Chapter 1: The Trainer 'Wizard'
Let it be known; I do not own Fairy Tail nor Pokémon which fully belong to there rightful owners. The only thing I own is my OC and this stories plotline.

- Pokémon speech-
Pokémon: you know how the story about these mysterious creatures that live by our side go. How people decide to research them to unlock their mysteries or train them for battle/show cases. How children that set out on their journey when they reach the appropriate age; with dreams to become the 'very best'. But what if a trainer reaches that goal, that they have become THE very best? What then are they supposed to do with their life? One such trainer is asking himself that very question, and very soon he will be getting that answer.
It was early morning with the sun just finished rising in the sky to signal the start of the day. We see a cottage in a field close to a forest that had multiple different berry trees beside it. There were various Pokémon eating their breakfast in front of the cottage. Inside we see the hero of our story, talking to his mother on the phone.
"I'm just not sure mom." ? said with uncertainty.
"But it could be a great opportunity for you Jay." Jay's mother exclaimed in happiness.
This is Jason (or Jay to his friends and family) Nox. He has black hair and blue eyes. Height: 165 Weight: 55kg and has muscular toned body due to traveling and exercising with his Pokémon. Jay at the age 20 is a trainer that started his journey a decade ago and took the world by storm, some even calling him a prodigy. When he picked his starter (a Scorbunny that he nicknamed Striker) Jay made his way through the Galar region but didn't immediately take on the gym challenge like most beginning trainers do. Instead, he chose to see what his and the other regions held. Increase his teams' numbers and strength first before taking the challenges. During his travels Jay came across skilled trainers that were happy to pass their knowledge onto the fledgling trainer. Unfortunately, not all the people Jay meet were good; he came face to face with many criminal organizations with cruel and twisted goals throughout the regions.
"With your accomplishments it's no wonder why the league asked you to teach at there new prestige collage." Jay's mother said.
"I know, I know. It's just…" Jay trailed off.
"It's what honey?" his mother asked.
"If I take the offer, I'd feel I'm being stuck in one place." Jay revealed to his mom looking over to his mantle of trophies and awards.
Yes, Jay HAD made many accomplishments. In his travels he learned many things about Pokémon and himself. It wasn't just training he learned, Jay also took lessons about Pokémon health care and making medicine. As well gardening to make berries for said medicine. Through out his journey he gained many items. In the Kalos region Jay learned the true deep connection between human and Pokémon and gained the power of Mega Evolution. In Alola Jay underwent the regions trials, thus earning him the Z-Ring, which later became the Z-Power Ring due to the aid of the island guardians. Even in his home region of Galar he acquired a Dynamax Band allowing his team to Dynamax, some having the rare ability to Gigantamax. He even meet/helped Legendary and Mystic Pokémon from facing against and ending the organizations that wished to use their powers for themselves; some asking to join him as a part of his team afterwards. It was only after all this did Jay decide to take of the various gym and league challenges. By using all his skills and knowledge Jay claimed victory in all the challenges. Afterwards he would challenge the elite four and the champions across the regions. While he would win some, he would also lose as well.
"I understand sweety, you're still young and wish to see what is still out in the world for you." Jay's mom said.
"Yeah, there's also this feeling that something else is awaiting me." Jay said looking back to her.
"Well, whatever that feeling is or what you choose to do, I will always give you my full sport." his mother said while giving him a warm smile.
"Thanks mom. Love you." Jay smiled back before the call was ended.
Sighing, Jay walked out of his lodge to see his team/family. What he sees is some playing/chasing each other or relaxing in the sun/shade. Seeing his team having fun with each other makes Jay smile. Noticing him Stricker the now Cinderace comes up to his trainer.
"Cin?" Striker asks.
"Hey buddy, yeah mom's doing good and asking about the job. Did everyone finish eating?" Jay answer and questions his eldest/trusted Pokémon.
"Race!" Stricker nods with a smile.
During the years with his Pokémon team, Jay learned to understand them in a way. It took some time but was worth the effort.
"Good, (Jay takes a second to stretch) we'll wait a few minutes for it to settle then get to training." Jay says.
"Cinder." Striker nods.
