol and would periodically turn the gun on Jason and blindly shoot randomly behind him. None of the rounds ever hit him as it seemed Jason had an aura of invincibility.

"I killed your brother Jason!" Vaas taunted.

"I fucking killed him, and now I'm going to kill the rest of your friends! They're fucked Jason, they're fucked! I'm going to kill them all, right in front of your eyes!" Vaas continued.

Jason felt like he was catching up to his antagonist.

"God-fucking-dammit! You made me run out of bullets Jason!" Vaas said.

Vaas continued. "But not that sexy little blonde. Fuck no! I'm going to keep her for myself. She will be my little plaything. Once I capture you again, I'm giving you tickets to the best seat in the house!"

Jason was almost within arm's reach… almost.

"You will be living the rest of your life in a cage and the only entertainment you'll have is watching me and my men fuck that blonde!" Vaas shouted.

Jason increased his speed.

"I let all of my men have their fun with her, after I've had mine. How will that feel Jason? How will it feel being only a few feet from Daisy, and not being able to save her? Don't worry, I going to make sure that this fucking nightmare never ends!" Said Vaas.

Jason never stopped running after him. He couldn't let that happen to his friends. He couldn't let Vaas hurt Daisy… he couldn't let Vaas hurt his Daisy.

But just as he was about to come into arms reach of Vaas, Jason tripped over a thick tree root. Falling face first onto the damp jungle floor.

Vaas must have heard Jason slam into the ground. He stopped running and turned around to taunt Jason some more.

"You're a good sport Jason Brody! Thanks for giving me time to reload." Vaas cackled.

Grunting, Jason forced himself up onto his hands and knees.

Jason was too close to give up now. And he began to climb up off the ground.

Vaas simultaneously pressed the magazine release and snapped the pistol sideways which flung the empty magazine out of the gun and into the abyss of jungle foliage.

"Goddammit! Get in there!" Vaas said as he struggled to pull a new magazine out of his cargo pants pocket.

Falling to the ground knocked the wind out of Jason. But he only had to think about Daisy's wellbeing and it was enough for him to regain his willpower.

"Ha-ha! Got something for you Jason." Vaas had reloaded his pistol and pressed the slide release to chamber the first round.

But Jason, with acrobatic finesse, used his left forearm to knock the gun out of Vaas's hand before he could sweep the muzzle in line with Jason's face. Jason's ear's rang momentarily as Vaas managed to fire of a single round, a round that narrowly missed Jason's face. Out of his peripheral vision Jason could see the bright muzzle blast, which in the darkness of the night, would have been most certainly blinding to him if he'd seen it directly.

"Fuck you!" Jason's right fist collided with Vaas's jaw.

But Vaas retaliated by blocking Jason's incoming left hook with his own right hand. Vaas then head-butted Jason square in the face. With Jason thrown off guard, Vaas used his right foot to kick Jason in the stomach.

This knocked him flat on his back.

And in an instant, Vaas was on top of Jason where he began furiously punching him in the face.

"Oh… you like it rough don't you Jason?!" Vaas asked in a taunting voice. "I bet you do! I know you do! Because you're insane, motherfucker! As fucking insane as me!"

Vaas continued slamming his fists into Jason's bloody face, all the while cackling like a maniac. Jason struggled to muster the strength to force Vaas off him.

"Come on, Jason." Vaas taunted. "Just fucking give up!"

Jason could feel himself blacking out. He could feel himself giving up. His willpower was wasting away.

Vaas continued to laugh manically.

I can't let him hurt Daisy… I can't… I won't… I won't!

Jason had felt a sudden surge of anger course through his body.

His strength having returned to him, he quickly shot out his right hand up in the air to intercept Vaas's left fist before it reached his face. Jason twisted Vaas's arm so violently that it forced him to let out a shout of pain. He was confident that he had at the least dislocated Vaas's wrist.

Having seized the moment, Jason then threw the psychopath off him. Vaas rolled over to the side of Jason.

Jason then let his renewed vigor take control of his body. Jason was then back up on his feet and stood upright and ready face off with Vaas.

Vaas was halfway to his feet already.

Jason wondered how Vaas was able to recover himself so fast, when just seconds before he was rolling on the ground and clutching his injured wrist.

He looked Jason in the eyes. "What are you waiting for motherfucker? Come kill me!"

That's when he rushed towards Vaas and smashed into him, throwing him backwards until he collided up against a tree.

Jason wrapped both his hands around Vaas's neck. He gripped Jason's wrists and attempted to wrench himself free. It was a futile action.

Jason never loosened his hands, never stopped crushing his throat. Jason wouldn't stop until he saw the pirate's face turn blue.

