Narrator's POV

It is a sunny day in the city of Paris, the sky is clear and calm only a few clouds, the sun is shining and a light breeze, makes the climate pleasant for all citizens of the city.

For once, after a long time, nothing important happened in Paris, no sightings of evil butterflies or colorful animal-themed heroes.

Among the thousands of cars driving the streets of Paris, our point of interest is a white taxi traveling along a road towards the suburbs.

Inside a taxi there are three people, the taxi driver, a young woman and a teenage boy.

The driver is a simple man, with characteristics that are easy to forget, who will not have a big role in this story, unlike his passengers.

The woman's name is, Leni Loud.

Leni is 21 years old, 160 centimeters tall.

Leni has long, light blonde hair with side-swept bangs and three pairs of eyelashes.

Leni wears a sea foam green dress, white heeled boots, gold earrings, and a pair of rounded white sunglasses with black lenses on top of her head.

Physically Leni can be described as a sex bomb, who could easily become a model if she was no longer interested in creating clothes.

The boy's name is, Lincoln Loud.

Lincoln is 16 years old, 160 centimeters tall.

Lincoln has short white hair, gray eyes, noticeable bags around his eyes, and freckles on his cheeks.

Lincoln is wearing an orange t-shirt, a black sweatshirt, jeans and running shoes.

Physically, Lincoln presents himself as thin and slender, being a person who prefers indoor activities such as reading, writing and drawing.

"Where was I with my story?" Leni mutters, having forgotten what she was talking to the driver about.

"You were talking about how you finished fashion college." Lincoln said, helping both his older sister remember.

"Once I finished school, I looked for work in the fashion industry and by some miracle Gabriel Agreste took an interest in my work and proposed me to come and work under him." Leni declares with a voice full of happiness and enthusiasm.

The opportunity to work under the famous fashion designer in France is practically a dream come true for the loud-mouthed blonde.

"At the same time, my little Linky won a creative writing competition which brought him a scholarship to one of the best schools in Paris!" Leni states as she hugs her little brother tightly.

"Leni I'm no longer small, we are the same height now." Lincoln said in a slightly annoyed voice.

The white-haired boy is tired of being considered small by his older sisters, especially when he is taller than almost all of his sisters.

The blonde beauty didn't hear her younger brother's words, Leni is too busy telling her little story.

"It's not an incredible coincidence that sister and brother go to Paris at the same time to live their dreams." Leni declares, maintaining a positive attitude.

"We have arrived at our destination, the journey from the airport to here will cost you fifty euros." The driver said, stopping the taxi in a modest suburban neighborhood.

"Are we there yet? Time flies when you're having fun." Leni said as she exits the white cab, going to get her bags.

"Here's your money." Lincoln said, taking care of the pay for the driver, along with a little extra.

Even if he doesn't show it, the driver is definitely tired from hearing Leni's entire life during the trip.

"Thank you so much, Kid. Good luck looking out for your sister, she's definitely one of a kind" The driver said, clearly seeing who between the two is the more responsible and down to earth.

The driver seeing that he received a little extra, decided to do a good deed.

"Here's a tip as new residents of Paris, watch out for black butterflies and if you see Ladybug or/and Chat Noir, you need to run away." The driver said, delivering a piece of advice that all newcomers to Paris should know.

'Has Paris been invaded by butterflies, ladybugs and cats?' Lincoln thinks, failing to understand the true meaning of the advice he received.

"You'll know it when you see it." The driver said, before driving away, leaving the two Louds at their new home.

XXX

In front of Leni and Lincoln there is a two-story villa, surrounded by a wooden fence.

The villa is not the kind of luxury home that appears in magazines for the rich and famous.

Instead, it is an old mansion that could have been built a hundred years ago and can easily house ghosts.

'Lucy would be delighted to move into this house.' Lincoln thinks, trying not to shudder at the sight of the old mansion.

Lucy, her younger sister to Leni and Lincoln, would have moved seamlessly into an old mansion straight out of an episode of Scooby-Doo.

"Leni, tell me how did you manage to buy a villa like that?" Lincoln asks, wondering how his older sister bought a large mansion in Paris.

Certainly it is an old house and is located on the outskirts, but it remains a large two-story villa, and despite its age, it is certainly more resistant and functional than the Loud House.

The young blonde-haired woman places her hand on her chin, trying to remember the details of the house purchase.

"The previous owner, an elderly man with a funny name, Zelretch, wanted to leave Paris as soon as possible, so he made me a special offer." Leni said, finding nothing suspicious in the deal he made.