While the two relaxed enjoying the day Jay looked over his family, remembering when and where he got them. When he began with Striker the first Pokémon and given the Dynamax Band he encountered and caught his first Pokémon, a male Rookidee that eventually evolved into Corviknight which Jay named Nighwing. Next was eeveevolution twins Volt the male Jolteon and Angel the shiny female Sylveon that he was given as eggs from some kind Daycare workers for helping them. While walking through a canyon, he meets a scientist that could combine fossils together. Having found some Jay gave them to the scientist, which resulted with him gaining Jaws the male Dracovish. During his journey Northwards, Jay caught Scala the female Duraludon and (which might have been his lucky day) a shiny female Snom that later turned into a Frosmoth named Frost. On his was back home Jay encountered a stranger who was looking for an Applin to give to a girl he had a crush on but was soon moving away. After finding and catching one for the guy he tried giving it to the girl but could not since he didn't catch it himself nor could she accept it. Surprisingly the girl would wait for him to give her an Applin he caught himself showing she had a crush on him as well. The man returned Applin to Jay and as thanks gave him a Sweet Apple allowing Applin to become AppleJack the female Appletun. Continuing his path, Jay arrived in his hometown and was heading home when he heard a commotion at the train station. Deciding to investigate Jay found out the problem was a Galarian Slowpoke. Figuring that just catching it was the easiest and fastest way Jay did so and named him Herb. Afterwards the conductor told him that Galarian Slowpokes can only evolve with an item that is found on the Isle of Armor or the Crown Tundra. Deciding on the warmer of the two, Jay took some transportation to the Isle where meet a girl that can make said evolution item, thus earning him a Galarian Slowbro. While exploring the island he meets a kind old man as well as a Pokémon by the name of Kubfu. The old man asked Jay to bond with Kubfu and train him a bit, which he agreed to. In the end not only did Kubfu evolve into Urshifu Rapid style, but he also wished to join Jay in his travels earning him the name Fuu. After his journey through out Galar Jay head to the other regions. Kanto region, where he adds Arc the male Arcanine, Tempest the male Areodactyl that he restored from an Old Ember and Sans the shiny male Gengar that he caught as a Gastly. Jay found someone who wanted to evolve their Machoke to a Machamp. Joto, he gains a female Gligar named Fang and after giving it a Razor Fang, becomes Gliscor. In Hoenn Jay gains Hime the shiny female Gardevoir and encounter the legendary Pokémon Latias that was being hunted by the criminal Organization Team Aqua to use her power. After Jay saved Latias she became attached to him and became a member being given the name Scarlet. Traveling to Sinnoh Jay added Garo the shiny male Luxray, Ruby the female Roserade and Venom the female Drapion. Unova brought him to meet Tone the male Seismitoad, Kroko the male Krookodile and Red the shiny Genesect. Jay meets Red after discovering Team Neo Plasma experimenting on it and other non shiny Genesects. Once freeing them, Jay has earned Red's trust. After making sure the rest of the Genesect are safe Red joins Jay. Journeying to Kalos Jay meets the Mega Evolution Guru, where he earns the Key Stone in the form of a necklace to Mega Evolve some of his Pokémon. Not only that he meets a female Lucario that seems to have an excellent connection to Jay. Guru decides to give her to Jay which he names Kyra as well as his first Mega Stone for Kyra. Thus, he begins searching for other stones until he finds the ones for Tempest, Sans and Princess. Deciding to take a bit of a vacation Jay heads to the Alola region, where he gets roped into partaking in the trials when Tapu Koko gives him a Z-ring. During which he meets a male Rockruff, choosing to add the little guy to the group giving it the name Alpha it later becomes the Dusk form of Lycanroc, Mimi the female Mimikyu and through battle gained the respect of the Mystic Pokémon Zeraora who was shiny. Jay called him Silver.
"Cin?" Jay blinks and looks over to Striker.
"Sorry about that, just going down memory lane buddy." Jay reassured his friend.
"Ace." the bunny nod in understanding.
"We've certainly seen and experienced a lot of things, haven't we." Jay stated.
"Cinderace!" Striker agreed.
"But what is there left to do?" the trainer questioned as he began walking down the steps.
"Ace cin." Striker followed behind Jay listening.