He wouldn't stop, couldn't stop…

/

Jason awoke from his nightmare. As soon as he did, his eyes opened wide in horror at what he beheld in front of him.

It was Daisy.

Jason was on top of Daisy.

Her frightened eyes looking up at him. Jason had his hands around her small neck. He was acting out his dream… he had turned his nightmare into a reality.

"Oh my God!" Jason shouted. "Daisy!"

Jason took his hands away from Daisy's neck. "Daisy? Daisy? Are you okay? Daisy?!"

Jason picked himself up off Daisy and out of their bed. He hastily ran over to the right side of the bed where Daisy sleeps. Daisy had raised herself up to lean her back against the bedframe, at the same time she was gasping for air.

"Jason…" Daisy said weakly. "Jason I… (cough), (cough)." Her attempt to speak caused Daisy to have a fit of coughing.

Jason couldn't ever have ever felt worse than he did at this moment.

"Daisy… I… I'm so sorry. I didn't know what I was doing. I… I… was dreaming… and… my dream… my dream was…" Jason tried to continue but was at a loss of words.

Speechless, Jason got down on his knees and lowered his head. He couldn't bring himself to look at Daisy, to look at her face.

Instead, he gently reached out his right hand to place it on Daisy's knee.

Jason left his hand on top of the thin white bedsheet covering Daisy's legs

With his head held down in sorrow, Jason began to feel tears slide down his face.

Several drops hit the floor beneath him and he watched as they were slowly absorbed into the carpeting.

Daisy finally broke the moment of silence.

"Jason." she began, having regained her voice. "I'm alright, I'm okay. You weren't doing it for that long. Next morning, I probably won't even have a bruise."

Daisy tenderly took hold of Jason's face with her soft hands.

She said. "You were having a nightmare, I know that you were having a nightmare. Your dream must have felt real, that's why you acted out. But it was only a bad dream Jason, just a dream. It wasn't real."

Jason kept his head down, he just couldn't look up. Unable to withstand the pain of seeing Daisy's face after what he did, he left his gaze down at the floor.

"It's never happened before. And I'm sure that you won't ever do it again. And it's okay. Please come back to bed with me." She said in a quite voice.

Jason gritted his teeth. "No… it isn't okay."

"Jason… please look at me." Daisy said, her voice was so calm.

Jason turned his head to the side thus causing Daisy's hand to slip off his face. He then took his hand off her knee and used it to brush away the remaining tears on his face. After brushing the tears away, he finally lifted his head up. Daisy had leaned forward her slim figure, closer to Jason.

The bedsheet had fallen away from her chest and leaving her bare breasts exposed.

She is so beautiful. I love her so much… I love her so much and yet I hurt her.

You don't strangle the woman you love.

Daisy's eyes were fixed on his.

"Jason listen to me." She switched to a slightly sterner tone than she was using earlier. "It was just a nightmare. I know you didn't mean to do that to me. Your dream must have just felt so real, that you began to let your subconscious take over. You couldn't see the difference between your dream and reality."

Jason stayed silent.

But the Daisy asked the million dollar question. "Was it Vaas?"

Jason had to respond.

"Yes." He responded. "He said that he was going to hurt you. I had to stop him. I had to kill him. I had to. Had too… had too."

"Jason, listen to me." Daisy didn't sugarcoat what she told him. "Vaas isn't ever going to hurt me or you or anyone else ever again. He's dead. You killed him, you had to stop him. And it was the right thing to do."

"You- you're right." He said, stammering while he brought his mind back to reality.

"I am right." She said with reinforced emphasis. "We're back home. All of us are safe and sound. And you are here, you're here, here with me. That is the truth."

Daisy pulled Jason's head into her chest and embraced him. Jason was still very distraught over his actions. He then clinched his hands into fists as his body began to shake in a subtle manner.

That's when Daisy pulled Jason's head to her chest. Jason left ear laid between Daisy's breasts.

Her heart thumped into his ear. The sound of her steady and regular heartbeat proved to Jason that she was calm.

The blonde beauty didn't have huge boobs. Jason was never attracted to pornstar like gigantic tits or huge asses. Not that Jason was opposed to those features on a woman, sometimes he had been attracted to women with those enormous bodily features.

But Jason had dated about a dozen girls and women over his lifetime, all having a variety of body shapes and profiles.

Daisy however, was sexy in an entirely different way. And Jason wouldn't have been turned off by her if she had been more curvy, shorter, taller, had bigger boobs or a bigger butt, or anything else like that.

It was... just... Daisy that he was obsessively in love with.