"Let's go and see the whole thing and hope we don't find any nasty surprises." Lincoln said, wanting to see their new home as soon as possible and find out if there are any defects or dangers in it.

"Why on earth would there be a bad surprise?" Leni asks in an innocent voice, not having the slightest doubt that the previous owner might have scammed her.

"Forget it, Leni, let's go carry the bags inside." Lincoln said, not wanting to waste half an hour of his life explaining to Leni the dangers of potential scams.

"As you wish, Linky!" Leni exclaims in a carefree voice as she grabs her side of the luggage.

XXX

For the next few hours, sister and brother explored their new residence.

Leni simply wants to get to know her new home and get an idea of how she can improve its appearance.

Lincoln being more responsible and realistic, checks that the house has all the essentials.

Fortunately, water, electricity, gas and heating work perfectly without any problems.

"This is a nice, big house." Lincoln said as he sits in an armchair in the living room, resting for a moment.

Lincoln is not exaggerating, their new residence is quite spacious and is furnished with excellent quality furniture.

On the first floor there is a large living room, a large kitchen, a pantry, two bedrooms and a large bathroom.

On the second floor there are two more bedrooms, a living room, a completely empty bedroom and a small bathroom.

There are also a basement and an attic, but they have not been visited by Leni and Lincoln, who at the moment prefer to avoid exploring dark and dusty places.

"Now, not only does each of us have a personal room, but we could have our own floor of the house." Leni said, seeing that the house can easily be divided between the two of them.

"You know, it's not a bad idea. We are two people and there are four bedrooms. We could turn two of those bedrooms into a room for our hobbies." Lincoln said, imagining having a room dedicated solely to creating comics and other art projects.

"We should go shopping, the house is nice, but it definitely needs some renovations here and there." Leni said, ready to visit the shops of Paris to renew her wardrobe and the furniture of her new residence.

"What's wrong with furniture?" Lincoln said, seeing no need to renovate a well-maintained house.

"They're too retro for my taste, I need something more modern." Leni declares, as if it were obvious that the furniture in the house belongs to the previous generation.

" I'm not Lisa, but I don't think it's the right time to do a renovation, your finances are pretty low right now." Lincoln said, trying to reason with Leni.

The white-haired boy is aware, that if Leni goes on a shopping trip, she risks spending all her money on clothes, instead of keeping it to pay bills and other essentials.

This time Lincoln's words were heard by Leni's little brain.

"Until I receive my first payment from Gabriel Agreste, I will only make necessary purchases." Leni said in a less happy voice.

The young woman understands that she is now the adult of the house and must look after her younger brother, the new home and the rest of the responsibilities.

'Being the biggest sucks.' Thinks Leni, having much preferred visiting the shops in Paris instead of being a manager.

"I'm going out to do some shopping, I think some pasta with sauce would be good for lunch. Linky, you could go into the attic and see if there are... any spiders." Leni said with a trembling voice, getting chills just thinking about arachnids.

"Leave it to me, Leni." Lincoln said, standing up in full force, ready to help Leni with her phobia

"I'll try to get back as soon as possible." Leni said, grabbing her purse, before leaving the house.

Getting up from the couch, Lincoln begins to climb the stairs.

"The operation begins: Visit the attic to see if there are spiders, so Leni can sleep peacefully." Lincoln said, showing that he hadn't yet learned to come up with names for his missions.

XXX

Within minutes, Lincoln is climbing the stairs to the attic.

The white-haired boy stops in front of a silver metal door and a gold handle.

"This door looks like something out of a fantasy book." Lincoln said, noting the elegant design and the presence of a decoration of a creature that looks like a cross between a cat, a fox and an eagle.

Reaching out, Lincoln, touches the gold handle.

Suddenly, for a single moment, Lincoln feels as if he has received an electric shock.

The white-haired boy quickly withdraws his hand from the handle, not seeming shaken by the electric shock.

Living with Luan, a prank queen, all his life, Lincoln has developed a resistance to electricity.

Taking into account Lisa's experiments and the animals that Lana brought from the aquarium, Lincoln can survive much worse shocks.

"It must have been the static." Lincoln said, trying to touch the gold doorknob again.

I'm sure that the previous sensation was the result of static energy.

This time, Lincoln didn't feel any kind of shock or strange sensation.

"Let's see what the attic looks like?" Lincoln mutters, opening the door and stepping inside.