"Sure, I COULD take the teaching job that the Pokémon League is asking me to do. To teach new trainers all that I've learned but doing so would mean to give up traveling." Jay said.
As Jay got to the bottom of the steps the rest of his team came up to him seeing his troubles.
"I'm just not ready to settle down quite yet. I don't know what to do." Jay sighed.
The Pokémon looked at one another, not knowing how to comfort their friend. That is until Angel wraps one of her feelers around Jay's arm causing him look at her.
"Sylv." Angel reassured.
"Thanks Angel." Jay smiled.
"Sylveon!" Angel barked with a smile along with the others.
"Thou it doesn't stop from hoping for a sign to help with my decision (chuckles)." Jay joked.
"Then perhaps this is the point where we make our appearance." an unknown voice said.
"Wha!?" exclaimed Jay, right before a bright light engulfed him and his team.
When the light died down the group was able to see their surroundings making them shocked.
"The Hall of Origins." Jay whispered completely surprised and trying to figure out how they all got there.
"Correct Jason Nox and welcome all." the unknown voice from before said.
Looking up everyone froze in shock. Standing in front of them were four Legendary Pokémon. Giratina: Ruler of the Distortion World. Palkia: Ruler of Space. Dialga: Ruler of Time. Arceus: The God of all Pokémon. Even when these four primordial beings were in front of them it didn't stop the rest from getting in a battle stance to protect their trainer. This brought amusement to the four with Giratina expressing theirs.
"(Laughing) While most would quiver in fear of our presence you all do not. Most impressive. A testament to all your experiences no doubt." Giratina laughed.
"It just goes to show how much they care and trust their trainer." Dialga said.
"Indeed, even those who are of similar ranks as us." Palkia said looking at the Mystic and Legendries among the group.
-Lords Arceus, Dialga, Palkia and Giratina! Why have you brought us here?- Scarlet asked in shock.
"An excellent and fair question. The reason we have brought you here, Jason Nox is because we are in need your help once more." explained Arceus.
After being called by name, Jay snapped out of his shocked state.
"Need my help? With what exactly?" asked the man.
"To explore a new realm that we have recently discovered." the God said.
"A new realm!? Like in Ultra Space?" Jay asked with shock.
"Not quite the same. We observed this realm and found it different altogether from our own." Arceus said.
-How so?- asked Ruby.
"Well for starters…" Arceus began but stopped.
Arceus closed their eyes and took a moment before telling them. When they where ready, they reopened and spoke.
"This realm has NO Pokémon inhabitants whatsoever." Revealed Arceus.
This revelation truly surprised them.
-"WHAT!?"- shouted the group as a whole.
"An entire world without Pokémon!? Is that even possible!?" Jay exclaimed.
-How did you even find such a place!?- Silver asked.
"How we found this realm. Well…" Arceus trailed off looking back at both Dialga and Palkia causing the duo to look away.
The group was confused until the fourth God explained.
"(using wings to point at the two) These two idiots decided to have pissing match too see who was stronger. They unleashed their strongest attacks which resulted in a tear in Reality, thus leading us to the newly found realm." Giratina deadpanned as they finished.
"OI!" both Dialga and Palkia shouted at their third sibling.
"Are they wrong?" Arceus asked rhetorically.
Both Gods hung their heads in shame.
"Okay, so why do you want me to explore this world?" asked Jay.
"To see if this world is dangerous or not." replied the God.
"Dangerous? For what reason." Jay questioned.
"Incase we need to transport all the regions to safety." answered Arceus.
"Transfer?" Jay said.
"If something were to happen to our world that not even, WE Legendries could prevent, we would have to find another way to save everyone." Arceus said.
"Think of it as a last resort kind of plan." Palkia said.
"But it won't mean anything if we don't know what type of world we're going too." Giratina said.
"While we did send scouts, they were only meant to gather information before coming back." Dialga said.
-Scouts?- Tempest questioned.
-What did they discover?- Scala asked.
"The ones we sent were Darkrai, Marshadow and your brother Latios." Arceus answered while looking at Scarlet when mentioning her older brother.
-My brother?- Scarlet gasped with Arceus nodding.
"Their abilities allowed them to gather the information without being seen." Dialga explained.