Jason never asked her about what her cup size was. Why the hell would he? But he assumed They were probably large A cup, possibly even a B cup. But the ones that she had fit her body's slim figure well.

Jason wasn't shallow enough to care about such things.

Her slender body lent itself well to her love for swimming. She stood at five foot seven when she was barefooted. But her slender yet somewhat supple frame made her look taller than she actually was.

And Daisy had a very unique appearance. At least compared to other white European/Americans.

Her mother's parents had immigrated to America in the years following WWII Which had devastated parts of Finland. They hailed from northeastern Finland and left for the United States of America when they were in their early twenties. Daisy's grandparents had learned basic English at their university in Helsinki. Speaking the language an a daily basis, their English had improved greatly. They had given birth to Daisy's mother in America a little after a year of their residence in the U.S.A.

Daisy had once mentioned to Jason that she'd learned a bit of history about Finland when she was a kid. Daisy and himself had been discussing each of their own family's heritage one day and Daisy told Jason that even though the Finnish people don't speak an Indo-European language, they are still pretty much considered to be "Europeans" by their fellow Europeans. Daisy explained that over the hundreds if not thousands of years, the Finns intermixed with the Swedish people of typical European/Germanic stock, thus explaining why the Finnish people of today don't look "Asiatic" or "Eurasian" like their Uralic cousins in Siberia.

After he'd met Daisy's parents, he could see the strong resemblance with her mother. Daisy was the spitting image of her mother.

Which explains why Jason thinks that Daisy looks exactly like one of the Finnish female ice skaters that he watched on the TV during the 2012 Olympics.

Jason can remember watching the Olympics on television with his then girlfriend Liza, and asking her "don't you think that this ice skating chick looks just like Daisy?"

"I'm alright." Daisy said trying to comfort Jason. "I'm alright, I'm okay, I'm okay. I love you Jason."

"I love you too." He said.

I'll always love you, always, until my last day, I will love you Daisy.

"Okay Jason? Will you please come back to bed?" Daisy whispered.

Jason turned his head so that his face was between her breasts.

He exhaled. "Okay"

"Thank you." She said.

Jason stood up and walked around the bed to his side. Daisy reached out her right arm, signifying to him that she desired him to cuddle up close with her.

He did as she wished. Crawling up close beside her naked body.

They'd been sleeping nude. After their intense lovemaking session, they were too exhausted to bother with putting back on their t-shirts and flannel pajama pants.

Daisy of course had to got to her bathroom and clean Jason's semen out of her pussy, but once she hopped back beside Jason in bed, the two immediately passed out dead as a door nail.

Until Jason's outburst woke them up.

Daisy put her head on Jason's chest. She traced the exterior of his body, running the fingers on her right hand across the myriad of scars that Jason's body carried.

"Just try and get some sleep mister. You don't want me loose anymore of my beauty sleep." Daisy said.

"You don't need beauty sleep." Jason kissed the top of her head. "But you do need sleep."

"Hmm… you're a riot aren't you?" Daisy sounded half asleep. But still awake enough to make a witty comment.

As she laid in the wing of his right arm, Jason intentionally brushed Daisy's nipples with his right hand. He wasn't trying to entice her with sex right then and there, he just loved touching her soft body.

Daisy momentarily purred sweetly when he touched her sweet and sensitive nipples but she soon quickly drifted off to sleep.

But Jason didn't go back to sleep as quickly as she did. His mind was still racing.

He then got to wondering about how things could be now if he'd chosen a different path.

What if I had chosen to stay with Citra?

Was I really destined to be her warrior?

Why did she want me to be her chosen?

What were her intentions for the islands once the Rakyat had one?

Or was my life with Daisy always meant to be?

If I was really meant to stay behind with Citra, why does the world feel so perfect when I hold Daisy in my arms?

I need to know.

For the sake of both Daisy and myself.

Jason held on to Daisy throughout the duration of the night. He needed Daisy. She was the treatment to his insanity. He imagined that if Daisy wasn't with him, he would become the warrior that Citra had created.

Warrior… or monster?

He wondered about the 'magic' that he'd experienced back on the islands. It had to of been real. He couldn't explain the things that he had witnessed and the abilities that he had without magic being the explanation.

But it was too late into the night to ponder such things.

But he believed that he was sure about one thing.

I'm a monster.

I was a monster on the pirate ship.

Jason had a fleeting notion to tell Daisy the dark truth about what really happened that day before she feel back to sleep. But he quickly scrapped the idea and understood that it wasn't the right time for it.

She had already fallen asleep in his embrace.

And the silly sounding snoring that Daisy made as she slept, always brought a smile to Jason's face.