XXX

When Lincoln stepped into the attic, the lights opened, illuminating the room.

'Motion sensors connected to the lights, nice.' Lincoln thinks, having spent enough time with Lisa.

Lincoln has gained a certain habit of being able to come up with a logical answer to everything, except for the behavior of his sisters and girls in general.

Normally, the typical attic is a glorified repository for dust and old stuff that no one wants to throw away, but they don't want to have around either.

But the attic of this house is an elegant place, well cleaned and full of interesting objects.

Red carpets on the floors; glass lamp placed around the walls; tables filled with scientific instruments and chemical equipment; libraries and shelves full of books; Stylish cabinets and many other things are there in the attic.

"The attic looks like a super-hero's hideout or a wizard's lair." Lincoln said, looking at this place with vivid interest.

Opening one of the wardrobes out of curiosity, instead of finding old clothes, he found a pile of medieval weapons.

" They are real ?" Lincoln questions as he grabs a sword from the closet and tries to lift it.

Unfortunately, Lincoln is a nerd with no physical strength, so he can barely hold the sword in his hands for more than a few seconds.

"Thank goodness Lynn is on the other side of the world, if she wouldn't have laughed at me for days and then made a mess of this stuff." Lincoln said, not even wanting to imagine what Lynn might do if she had a sword handy.

Closing the cabinet full of medieval weapons, Lincoln continues to look around, finding occult-looking objects, valiant-looking antiques, and trinkets that look like scientific instruments from a bygone era.

"How come the previous owner left all this stuff behind?" Lincoln questions, growing more and more curious about the old man who sold the house to Leni.

Such a collection of ancient objects, of course, some of them must be worth a small fortune, indeed some of these objects might end up in a museum.

"I think it will be a mystery to be solved one day." Lincoln said, wanting to finish exploring the attic first, then look for clues about the previous owner.

XXX

For the next few minutes, Lincoln continued to open drawers and cabinets.

In the bottom drawer he found a pile of perfectly preserved skeletons of small animals.

"No doubt Lucy would have loved this place." Lincoln said, closing the drawer full of skeletons, not wanting to touch such stuff.

"Maybe Lisa too, although I'm not too sure." Lincoln said, turning his attention to the table full of archaic chemical equipment.

At that moment, Lincoln noticed that under the chemistry table there is some kind of black wooden chest with a silver lock in the shape of a dragon's head.

"This looks like something out of a fantasy novel or Pirates of the Caribbean." Lincoln mutters as he drags the trunk out from under the table.

The white-haired boy kneels down to look at the old chest more closely.

"I'm lucky there isn't a lock, unlike some drawers and cabinets." Lincoln said, looking at half the furniture in the room that didn't want to open at all.

When Lincoln touched the treasure chest, a strange thing happened, Lincoln's mind was flooded with the thought of not touching the treasure chest and he goes back downstairs to deal with his bags.

The white-haired boy withdraws his hands and almost prepares to exit the attic.

'What can happen if I open a chest?' A little voice in Lincoln's head said, coaxing him to open the treasure chest.

Driven by curiosity and ignoring the bad omen, Lincoln opened the chest.

Then, look carefully at the contents, expecting to find a little pirate treasure or something valuable.

"A wizard's wardrobe and equipment?" Lincoln mutters in a disappointed voice, pulling an old witch's hair and a dusty black cloak out of the chest.

In the chest, in addition to these two objects, there are ancient-looking books, amulets and other occult stuff, including an urn.

Rummaging through the equipment, Lincoln picked up a silver five-pointed star signature amulet.

"Cute, I think it's real silver." Lincoln mutters, placing the star-shaped amulet in his pockets.

"What can an urn be used for?" Lincoln said, curious about the presence of a Chinese urn in a wizard's chest.

Taking the urn in his hands, Lincoln begins to examine it.

The item is black in color and smooth to the touch, however it is as cold as iron left on the street in the middle of winter.

The urn is decorated with hundreds of images showing beasts and creatures from various legends and tales.

"It's the creepiest thing I've seen in a long time. I think I've found the perfect birthday present for Lucy." Lincoln said, convinced that he found a souvenir for her gothic little sister.

After saying these words, the images on the surface of the urn began to move.

One hundred drawings in the shape of monstrous beasts stared at Lincoln who reacted like a normal person.

"haaaaaa!" Lincoln screams like a little girl who has seen a horror movie for the first time in her life.

The white-haired boy is so scared that he drops the urn on the floor.