"They had discovered the worlds name is Earthland. And a majority of humanity are able to wield magic." Arceus said.
"Magic? Magic exists there?" Jay gasped.
"Indeed it does. The 'wizards' as they are called formed Guilds that work together to keep the people safe throughout their kingdom. The Guilds are led by a group call the 'Magic Council' that keeps them unified." Arceus explained.
"Please, they're just a group of idiots that demand respect without doing anything to deserve it. Only two or three of them do deserve respect for all work they themselves do." Palkia scoffed.
"If they did then maybe there probably wouldn't be so many Dark Guilds." Giratina agreed.
"Dark Guilds?" Jay asked.
"Sadly yes. Some wizards either don't like how the council, as you would say 'running things' or just only care about themselves. Thus they band together and create Dark Guilds, allowing them to do whatever they want." Arceus said.
"They sound like the criminal Teams I faced." Jay says while remembering teams Rocket, Aqua, Magma, Galactic, Plasma/Neo Plasma and Flare.
"This is why we need you explore Earthland. To ensure that evil is not in control of this world. So that it may be a haven for our world." Arceus said.
"Even if I did go the people there are obviously stronger then me. I may have done extensive training for my body, and I may have my team with me, but if they get past them or I get separated from them I'll be in trouble." Jay said.
"I understand your reasoning and you are correct the humans of Earthland are indeed physically stronger so their bodies can handle and in turn use more magical power. Which is why I will be granting you a gift to even the scales for you in this new world. With it the people will believe that you yourself wield magic." Arceus said with a nod.
"What is it?" Jay asked while the Pokémon interested.
"I shall be giving you a portion of my power." Arceus announced.
Jay and his team jaws dropped; eyes widened. Jay would be given the powers of a God.
"While researching the many kinds of magic we discovered my ability Multitype is a close copy of a magic called 'Take over' in Earthland. By using the power of the Plates, you'll gain the ability to use our moves and pass them off as magic spells." Arceus explained.
"Wait would that mean I become part Pokémon?" Jay asked with uncertainty.
"Fear not, you will still be fully human. You will only gain the ability to use Pokémon moves and have the typing corresponding to what Plate you are using at the time. You won't however gain the type advantages/disadvantages spectrum of our species. For you and opponents."
Arceus explained.
-Why not?- Fang asked.
-Because they're still humans.- Nightwing responded.
-Oh… yeah that makes sense.- Fang nodded.
"Right…but how will I gain your powers?" Jay asked.
In response, Arceus summoned a pure white Plate in front of Jay.
"By using the Blank Plate, which holds the power of the Normal typing it will act as the pillar to use the other 17 Plates." Arceus said.
Jay was about to touch in when Arceus spoke up once more.
"But be warned, if you accept this task there is NO going back Jason Nox. As you are absorbing my power into your very being your appearance will change to match something akin to my own. If you wish to back out, then now is the time." warned Arceus.
Jay thought it over for a few minutes. He contemplated the pros and cons of this decision, until he came to one final question that would decide his choice.
"Why me? Out of ALL the trainers of our world. The Champions, the professors or anyone with more way more experience; why come to me?" Jay asked the Gods in front of him who looked at one another.
(He's asked an excellent question.)Dialga transmitted.
(Yes, as most would just agree regardless of what or why the reasons are.)Palkia transmitted.
(Knowing the difference between the time for action and the time for thinking, just proves the reason why we picked him.)Giratina transmitted.
(While good qualities to have, it is much more then that.)Arceus transmitted before looking at the chosen trainer.
"The reason we chose you as our first is simple Jason." Arceus began.
Jason looked Arceus right in the eye unblinking as the God of Pokémon did the same. Jay's team holding their breaths awaiting the answer.
"…It is because of your heart young one." Arceus answered softly.
"My…heart?" Jason asked in surprise.
"Tell me, if the regions were brought to Earthland what do you think might happen? If two completely different worlds and cultures came together, what would the result be?" Arceus asked.
Jay took a second to think it for right before it came to him.
"Chaos." Jay answered with widen eyes.
"(Nods) Correct. If we Legendries did it, the people of Earthland would fear our power and see Pokémon as well as trainers as a threat thus attacking the regions. Then in response to protect themselves both trainers and Pokémon will fight back; resulting in an all-out war." Arceus said.