Such cute little noises that come from her nose.

But then Jason rethought and reconsidered telling Daisy the truth after they woke up the next morning.

I don't want to keep holding onto this sick and dark secret.

It's tearing me up.

Just need to find the courage.

I want to tell you…

But I also don't want to tell you, because I'm afraid that if I tell you, our relationship will be over.

I have to tell you the truth about that day the pirates held me at gunpoint and told me to rape you or we'd be killed.

The way it made me feel in that moment…

No… not tonight, and not tomorrow.

But soon.

I have to.

(Back to Current Time)

After talking about miscellaneous things going on in their lives, they decided that it was time for both of them to hit the road.

It was still early in the morning, but Liza had to get to work soon.

They had gotten up from their seats and hugged each other.

Look at us.

The best of friends.

And I mean that sincerely.

I love you Liza.

"Tell Menelik I said "hey" will you?" Jason continued hugging her. The scent of Liza's hair was both minty and fruity due to the shampoo she used.

Liza responded. "Will do. Tell Daisy that I want the four of us to meet up soon. Menelik's birthday is next Friday. We aren't planning on doing anything, but we'd like for you guys to maybe come visit for a bit and have a few drinks."

Menelik was Liza's boyfriend. A tall and ruggedly handsome man who was born in Ethiopia. Immigrated to America with his parents when he was ten years old.

The two met at the law firm where Liza works as a paralegal, and Menelik as an attorney. The first member of his African family to graduate from a university. And they've been dating for over a year now. And Jason couldn't be happier for her.

Menelik may be the only person other than Liza that Jason's met who has as pure a heart as Liza. He knows Liza and Jason's history, that they used to date. But Jason's never given him a reason to distrust Liza around him. Ain't nothing going on behind the scenes.

The only secret that he doesn't know is that Jason is the real hero that saved everyone on the Rook Islands.

Jason and everyone who was with him are still sticking to the story that Grant was the one who saved them from the pirates. It is more believable, he was a sergeant in the army who'd been in combat. So it wasn't hard to imagine him being the knight in shining armor who rescued his brothers and friends.

So Jason wanted him to remembered as a hero, giving his death a greater meaning.

They let go of each other. Liza slung her purse over her shoulder.

"Unfortunately I have to work that day until nine at night, but I will try to If Daisy is still up to coming over. I'm hoping that won't be too late?" Jason pick up his now cold cup of coffee off the table and threw it away into the decorative garbage can.

"No. We will still be up, after all, we're always off on the weekends." Liza confirmed.

"Okay… we'll see you guys then." Jason responded.

Jason held the door open for Liza and the two then parted ways.

He was off work today. So that meant that he only had to occupy himself and wait around until Daisy gets off work.

I can't wait until I see you again.

Even a few hours feels like an eternity.

But the wait is always well worth it.

Review if you like. Hope you favorite and follow.

(You can skip this if you wish)

(Continued description, long but necessary)

Had to move 2nd half of the description to the bottom after the chapter so that it wouldn't be such and EYE SORE!

My 3 year hiatus that I took during March 2020 is over!

If you have email notifications on, when it says new chapter, it will redirect you to a dead link or redirect to the last chapter in the chapter order, because it will not be a "new" chapter after the last one titled "I Love You" because I move the new chapter to the correct place in the chapter order. So just look for the (updated) next to the chapter's title, and remember the last one you read so that you make sure to read the new/rewriten chapter when an updated chapter is published.

(Thanks to user Katdog161 for giving me your blessing to use your work)

This will be a long story, longer than most Far Cry fanfics, but I am setting up a somewhat of a larger Far Cry fanfiction universe, but nothing like marvel or star wars level of worldbuilding. I am using Far Cry 3 and the amazing story of "Heal My Insanity" as background material for this story. This is my sequel to the user Katdog161 story "Heal My Insanity". That story isn't as long as this one, but is still a great read for us Far Cry 3 lovers. These two stories are part of my coined "Insanity Universe". Check out my profile for information about the Insanity universe. I will be adding worldbuilding to this story.

I consider "Heal My Insanity" by Katdog161, and THIS story to be CANON to Far Cry 3. Jason Brody was the only interesting protagonist of the Far Cry series so I wanted to continue his interesting character development. This fanfic is my attempt to expand on the story/campaign portion of Far Cry 3, and not so much the gameplay elements of action on violence.

Thanks for suffering through this info dump, But felt it necessary to explain all the context.

Thanks for reading my story is this relatively small fandom of Far Cry! And I hope you will review, follow/favorite, and continue reading to see how the story of Jason and Daisy ends!