CRACK!

The urn broke into about a hundred pieces.

Before Lincoln could understand what happened, each fragment began to glow dark purple and emit a dark miasma.

"Haaaaaaaaa!" Lincoln screams again and hides under the table, not wanting to be near this paranormal phenomenon.

All one hundred fragments rose into the air and began flying to every possible angle, eventually passing through walls and going God knows where.

Lincoln remained under the table, trembling like a sheep before the wolf.

"What happened." Lincoln mutters softly, crawling out of his hiding place.

Slowly, very slowly, Lincoln approached the chest, not knowing what he is actually looking for.

'For once I hope Luan is playing a trick on me.' Lincoln thinks, wishing for once in his life to be the victim of one of Luan's complex pranks.

When the white-haired boy sticks his head into the chest, hoping in vain to find an orographic projector, something strange happened.

SMASH!

An old book as thick as a dictionary flew out of the chest, hitting Lincoln in the face.

"haaaaaa!" The white-haired boy screams in pain as he falls onto his butt and covers his face with his hands.

The old book fell to the floor near Lincoln's feet.

"Thank goodness, my nose isn't broken." Lincoln mutters, managing to compose himself rather quickly.

Spending his entire life with Lynn allowed him to gain a certain tolerance for pain.

"First a damn urn and a book just hit me in the face!

This house is haunted that's why Leni was able to buy it at a low price!" Lincoln concludes, imagining that the old owner fled the house because of ghosts or something found in the house.

"It wasn't a book that hit you, I hit you in the face!" She exclaims a childish voice that is obviously angry.

Lincoln lowers his head towards the floor, the childish voice coming from the book on the floor.

"A Talking Book!? This story is getting stranger and stranger." Lincoln said, putting his head in his hands.

"I knew that one day my sisters would drive me crazy.

But I thought it would happen during a fight, not when I finally ran away from them." Lincoln said, starting to imagine that all the weird stuff is going on in his head.

"You're a funny guy." He said the childish voice coming from the book, seeming amused by Lincoln's reaction.

"If I didn't go crazy, then who are you and what happened?" Lincoln asks, desperately wanting an answer.

After this sentence, the book opened to the first page, showing a portrait of a cute, mythical creature.

As if by magic, the creature depicted in the book emerged from the page of the book.

The creature is the size of a small kitten.

At a basic level I have the build of one of those tiny puppies that can fit in a handbag.

Its fur is yellow as if it were gold, it has two long bunny ears and three fox tails.

The tips of their ears, tails and paws appear to emit a white, fire-like light.

On the forehead emerges a small horn curved upwards of gold-platinum color.

The creature has two large amethyst-colored eyes.

"I am Altair, the great guardian of the Grimoire of Quintessence." He states the little creature in an authoritative voice.

"Am I dreaming? Am I really talking to a creature that looks like a Pokémon or a Digimon?" Lincoln murmurs, convinced that everything he has seen is the fruit of his imagination.

"If this were a dream, you would feel this!" Altair said, pointing his horn in Lincoln's direction, aiming below his belt.

Altair's horn glows for a second, then a small ball of golden light was fired from Altair's horn, hitting Lincoln squarely.

The white-haired boy fell to his knees, placing his hands on the affected parts of their body.

"No, I'm definitely awake, if it was a dream, it wouldn't hurt so much." Lincoln murmurs, holding back tears of pain.

Clearly, today is not Lincoln's lucky day.

"What's your name, kid?" Altair asks, watching Lincoln with interest, as if studying him himself.

"Lincoln Loud." Lincoln replies, not wanting to anger the little magical creature capable of shooting energy projectiles.

"Lincoln Loud, do you have any idea what you did?" Altair asks in a serious voice, sounding like a teacher chastising a student.

"Did I interrupt your nap?" Lincoln said, pulling out the first thing that crosses his mind.

"No !" Altair exclaims loudly, slamming his paws hard.

"Did I break a vase?" Lincoln said, laying out the only bad thing he did today.

"You have destroyed Hei's prison, releasing into the world the 100 Evil Spirits who have been locked up for over three thousand years!" Altair states, walking towards Lincoln, exiting the surface of the book.

"Lincoln Loud, you have unleashed a calamity on Paris, so you will have to become a sorcerer and right your wrong!" Altair proclaims, pointing a small paw in Lincoln's direction.

"What!? I have to become a sorcerer?" He asks Lincoln, becoming extremely confused as to what is going on.