The group was now beginning to realize the true depths of the situation.
"But if we had someone to act for us in our stead, say a human who is a trainer then they would more then likely to listen." Palkia pointed out.
"That is why we need you to take on this task Jason. What we need isn't someone who is a Champion or Professor. What we need for the region's possible future… is a Guardian." Arceus finished.
Jay closed his eyes, taking in all he had heard. Upon opening them again Arceus could see the determination burning within them.
"Then I accept your request Arceus. I will go to this new world and pave the way for our home in case it needs to be transferred there." Jay said with fortitude before turning to his family.
"Will you all help me. If you don't want to stay here, I fully understand." He said to them.
The Pokémon looked at one another then back at Jay with smirks.
-Cinderace (bumping his chest with balled up paw)- Striker said.
"(chuckles) Yeah stupid question. Of course, you all would come with me, just wanted to be sure is all." Jay smiled before looking back to Arceus.
"Before we begin the process of giving me your power, is okay for to go back to my house to get some belongings and items that might help me on my task?" Jay requested.
"Of course. That might help you greatly." Arceus agreed before opening a portal behind the group.
"This will take you back to your home. Gathered what you feel is needed, then we shall begin the next step." Arceus said.
Jay nodded in thanks and walked through with his team back home.
After arriving back, Jay took a deep breath before turning to his team.
"Well, this wasn't what I was expecting when I got up this morning." Jay stated with his Pokémon agreeing with him.
"All right. We're breaking up into groups to gather everything faster." Jay announced getting the attention of his family.
"Me, Striker and Hime will pack up my clothes and any electronics I might need. Kyra, Scarlet and Silver; you three head over to the medicine and pack up as much as you can. Get a variety too. Everyone else is on berry duty. If Earthland is like our world, then they must have fertile soil for growing plants. When we get there, we'll look for some land to grow the berries for medicine." Jay said giving them their tasks.
The Pokémon gave their cries in response before splitting up.
Heading inside Kyra, Scarlet and Silver go towards the kitchen to grab the medicine they will no doubt need. While Jay, Striker and Hime head up to the human's room. Before going up Jay looks towards the videophone.
"You two head on up. There's a couple of calls I need to make first." Jay said.
"Cin/Gard." The fire and psychic/fairy type's nod in understanding, before counting on.
Jay heads to the phone before putting in a number. After a couple rings later a lady that looks like a secretary answers.
"Charles Goodshows office." the secretary said.
"Hello this is Jason Nox. I believe that is expecting my call." Jay said.
"One moment please." the secretary said before putting Jay on hold.
While Jay waited, he tried to figure out what to say. Soon the face of an old but joyous man popped up on the screen.
"Ah Jay my boy, great to hear from you!" Goodshow said with a smile.
"Hello . How are you doing?" Jay asked.
"I'm doing quite well." Answered the old man.
"Now, I'm guessing the call is about the offer that was given to you, yes?" Goodshow said.
"It is sir." Jay said.
Charles Goodshow simply waited to hear Jay's response.
"While it is a great job opportunity, I'm afraid I can't take the job quite yet." Jay answered.
"Oh, is that so. Can you perhaps tell me the reason why." requested Goodshow while he stroked his Santa Claus like beard.
"I don't think you would believe me even if I told you sir." Jay said. At this Charles straightened in his seat.
"Young man, I have seen a thing or two when I was your age and I've never told anyone before. Not even my closest friends." Goodshow said much to Jay's surprise to his seriousness.
"I can tell by the look in your eyes that this is a serious matter." Charles said.
Jason knew he had to tell the older man everything.
"Alright, but this information stays between us okay. It wouldn't be good if the wrong people heard. Especially THOSE people." Jay said which the Goodshow nodded in response.
Jay began to tell him all that happened and the request that he accepted from Arceus. When he was done, Charles carefully thought through what he just heard.
"Well, well this is big. A request from the God of Pokémon itself. No wonder you had to turn ours down." Goodshow finally said.
"Yes, I'm sorry but this is important." Jay said.
"Indeed, it is. Who knows what could be apart of this new world." Charles said.
"I noticed you said, 'can't take the job quite yet'. Meaning you are interested in it yes?" Goodshow pointed out.
"Yes sir. I just don't feel like settling down yet. Not when there could still be things to do. Like say traveling an entire whole new world." Jay said with a smile.
"(Laughing) I know just how you feel. There are days I wish I was a couple decades younger myself. There is nothing wrong with wanting to live your life, Jason." Charles said.
"Just know, the offer is still on the table whenever you feel ready for it." Goodshow said with a grandfatherly smile.
"Thank you for understanding sir." Jay said.
Charles Goodshow nodded and cut the call. In his office he leans back in his chair thinking.
"To be the first person that Arceus called on for help. Jason you truly are a remarkable individual my boy. One who will go far in this world; or rather TWO worlds now." mumbled the old man.
After hanging up the phone, Jay dialed the number of his mother. If there was one person who deserved knowing he was going to a whole new world it was his mother. After ringing a couple times Jay's mom appeared on screen.
"Hello? OH, Jason this is a surprise! Two calls in one day." Jay's mom said.
"Heh, ah yeah pretty shocking huh?" Jay chuckled trying to figure out the best way to break the ice.
His mom noticed something off about him and narrowed her eyes.
"What's wrong Jay." his mother suddenly asked.
"Huh?" Jay responded taken aback by her abrupt question.
"Don't 'huh' me young man. I know you too well for you to hide something from your own mother. Does it have to do with calling me again so soon." Jay's mother demanded.
Jay signed. She was right, he could never hide anything from her after all these years. A mother's instincts were scary.
"Yeah, it does mom." Jay said.
The two Nox's stood there, looking at one another. The mother, waiting for her son to speak and the son not knowing what to say exactly. Until the women spoke first.
"Jason, do you remember what I said this morning when we talked earlier?" his mom asked.
"I do. You said that you would support me no matter what I chose to do. Though I don't think current matter applies to it." Jay said.
"You let me be the judge of that. Now talk." momma Nox said.
For the second time that day he retold what transpired between him and the Pokémon God. When he finished telling her, she was shocked to say the least.
"Wow. I was not expecting that. At all." said his mom after finding her voice again.
"Pretty crazy right?" Jay chuckled nervously.
"Yes, it is but it doesn't change the fact that you've already made your choice does it." his mom said to his surprise.
"I've agreed to help Arceus yes." Jay said.
"Well at lest you called to tell me about it, instead of worrying me to death by not hearing from you." said.
Jay chuckled while rubbing the back of his head. His mom shacking her head with a smile.
"You seem less worried than I thought you'd be mom." Jay admitted.
"Are you taking your Pokémon with you?" she asked with narrow eyes.
"Yes, all of them." he responded.
"Clothes?"
"Yes."
"Medicine?"
"Yes."
"Then what do I have to be worried about for? How is this any different then you going to a new region?" questioned with a smile.
Jay could only blink at her response.
"Just promise me you'll be safe sweetie okay." his mother said.
"I will mom. Always." Jay answered with a smile.
"Good. Who knows, maybe you'll get a girlfriend or two in this new world." said with an 'innocent' smile.
"DAMNIT MOM!" Jay yelled blushing.
"Bye-bye honey. Call me if you are able too." his mom said like nothing about the previous sentence was wrong in anyway before ending the call.
"(Groaning) Why does she have to keep bring up my love life." Jay moaned.
To say that Jason's mom wants grandkids…was an understatement. When she told me if he found himself liking multiple girls, make them all his girlfriends. When he asked why in shock she responded with 'So I can have more grandchildren'. She has never stopped telling him ever since he turned 18.
Sighing Jason went to check to see everyone's progress and see what else he may or may not need.
After gathering and double checking that they had everything, or they might possibly need on this new adventure. Jay locked up his home, grabbed his bag (thank fuck science and technology advancements where you can fit millions of things in your bag and not have it get heavy), looked at his team where everyone gave him a nod and walked back through the portal.
Back at the H.o.O (Hall of Origins) while Arceus was waiting patiently for Jay to come back with their eyes closed, the other three were playing a card game. (Dialga is holding their cards the same way they can fly. Giratina is using his wings)
"Got any sevens?" Dialga asked.
"Go fish." Palkia answered.
"Damn." Dialga grunted picking up a card from the pile.
"Got any Jacks?" Giratina asked.
"Yup." Palkia said handing it over.
Just then Arceus opens their eyes sensing Jay and his Pokémon returning.
"They have returned." Arceus told the others getting their attention and stopping their game.
Coming out of the portal was Jay and his team. After everyone came through, the portal closed behind them.
"Have you finished everything you have felt necessary to be done?" Arceus asked.
"Yes, but there's something I want to ask about." Jay responded.
Arceus nodded, signalling the human to continue.
"Would I be able to contact the people I know in our world when I'm in the other one?" Jay asked.
"Hmm, theoretically since the two worlds are connected and is stable yes you should be able to keep in contact with others." Arceus answered after thinking it over.
"Thank you, I just wanted to be sure." Jay said.
"Is there anything more?" Arceus asked.
Nobody said nor did anything in response to this question. Taking this the okay to finally get things underway, Arceus continued.
"Good now we can get things started." Arceus said.
Then the Blank Plate appears in front Jay once again. The pure white Plate floating just within arms length of Jason but remembering what Arceus warned earlier he waited for the God to speak.
"Now as I explained before about accepting the power of the Plate your appearance will change. All you have to do is touch and will it into your being. I will not lie that once you do you will feel great amounts of pain. It will only last a few moments perhaps a minute. Whatever you do, don't lose focus. Arceus explained and warned.
The Pokémon eye's widened at this reveal while Jason cringed while looking at the Plate before asking Arceus a question.
"Will this happen every time I absorb a Plate?" Jay asked.
"No only the Blank Plate. The others will be completely painless." Arceus said much to his and the group's relief.
After hearing that Jay took a deep breath, reached out his, braced himself and touched the Blank Plate, absorbing it into him. He was waiting a few moments, but nothing happened. Huh…maybe he should ask Arceus what was wro-PAIN. PAIN! SO MUCH FUCKING PAIN! HOLY SHIT IT HURT MORE THEN ANYTHING HE WENT THROUGH ON HIS TEN YEARS OF BEING A TRAINER! He wanted to scream, to beg it to stop; but he knew he had to endure. After what felt like hours of pain, it finally rescinded. Groaning Jay saw he was on the floor, not realizing he must have fallen during the whole thing. When he got up his Pokémon crowded him seeing if he was okay but were taken back by his new appearance. His height and weight stayed the same, as well as his Key Stone, Z-Power Ring and Dynamax Band being around his neck, left arm and right arm respectively. What DID change however was his hair, eyes and clothes. What use to be black was now as white as Arceus's fur with golden tips. Blues eye's turned red. Finally, his clothing; Jason now wore a grey tank-top, black hiking jeans with a white belt and gold belt buckle holding them up. Covering his feet white and gold combat boots whit green gems stones adorning them. Gold fingerless gloves that also had a bigger green gem in the center of them. Last but not least a white jacket that covered him. The jacket ended just above the back of his knees while the sleeves at his elbows. The edges of the sleeves were golden was well with the Arceus's symbol on the back (picture Dante's jacket from DMC5 but with the listed details).
"I'm guessing by the looks on your faces I look good." Jay joked.
"See for yourself." Arceus insisted while summoning a full body mirror.
Jason went slack jawed. He took in every inch of his new appearance and was astounded.
"If your clothing is damaged in any way, they will repair themselves over time. Also, your pockets will have the same function as your bag, so you don't have to worry about being separated from your team. No doubt some of your other cloths have changed as well." Arceus mentioned.
"Holy shit." the transformed male whispered. He could also feel the power coursing throughout his entire body.
"(Chuckles) Yes quite the change, isn't it? I did say you would end up looking a bit like me." Arceus reminded him.
"Now then, shall we continue. There is still much to do after all." Arcues said getting the groups attention.
"Right, so what happened now? Do you give me the rest of the Plates?" Jay asked.
"Yes and no." Arceus said.
"…Pokémon God say what now?" Jay asked (Text Box: the trainer is confused).
The Pokémon are also confused by what Arceus meant.
"What I mean is you will only be given a few of the Plates. You will need to find the rest." Arceus explained.
"WHAT?! But why?" Jay demanded.
"To test you is why." Arceus stated calmly.
"A…test?" Jay repeated.
-Why would you need to test Jason for?- Garo asked.
-Yes hasn't he proven himself enough already?- Arc asked.
"It is true that Jason has proven himself time and again, but this is a different kind of test. A test of Heart." Arceus said.
"A test of Heart? What do you mean by that Arceus?" Jay asked.
"Even the most righteous and kindest of hearts can fall to the corruption of overwhelming power. This test is to prove yourself that you can over come such temptation and stay true to yourself. By finding the rest of the Plates, besides the ones you chose here." Arceus explained.
"I…suppose I can understand what you mean. Cyrus and Lysandre both wanted to change the world for the better, but in the end nearly destroyed it instead." Jason admitted.
The ex-leaders of teams Galactic and Flare respectively. They tried to help people who needed it in their own ways but became too much for them. Cyrus believed that spirit is what's wrong with people, so he aimed to recreate the world without it. Lysandre concluded that there were too many people in the world and the numbers needed to be 'cut down' with only a selected chosen few surviving to help rebuild. Both men started out with noble intentions, but the sway of power was to much and they lost their way.
"Then you see why I must do this. Not just for you but for the success of your task. All humans have light and darkness in their hearts. It all depends on one's outlook on life." Arceus said wisely.
Jay nodded in understanding. As the old saying goes 'It only takes one bad day.'
"Now that we're all on the same page; shall we get to picking which one's you'll start with." Arceus said while summoning the other 17 Plates.
"How many am I allowed though?" Jay asked.
"Counting the Blank Plate, you will be starting with six Plates. Just like how trainers are only allowed six Pokémon at a time. Therefore, you will choose five Plates and the rest will be sent to the region or 'nation' as they call them to Fiore where we will also be sending you. Now, choose wisely." Arceus explained.
Jay closed his eyes, crossed his arms and started thinking hard. He decided to break the thinking process up into sections. Starting with how and where to find the Plates. If they really ARE being sent everywhere there, then they could literally end up anywhere. Even the most unlikely and unimaginable of places. Thanks to that process Jay knew which three Plates to pick. Next, he theorised from the rest which Plates would help him in the long run and which one's wouldn't. Already Jay eliminated multiple Plates and narrowed it down to a few. Until finally Jay made his choice. Opening his eye's, he looked at Arceus.
"I have picked the Plates I want." Jay announced.
"Speak them." Arceus said.
"The Flame, Splash, Earth, Zap and Sky Plates." Jay said.
(I can understand the flame, splash and earth one's since the Plates could end up in a volcano, the ocean or even deep underground. But why zap and sky?) Palkia transmitted.
(The Zap Plate, I think is for charging his electric devices.) Dialga transmitted.
(And the sky is probably for both traveling to places faster and giving him air superiority in battle.) Giratina Transmitted.
"Understood." Arceus said, bringing the chosen Plates towards Jay.
Hesitantly, he touches them and like before willed them inside his soul. The difference this time was instead of a fuck-ton of searing pain, it was more of a warmth at his core. He could also feel a lot stronger than before with just the Blank Plate.
'I must be careful when acquiring the other Plates. Even if I gain them all, I can't lose sight of myself. But…' Jay thought.
"Judging from the look in your eye's, you've realized the full extent of my warning, yes." Arceus said.
"I have…but I don't need to worry." Jay said.
"Oh? How come?" asked Arceus.
"It's because I trust my Pokémon to keep me on the right path." Jay said looking at his family.
Every one of them smiled while looking back at him.
"As long as I have them at my side, I'll never fall to the corruption and temptation." Jay stated with certainty.
"Very well. If your bond is truly that strong and deep, then nothing more needs to be said." Arceus stated.
They then turned to the remaining Plates. Focusing their power, the Plates turned into balls of energy and sent them through the rift and towards Fiore.
"We will now send you all through the rift. We will try to get you as close to civilisation as possible. Are you ready?" Arceus asked for the final time.
"We are." Jay said without having to look at his team.
"Then I wish you the best of luck on your journey, young one's." Arceus wished them right before a bright light consumed them.
